I hear my alarm buzzing and I groan, trying to find the off switch. "Stupid friken thing!" I yell throwing it off my bed side table. I wince when I hear it break on the floor. That's only like the 10th one I've broken. Jeremy runs in the room looking sleepy.

"What the hell was that?" he asks.

"Um......my alarm clock." I shrug.

"Jenna is going to kill you." he laughs.

"No she won't. Because according to her......I spilled coffee on your homework so.....you broke my alarm clock." I say slowly knowing it's a really bad excuse.

"Good luck with that." he smirks walking out of my room.

"Thanks." I mumble getting up. I walk into the bathroom and look at the clock. "Crap!" I whisper/yell. I'm running pretty late, guess no shower for me this morning.

I run to my closet and grab some clothes quickly. I put on a grey short sleeve shirt with a kind of green cardigan over it. I throw on some black short-shorts with black leggings underneath so I don't freeze my ass off. To top it off I put on some short black boots and a black beanie, to cover up my frizzy hair. (Don't know if that sounds right or not, saw the outfit on the internet. Looked pretty cute.)

I grab my bag and speed down the stairs. "Elena?" I call out when I see the empty living room. I see a note on the counter and pick it up.

You were taking to long so I left. Hope you get a ride or else you have to walk. Don't get hypothermia.

"Seriously?" I question out loud. Jenna and Jer are gone so that means I have to walk. If I freeze or get hit by a car on the way there it is so Elena's fault.

I must have like speed walked or something because when I get to school, there's still 15 minutes left before the bell rings.

"Aria, you made it. Even with time to spare." Elena smiles walking up to me.

I glare at her. "Thanks for leaving me behind sis. I couldn't even shower, so my hair is really frizzy and I feel gross."

"Get over it, you'll live." Elena rolls her eyes.

"How do you know I will?" I question.

"Because, I'm guessing you don't die without a fight Aria." Stefan smiles walking up to us.

"Maybe, maybe not." I shrug, smiling slightly.

"Hey, Stefan." Elena smiles giving him a quick kiss. She pulls away and does a kissy face at me. I laugh and poke her in the shoulder, sometimes Lena can be funny. "So has Damon talked to you about Isobel?" Elena asks.

"He hasn't said a word to me. Every time I try to talk to him, he shuts me down." Stefan answers.

"Do you think he's still trying to find Katherine?" I sneer, hating that it pisses me off so much.

"I don't know. He waited 145 years to only find out that Katherine could not care less. That's gotta hurt, right?" Stefan shrugs.

"And it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy." Elena says sarcastically.

"You two have every reason to be upset with him." Stefan smiles, Elena nods. I don't reply because for some reason I don't feel upset. It's like I've already forgiven him or something..."Have you found out anymore about what you're gonna do?"

"About what? Isobel? My vampire birth mother who's related to my vampire ancestor, Katherine, who screwed over your vampire brother. Nah, I haven't though about it all." Elena glares. I laugh, for some reason I just find it kind of funny. Don't you?

Stefan laughs a little also. "I'm sorry I brought it up."

"It would just be nice if we could get through one day without having to deal with any of it. No vampire mother....brother." Elena sighs.

"No vampires at all?" Stefan smirks leaning in.

"Yes." I smirk not liking where this is going.

"No vampires but you." Elena ignores me, all flirty like. "I just want to get us back to normal stuff like school and homework. Here's a thought...fun."

"Oh, that sounds good to me. When do we start?" Stefan gasps. I roll my eyes.

"See ya guys later, I don't want to see any Stelena right now." I laugh and head to my locker. I do not expect him to be standing there, waiting for me.

"Tyler." I say surprised.

"Hey." he smiles.

"Um...what do you want?" I ask walking to my locker.

"I was just wondering, how you're doing." he replies nervously.

"I'm doing fine, so you can leave now." I say as politely as I can. Which not very polite.

"Aria, come on. I miss you, I figured your anger went away by now. Don't you miss me at all?" he pleads.

"You're right Tyler it did. It completely faded away, along with my feelings for you. You should move on and try to find someone else. Like I told you before, things will never be the same." I state.

"This is because of Damon Salvatore isn't it? You've fallen for him." he argues. Ugh, just stop please.

"It has nothing to do with Damon, Tyler. Please just....leave me alone." I walk past him, griping my textbook so hard my knuckles are turning white. I realize now, it has everything to do with Damon.

