I bolt upright in my bed, sensing another presence in the room. I look around but I don’t see anyone. My eyes widen in horror when I see my bedroom door open, I know that it was closed a few hours ago when I went to bed. I slowly sit up in bed, doing another check of my room. Maybe I’m just being paranoid and it was Elena or Jeremy.

I get out of bed, walking over to my bathroom door and shutting it. I make sure my windows are locked before walking out into the hallway. I hear the creak of floorboards, letting me know that someone is out and about right now. I walk towards Jeremy’s room, peeking in like a stalker to see if he’s asleep. He’s out. I frown when I hear a floorboard creek right behind me.

I spin around, and scream slightly when I see a man standing behind me. The man cries out also, almost dropping his…cereal bowl? I look at the man closer and realize it’s Ric… only in his boxers, eating cereal.

“Aria, uh…” Ric stutters, trying to cover himself up with his hands. Eew, I don’t need to see my history teacher without clothes on.

“I thought I heard something, so I got up to check it out. Apparently I did hear something…” I smirk slightly, giving Ric a knowing look.

Ric laughs nervously, looking down at the ground. Jenna joins him on the stairs, only wearing Ric’s shirt and a pair of underwear. “That was us. Sorry.” Jenna smiles awkwardly, looking super embarrassed.

“So…how long have you too been hooking up?” I tease, giving them an amused look.

“No, we’re not talking about this Aria.” Jenna shakes her head vigorously, blushing bright red.

“Well, I’m naked so I’m just going to go.” Ric announces causing me to laugh, as he hurriers to Jenna’s room. I give Jenna a little smirk before heading back into my room, shutting the door behind me.

I look at my bed for a second before letting out a little laugh. I’m glad Jenna and Ric are together now, I hope they’re extremely happy. I was probably just being paranoid before, the wind blew it open or something. My windows were open. I get back into bed and fall asleep easily.

I flip the page of my book, rolling my eyes when the main character does another stupid, idiotic thing. Why is it always female characters doing the stupid things? It annoys me so much, and I just want to punch there nonexistent face.

I hear the doorbell ring, but I don’t bother getting up, knowing Elena is probably already on it. I turn back to my book, ready to read about more stupidity.

“Hello there.” a voice whispers in my ear, causing me to scream and practically fly off the sofa. I spin around, glaring at my boyfriend while he just smirks at me.

“What the freaking hell Damon?! You scared the shit out of me!” I yell, slapping his chest. He laughs, grabbing my waist and pulling me towards him. I keep my glare up and my hands secured down at my side, I will not give in to him.

“Oh come on Aria, it was pretty funny.” he grins, reaching up and pulling my hair out of its messy ponytail. “Much better.” Seriously? He just had to do that didn’t he?

“Damon, Aria we have things to discuss.” Stefan scolds, standing outside of the living room with Elena. Elena is trying to contain her glare, seeing Damon hold me. Jeez, isn’t she over that by now?

“What things?” I demand, finally able to push away from Damon.

“We visited Katherine.” Stefan states, and that is all it takes for me to practically sprint to the kitchen to sit down. I know that I’ve already heard what Katherine had to say but the boys could have gotten more out of her. She does like them better or at least Stefan.

When Stefan, Elena, and Damon walk in, I am already seated with my hands folded in front of me like a good school girl. Damon looks at me raising his eyebrows, “Isn’t someone a little curious?” Damon teases. He walks over to me and picks me up. I squeal a little, not liking him holding me up like I’m Simba from the Lion King. He sits down in my chair, then places me in his lap.

I look over at him blankly, “There are five other chairs, did you have to take mine?”

He smirks, “Maybe I just wanted to be a little closer to the girl I love.” I roll my eyes, leaning in and giving him a quick kiss. When I start to pull away, he wraps his arms around me, pulling me back towards him. I smile against his lips, and let the kiss deepen. Can’t say I’m not enjoying it.

“Stop, we have things to talk about.” Elena interrupts, and I pull away from Damon quickly. I totally forgot Stefan and Elena were in here watching us. Damon tends to make me forget my surroundings.

“Sorry, okay, carry on.” I smile nervously, looking at Stefan for help. Stefan starts to say something but I interrupt him by bursting out laughing. I jump away from Damon, giving him the stink eye. “Don’t tickle me, you bastard!”

Damon fakes an innocent look, “Me? I would never do such a thing when my brother is trying to talk.”

