People always fall in love with the most perfect aspects of each other’s personalities. Who wouldn’t? Anybody can love the most wonderful parts of another person. But that’s not the clever trick. The really clever trick is this: Can you accept the flaws? Can you look at your partner’s faults honestly and say, ‘I can work around that. I can make something out of it.’? Because the good stuff is always going to be there, and it’s always going to pretty and sparkly, but the crap underneath can ruin you.

'Sir, here are the resignations of some of the management and board members.' Lina said as soon as Jungkook entered the office.

'What?' Kook said baffled.

He saw the resignations, one by one. All the members who had disturbed him, disagreed with him, made his life hell had all resigned on the same day at the same time.

'Lina do you know why they resigned?' Kook said. Still not able to believe what was happening.

'No sir. All of them said personal reasons but it doesn't take genius to figure our that they must have been blackmailed. Becuase they are all bark no bite people. There is no way they are actually planning something against the company especially given that you are Mr Kim's husband. They wouldn't dare rage him.'

Kook nodded. Something about what Lina said made  sense to Kook. They would not resign all together. Unless they were blackmailed. But who would blackmail them to resign. It only made his life easier.

'Taehyung' Jungkook's heart thrummed and he didn't want to believe what he was thinking.

He went out grabbing his car keys. Surely, Tae wouldn't interfere in his company. He had promised that he wouldn't do anything without discussing.

Kook hoped to God he was wrong because if he wasn't that meant Tae broke his promise. Tae took action without informing him because maybe somehow he felt kook wasn't capable of running the company. The last thought hurt kook more than he had anticipated. It almost made him want to cry and howl in rage at the same time.

He pressed his feet on the race, the speedometer going crazy. He would surely get a speeding ticket. Worse still, if media caught the news, he would be dragged to death. But it didn't matter. All kook could think about was Tae... In his heart, he knew Tae was the only person capable of making this happen. But he didn't want to accuse the elder before giving him a chance. Maybe it wasn't Tae. Maybe it was his father. Sure, he had weird ways of showing love. Yes, it could be him. Kook almost felt ligh headed. He could get angry at his dad.

God I hope Tae hasn't done this.

As soon as he entered his home, he beelined for the library. Ignoring the shocked face of his eomma who hadn't expected him to come so soon.

'Hyung' Kook said as soon as he opened the door.

'Hobi hyung. Why don't we talk later?' Tae said.

'Hyung, this morning hald.of my board members and top management resigned. It wasn't your doing, right?' Kook said stepping close to Tae.

Tae came closer. Kook was afraid by the expressions that Tae had. Almost like he had been caught telling a lie.

Kook grew more agitated.

'Hyung tell me.you didn't do this.' Kook shouted. This was the first time he was shouting. This was the first time they were having a fight.

'I am sorry baby. I can explain' Tae said sheepishly. He couldn't find the words to comfort Kook.

'You did it.' Kook said almost unbelievably. He steeped back and kept looking at Tae as if he had betrayed him

'It's not like that Kook. They were creating trouble. You had so much work. You could barely stand yesterday.' Tae tried explaining.

Kook was crying by now. He had tears running down his face. He couldn't believe his husband was the one who had betrayed his trust. But all his disappointment turned into anger when he heard Tae's words.

'Hyung, there are days you are tired. Do I go on and interfere in your company?' Kook shouted again.

'It's not like tha-' Tae tried defending.

'Then what hyung? What? You don't trust me to run my own company? Out of all the people I thought I would have to prove myself, I didn't consider you to be one fo them hyung.' Kook couldn't shout anymore. His tears were already like streams of a howling sea.

Kook loosened his Tie.

'No you misunderstand me.' Tae tried saying as he went close to Jungkook to wipe his tears.

But Kook jerked himself away from Tae.

'I thought you were different hyung. You are just like everyone else. Actually, you know what worse than dad too. At least he openly tells me that he has no faith in me. You made me believe that I had you and that I could do it. I was such a fool. I trusted your promise.' Till this time Kook was sad now anger overpowered him as he said the next words.

'You broke the promise you made me.om our honeymoon. Do you even love me or was that too a lie?' Kook shouted. His eyes blood shot. His face twisted in rage.

Tae felt liek someone had thrown cold water over hsi face.

'How can you say something like that Kook?' Tae whispered.

