"What did you see?" Elijah asked, his brown eyes looking at Bonnie who shook her head.

"It's not possible. It can't be possible. He's dead." Bonnie muttered. Nik glared at her, stomping over to her.

"What. Did. You. See?" He demanded. Bonnie looked at Nik, not showing any fear towards him, but a small smirk made her lips twitch.

"Mikael." Nik's face dropped. I watched as my other mates froze, snapping their gaze to the Bennett witch.

"He's dead." Nik gritted out. I stepped away from the mirror, looking at my mates and the witch.

"Who is Mikael?" I questioned. But I was ignored.

"I know. But Mikael was in her dreams. He was in her memories." Bonnie explained to him. She looked to me, eyes showing sympathy. "But that's not the best part. Octavia, you're not human... Well you are half."

"What do you mean?" I walked over to her, confused. "That man- Mikael... He said I wasn't human too. What am I?" Bonnie shook her head.

"It was a mess. The ancestors are fighting it. They don't want me- you to know." Bonnie admitted. The ancestors? The witches? I reached up and grabbed the pendant around my neck.

"How is Mikael entering my dreams? I thought this was supposed to protect me." I questioned, turning to look at Elijah.

"Henrik died with that necklace on- his blood must have soaked into it.." Nik trailed off, seeming a bit distant now. "The spell the witches used to protect you must only protect around those not related to the blood soaked in it."

"You're related to Mikael?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowed.

"He's our father." Finn muttered. They all looked uncomfortable. Even Bonnie. But no one looked as fearful and uncomfortable as Nik. I stepped over to him and placed my hand on his shoulder. He wasted no time in pulling me to him. My arms wrapped around him, stroking his back soothingly.

"I'm going to New Orleans. I'm getting us a witch that has no ties to the Ancestors." Kol announced. I looked over at him, frowning. "Don't give me that look." He sighed, walking over to me and pulling me from Nik. Who growled in frustration.

"Someone should go with you." I told him. Kol went to argue but was stopped.

"I'll go with him." Elijah volunteered. I sighed, nodding.

"We'll figure this all out, sweetheart." Kol mumbled as he held me to him. "It doesn't matter what you are though. As long as you aren't a fish." I looked up at him confused.

"Kol has a terrible fear of fish ever since we had gone swimming in the watering hole by our home." Finn chuckled.

"Oh, well while you two are gone, I'm going to need to hear that story." I laughed. Kol squeezed me slightly for my teasing.

-

Kol and Elijah left a few hours after for New Orleans. Nik was in his studio and Finn had just told me the story of the time that a fish tried to attack Kol's bumhole in the swimming hole. He's apparently pretty traumatized from it. Won't even eat fish let alone go fishing.

After some time, I decided to go bother Nik. Walking out of my room and down the stairs to the studio. I stood there for a minute, trying to decide if I should knock or just enter. Deciding on a short knock before opening the door.

"Typically you knock and wait for a response, love." Nik mumbled as he held a pencil in his hand and looked to be sketching on a canvas.

"Oh-" I stepped back out of the room, closing the door. Hearing Nik let out a snort at my sarcastic response. I knocked on the door and waiting. I could hear him moving around in the studio before he opened the door. A smirk on my face as I placed my hand on his chest.

"How can I help you, love?" Nik asked, his eyes looking at my hand on his chest.

"I was wondering if you were busy tonight." I mentioned, dragging my fingers along his chest. Nik raised his eyebrow at me, returning the smirk to me.

"Are you asking me out, Octavia?" I hummed as I watched his chest shook a bit, like a flutter.

"Maybe I am." I smiled, meeting his eyes through my eyelashes. Nik's eyes darkened slightly at the look I was giving him.

"Want to go dancing, love?" He questioned reaching out and pulling me into his arms. Both of my hands on his chest before sliding my arms around his neck.

"I can't even dance." I laughed. Nik shook his head as he leaned his head down. Before I knew it, Nik dipped me backwards causing my arms to tighten around his neck as I squealed. "Nik!!" I laughed.

"I would never let you fall, trip or make a fool of yourself." Nik assured me, pulling me back up and connecting our lips in a slow kiss. I smiled into the kiss, biting his lip slightly as he pulled back. Nik let out a soft growl at me. "Go get changed." He told me, pulled back from me.

"Mmm Fine. Since you asked nicely." I joked as I turned away from him and went to walk away. A slap on my ass made me squeal, turning my head to the side to see Nik making his way into the studio quickly. A laugh echoing as he closed the door. I laughed, shaking my head before moving back up to my room.

I was so thankful that Rebekah and Caroline helped me pick out a nice dress for this date. It's been handing in a cloth dressing bag in my closet since I got it. I undressed and rubbed some lotion on my skin. I thought it was so strange that my skin was a bit bumpy today- like goosebumps all of my arms. My mom used to call them Milk bumps. I doubt that's what they really are called though.

Putting on my dress, I smiled in the mirror. My hands touching the material of the dress. I walked over to my dresser, pulling out a black lacy thong. It was the only underwear I could wear under this dress. Otherwise I'd go without them. Which was always an option.

A knock on my door pulled me from my thoughts. Opening the door I was pleasantly pleased with what I saw.

"Is that Elijah's shirt?" I question with a playful smirk. Nik rolled his eyes smiling. His eyes darting down at my dress.

"You look beautiful."

A/N: We had some amazing guesses on what Vee is in the last chapter. So I made this Aesthetic board for her. Any guesses?