“Enough, you two! Save it for when I’m not here. Stefan go ahead, if Aria interrupts again, she can leave.” Elena glares at me, looking pissed off. I glare at her back, why is she so controlling? It’s not my fault she never has fun with her boyfriend. I don’t even know if Stefan and Elena are capable of having fun.

“When we went to visit Katherine, she wanted to bargain. If we got a witch to get her out, she would give us the moonstone and leave Mystic Falls forever. Her fear of Klaus was nothing compared to her hunger, she’s starving. Plus she’s getting bored down there.” Stefan explains, flinching at the hunger part. Damon told me that Stefan is always hungry since he doesn’t feed on human blood. Stefan isn’t even a proper vampire.

“You don’t believe her right? She won’t give us the moonstone and she certainly won’t leave Mystic Falls. That would mean leaving Stefan and she would never do that.” I smirk, shooting a look at Elena. I know the fact that Katherine loves Stefan annoys her. If she loved Damon, I would try to stake her myself.

“Of course we don’t believe her Ari, we just want the moonstone.” Damon shrugs, walking over and grabbing an orange. Hey! Those are my oranges…

“According to Rose’s friend Slater, there’s a way to destroy the spell that Klaus wants to break.” Stefan states, and I feel jealousy burn inside of me at the mention of Rose. Damon may not like her but she likes him, and I don’t like that. He’s mine. I don’t care if that sounds possessive.

“No spell, no doppleganger sacrifices. Ergo, you and my girlfriend live.” Damon smirks.

“How do you destroy it? Like a Harry Potter move, Reducto Curse, kind of thing?” I ask, remembering that’s what Ginny did in the The Order of the Phoenix movie.

“By releasing it from the moonstone.” Stefan answers, leaning over the counter. If he’s trying to look sexy, it’s not working.

“How do you guys know this is even going to work?” Elena sighs, always having to be the downer of the group.

“Because we’ve got a crafty witch on our side.” Damon grins, and I try not to frown at the mention of Bonnie. Her and I still aren’t back to normal, she’s still blocked on my Facebook account. I haven’t gone to the length though, of deleting her from my contacts, now that would just be cruel.

“You’ve discussed this with Bonnie.” Elena mutters.

“She agreed she would do anything she could to help us.” Stefan smiles, trying to reassure his negative girlfriend.

“It’s Katherine who has the moonstone, she’s not going to give it to you.” Elena argues. Does she want us to die? It sounds like it…

“We’re going to get it from her.” Stefan replies.

“Well, what he means to say, is we will pry it from her cold, dead hand if we have to.” Damon explains, causing me to smile a little bit. Katherine, dead, sounds great.

“Bonnie just needs to find a way to release the seal long enough for us to get in, grab the moonstone, and get out before she returns it.” Stefan tells us, and I’ll admit, it sounds like an okay plan.

“Wow, it sounds like you guys already have it all planed out.” Elena says, and I think I can detect some sarcasm in her voice.

“Yup, we’re awesome.” Damon smirks, giving a small shrug.

“Except for one thing, I don’t want you to do it.” I look over at Elena in horror, why Stefan and Damon share a confused look with each other.

“What are you talking about Elena? We don’t have a choice.” Stefan frowns.

“What about Klaus?” Elena demands. Oh, I get why she doesn’t want them to do it. She’s worried Klaus will kill them for interfering. Okay…starting to agree with Elena here. Only slightly though.

“We’ll find him right after we get the moonstone.” Stefan says.

“Is that before he kills everyone Aria and I care about. That includes the two of you.” Elena argues, and I agree with her. I will not let Klaus hurt anyone I love. Including Elena.

“Elena, if we can de-spell the moonstone, we can save yours and Aria’s lives.” Stefan states, looking at her in disbelief.

“I know, you keep saying that.” Elena sighs, shaking her head. She gets up, heading out of the room. I watch her walk away before turning back to the boys.

“Don’t ask me what I think because I don’t know. I’m going to go talk to my sister, so…” I give them a small smile, before chasing down my sister. I jog up to her room, guessing that’s where she went. It’s the most logical place.

“Elena?” I call out, opening her door a crack. I sigh, when I see her sitting on the edge of her bed with tears in her eyes. She looks up at me, catching my eye for a second before looking down right away.