I look at the test in my hands, wanting to throw it into a fire to burn. I got my lowest mark of the whole year on this quiz, a friken C-!

I do pretty well in school even though I don't act like it sometimes. It upsets me, not doing good. So, yeah...I'm pretty damn upset.

"Aria!" Caroline calls running up to me.

"What did you get on this Chemistry quiz?" I question.

"Um...a B+. I think." she shrugs.

"Ugh, how did I do so bad?" I groan, shoving it into my locker.

"Did you study?" she smiles.

"No but...." I trail off.

"Haha, should have studied." she teases.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. So, what can I do for you?" I ask changing the subject.

"You're coming on a double date with Stefan, Elena, Matt and I." she states.

"Absolutely not."

"Why not?" she whines.

"Um...let me think. I would be with two couples, and I would have no one. I would have to watch you guys flirt all night. And......it would be embarrassing. Leave me out of it Caroline." I hiss.

"Aria, please. You're my best friend and I need you tonight more than ever." she pouts.

"Ugh, don't use the best friend card." I groan.

"Please, I really need you there." she pleads.

"Why are you even doing this? I mean you really want Elena and Matt to be together the whole night. What if old feelings spark?" I question.

"That's exactly the point. I need to make sure Matt's feelings are completely gone. If tonight doesn't go well then...I'll break up with him." she frowns

"Fine. I'll go, but you so owe me Care." I sigh. She screams in excitement and gives me a big hug.

"Love you." she grins.

"Yeah, whatever." I say, rolling my eyes.

"Oh come on, you know you love me too." she smirks.

"I love me, not you." I smirk back at her.

"Ugh, you're so stubborn." she sighs.

"I know." I grin.

"Whatever, see ya later." she gives me a small wave before disappearing down the hallway. I turn towards my locker and gently bang my head on it.

Tonight is going to be.......different.

Ah, I feel so much better now. As soon as I got home, I took a nice long shower. Now my hair is let down and has beautiful spiral curls, I'm wearing black jeans, a black hoodie, and black boots.

I hear the doorbell and race to get it before Elena since it's Stefan most likely. I open the door and see him standing there with flowers.

"Aww, Stef. You brought me flowers." I gasp.

"I think they're for me, Aria." Elena smirks taking them out of my hands. She turns to Stefan smiling, "Thank you."

"Well, I figured it's a date, why not do it right?" he says and Elena gives him a quick kiss.

"Yup, tonight is going to be real fun." I mutter. Stefan looks over at me smiling but Elena didn't hear me.

We all start heading for the kitchen, "I would have driven too but you're the one with the car." Stefan says.

I laugh, "You know you'd think that someone who was around when the car was invented, that they would actually have one." I tease.

"Oh, I have one. I just never drive it." he shrugs.

"That's genius Stefan. Absolutely genius." I say and bow down to him. He laughs, as does Elena. See, I'm funny. Yay.

"You know it's not too late to cancel." Elena states.

"Thank the lord." I say.

"Why would we do that?" Stefan questions.

"I don't know it just seems surreal, like maybe we weren't meant to get to the normal part." Elena frowns.

"Well, that's exactly why we're gonna do it. We're gonna go out, have some fun, and try to remember we don't have to be so serious. Listen when I decided to stay here and get to know you it was so I could do things like this, bring my girl some flowers, take her out on a date. Try to be normal." he smiles.

"Have you ever even been on a double date before?" Elena smiles back at him.

"Oh absolutely, in 72'. F and the twins." he states.

"What?" I laugh, he holds out his arm and Elena takes it.

"Yeah, playmates." he shrugs.

"Are you serious?" Elena says laughing. Stefan shrugs and sends her a innocent smile.

"Come on you two love birds, or we'll be late." I sigh.

"So Matt, how do you like working as a busboy at the fabulous Mystic Falls Grill?" I tease. Matt just got a job here to pay the bills.

"Uh...it's not that bad. The wait staff pays pretty good but they can't keep a bartender to save their lives. I actually put my Mom up for the job." he states.

"How's that been? Having Kelly back." Elena asks.

"You know same old Kelly. She's trying....sort of." Matt shrugs.

"Kelly and my Mom were best friends growing up. That's how Matt and I met, we shared a crib together." Elena laughs. I look over and see Caroline looking pissed off.

