Shark's POV
"Hey Shark what are you up to today ?"Asked someone behind me.I turned around and saw (y/n) smiling at me."Why do you care ?"I said in a harsh tone. "We've known each other since we were kids. Is it that bad I care about my childhood friend?" She asked pouting." 'Tsk' Whatever,"I said walking away with her trailing behind me.

I've known (y/n) since my first year in elementary school. She was different from most people I've met. I would always push her away ,but she would always just pout and follow me anyway. She's always been kind to me despite me being rude to her. In a way I started developing feelings for her but I don't think she feels the same.

"Hey Reginald,(y/n) wait up!" We turned around and saw Rio running towards us."Hey Rio how's it going,"said (y/n) as Rio hugged her."Just fine.I haven't seen you in a while though,"she said." Yeah sorry I've been busy,"said (y/n) as she scratched the back of her neck."Shoot I just remembered something. I'll see you some other time!" She said running off.

Your POV
"Now Lord of Frost end this battle!" I yelled as my monster took out my opponent. "Alright 34th win in a row! That's a new record!"I yelled. I looked at my watch and it read 5:48pm." Shoot I'm late!"I yelled as I ran off.I was supposed to meet up with Shark 5 minutes ago. He's not going to be happy with me.

When I got to the park where we were supposed to meet up, I saw a really inpatient Shark. "You're late,"he stated.I looked up at him sheepishly before saying anything. "Sorry,someone challenge me to a duel and I thought I could mop the floor with the guy before we had to meet up," I said. He let out an annoyed sigh."Doesn't matter now. Anyway come on its getting late,"he said walking towards the lake. "Right,"I said as I followed close behind him.

I've known Shark for years and even though he acts mean and rude,I couldn't help but stay by his side. Actually,I've had feelings for him since I first talked to him.I just never said anything, afraid that I might ruin the friendship I worked so hard to form. I know he's been through a lot. When Rio was in the hospital I was the only one that was there for him even though he always pushed me away. Right now I don't care if we stay friends as long as I can stay by his side.

Shark's POV
I noticed that (y/n) hasn't said anything since we started walking. I looked over to her and it looked like she was deep in thought. "Hey (y/n) are you okay? You haven't said anything," I said. She looked up at me and said,"Yeah I'm fine. Just some thoughts going through my mind."

I stopped in my tracks when a question crossed my mind. "(y/n) how come no matter how rude I am to you...your still willing to stay at my side?" I asked. When I looked at her she was blushing and a small smile danced on her face. "There are people in this world that enjoy being alone, but there isn't a single person that can bear solitude. It's one of the last things my grandfather taught me before he passed away 5 years ago," she said as she looked up at the sky.

What she said after that really surprised me." That and I...I love you.Ever since we met I have always strived to get closer to you.I don't care if you don't feel the same way.As long as you let me stay by your side," she said. I walked closer to her and lifted her chin up. "Listen I'm only saying this once I love you too," I said and with that I closed the space between us.

Hope you guys liked it and again sorry for not updating anything. First writers block and then school is a pain in the ***. Anyway I put an anime quote in the oneshot and whoever guesses the quote, anime series, and who said it...Will get to choose which character I do next.
