A month had gone by since the day Cam left. According to Sierrah, they have been texting daily.

I'm about to head to the dr. Coop couldn't go with me because once I told the Chief I was pregnant I was put on desk duty and Coop has been working different shifts now.

We plan to tell everyone this weekend. They are coming over for spaghetti night. Not sure how we are going to tell them yet.

Coop called his mom and told her and I finally met her on facetime but she didn't seem too impressed. I'm glad she's really far away.

I pull up at the doctor's office and being a cop I always look around and check my surroundings before getting out.

I walk inside and sign in and pull out my phone to scroll Facebook while I wait.

When the nurse comes and gets me she checks my temp and weighs me. I can't wait to see the baby again. I just hate that Coop isn't here.

When Dr. Sally walks in she's smiling. "Ready to see this baby?"

"Oh yeah, I'm ready!" I smile.

She squirts on the gel and takes measurements before pointing and showing me what's a head and a foot. Still can't tell the gender but she said soon.

She printed me off pictures and told me to schedule another appointment next month.

I put the pics in my bag and head out to my truck. I decide to stop by the car lot and check on the truck I had ordered for Cam.

He's going to die. It's such a pretty blue color. When I walk in the salesman smiles. "Hi, Violet! It will be here next week."

"Oh good! That's what I came to ask."I said.

"I will call you when it arrives." He said.

I decided to head home and lay down because I'm tired and just want to sleep until Coop gets home.

Being on desk duty chief doesn't make me come in if I don't feel like it. Not only am I on desk duty but I get to interrogate perps they bring in.

I make it home and set the alarm before heading upstairs and putting my PJs on and get in bed.

I shoot a quick text to Coop telling him I was back home and going to nap.

Not sure how long I slept but when I woke up Coop was standing over me holding the baby's favorite right now. Mcdonald's french fries.

"Oh gosh, I'm starving." I laugh.

"I knew you would be hungry and want some fries." Coop said.

"Thank you! Ohh pics are in my bag the baby is getting so big." I said.

Coop gets them and looks at each one and his face lights up and he smiles. "I can't wait until you have a bump."

"I have a small one," I said lifting up my shirt.

Coop walks over and leans down and kisses my stomach. "We love you, baby."

"Are you excited to tell my family?" I said.

"They are going to be so excited." Coop said.

"I'm not sure how we tell them. Do you have any ideas, Coop?" I ask.

"Why don't we say something like we are getting a new partner in crime and when they ask who show them the sonogram." He said.

"Not a bad idea. I mean we can do something else for the gender." I said.

"Let's order some pizza." He said.

"Sounds good the baby is hungry." I snort.

"You just had fries!" He laughs.

"And your point is?" I laugh following him downstairs.

Coop orders pizza and I head to the deck. Just wanted to feel the warm air on my skin.

"V where did you go?" Coop hollers.

"I'm on the deck Coop," I yell.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked.

"Just getting some fresh air. Have you heard from Cam any?" I ask.

"Yeah he texted this morning and he's counting down the days until he comes back. Asked about his truck but I didn't know." He said.

"Can I have his number because after the baby appointment I went to the car lot and they said another week it would be here?" I said.

"Sure give me your phone I'll add his number so you can tell him. What are you going to do with the truck when you get it?" He asked.

"We will put it in the garage and keep it nice and clean for him," I said taking my phone back to text him.

📱Cam, it's V umm I checked on your truck today and it will be ready next week.

📱I'm good just counting down the days. How's the baby?

📱It's good. I went today had a new sonogram and plan to tell the family tomorrow evening over spaghetti dinner.

Coop walks back in with the pizza. "How is Cam?"

"He's good! He asked for a pic of lima bean." I laugh.

"Our baby is a lima bean huh? If it's a boy you want to name him after Cam?" Coop asks.

"I'm not sure about that but if a girl I have a name I think," I said.

"Are you going to tell me V?" He asked.

"No not unless it's a girl," I said grabbing a piece of pizza.

"Well, then I'll come up with names in my head like Cooplet or Vooper." He laughed.

"Oh jesus no!" I laugh as we sit and eat our pizza with a nice breeze blowing off of the water. "That breeze feels good," I said.

"Yeah, it does. Is our baby full now?" He laughs.

"For a few minutes maybe but I could use some chocolate." I giggle.