"You're kidding?" Stefan smiles.

"Nah, we've known each other our whole lives." Matt smiles almost lovingly at Elena. Caroline lets out a very annoyed sigh not liking this one bit. We hear a familiar laugh and all look over to see Jenna, Kelly, and Damon all drinking shots at the bar. "You've gotta be kidding me." Matt frowns. Damon sees us looking and smirks at us all, holding up his drink.

Stefan sighs and we all turn back around. The mood is quickly darkening and someone needs to lighten it up. That would be me.

"Let's play some pool! Matt and Caroline against Elena and Stefan while I am the referee." I grin standing up and taking Matt's hand. I hope Care doesn't get jealous because I have no interest him.

I drag him over to the pool table and tosses him the que stick. Shortly after everybody else comes and takes there sticks. We here Kelly cheer and Jenna laugh loudly.

"Well at least they're having fun." Caroline mutters.

"They're drunk." Elena smiles.

"Remember when my parents busted us here after homecoming?" I ask smiling.

Caroline laugh, "Oh my God, yes."

"We were wasted, it was the first time I ever got drunk. I blame Matt and Aria." Elena laughs.

"Her parents got seated at the next booth." Matt explains.

"Ugh, and Matt had me pretend I was choking so he could get away." Elena giggles.

"But her Dad was a doctor so he jumped up to save her." Matt laughs.

"Then I ran, slipped on the wet floor and bit it. In front of everyone, do you remember that?" Elena asks Matt. Caroline looks pissed and Stefan looks confused but also a bit jealous. "Three stitches, a hang over for days, and I was grounded from seeing this one for a week." Elena points at him grinning like crazy.

"Well I'm going to go to the restroom." Caroline announces, grabbing my hand. As we walk past Elena, Caroline gets her to come with us also. We walk to the restroom, and Caroline stands by the wall waiting for Elena.

"Go easy on her Care." I say but she ignores me. Elena walks in and goes to the sink to wash her hands not noticing us.

"So...um....what are you doing?" Caroline glares at her.

"What?" Elena asks.

"Well the point of this was to show him how much you cared about Stefan. Not to hopscotch down memory lane." Caroline scowls.

"I was just trying to make conversation." Elena frowns.

"Well...try less." Caroline sneers before leaving the bathroom. Elena looks over at me confused but I just shrug. We walk out of the bathroom and Elena hurries toward Caroline.

"Caroline." she calls trying to get her to stop.

Suddenly someone grabs my arm and I look over at the guy. I have no idea who he is. "Katherine?" he questions. I look at him in shock, he must be a vamp if he knows Katherine.

"I'm sorry but you have the wrong person." I say slowly.

"Aria, come on." Caroline says waiting for me.

"My mistake." he smiles. I look at him one last time before following Care back to the pool table. As soon as we get there, I pull out my phone and type a note.

"Everything okay?" Elena asks.

"Peachy." I mutter showing Stefan and her the note.

That man over there just called me Katherine.

Stefan looks up and the man is already gone. He walks away from us and looks around but the man disappeared. I look over at Elena and see she has a frightened look on her face. I'm guessing were thinking the same thing.

Was he from the tomb? Bonnie said they couldn't redo the spell so it's possible. But if it is that means we have 26 vengeful vampires running around.

"So you didn't recognize him, you have never seen him before?" Stefan questions pulling up to the boarding house with Matt and Care following in there car.

"No, there was nothing familiar about him at all." I answer.

"Alright, well...let's call it a night. Send Matt and Caroline home?" Stefan asks us.

"No, the whole point of tonight was not having to deal with this stuff. We need to get through one night....one normal night." Elena sighs.

"I agree." I say.

Stefan looks at Elena questionably, "You sure?"

Elena thinks for a moment, "No I'm not sure but I don't know what else to do."

"Look if there is another crazy vamp in town, he'll still be here tomorrow." I smile.

"Okay." Stefan nods and looks out the window seeing Matt and Caroline pull up. "That's them." he says like we don't already know. I get out of the car quickly because I start to see them kiss. Eew, none of that.

They get out of the car and Matt looks up at the house amazed. "Yeah, I know. That was my first reaction." I smile.

"It's......gigantic." he says amazed.

"Yup, there bathroom is bigger than my whole room." I shrug. Matt laughs, and Caroline still looks pretty pissed.