'You tell me. You are the one who is going around breaking promises.' kook said and left from there. He made his way to his car and started driving around. He went to the highway. He could speed and there would be less traffic. He kept crying. Often, his vision getting blurred by his tears. Twice he had to pull in the brakes harshly to stop bumping into a car in front of him.

This is stupid, he thought. His eyes fell on a drinking place. It wasn't a cafe neither a club. But he knew it would have alcohol. He stopped his car and picked up his phone to go inside. He felt his phone buzz. It was Tae. He saw the notifications. 50 miss calls. Kook switched off his phone as it rang another time and threw it in the dustbin nearby. He wanted nothing to do with anyone right now.

He entered. It was not a very comfortable place. But it would do.

A woman in skimpy clothes came around to take his order. 'What can I get for you handsome?' she asked flirtatiously.

Kook was already irritated. He lifted up his ring finger for her to see, 'Sorry, I am married. But can you get me your strongest drink.' Kook said turning his eyes from her. He needed alcohol to stop his brain from bursting with so many voices inside him. Even after all this, his heart kept repeating that Tae did what he did because he was worried about him. And Kook so badly wanted to bang his head against the wall so that that voice would shut up.

To his luck, his drink was served by another waitress. He chugged it within a second.

'Get me fried chicken and fries and keep these coming.' He said. He took out money from his wallet and glided it across the table, 'I will you again when I going. Just don't speak anything when you come and get me another drink before the one on my hand finishes.

The waitress nodded recognising the desperation and sadness on his voice.

Kook kept drinking. The more he drank, the fainter the noises grew. The previous waitress was serving the table near him

While she was passing, 'You know there are more ways to forget things handsome.' as she bent down giving him a good view of her cleavage.

'I swing the other way lady.' Kook huffed.

'Ohh, never mind then' The waitress left and suddenly kook wanted to laugh out so loud. So he did. Here he was... In a low key bar, with women throwing themself at him and he not even looking at them because he was married and his dear husband.. who didn't even believe in him. Fuck it. Kook said as he downed another drink. It was already two hours. His anger was gone. It was replaced by sadness. He loved Tae. He wanted Tae to believe in him.

He asked for another round of drinks. How could I dream of happiness with my luck, he though almost scoffing at himself. The past memories of previous relationship overtaking his mind. Why was ot so hard for people to believe in him? He literally downed three more drinks back to back. By this time, even his waitress was worried for him.

He went to the washroom. After doing his business, he went to the washbasin and washed his face. He looked at in the mirror. His face seemed to be mocking him, 'I thought I could have someone who would trust in me.' and he laughed. He didn't know if it was the water from washing his face or tears. But his face was wet. He slid down the dirty bathroom door and cried. For the first time in a while, Kook cried. He cried for his lost relationship, he cried at how he fell in love with Tae, how Tae broke his promise, how Tae didn't believe in him.

Ugh! Tae tae tae. Why can't I forget even after drinking so much. He wiped off his face after getting up and asked for more drinks.

'Sir, I don't think you should have more.' The waitress said worriedly.

'Do you want me to go somewhere else. You will be the one losing business.' Kook said haughtily. Not in a mood to listen to anyone.

Soon, the drinks were in front of him again. Kook drank some more. He drank till his stomach sloshed with liquid as of it was water. He would get sick tomorrow for sure. But he didn't care about tomorrow anymore.

Things were getting blurred. He wanted to lie down so bad. But kook didn't want to go home. He didn't want to see Tae. He got up. He took a bottle of whiskey and paid. Staggering, he made his way to the car.

He didn't remember the way back to the city and he didn't have any gps. His phone was long gone.

He locked all the doors of the car and went to the back seat to sleep. He took his bottle of whiskey and with great difficulty made himself sit up. He took a swig. By this team, kook didn't know who he was. Too drunk. He hadn't ever drank so much. He felt someone tapping the window. 'What?' Kook said... Angry at being disturbed.

'Oh you look just like my husband.'  Koo laughed.

He couldn't hear what the other person was saying. He pushed the window glass down.

As soon as he did, the other person touched his face, 'Hey hey mr. I am married. Go away.. you look like my husband but you are not him. He doesn't know I am here.'

Soon Kook's head touched the seat as he lost his balance. As soon as his head touched the seat, he passed out.

The man on the other side couldn't help but feel guilty.
