I walk into the Grill and look for Tyler. He called me earlier saying he needed me to come down to the Grill. I saw Tyler seated at a booth drinking what I hope was water.

"Hey Ty, what's up?" I ask walking over to him. He gestures for me to sit and I sit cautiously. "What's wrong Tyler?" I repeat.

"I know were best friends but I like you more than that." he states still looking at the table. Oh God, where is this going? I hope it's not going where I think it is.

"Tyler....." I start to say but he cuts me off.

"Aria, hear me out." he interupts, finally looking at me.

"Tyler, you have a girlfriend. Remember her?" I question, glaring at him slightly. How can he just ditch Vicki?

"She never was my girlfriend. Just a distraction, a filler. I have always been waiting for you." he pauses. "You are beautiful and have an amazing personality. Even if you are a smartass at times. But you have always been friends with me, even though I'm a dick to your little brother. People may think Elena is the good hearted, innocent girl but you have a bigger heart than anyone I have ever known." I stare at Tyler shocked. Do I like him like that? Before I know what I am doing, I'm leaning against the table, kissing him. He kisses back passionately but I pull away.

"Not here." I smile. He stands up and takes my hand dragging me to the bathroom. I roll my eyes, this so like Tyler. He opens the door, locking it behind him. He smiles at me before bringing his lips down to mine. He puts his hands on my waist and I put my hands on his chest. Tyler was about to take my shirt off but I pushed him away. "Tyler, not in a bathroom. Wait until we at least go on our first official date." I laugh.

He gives me a light peck on the lips, grinning. "Of course." I smirk and unlock the door leaving. I smile to myself, I officially have a boyfriend. I pull out my phone and send Caroline a text.

I'm not single anymore.

I open the door to the Grill, stepping outside. I shiver a little as the cold air hits me. "Cold?" asks a voice from behind me. I spin around, smirking at who I see.

"Look what the cat dragged in." I grin, "Damon Salvatore."

"The one and only." he teases, casuing me to roll my eyes. I turn around, and start to head in the direction of my house. It's way too cold to stand out here and talk. Even if it is Damon Salvatore I'm talking too.

"So...your dating the mayors kid?." Damon questions, falling into step beside me. I look over at him, giving him a werid look. Tyler's Dad is Mayor Lockwood, FYI, he's an ass.

"How did you know? It literally just happened five minutes ago...."

"I saw you two walk into the bathroom and then you walked out smirking."

"Stalk much?" I deamnd, casuing Damon to laugh.

"I don't stalk, I observe, Aria." he argues.

"There is no difference, Day." I answer, giving him a small smile.

"Day?" he asks, arching his eyebrows.

"Yup, I like creating unwanted nicknames. It's super fun, especially if it annoys the person." I smile as he rolls his eyes.

"Alright, Ari." he smirks. And for some reason, I blush at the nickname. God damn it! Why does he effect me so much? He shouldn't.

"I like it." I smile turning towards him. He stops and his eyes roam over me. He reaches up and tucks a piece of hair away from my eye. I try not to shiver under his touch, it makes me feel so...warm.

"Have a good night, Ari." he smiles then walks away. I look up and see my house in front of me. How did we get here? I frown, shakeing my head and walk slowly up to the front door. I look back and see no trace of Damon.

I know I'm with Tyler now but a big part of me wants Damon Salvatore.

"Hi, night of the comet. Would you like a program?" Bonnie asks in a perky voice. I roll my eyes, we got stuck passing out programs for the stupid comet tonight. I mean, seriously, who needs a program for a freaking rock flying through the sky?! If you don't understand that, then you have some serious freaking problems.

"You didn't call him, did you Lena?" I question, referring to Stefan.

"Or text, then I realized we never even exchanged that stuff. We never got to the texting part." Elena shrugs.

"That's an important milestone in any relationship." Bonnie points out.

"Isn't it?" Elena smiles, handing a dude a program. "The timing was wrong anyway." Elena sighs, acting like she doesn't care about it.

"When is it ever right?" I demand.

"I'm not ready Aria." Elena frowns.

"Who is?" Bonnie questions.

"At least I put myself out there." Elena glares, talking to Bonnie. I told her about Tyler last night. She wasn't very happy because she knows Ty is a player. I decided not to tell Jer. I don't think he would be too happy about the fact I'm dating the dude he heates.

"Is that what your calling it?" Bonnie fires back, not giving up.

"What do you mean?" Elena asks, looking down on the ground.

"All we're hearing is reasons why you can't." Bonnie points out. Elena hesitates, knowing it's true. My phone buzzes causing them to look at me. I pull my phone out and see a text from Tyler.

Meet me at the Grill, time for our first official date.

-Tyler

I look up at my sister, smirking. "Time to go put myself out there." Bonnie looks confused but Elena just rolls her eyes. I give them both a small wave, before jogging towards the Grill.

-----------------

"Beat you again!" Tyler says smirking. I sigh and put my pool stick down.

"Thats it. I give up, your the champion." I say.

"What do I win?" he questions. I smirk and lean in kissing him. He puts his hands around my waist. I'm about to wrap my arms around him but suddenly I'm pulled off him and throw to the side. I gasp as I hit my head against the wall, for a second I see black spots.

