“Tonight is the full moon, we should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse.” Elijah tells us, causing my heart drop 10 feet. I don’t know if I’m ready to die tonight…

“Elena told me that the Sun and Moon Curse is a fake and it’s really just a curse placed on Klaus?” Stefan frowns, verifying his information.

“Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf side from manifesting, but if he breaks it, he’ll be a true hybrid.” Elijah states.

“Then why are we letting him break the curse? We could kill him today, with Bonnie.” Damon insists, walking into the room. Seeing him once again breaks my heart.

“No, Bonnie can’t use that much power without dying.” Elena argues.

“I’ll write her a great eulogy.” Damon sighs, throwing his hands up.

“It’s not an option Damon.” Elena glares, while Damon glares back at her. At least I know he still wants to save me.

“Alright, how do we break this curse?” Stefan asks, changing the subject.

“The ritual is a little more complicated because of Arianna. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know.” Elijah answers.

“The moonstone.” I say.

“A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that is bound within the stone. After that, with Klaus being both vampire and werewolf he will sacrifice one of each.” Elijah explains, since when does he need a vampire and werewolf? Maybe he will sacrifice Katherine?

“So where do Aria and I fit in?” Elena questions, causing me to close my eyes. He’s going to tell them how I have to be sacrificed. So not good for me.

“First, Klaus will drink your blood, Elena, to the point of your death. Do you wish for me to tell them Aria?” Elijah asks, looking over at me.

“Tell us what?” Damon demands. I open my eyes, giving Elijah a nod of my head. They have a right to know.

“Aria is a rare occurrence, there was predicted to be only two dopplegangers once. Aria’s blood has power in it, that will gain Klaus strength and abilities. But to get her power, he has to stab her in the heart with an enchanted dagger. The dagger will drain the power from her blood so to speak. Then Klaus will stab himself with the dagger, taking her power.” Elijah explains, causing everyones eyes to snap towards me. Great…

“That’s where you come in though.” I smile.

Elijah nods, “This is an elixir I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It posses mystical properties of life, so to speech.”

“So Aria and I will be dead, then we won’t?” Elena asks. Not really, I will have to stay dead.

Elijah nods, but he shoots a look at me. I look away from him, not wanting to be reminded of my fate. I certainly don’t want his sympathy.

“So that’s your guys plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?” Damon questions, ‘If you two want to come back to life, what about John and Jeremy’s rings?”

“Those rings only work on humans, dopplegangers are a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the rings won’t work.” Elijah responds. That gives me better odds than I have.

“Well, I’ll take those odds over some magical elixir.” Damon glares, before his look softens for the first time and he looks over at me. “What if it doesn’t work Aria?” he whispers. It won’t work, not on me at least.

“Then I’ll just be dead.” I answer, my voice staying strong. Damon makes a noise of disbelief, shaking his head. Before he could say anything he regrets, he leaves the room. I blink a few times to try and keep the tears from my eyes.

“Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs for tonight? Does he have a werewolf?” Elena thankfully changes the subject.

“Klaus has been waiting for this for over a thousand years, my guess is, if he doesn’t already have a werewolf. He will have one by tonight.” Elijah smirks.

Great…shit is going to get real tonight.

—————————————————————-

I lean against a tree, happy to be out in the fresh air. I just want to be alone right now. You’d think I wouldn’t want to be, but…it’s easier than lying to everyone in there. Especially Damon.

“Well, look what we have here.” an odd British voice says from like nowhere. I know it’s not Elijah… so there’s unfortunately only one person it can be.

I turn around slowly, eyeing the very good looking man in front of me, “Klaus?”

“I look much more dashing now, don’t I love?” he smirks, gesturing to his real body. Uh…love? Is that some weird British thing or something?

“No, you don’t. You aren’t capable of looking dashing Klaus.” I glare.

“Ouch, that hurts.” he laughs.