“You understand why I’m telling them not too, right? I don’t want Stefan getting hurt, and I know you don’t want Damon getting hurt. If this goes wrong, or even if it works, Klaus will kill them.” Elena whispers, as I sit down beside her.

“I know, we’re screwed either way. Either we die or everyone we love does.” I sigh, looking up at Elena’s ceiling. When did our life get so fucked up?

“I won’t let him kill anyone we love, Aria. Damon and Stefan will keep trying to save us, you realize what we have to do, right?” Elena questions, looking over at me with tears running down her face.

I know what she means instantly but I don’t like it. She wants us to hand ourselves over to Klaus. “No Elena, we can’t just hand ourselves over to die! That’s giving up and I’m sure as hell, not a quitter!” I argue.

“If we don’t, people we love will die Aria! Maybe I could just go, there’s only suppose to be one doppleganger. You could get away, and continue living your life with Damon.” Elena suggests, sounding hopeful.

“Hell no, if one goes it will be me Elena. Not you.” I say, leaving no room for argument. My sister will live, I will make sure of it. If she doesn’t…then I’m going down with her.

“I’m going Aria, and you can’t stop me. I have to.” Elena states, causing me to groan.

“Looks like I’m coming too, if you think I’ll let you go alone, you’re crazy.” I smile sadly, causing Elena to wince.

“I don’t want you to die also Aria, you don’t have to.” Elena cries.

“I don’t want to die either but I can’t let you do something so stupid alone. I mean what are sisters for. So, are we still going or not?” I ask. Please say no, please say no.

Elena looks down at the floor again before nodding.

Yay, I’m literally walking to my death…

——————————————————-

We walk into the Salvatore house, and I try not to stomp my foot on the ground like a child. I begged Elena not to go to Rose but it’s the only way to get to Klaus. Since she has a friend who can contact him or something. It probably is the only way but I just don’t like Rose these days.

“Where do you keep the blood, I’m starving?” Rose questions smiling slightly, but it drops when she sees us. “Sorry I thought you were…” she smiles awkwardly, looking away.

“You thought we were my boyfriend, right?” I smile coldly, giving her my best death glare. Did I mention she’s only wearing a robe? I don’t think I did…

“There’s no one else here.” Rose tells us, thinking we are here for Stefan and Damon.

“Actually we’re here to talk to you.” Elena answers.

Rose smiles, but it doesn’t go to her eyes. She’s suspicious. “Then I should probably get dressed then.”

“It’s a bad idea.” Rose frowns, pacing in front of Elena and I.

“No it’s not, from what Stefan told me, your friend Slater obviously has more information about Klaus. You and Damon just gave up before you go it.” Elena glares and I feel jealously rise up in me. I forgot to mention they went on a little trip yesterday to talk to her friend.

“Because someone blew up a coffee shop with us in it.” Rose argues, giving Elena a stern look.

“There’s more to learn, we just have to find a way to learn it.” Elena sighs, not being intimidated by Rose. Good for her!

“Why are you two coming to me with this?” Rose demands.

“Because you owe us, one word me or Aria and Damon and Stefan could have killed you for kidnapping us.” Elena glares, making herself sound really bitchy. That’s going a little to far Lena…

“Or maybe because you two know they wouldn’t want you doing this.” Rose fires back, completely right. I don’t even want us doing this. “And that moonstone plan gives you two a chance to sneak away.” Great, Damon even told her his plans… Him, Stefan, and Bonnie are going to get into the tomb today.

“Look we’re having a disagreement. They’re willing to rise everyone we love, and we’re not.” Elena argues, causing me to flinch. I’m not sure what side to take. Rose looks over at me and I can tell she knows that I don’t want to do this.

“They’re just trying to protect you two.” Rose smiles sadly.

“And you’ve proven you couldn’t care less wether we are protected or not. So, we’re back to you taking us to Slater.” Elena almost smirks, and I can say I do like this side of her. It’s much better than the whiny side.

“And what exactly do you hope to achieve by this?” Rose questions, sitting down next to Elena. I think this is the longest time I’ve ever gone without talking. Jeremy would be proud.

“How would you like to be able to walk during the daylight?” I ask, breaking my no talking phase. I jinxed myself damn it!

Rose’s head snaps towards me, “I’ve been a slave to the shadows for 500 years, what do you think?”

“I think I know a bitchy witch who is willing to do whatever it takes to help. If you’re willing to make a deal of course.” I smirk, knowing I got her now. I don’t feel bad manipulating her, she likes my boyfriend.