"Aria!" Tyler yells worried but Jeremy steps in front of him blocking him.

"Stay away from my sister." Jer says threateningly. He doesn't even bother to look back and see if I am okay.

"Dude, she's hurt." Tyler says pissed off.

"You ditched me that easily!" Vicki yells walking up to us. I am starting to get worried because I see like 5 Vicki's.

"I never even liked you, I was just using you." Tyler says shrugging. Vicki yells then slaps Tyler across the face. She glares at him for a moment before storming off. Jeremy is about to punch Tyler but Damon steps between them catching Jer's fist.

"Now, now boys." Damon says teasing them. "Both of you step outside, get some air." Damon suggest but it's more like a command.

"I'm not leaving, Aria is hurt." Tyler says trying to push his way towards me. Damon looks over at me, and a worried expression takes over his face.

"Go outside, I'll take care of her." Damon says looking into Tyler's eyes. As if in a daze, Tyler nods and heads out. "You too, little Gilbert." Damon says looking into Jer's eyes. Jeremy nods but before he gets far Damon punches him in the face. "That's for hurting your sister." Damon growls then walks over to me.

"You punched my brother in the face." I whisper as Damon helps me stand up.

"Yes, yes I did." he smiles as he leads me over to a stool in the bar. I almost collapse on the way there but he catches me easily. "Careful there." he warns. He sits me down on the stool and sits down next to me. I can't help it, I rest my head on his shoulder. He orders a glass of water and a bourbon. The bartender nods and goes to grab the drinks.

He comes back a few seconds later with the drinks. I must be really out of it because I see Damon bite into his wrist and put it above the drink, letting his blood mix into the water. He hands me the cup and urges me to drink. I shake me head and lean up, trying not to pass out.

"No, you put your blood in it." I says shakily. He rolls his eyes.

"Drink it." he says looking into my eyes. I don't want to but for some reason I take the glass and drink all of it. I hand him the drink back, coughing but my head feels better. I start to get up but he grabs my arm, forcing me to sit back down. "Forget I put my blood in the water, forget I forced you to drink it. You came and sat down with me because you were dizzy. After a few minutes your headache went away." Damon says staring me straight in the eye. I nod and suddenly my mind goes blank. I shut my eyes for a moment and then open them.

"Thanks for sitting with me, Day but I need to get back out." I say.

"See ya, Ari." he says drowning his drink. I roll my eyes and punch his shoulder lightly on the way out. Before I walk out the door, I turn back around and look at Damon. I smile and then walk out to find my sister. I'm a few steps away when Damon suddenly appears in front of me. I gasp, how did he get out here so quick? I try to back away but he grabs my arms.

"Go home and get some rest, forget you saw me after you left the Grill. If anybody asks tell them you weren't feeling so hot so you went home." Damon says. I nod and blink my eyes. I open them and look around. I was going to go find Elena but I'm not feeling very well. I should probably go home and get some rest. I turn around and head for my house.

--------------------

I hear Elena walking up the stairs and hop off my bed to go meet her. "Hey, Lena." I say smiling.

"Aria, are you okay? Tyler told me what happened." Elena says rushing over to me.

"I'm fine. I just rested for a little while and the headache went away." I say gently pushing her away. We hear someone in Jer's room and walk over there.

"Jer?" Elena calls out. Her voice sounds nervous. Why is that?

"Nope just me, the hypocrite patrol." Jenna answers rummaging though his stuff.

"What are you doing?" I ask suspicious.

"I've become my worst nightmare. The authority figure." Jenna says looking around the room. "I have to violate a 15 year olds privacy." Jenna say walking over to Jer's coat stack. She rummages through it then finds some drug thing, I'm guessing. "Jackpot." she exclaims. "I see the hiding places haven't got anymore original." Jenna says holding up Jer's boot.

"What brought this on?" Elena questions walking into the room. I hang out outside, I don't like going into my brothers room, it's just weird without his permission.

"Your asshat of a history teacher shamed me good yesterday." Jenna says as she keeps searching.

"You got Tannered." I joke. "Been there many times."

"Discover the impossible, Miss.Summers." Jenna say trying to imitate Tanner's voice. She holds up a bag of pot. "Thanks like I didn't know I was screwing up." Jenna says madly.

"Your not screwing up, Aunt Jenna." Elena says.

"Yes I am because I'm not her. She made everything look so easy, high school, marriage, having you two." Jenna pauses and looks at Elena. I know she is talking about our mother. "I can't do it." she says sadly. "I'm gonna say or do the wrong thing and he is going to get worse. And it's going to be my fault." Jenna has tears in her eyes. She goes and sits down on his bed. "It's impossible." she sighs.

"That's just the fear talking. Your a little scared thats all. We all are." Elena pauses, looking down at the ground. "I have to go do something but are you going to be okay?" Jenna smiles and nods. Elena smiles and stands up, walking down the stairs. I follow after her.

"Where are you going?" I ask already knowing the answer.

"Stefan's house, I need to talk to him." she says grabbing her keys. I nod and let her go, knowing she wants to be alone. I really wanted to see Damon but he probably wasn't home anyway. I sigh and head back up to my room.
