As far as Hitoshi knows, there was apparently two villains who got through security, god knows how the police knew, the police forces were silently searching UA for the two villains in question, and somehow Killua managed to not only catch the two, defeat them somehow, and singlehandedly carried them over to Tsukauchi, and who knows how Killua knew about the villains in the first place.

The purple haired teen knew not to question Killua, he honestly stopped questioning his pale haired friend's antics and immense power ever since his training, and especially after the sports tournament started. But to do something as major as this with barely anyone knowing? Normal students don't do this, hero course or not. But he'll save the contemplation for later, right now he has a tournament to strategize about.

"AND WE'RE BACK FROM THE BREAK!" Present Mic's voice booms once again, "AND NOW, FOR THE SECOND WAVE OF THE ONE-ON-ONE TOURNAMENTS, OUR FIRST BATTLE WILL BE TENYA IIDA FROM CLASS 1A OF THE HERO COURSE!". Just as his name was called, Iida walked out of the tunnel corridor and into the stadium, walking to the stage. "VERSUS! HITOSHI SHINSO OF THE GENERAL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT!", Present Mic continued, followed by Hitoshi walking onto the stage as well.

Tenya Iida probably knows about Hitoshi's quirk by now, as the rest of the crowd does. Hence, it won't be very easy to use a surprise attack. So, Hitoshi plans to utilize his skills he honed with none other than the pale haired boy's guidance.

"Ready? Go!"

At the declaration by Midnight indicating the tournament started, Iida wastes no time zooming across the court with the help of his quirk. Anticipating this attack, Hitoshi dodges the blue haired teen in swift motions before Iida even started dashing, allowing the insomniac to dodge in time before being pushed over the border.

Contrary to popular belief, the capture weapon that looks like rip-off eraserhead gear wasn't Hitoshi's only support gear. In fact, there's still a few more gadgets he prepared. But as Killua often says during their combat tutoring lessons, "A good fighter never reveals all their cards. I suggest you do, too. Not everyone is trusted enough, so don't you go revealing all your cards even to me!" he'd always say with a cocky smirk as Hitoshi's beaten body lies motionless on the training room floor.

Trying the same method he did earlier, Iida dashes for Hitoshi once again, whom grabs on the capture weapon around his neck as he dodges once again. Stopping a few inches before the border, Iida stops momentarily to regain his bearings, giving Hitoshi a golden opportunity to throw his capture weapon at him, aiming for the legs.

However, Tenya Iida knew a trick or two from his older brother, Tensei, who was also known as the pro-hero Ingenium. Leaping out of the way, Iida dashes once again towards Hitoshi, who in a moment of panic steps aside, instead grabbing a gun from his holster hidden under his shirt. Hitoshi was actually wearing a uniform a few sizes bigger than his actual size in order to keep the holster secured above his pants hidden better, rather than wearing his holster normally around his hips like Killua does.

Right as Iida is about to dash at Killua for the fourth time, Hitoshi shoots, aiming for the legs. However, what comes out of the gun was not a bullet like how normal guns are, as that would be too dangerous to use for the festival. Plus, Hitoshi doesn't trust himself enough to use legitimate guns. What did come out of the gun, however, was a syringe that shot right to Tenya's skin, injecting the fluid into his body. It was a liquid that gives the stimulation of a real gunshot. The pain, burn, and temporary paralysis is the same as a real gunshot wound, but the effects don't last as long. Hitoshi likes to call it walmart ammo, much to Mei's dismay.

With a grunt and thud after being caught off-guard, Iida kneels over on the ground with wide eyes. "What..?" directly noticing the syringe, Iida pulls it out of his shin, but when he looks up his blue eyes are met with Hitoshi's purple ones.

Iida's leg is burning with pain, and he can't get up. How did he not notice Shinso had a gun? Where'd he grab it from? What was that syringe? What's even in the syringe? Poison? The blue haired teen had no energy to run away from Shinso, seeing as he'd need to use his legs, in which one is out of commission.

"Sorry, man," Hitoshi says as he grimaces, grabbing Iida from the arms, to which the hero student flailed around, hoping to get Hitoshi to stop dragging him out of the border. To most people, it would seem as if Iida has lost, though some might find it such an easy win for Shinso.

However, Tenya Iida isn't a person who'd give up just like that when the odds aren't in his favor. So, whilst flailing around to stall time, Iida tries with all his might to just move. Get away from the purple haired teen, buy some time to strategize, anything.

Gathering all the energy in his body despite his leg screaming in pain, Iida got into a half-standing state, with Shinso still trying to drag him out of bounds. However, Hitoshi utilized the position to try and push Iida out of bounds better since Iida's supporting a bit of his own weight, but Hitoshi wasn't prepared for the blast form Iida's engine legs that propelled the hero course student away from Shinso and away from the predicament he was in. As a side effect, the force of the engine also pushed Hitoshi towards the bounds he was going to throw Iida out of, and the purple haired boy would have been out of bounds if it wasn't for his reflex to use the capture weapon on Iida's torso, and instead of pulling Iida out of bounds, Shinso decided to propel himself forward to Iida's direction.

The two boys are now on opposite sides from each other on the battlefield, Shinso looking passive as always whilst Iida was breathing hard, trying his best to ignore the searing pain lingering in his leg and to think of a method to try to win this tournament against all odds, or at least prove himself somehow. No way was he going to get absolutely beaten in both tournaments he participated in.

"Uh, yeah. Sorry for the, um, gunshot wound," Shinso says sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck. Still being in his adrenaline rush and quite out of it, Iida tries to stall for time in order for this fluid to stop its effects, or maybe devise a plan quickly. "What was in that syringe, anyway?" he asks, hoping it was enough to stall for time.

However, Iida realized just after he replied that he did a huge mistake. He knew and kept telling himself not to say anything in this tournament, but he was ultimately defeated by himself, for forgetting the one thing he was thinking the hardest about upon stepping onto the battlefield.

It wasn't a surprise to Tenya when he lost control over his body, his mind getting fuzzy and foggy. It was upsetting on the blue haired teen's part, but Iida knew it was his own fault, no matter how disoriented and out of it he was from the adrenaline and the pain in his leg.

"Sorry about this, too," Hitoshi says, grimacing, "Walk out of bounds."

And the other boy did walk out of bounds. Somewhere whilst he was walking, Iida knew he couldn't pull something off like Midoriya did, and the boy was beyond frustrated. He didn't get to prove himself, he lost so pathetically to the only two opponents he faced, and to top it off, what happened to Tensei...

"You did great, sleepyhead! " Mei congratulated with a huge smile on her face, Killua nodding at her statement in silent congratulation as well. "Um yeah, thanks," Hitoshi said, slumping down on a chair in the GenEd area of the audiences.

"Could've given a bit more opportunity for Iida to prove himself, but that just means you didn't underestimate him, which is good," Killua says, "I just feel a bit bad for the guy, you know?" he continues with a small snort.

"I said sorry"

"Yeah! Give it a break, Killua, geez. At least he got to show off my gunshot simulator T1907!"

"I said it was a good thing, were you even listening?"

"... I don't know if I should be concerned that she named the fluid like she has a thousand more, or if I should just label it as Mei wanting to name her, quote on quote, babies cool."

"Hehe"