“What do you want? You don’t get to kill me till later tonight.” I put my hand on my hip, trying not to look scared. Surprisingly, I’m not scared though. I know he’s an evil monster but he doesn’t look like it. Or act like it.

“I heard about my brother’s plans to save one of you. I’m not particularly fond of them. I need you both to…die.” he shrugs, “So I need you to destroy that elixir for me, Arianna.” Ugh, seriously? Arianna?

“Yeah…let me think about that…no.” I respond.

“Love, you aren’t wearing vervain right now, and I know you don’t drink it.” he smirks once again, appearing in front of me. I try to get away from him but he grabs my hair, making me look at him. “I need you to destroy the elixir, then forget you ever met me and you destroyed the elixir. You don’t know what happened to the elixir. Understood?”  I nod my head, not really in control of myself.

I blink a few times, looking around the woods confused. Weird, I just like spaced for a few minutes. I feel like there is something I need to do. Without really controlling myself, I walk back to the Salvatore house and into the library room where I know the elixir is.

Thankfully no one is in here, it sounds like they are all in the living room. I swear that sounds like Alaric in there…

I walk over to the elixir, picking it up in my hands. I take the cap off the bottle, before pouring all of it into the fire. I open the window closet to me, throwing the bottle as far as I can. I wince as I hear it shatter, hopefully they are all too busy talking in there to hear it.

I close the window, before leaving the room. Once I get out into the hallway, my mind just goes blank again. What the hell? I don’t remember even walking inside here? How…? Oh well, I guess the thought of death makes you go cray cray. I sure as hell am.

“What are you doing out here Aria?” Elena frowns, walking down the hallway.

“I honestly don’t know, thinking, I guess.” I sigh.

“If it’s about tonight, don’t. We will be fine.” Elena smiles, not knowing she is wrong. She will be fine, not me. The elixir can only save one.

I shrug, “You never know what can happen Lena.”

Elena sets her hand on my shoulder, “You and Damon need to make up Aria. If the elixir doesn’t work, do you really want to end thing fighting? Damon loves you, and you love him. Stop making everything so complicated.”

I smile slightly, “Coming from you?”

Elena rolls her eyes, “Yes, coming from disapproving me.”

“Alright, is Alaric okay though?” I ask, feeling terrible I didn’t ask before.

“Yeah, just confused. He doesn’t remember anything.” Elena responds. “Now go talk to that angry, vampire upstairs.” Elena pushes me, towards the stairs.

“Okay, okay.” I laugh, shaking my head. I can’t believe Elena is telling me to go up and fix things with Damon. You know things are serious if she is asking that. I thought she would be happy that we were on the outs.

I knock lightly on his door, even though it is open. “You are missing the party downstairs.” I joke.

“I don’t want to hear anymore about my girlfriend dying.” Damon answers, looking out of his window. He can’t even look at me right now I guess.

“I know this is hard for you Damon.” I whisper.

“No you don’t, I’m dying inside Aria!” he spins around, fury in his eyes. “How would you feel if you knew I was going to die tonight?! How would you feel if you didn’t know if I would come back or not?!” Damon demands.

“I would feel how I do right now! Shitty and guilty. You think this is so easy for me? I’m scared Damon, I don’t want to be stabbed in the heart.” I say, my voice cracking at the end. “I-I can’t keep lying to you.” I whisper.

“Lying about what?” he frowns, taking a few steps closer to me.

“I’m not going to be coming back tonight, Damon. The elixir can only work on one, and it’s going to be Elena.” I state, not able to look him in the eyes.

“You weren’t going to tell me this? You were just going to die instead?!” he demands, disbelief evident in his tone.

“Yes.” I answer truthfully. Lying to him was too hard. I couldn’t keep this stupid lie going any longer.

“That’s not going to happen Aria, you are not going to die.” he promises, biting into his wrist. Oh God, what is he doing?

