A/N: ayyo ladies and gentlemen!!

its a slightly emotionally heavy chapter

~~~~~
"It's okay Tae. I understand why you don't want me as your caregiver anymore."
Jungkook said a tear rolling down his face.
Taehyung looked up from his hands, confused.
What did Jungkook mean by that?
Did he not want to to be TaeTae's caretaker?
Shock filled his body, his throat constricting his breath, choking him up with emotions and words.
He shouldn't have gotten attached to Jungkook.
He knew it was too good to be true.
It was all because of his own stupidity that he made himself vulnerable and let his guard down completely in front of the older.
He made the mistake of trusting Jungkook, for letting him into his heart.
It was his fault for even thinking that he would ever be loved by someone.
It was his fault for letting himself fall for the older. For his bunny smile, his big Bambi eyes, his big muscles, his softness hidden behind the cold exterior.
It was his fault for finding his home in Jungkook.
And now he would have to fix his broken heart on his own.
How was he going to deal with it?
How would he make it out of this especially when he was living under the same roof as him?
Wait Jungkook wouldn't throw him out right?
If he did then he was screwed.
He would basically be homeless because his mother had disowned him and since Namjoon hyung was the CEO of the Kim industries now, he wouldn't be able to let him stay with them also. It would be seen as treason and that would cause him his position, something that he had worked his ass off to reach there.
No Taehyung couldn't do that to Namjoon and Jin hyung.
But then he had no where to go.
He had no other friends that would help him either.
And if he ended up homeless, t-then T-Taetae was going to have a torturous time.
He couldn't be on the streets if he was in littlespace.
W-what was he going to do now.
He was in a full blown panic mode now, barely able to breath, tears streaming down his face.
He felt so helpless, so broken.
He was lost.
There was no way to get out of this, he was stuck in the downward spiral that was pulling him down.
He needed to slip now, but no he couldn't, wouldn't slip in front of Jungkook ever again.
No he couldn't even deal with that.
He didn't even want to think of the bunny faced boy.
That would only make him hurt even more.
He needed to get out of here.
He needed to get away from all the problems, emotions and thoughts.
He was growing less and less aware of everything around him.
His breath was getting tighter and more constricted by the second and he was no longer in control of his muscles.
Tears were streaming down his face rapidly and he could no longer see, his eyes blurred by the tears. He was gasping for breath, his lungs burning.
He couldn't even physically move now but he needed to get out of here and slip.
He was losing awareness of the world around him, forgetting about Jungkook's presence in the room, forgetting his thoughts, his pain.
All he could feel was the panic coursing through every vein in his body and the fact that he needed to slip before something worse happened.
He couldn't deal with this anymore.
He was tired.
He was done.
Suddenly he felt someone's hand cup his face and say loudly, frantically,
"T-Tae baby, o-open your eyes. L-look at m-me."
Taehyung couldn't recognize who's voice it was. But it was a familiar one.
It was a voice that was soothing and calming even though the person seemed to be frantic and scared.
The voice reminded him of home.
The voice was coming from somewhere close to his ear, a hand stroking his hair, another wiping the endless flow of tears streaming down his cheeks.
He was slowly pulled onto someone's lap and they were humming something softly in his ears, rocking his trembling body.
"it's okay Tae, breathe, I'm not going anywhere. You're all right."
The whispered reassurances and the soft rocking slowly helped him to calm down enough to breath better.
But the panic was still stuck in his throat and his eyes still shut close.
He wasn't ready to open them and face the world. For now he just wanted the world to fade away. He wanted stay safe and sound in his warm cocoon that happened to be in the arms of the person currently holding him.
"B-baby do you want to slip?"
The same voice asked again, fingers still carding through his hair.
Taehyung hummed in agreement, making barely legible sounds.
But it was enough for Jungkook to understand.
He didn't know what exactly went wrong and why the younger panicked but that wasn't his priority at that minute.
He needed to calm the shaking boy in his arms as soon as possible.
As it is it had taken him a couple of minutes to even realize that the younger was panicking, because he hadn't had the courage to look up at him.
He thought that Taehyung didn't want him to be his caregiver anymore.
But seeing him in that panicky shake had sent him on autopilot.
His natural instincts had kicked in and his priority was to calm the younger down and if he wanted to slip, then help him ease into his headspace.
They could have their talk later.
So Jungkook whispered reassurances to the shaking boy curled up on his lap, softly rocking him in his arms.
When his breathing eased up, Jungkook asked him if he wanted to slip, knowing that the younger was probably fighting it off just as he used to earlier.
But that wasn't good for his mental health so making him slip was important.
So Jungkook lifted the boy up with ease, standing up and walked up to the bed, laying him down softly on it.
Just as he detached himself from the younger to get his favorite plushy and pacifier along with a bottle of milk, he felt something holding him back.
It was Taehyung's hand clutching on to the cuff of his shirt.
His eyes were still shut close, body still shaking slightly with an occasional tear slipping out of his eyes.
"D-Dont l-leave T-taetae."
He mumbled in a broken voice, exhausted.
But the broken tone sent chills to the bottom of his spine.
Taehyung sounded so broken, so tired.
Jungkook knelt on the edge of the bed, one hand caressing the younger's face, the other supporting his weight above Taehyung.
"Don't worry baby. I'll be back in a minute. I'm going to get TaTa."
The younger pouted as he stuttered, still not opening his eyes.
"Dada b-be b-back s-swoon?"
Jungkook swore he did not melt on the spot but he leaned forward to place a soft kiss on the younger's temple.
"I'll always come back to you Tae, no matter where I go."
~~~~~

overthinking does shit to your brain.

sorry for not putting trigger warnings but personally i think they spoil the suspense of the story and also since it was nothing to intense, i avoided it.

i hope everyone likes it :)
