What I feel for you can't be conveyed in phrasal combinations; It either screams out loud or stays painfully silent but I promise - it beats words. It beats worlds.
~Katherine Mansfield

41.

Jeon Jungkook woke up the next day. Today was the day he had dreamed of. The one day he had been taught, he was born for. But the irony was when he was living the day, He wasn't Jeon Jungkook. He was Kim Jungkook.

Jeon Jungkook would have known that he would make a few mistakes along the way and learn. But Kim Jungkook couldn't. He couldn't afford any mistakes. Not only was he the owner of Jeon Entertainment now. But he was also the husband of the owner of Kim Taehyung. And no matter how much they loved each other or felt amongst themselves. From today, he would be judged not just for himself but as Kim Taehyung's husband too. Whether he liked it or not or if it was fair to the elder or him didn't matter. It would be done. The path ahead was tricky and slippery. Jungkook knew he only had a few he could trust completely. With great power came great responsibility, someone had said. But maybe they forgot to add the fact that power also brought enemies... People who would rejoice in his mistakes and would be secretly hoping that he made more. His decisions would not just impact his company but also might dictate the share market of Kim Industries.

So yes, Jeon Jungkook could mess up. But Kim Jungkook, the husband, the son-in-law of the Kim Mansion couldn't make mistakes.

Even though, Jungkook never cared for what he wore to office or how he looked because for him it was what was in his brain that mattered... He would have to change. Jungkook kissed his husband and pulled out a black suit that fit him smugly, highlighting his chest. His hair, face screaming power. Jungkook knew how to dress up that made people eating out of his hands and bending on their knees at his single gesture.

The morning went by in a rush. Tae encouraged the younger and hugged him before seeing him off. Kook had made sure that breakfast was in place for everyone before he left.

Jungkook had decided that he wouldn't be driving to his company. His car had finally come. He entrusted it to the family driver and his body guards follow him. Yes, Kook would need a security team now. He wasn't comfortable but he knew he needed it. It was all a part of a facade. A facade that would make the power shift easier for him. He had worked with these people. He knew they would take him lightly. No matter how he was at home, a softie by heart. In office Jungkook would be the boss people would shudder to look at of they make a mistake.

As soon as he reached and the car stopped, his personal bodyguard opened the door for him. He stepped out. He could see Jimin hyung's amazing work. He would thank him later. As soon as he stepped inside, the workers were shocked. The man they saw as so approachable till a month ago now oozed dominance. Something about his aura made people want to not look at him directly in the eyes. As people wished him morning, he curtly nodded and made his way to his office.

It was huge office overlooking Seoul's skyline. jimin hyung had somehow made it exactly how he would have liked it. His legal team came in and he signed the papers, officially making him the CEO. He had hoped to see Namjoon hyung at office today but the elder had an important meeting with one of the top music producers.

Jungkook had a new secretary now. A no bullshit young woman in her early thirties. She was married and Jungkook had to thank whoever chose her for him. He didn't want an unmarried women throwing at him.

'Good Morning Mr Kim.' Lina, his secretary said.

Something about the name didn't sit with Jungkook. Mr Kim... Rightfully the name was his Appa's or his husband's. But he couldn't ask her to call him. Mr Jeon... He wasn't that anymore. Ah!

'Let's go with Mr Jungkook, Lina shi.' Jungkook said, taking out the softness out of his voice.

'Of Course Mr Jungkook, You have a meeting with the producers about the debut of the new group in the second half. I have analysed their progress. Here are the files. Also, it is a personal opinion but I feel like they are not being fed properly. If you want, I can look into it.' Lina said.

'Hm... Yes, if you have any doubt that the trainees are not being well taken care. I give you the authority to dig as deep as you can. Maltreatment of trainees will not be taken lightly.' Junkook said, his voice emotionless.

'What else do we have on the agenda today?' Jungkook asked. Making a note on his laptop to check on the health of all trainees and idol groups.

'We have a meeting regarding acquiring new talent at 4. And the senior management would like to have a welcome meeting with you.' Lina said.