Elena gives me a thankful smile, but I don’t return it. I did this for her, I don’t think this is a good idea at all.

But my sister is one of those stupid main characters, who does the stupid things, that makes fangirls swear about all the time. I’m one of those swearing fangirls right now…

——————————————-

I hate stairs, I really hate them. They’re tiring and pointless, why not just build an escalator? Or maybe an elevator? Those would be nice, especially if you live on the ninth freaking floor! I feel like we’ve been walking up these steps for hours.

I grin when I see Rose finally turning away from the stairs, and heading to a large apartment door. Wow, Slater must be pretty rich to live in a place like this.

“Slater! Open up! It’s Rose!” Rose yells, knocking on the door loudly. She waits a few moments but no one comes to the door. She turns to Elena and I, “He’s not home.” she shrugs. “Sorry.”

“No, we did not walk up all those stairs for nothing. Break the damn door vampire girl.” I glare walking over to her side. She glares back at me, before using that vampire strength of hers and pushing open the doors. I hear a chain breaking and falling to the floor. Who wraps chains around there door handles?

“After you.” she states, gesturing inside the house. I roll my eyes, and step right in the house, not afraid at all. Elena hangs back at the door, while I walk further into the house. “Slater?” Rose calls out heading towards the kitchen.

I walk into the living room, and look down the corner. “I don’t think he’s going to be much of a help guys.” I say, and they both run over to me. Slater is lying dead on the floor, with a stake in his heart.

Rose sighs, and walks over to him, dragging his body out of the hall. Wow, she’s real upset about her friend dying.

I follow Elena as she heads towards his computers, searching through his papers. “Looks like whoever blew up the coffee shop found him and killed him for his information.” Elena states, slightly distracted as she ruffles through his papers.

“Yeah, to stop him from helping people like us. That guy was a vampire almanac, knowing too much information just bit him in the ass.” Rose shakes her head, looking at his massive computer display. I think there are like six computers here. It’s like a gamers dream come true.

Rose walks over to the blinds, throwing them open. The sunlight startles both Elena and I. “What are you-“ Elena starts to say but Rose cuts her off.

“Tempered glass, UV rays can’t penetrate. I use to just come here and watch the day.” she sighs, looking out into the street. Some of my hatred dissolves for her. She’s lived a hard life, never really able to be happy.

“I’m sorry about Slater.” I apologize, feeling for her. She’s lost both Trevor and Slater, I shouldn’t be mad that she is friends with Damon. I don’t think she’s the bitchy type to steal someones boyfriend.

“Any luck?” she asks Elena.

“Um,” she turns on his computer. “It’s password protected, I can’t get in.”

Rose walks over to Elena and I, looking at the computer screen. “Then this is pointless, lets go.” she sighs, right as a loud banging sound comes from the other room. We spin around, looking into Slater’s room where the sound came from.

“Stay here.” Rose commands, heading towards where the sound came from. She opens the doors to Slater’s room, frowning. “Alice?” she questions. A sobbing girl comes running out of the room, into Rose’s arms.

“Rose.” she cries, hugging onto Rose tightly. Rose looks really uncomfortable but hugs the girl back anyway. The girl finally pulls away from Rose, but keeps a tight grip on her hand.

“Let me talk to her for a few minutes. Maybe you guys could make coffee of something.” Rose tells up before leading Alice over to the couch. Elena doesn’t question her and goes right to the kitchen, looking through the cabinets.

“You’re really gonna make coffee?” I question, leaning against the kitchen doorframe.

“What else am I gonna do?” Elena shrugs, finally finding some coffee mix.

I roll my eyes, “I’m gonna go find a bathroom. Hopefully vampires have those.” I grin, heading down the hallway. It doesn’t take me long to find the bathroom, thankfully.

I shut the door behind me, locking it. I pull out my phone and see a few missed calls from Damon. I take a deep breath before calling him back. Elena will be pissed when she finds out what I’m doing but she’ll have to get over it.

“Finally? Where are you?” Damon asks, right when he picks up on the fourth ring.

“At that Slater guys apartment with Rose and Elena. Listen Damon, Elena is planning on handing herself and me over to Klaus. I don’t like this idea, it’s stupid but I came so Elena wouldn’t be alone. Please get here as soon as you can to stop Elena. I would prefer not to be taken by
