Getting away from V was much easier than I thought. Cam didn't have any errands to run. I just wanted to go to the jewelry store.

"Do you have in mind what kind of ring you want to get Violet?" Cam asked.

"Nope but I'm hoping when I see it I'll know," I said as we pull up at the jewelry store in town.

We walk in and a older lady is smiling at me and walks over. "Can I help you, young man?"

"Hi yeah, I'm here looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend," I said.

"Oh right this way. Anything in mind?" She asked.

"No I'm just hoping when I see it I will know." I laugh.

"Yeah he brought me with him and I know nothing about jewelry." Cam laughed.

She walks around the counter and pulls out a velvet square full of rings and I lean down to get a closer look but I'm just not seeing it.

"Wait I have more." She said putting those rings back and gets out another square full of rings and that's when I saw it.

"That one right there!" I point.

She picks it up and shows it to me. I take it out of her hand and look at it better. "What do you think Cam?"

"I think it's a beautiful ring and would look lovely on Violet's hand." He said.

"I think this is the one," I said handing it back to her.

"So do you want me to wrap it up for you sir?" She asked.

"Yes please, that's the one," I said.

Once I paid we headed back to the truck and I hid the ring in the glove box. "Now to get that in the house." I laugh.

"I think you made a good pick. Why don't we stop and at least act like we ran an errand? I would like to go to a bank and set up a savings and deposit money since I don't spend it overseas." Cam said.

"We can do that and then I want to take some flowers back to V.," I said.

I pull up at the bank and Cam goes in and does his business and when he comes back out we head over to the flower shop.

I go in and get V a big bunch of rainbow-looking roses. When I come back out Cam smirks.

"Who are you smirking at? Didn't want to get Sierrah some flowers?" I ask.

"Might be a little early for that." Cam laughed.

"I like Sierrah a lot she's a sweet girl but very naive about things and I'm pretty sure she's never had a boyfriend," I said.

"I kinda figured that when we were talking over dinner but I still like her. She's a ray of sunshine." He smiled.

When we get back home I didn't see V anywhere. I went upstairs and looked in the bedroom and she was asleep in the bed.

I walk back downstairs and put her flowers in the water when the doorbell went off. Cam walked into the room to get the door.

He opens it and Avah walks in. "Hi, you must be Cam. I'm Avah Violet's mom." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you." Cam smiled.

"Coop where is Violet?" Avah asked.

"She went to lay down when we went out this morning and I came back with flowers for her and she's still asleep," I said.

"I'm going to go check on her. That's not like her." Avah said sitting some containers on the counter.

"I'm guessing this is for us?" I ask.

"Yes, spaghetti." She said going upstairs.

"Dinner is made." I grin at Cam.

"Sounds delicious." He laughed.

"Will you go get that out of the glovebox and hide it in your room for me?" I ask.

"Sure and nows a good time," Cam said getting up and heading outside.

When Avah walked back down she looked worried. "I am afraid she has an infection. I think she needs to go back to the hospital and be checked." She said.

"I will be glad to take her back to the ER and get her checked out," I said.

"She's awake now. She would probably like her flowers. And Levi told me your plan and I'm on board." Avah smiled.

"Thank you. I got the ring today." I whispered.

"I can't wait! But yeah please take her to the ER and get her checked." Avah said heading to the door.

I grab the flowers and head upstairs. V is still laying in the bed but she smiles when she sees me.

"Are those for me?" She sits up.

"Of course they are. Your mom said you still aren't feeling well. Will you let me take you back to the ER? Maybe you have an infection." I ask sitting down on the bed.

She takes the flowers from me and smells them and then sits the vase on the end table. "Yes, I will because I know you all are worried. Let me get dressed." She said.

She put clothes on and put her hair up in a bun and we headed downstairs. Cam was sitting at the table on the laptop.

"Feeling better Violet?" He asked.

"No not really Cam." She said.

"I'm taking her to the ER to be checked again. Do you want to ride with us?" I asked.

"Sure I'll go." He said closing the laptop.

"Let's take my truck we will have more room." She said handing me the keys.

"You mean I get to drive?" I chuckle.

"Yes, you do, and don't let me regret it." She laughed.

Cam opened her door and made sure she got in ok before he jumped in the back.

"I want a truck like this when I move back here," Cam said.

"This truck drives smooth compared to my Tacoma," I said.

"Yeah, I most definitely want one. Violet, will you help me pick one out when I come back?" Cam asked.

"Of course I will. I think we are going to be good friends." She smiles back at him.

I place my hand on her thigh and squeeze smiling over at her.