'I will join the meeting at 4. Regarding the Welcome meeting, cancel it. I will meet all the stakeholders when I deal with files department wise. Instead please make a note of gathering all the trainees and I will have a meeting today.
Please also arrange my meetings with the idols everyday from now. One idol a day can be fit into my schedule. And please ask them to send me all the files regarding trainees before the meeting.'
Kook said as he started going through the files Lina had given him.

Lina dismissed herself as she saw Jungkook busy. She already liked the way the young man was thinking of handling the company. Instead of having meetings with the management, he had straight set up a meeting with the actual resources.

For Jungkook, the day was going fast than he could imagine. He didn't get any time to check with Tae. As soon as he got out of a meeting with his producers about new debuts, he went to the conference hall where the trainees were sitting. Kook looked at them he had come here to motivate them but looking at them, he changed what he was going to say. He had gone through their files. Most of them were hard working kids. Some not from very rich families. They were 12 to 17. Jungkook looked at them and pitied them. They would never get to love a normal childhood just like he had never gotten one. He swore he would at least making it a bit better.

'Hello everyone, You probably know me. And if you don't. I am Kim Jungkook, the new CEO. I have gone through all your files and I must say I am very impressed.' Kook stopped and took a sip of water.

'All of you are working hard for your careers and for your company. I know life as a trainee can be hard. So, I will be sharing an email at the end of the meeting. If any of you feel like you are being mistreated, you can send an email even anonymously if you are scared. The team that will handle all the grievances will directly report to me and the management will have no say or access to it. I want to create a happy atmosphere for all of you here. If something bothers you, please feel free to email or any of you can simply knock on my office and no matter how busy I am I promise I will hear you out. Today, in celebration of me joining as a CEO, your managers will be taking you to a nice restaurant. Please forget your diets and work for tonight and enjoy. It's a gift from my side. Thank you. You are our future. I am very proud of each and everyone of you.' Jungkook said and as the applause died down he left.

He called in the top most management immediately after the meeting. As soon as everyone seated, they were shocked to see this side of Kim Jungkook.

'Lina,' Kook said calling his secretary, 'Call the legal team.' She ran to her phone and as the top management twitched in their seat trying to avoid the angry red eyes of the young man, the elgal team came running.

As soon as they entered, he said, 'Open an enquiry on who is responsible for the malnutrition of the trainees. I looked at them today and most of them were under weight. I want a list of names who forced the kids to diet so strictly. As soon as you find evidence, write their termination letters and get them black listed from the entertainment industry. You will directly report to me about this investigation and if I hear of any information leaking from your team, You will be the one whose termination and black list letters I will be signing. Have I made myself very clear?' Kook thunders in the meeting room.

'Good, you may leave.'

As they left, he turned to the people sitting in the room. 'Things are about to change. And whoever doesn't like it may leave now. The trainees will no longer be forced to diet. A nutritionist and Psychiatrist will be always present on the premises. If a trainee is not willing to go on a diet, they will not be forced. The entire idea is to allow people to accept themselves as who they are rather than what others want them to.'

'But Mr Jungkook' interrupted a senior producer, 'if they don't look a certain way, people might not like them and say things about them.' he concluded. Kook knew he had a point.

'I accept that. But do people not leave bad comments on posts by the most good looking idols out there. I know people in the starting will not like our idols and groups. So, Jeon entertainment will be teaming up with schools. Our industry experienced choreographers and producers going in for a free lecture once a month in schools around Seoul. Which means every week, one person from our company will offer their services at a lost of selected schools...teaching and polishing talent. But more than that, teaching self acceptance. Today's audience might not like us. But we will make an audience that will be loyal to us five years down the lane because they would have seen us and worked with us. Soon, our idols of all genders, sexualities, body shapes will find acceptance in society. In the meantime, we need a consistently revenue resource. I am sure all of you accomplished people will come up with something.' Kook ended with a smirk. He knew he had not left them with a lot of choice.

He could see from the faces, some people would leave. He didn't mind. People who didn't agree with his vision of the company were free to leave. He was sure, he would find people that aligned with his goals.

As he left the office, he saw the skyline turn dark. He stared at it from his car window. He was so exhausted. Mentally and physically.

All he needed was a certain set of arms to hold on to and take a deep breath. He needed Tae. It had been a very long day.
