Note! I did say that this story does not follow the story line. In my book, Angel's character changes things. Please just don't read, if you don't want to.

The blonde beauty's eyes glanced around the living room indifferently, while the Bennett witch stared at her. A cold silence settled between the two women, and the tension remained thick.

Angel's dark eyes met Sheila's, and the Petrova graced the woman with an impassive smirk.

"So," the blonde drawled, "what do I want to know?"

The Bennett pursed her lips. "Why you're alive."

Angel hummed calmly and tilted her head at the Bennett's blank features. "Well then, out with it."

Sheila shook her head. "I want something from you first."

The blonde coldly laughed, while a knowing look crossed her features. "I know, sweetheart. What is it?"

The Bennett held in a scoff at the nickname. "I want you to help my granddaughter."

Angel rolled her eyes. "And how can I help her?"

"She's been diving into Expression. All thanks to your twin, by the way."

"You can't control what another witch does. Nobody can. Not even my sister, so quit with that witchy judgement your whole line seems to bask in."

Sheila ignored Angel's comment. "You help my girl, and I will help you."

Angel remained silent. "Okay, fine."

Sheila's lips tilted up. Reaching in her back pocket, she pulled out a piece of paper. "Here," she mumbled, while holding it out to the Petrova.

Angel narrowed her eyes before snatching the paper out of the woman's hands. Anger radiated off her, as her fingers traced the rugged side of the torn out page from her book. The letters were swirled in uneven writing. She could tell one of her witch acquaintances had been the one to write it after her last death.

"You stupid, idiotic, unworthy bitch."
Angel glared at the woman with disgust. "How dare you look through my book. How dare you rip out a page from it!"

Anger was building in her, and her magic was heightening in response to her anger.

Sheila kept her face cool, but her heartbeat sped up. Her eyes remained blank, as she stared at the powerful girl. "I protected my own."

Angel's glare never softened, but she understood where the grandmother was coming from. Besides, it was Angel's mistake to trust the Bennett line in keeping her book safe. The Bennett's were the ones who held onto the Petrova's book, while she drifted through purgatory. This was the Bennett's 'thank you' to Angel, after she had saved one of the older witches in the line, which resulted in its continuance.

"How do you expect me to help your child?"

Sheila shrugged. "I guess that's up to you."

Taking the short response as a goodbye, Angel left, while her body cooled from the seething disgust she held.

As she tossed herself in the car, her eyes traveled down to the writing. She huffed, before pulling out of the driveway.

------------------

Angel pulled in front of the Gilbert house, and pursed her lips as she eyed Bonnie's car in the driveway. With an irritated groan, she swung open her car door and sauntered in the house. The blonde grimaced at the laughter that flowed throughout the house, but followed it.

After knocking on her twin's bedroom door, she peaked in. All the laughter ceased.

"Angel," Elena announced, clearly surprised. "What's up?"

The blonde girl shrugged, while glancing at Caroline before staring directly at Bonnie. "Nothing, really," she drawled, while tilting her head. "What are you guys doing?"

The three girl's glanced at each other. "Just talking," Caroline piped in. "You can join to if you want."

Angel smiled curtly at the bubbly blonde. "No, no, that's okay.  I was actually wondering if you would mind moving your car, Bonnie? I need to pull up, and I don't want to box you in."

Bonnie's eyes widened in realization, but a bit of suspicion still swept through her dark orbs. "Yeah, sure," she muttered. "No problem."

Angel followed Bonnie down the stairs and to her car.

"You don't have to get in with me," the Bennett mumbled, as she opened the driver's side door.

Angel smiled sweetly and shrugged.

Bonnie shook off Angel's attitude and backed her car out.

"Keep driving," the blonde demanded, while her eyes stared out the passenger window.

"What, no," Bonnie scoffed.

Angel turned her intense gaze to the Bennett and smile. "Yes," she hissed lowly. "It's important."

Bonnie pursed her lips before reluctantly following the blonde's order.  "Where are we going?"

Angel sighed. "To the forest. Pull over when we get to a secluded spot."

"Wow, that didn't sound creepy at all," Bonnie mumbled.

Angel scoffed. "I figured you would only respond to something creepy. My sister and her friends seem to be only attracted to the dangerous situations, after all. "

Bonnie rolled her eyes and eventually pulled over by an abandoned road that ran along the edge of the forest. "Now what?"

Angel ignored the girl's huff and stepped out of the vehicle without a word. As she strolled carelessly into the dark shadows of the trees, Bonnie stared after her with wide eyes.

"Angel! Are you insane?"

The blonde scoffed, while continuing her march into the woods.

"Angel!" Bonnie stared at the Petrova's retreating figure before groaning and following after her.

As the trees became thicker and the world became quieter, Angel abruptly stopped and turned to the irritated witch.

"Why would you--" Bonnie angrily began to say.

Angel hushed her by grabbing the girl's hands and tugging her close.

"You feel that, don't you? The power?"

Bonnie struggled in Angel's grip, but froze when she felt the blonde's strong magic.

Angel grinned. "It feels good doesn't it? Mmm, I know. I really do."

Bonnie pursed her lips at the seductive smile on the Petrova's face.

Angel tilted her head, as black veins crawled along her skin. Her magic turned darker, while an evil bitterness leaked into her power. The Bennett witch tried to draw away from the girl's tight grip, but Angel wouldn't release her.

"What about now, Bonnie? Does it still feel good?"

Bonnie tried to pull away again, but Angel's grip was like steel. "Let--let me go."

Angel laughed and shook her head, while increasing the Expression throughout her blood. "Oh, come on, princess. You're the real shit, aren't you? You can handle expression. You can control it."

Bonnie bit her lip at the amount of power Angel was emitting. It was painful. "Let go!"

"What's wrong? This is it! This is what you can do, isn't it?" Angel's eyes gleamed with a vicious glow of contempt. She despised it when ignorant children played with a power far greater than they could handle.

Bonnie gasped in pain, as tears gathered in her eyes. "Angel--I had to! Let go! Let go now!"

"You had to?" The blonde scoffed, while harshly pushing the Bennett witch away. "And why would you have to?"

Bonnie released a breath, as the reminiscence of pain still lingered throughout her body. "To protect my best friend," she spat out, while glaring at the blonde.

Angel tilted her head in observation. "You're trying to kill Niklaus."

Bonnie remained silent, but that was the only confirmation Angel required.
"Death will come for you, Bonnie."

Bonnie gritted her teeth. "I know."

Angel nodded, while her eyes scanned the girl before her. "I will take care of Nik, and you will stop using Expression."

Bonnie narrowed her eyes at the demanding tone. "Excuse me?"

"You're too weak, and you lack experience. You can't stay in control."

"Oh, and you can," Bonnie snapped.

Angel smirked. "Oh, sweetheart. I certainly can. I know Expression. Expression is my magic, but it is foolish witches like you who stray from their magic."

Bonnie bit her lip in frustration, and Angel leaned towards her, putting her lips by the Bennett's ear. "It always feels good at first, but, in the end, it only causes pain. That is the curse of Expression, so I suggest you let me take care of the issue, and you save yourself, before it's too late."

Angel pulled back and smiled at the surprised teenager. "I guess you should get back to Elena. Goodbye, Bonnie."

The Bennett furrowed her brows, as the Petrova strolled deeper into the woods.

--------------

Angel knew that Klaus would not be appeased by her efforts of fulfilling his obsession. He was too paranoid. Too broken.

Angel just needed some time, and that's exactly what she bought herself.

Thanks for all the support, lovies! ❤❤