"Come on, let's get inside." Stefan suggests walking up to us hand in hand with Elena. We all agree wanting to get out of the cold and hurry inside.

"Ya, this is much better than watching Damon visit cougar town." Caroline jokes. "No offense." Caroline says to Matt since it's his Mom. Hey! What about Elena and I? Jenna is our guardian.

"Don't remind me." Matt mutters, "Man, I always wanted to see what it looks like in this place." Matt announces.

"Ya, I guess it's a bit much." Stefan smiles.

Matt laugh, "My entire house could fit in here like twice."

"I feel like I've been here before." Caroline states looking around. I look at Elena worried, what if Damon's compulsion wears off? No.....that's not possible.

"Hey, do you guys want to watch a movie?" Elena asks changing the subject.

"Woah, these are great." Matt says walking over to Stefan's collection of cars in some shelf. Well....I think there Stefan's. The thought of Damon collecting toy cars makes me want to die laughing.

"Ah...that's just a little hobby of mine." Stefan shrugs.

"When I was like 10 I collected the whole Mustang series." Matt smiles looking at the cars.

"You like cars?" Stefan asks.

"That's an understatement." I laugh, knowing Matt very well. He may love Elena but he actually spent more time with me. Haha bitches, be jealous.

I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Don't worry.

"Follow me." Stefan says starting to walk away. Matt follows him like an eager little puppy. I look over at Elena.

"If your boyfriend spends all night talking to Care's boyfriend about cars I will kill both of you." I threaten as we all start following them to the garage.

"Why me?" they ask at the same time.

"I will kill you both because, Caroline dragged me to this in the first place and it's Elena's boyfriend." I smirk.

"I don't control what Stefan does." Elena protests.

"Yes you do because you have taken up residence in his bed." I smirk.

"Arianna Gilbert!" Elena yells embarrassed. Caroline smirks liking me picking on Elena. Guess she's still a little pissed off.

"We should be heading to the garage, Arianna." Caroline says still smirking and grabs my hand. By the time were to the garage the boys have already opened it, revealing a car with a tarp over it.

"Prepare yourself my friend." Stefan says leaning down to take the tarp off.

"Oh I'm prepared." I sigh hating talking about cars unless it's Damon's car. God, I love his car so much. Stefan takes off the tarp, revealing that it's an old red Porsche. Cool.

"Woah...wait, how do you have this?" Matt questions.

"Got passed down through the family." Stefan smirks opening the door.

"Why don't you drive it?" Matt asks in disbelief.

"Well I would love to but it doesn't run. I can't figure it out." Stefan lies. Elena smiles probably happy her boyfriend is being so nice to her ex.

"Why would you own a car that doesn't run?" Caroline sighs.

"Be more of a girl right now." Matt laughs looking up at her. Caroline makes a face at him and I laugh.

"Nice comeback." I whisper to her. She makes another face at me and I laugh even harder.

"Why don't you come take a look at this." Stefan tells Matt referring to the engine.

"Elena, Aria, remember the old Camaro your Dad use to have?" Matt smiles.

"Of course. How could we not? Mom used to give him so much shit for keeping that thing around." I laugh and Elena laughs with me. Ugh, I miss my parents.

"You know I built and rebuilt that engine 20 times." Matt tells Stefan.

"Wow." Stefan smiles.

"I don't like sport cars, there to hard to make out in." Caroline pipes up.

"Agree, I once made out with this kid Noah in his Corvette. Bad idea." I sigh.

"Nah, it wasn't that bad." Matt says looking at Elena. I sigh, he did not just say that. Caroline glares at him before walking out of the garage. I run after her followed by Elena. Why is she coming? She's the problem.

"Caroline." Elena calls out. Caroline doesn't turn around and looks off into the forest.

"I don't want to talk about it." she snaps.

"You're being ridiculous." Elena sighs.

"And insecure...and stupid but that doesn't change the fact that Matt is always going to be in love with you and I'm always gonna be the backup." she glares at her.

"You're not the backup, Care." I say.

"Yes I am! I'm Matt's Elena backup, I'm your Bonnie backup, I used to be Aria's Tyler backup." she argues.

"Now it's about me and Tyler?" I question at the same time Elena questions, "Now it's about me and Bonnie?"

Caroline lets out a disbelieved
