We pulled up at her parent's house and there were multiple cars already there. We get out of her truck and Clint pulled up.

"Hey man!" I said.

"Clint I'm so glad you came! Who are these cuties?" V asked.

"This is Roddy and Gwen," Clint said.

"It's nice to meet you guys! Follow me I'll take you to the kids." V said.

We all walked up to the Reece family outside. V introduced everyone and Amelia and Alex grabbed Roddy and Gwen and took off to play in the sand.

"Hey, guys glad you came!" Levi said.

"We are glad to be here and we brought a fellow cop. This is Clint and well Roddy and Gwen went to play in the sand." I laugh.

Davis saw me and made his way over shaking my hand. "I'm glad to see you again Cooper." He smiled.

"It's great to see you too you Davis." I turn to Clint and tell him who this is.

We went around introducing Clint to everyone and Clint knew Gray so I left them to talk and I went to sit down beside V and she was giggling with Sierrah.

"Did you introduce Clint to everyone?" She asked.

"I did and he knows Gray." I laugh.

"Who doesn't my dad know." Sierrah laughs.

A lady came and sit down beside me that I didn't recognize. "Hi, I'm Diane! Davis's wife and I just wanted to thank you for spending time with him."

"Oh, it's my pleasure, Diane. I like spending time with him." I said.

"He told me you have family at the graveyard." She said.

"Yeah, that would be my sister and Violet she wanted to decorate graves," I said.

"She's a very sweet girl." Diane smiled before getting up and going over to where Jody was sitting.

Wyatt, Alex, and Roddy came running over asking me to play football with them so I did. Then V joined in and she tackled me to the ground hard.

"What's wrong can't believe you got tackled by a girl?" She said before the boys jumped on top of us.

"I can't breathe." I laughed as they all got off.

By the time we got back to where the table was, it was time to eat. "Did them kids wear you out?" Jay laughed.

"Yeah, I'm tired now." I laugh.

Levi comes and sits down beside me and Gray across from me with Clint. "So how's work going?" Levi asked.

"It's been busy and your daughter is a hero at the station," I smirked at V.

"Yeah yeah you take down a couple of drug dealers and a kingpin and your queen of the station." She laughed.

"That's my munchkin," Gray said

Avah and Remi walked over placing food on the table and both said Hi and Avah hugged me from behind.

I love this family and I know I want to be apart of it. I slip my hand under the table and squeeze Violets leg and she smiles over at me.

I want to kiss her so bad but I don't think it's appropriate.

"Damn munchkin Cooper is giving you those bedroom eyes." Gray laughs.

"Uncle Gray! You are so inappropriate!" Violet snorted which made me laugh.

"Let's eat y'all. The food is ready and then we will have cake and ice cream and of course cookies!" Remi laughed.

These people make so much food I need to run more or I'm going to be like officer Wiggins on the Simpsons.

V leaned over into my arm and looked up at me. "Are you stuffed? I know I am." She giggled.

"I don't think I could eat anything else." I laugh.

We sang happy birthday and I got all the boys a new football. Roddy included.

"That was nice to include Roddy," Clint said.

"It's no problem I know they don't have a lot of friends and we are hoping Amelia and Gwen will become good friends," I said.

I appreciate it, man. Look at the smiles on their faces." Clint said.

V smiled watching them and hooked her hand in my arm. I think she's telling her family that we are together and no one seems to mind.

When it was time to go Davis stopped us and asked us to come to his house for dinner tomorrow around 5.

Remi and Avah filled our arms full of food and Levi helped us get it to her truck.

He shook my hand and thanked me for coming and told me to take care of his little girl with a pat on the back.

We get in her truck and head back to her house. "Look at all this food! We have so much to eat over a couple of days." I laugh.

"They always fix so much food like they are feeding an army." She laughs.

We carry it all in and put it in the fridge. I set the alarm and follow her upstairs.

"So what do you want to do? Watch a movie? Play pool? Get in the hot tub?" She asked.

"It doesn't matter to me. Whatever you want to do." I said when my phone beeps.

📱Hey man! I'll be stateside next week. Can I still crash at your place?

📱Sure! But I'm crashing with Violet now so you can stay back at the apartment if you want.

"So that was Cam he's coming stateside next week. He was asking if he could still crash at my place." I said.

"He can stay here. You know how many bedrooms I have. It will be fun." V said.

"Are you sure V? I mean it will be for a week or longer," I said.

"If it gets too crazy he can go to your apartment." She laughs.

"As long as you are sure you don't mind I'll text him back and tell him," I said.

"Go ahead we will have fun." She smiled at me.
