"Heyy mama" I yelled walking into the house

"aww my baby finally here , I missed you" she came to hug me

I went to Fort Valley college for two years and just now coming home for Thanksgiving. I was not planning on coming but everybody on campus was going back home to so it was gonna be boring.

"Hey Mama" my boyfriend Travis said coming in with our bags

"hey baby how you been " she asked giving him a hug

"I've been good , life been good , and the  dic-" I cut her off before she could finish

"no ma'am" I semi yelled

"Oh sorry" she laughed a little

"Anyways yall gone help me cook cause everybody and they ma coming to my house for thanksgiving this year so I gotta get started" 

"you asking or tell" I asked

"telling" with that being said she walked towards the kitchen 

"Travis go put our stuff in my room and come back to help , please don't burn nothing" I said making him hold his chest looking hurt "I'm hurt cause you basically said I can't cook". I walked into the kitchen while yelling behind me "cause you cant".

The only reason why I brought Travis with me is because he doesn't have family , most of the died or he doesn't know. Plus I didn't want leave him there by himself.

10 hours later 

We finally got finish cooking we just waiting on the turkey to finish.

"welp thank yall for helping me cook yall can have to rest of the day to yall self"  my mama spoke up

"mhm , my back hurt and everything , I just did all that work and didn't even get paid for either" I said shaking my head.

"girl stop complaining and you barely did nothing but try to eat the food" Travis said

"whatttttt?" I said acting confused known it was true

"right , anyways im bout to go to bed ill see yall in the morning" mama said walking away to her room

"night" "goodnight" we replied going up to my room

We took a shower and did our night routine. After that we got in the bed we fell asleep watch at Netflix.