“Damon, no!” I scream but it’s too late. He shoves his wrist into my mouth and the blood goes down my throat choking me. I struggle against him but he continues to hold his wrist up to my mouth. This is not happening.

Suddenly Stefan appears shoving him away from me. Elena runs over to me, wrapping her arms around me. I sit there shaking, not believing what Damon just did.

“What did you do Damon?!” Elena yells, glaring at him.

“I saved her life, now I know she’ll come back.” Damon exclaims, looking at me. Not one drop of remorse in his eyes. How could he do this to me?

“As a vampire, she’ll come back as a vampire!” Stefan defends, looking at Damon murderously. “How could you of all people take that choice away from her!?” Stefan demands.

Damon looks down at me, “Go ahead, wish me an eternity of misery Aria. Break up with me. Trust me, you will get over it.”

I stand up, pushing away from Elena. I walk over to Damon, standing right in front of him. “I’m not going to wish you an eternity of misery, Damon. I wish you an eternity of loneliness. With no one or nothing. Now get the hell out of my sight.” I command but Damon just looks at me, guilt starting to take over his features. “Get out!” I scream, when he just continues to stand there. He speeds out of the room, gone in the blink of an eye.

I wrap my arms around myself, sobs racking my body. Elena starts to walk over to comfort me but I push her away, “Everyone just get out! Just leave me alone!” I sob, falling to my knees. Elena looks conflicted but her and Stefan eventually leave the room.

Now no one can save me. I am going to die, and I’m going to come back…as a vampire.

—————————————————————-

I look at the Salvatore boarding house, admiring how beautiful it is. The inside is nice but the outside is amazing. I’ve never really stopped to look at it, I’ve never cared. But I am going to die in a few hours, so might as well notice it now.

“Are you ready to go love?” a British voice asks, who I am assuming is Klaus. There are not very many British people other than Elijah in Mystic Falls. Plus something about that voice seems so familiar…

“What if I said no?” I ask, even though defeat is evident in my voice.

“No epic goodbye to your mate? Your sister had a touching one.” Klaus smirks.

“No…he’s not here.” I whisper, kind of wishing Damon was here. If I do, for some reason, stay dead tonight, that’s what Damon will remember me saying.

Klaus holds out his hand, “Then let’s get on our way.”

I take a deep breath, staring at his hand. I reach out, putting my hand in his. He smirks at me once, before everything goes dark.

————————————————————-

I sit up, taking in the scene around me. There is fire everywhere and some kind of pedestal in the middle. It has some kind of bowl on it, I think. I groan, my head killing me. Klaus knocked me out. What a meanie.

I look to my right and notice a body. What the hell? I crawl over to it, gently rolling them over. “Jenna?” I whisper, stunned. “No, no, no.” I cry, checking her neck for a pulse. There isn’t one. She’s dead.

I jump away from her body, shaking my head. Jenna can not be dead. She can’t be. I hear footsteps running over towards me and see Elena sprinting towards us. She runs right over to Jenna, checking her pulse. “She’s dead, Elena. Klaus killed her.” I say, hatred seeping into my tone. Right as I say that, Jenna gasps bolting up. What the…? She was dead, I checked her pulse. That only means one thing…

“She’s not dead, she’s in transition.” Klaus’ witch states, standing far away from us and the flames. Bitch.

Wait…wait! Oh God, no.

Jenna is the vampire he is going to sacrifice.

Hey guys, short chapter I know, but the next chapter is the sacrifice. I am super excited to type it. And I know I changed a lot but I had to so I could fit Aria into it. Hope none of you were disappointed.

So I have some news, season 2 is almost over, so originally I thought I was going to make a sequel but I decided that I’m going to write it in this book. Better to just keep everything together :)

If you guys don’t like this idea, I could always put it in a different book. Whatever you guys want, so let me know your guys opinion. Also how you’ve liked the book so far.

Keep voting and commenting :)

P.S. Did anyone see that Defan moment on the last episode. I cried so much :(
