I watch Violet walk over to her truck and basically jump up in it. Fuck that was hot. I follow her down the road and turn off at the apartment complex while she keeps going.

She's going to be a great partner but I really hope I can keep it professional. But I don't think she will keep her boundaries if it involves work.

I make it up to my apartment and open the door to find Jesse sitting at the table drinking coffee. "Want a cup?" He asked.

"I'm good I just had breakfast with my new partner," I said.

"Oh, how did that go? A nice guy?" He asked.

"No a girl. Well, I should say woman." I said.

"Is she cute?" Jesse grins.

"Fuck she's hot and let's say we already kissed." I laugh.

"What? That's not like you Coop." He said.

Well we were undercover and the guy we were watching came up to the window and she didn't want to blow our cover so she kissed me." I said.

"A peck?" He asked.

"No wasn't a peck but no tongue. I was shocked and she apologized and I took her to breakfast. She's very nice." I said.

"Would I know her?" He asked.

"Not sure about that but her dad owns Reece construction and her uncle is a firefighter," I said.

"Are you talking about Violet?" He smirked.

"How do you know her?" I ask.

"We went to high school together but that's badass she's a cop now." He said.

"Well I gotta get a shower and get in bed I gotta work again tonight," I said.

"Nite Coop." He laughed.

I take my belt off and lock up my gun in the box in the closet and strip down and get in the shower.

It's been a while since I have been with anyone and that kiss stirred me up. Once in the shower with the water over me, I jerk one out.

I get in bed and her face is the last one I see. I rub down my face and close my eyes and try to make myself fall asleep.

I toss and turn for thirty minutes before I finally doze off. When the alarm wakes me up at 9 I feel like I had no sleep.

I get up and put my uniform on and get my gun out of my locked box and head to the kitchen to grab a quick snack and head to work.

Jesse isn't here I guess he's over at his girlfriend's house. I look around one more time and then walk down to the car.

Right as I get in the car I see Violet go by in her big truck. I can't help but laugh but she's got a nicer truck than mine. I just don't drive it with having this car.

I pull up right behind her and she looks over and smiles when she sees me. "Hey Coop."

"Hey, Violet! Ready for a quiet night?" I laugh.

"Here's hoping." She said as I walk in behind her.

I head over to my desk and sit down a few minutes when the Chief asks to see us both.

I follow Violet into his office and I can't help but stare at her ass in those uniform pants. Damn, it looks great.

"Reece, Holgate how was last night?" Chief asked.

"We go over everything with him besides the kiss and he agrees it would be ok to go undercover but I need to take Clint and Jeremy with us so in case something goes wrong I have a backup.

"When do you want us to go and do that?" Violet asks.

"Let's wait until Friday night when it's busy. You know he will be there."

"Tonight he's supposed to meet someone on pier 24. I think we should surveillance that Chief." I said.

"I agree. You two head out and by the way, it's nice to see you both working well together." Chief smiled.

We head out to our desk and grab our jackets and head out to the charger.

"Do you have binoculars in this car?" She asked.

"I do," I said getting in the car.

"Good because we need to see what he's doing or getting." She said.

I drive us to pier 24 and see a couple of cars here but they are empty. I drive around like we were leaving and found a good parking spot and parked.

She picked up the binoculars and was quiet. "Oh, there he is talking to a guy holding a small box." She said handing them to me to have a look.

"Oh, I know that guy he's a dope dealer as well. I think his last name is Valentine." I said.

I look over and she's writing it down. "What I like to write things down." She said.

"Nothing I like that your thorough about things." I grinned.

We watched them walk away from each other and go separate ways and Jimmaze got in his car and drove off.

"Let's follow him Coop and see where he goes." She said.

"Alright. I'm sure it's some kind of warehouse or something." I said getting back on the road.

Sure enough, he takes us to a bunch of buildings that appear to be empty. We park the car under a tree with no lighting and watch as Jimmaze and a few men get out of the SUV and head inside.

"Well, we got a lot of info tonight Coop. We know who he's doing his deals with and now we know where he is most of the time." She said.

"Yeah, we did." I smile.

She reaches her hand up for a fist bump. "Badass duo." She laughs as we hit knuckles.

"I don't think we are going to get anything else here tonight. Let's head back to the station and get some paperwork done." I said

"Sounds like a plan." She yawns.

"Didn't get enough sleep in that big house?" I ask.

"Maybe not." She laughs.
