Angel reveled in the silence that danced inside her mind. The absents of noise caused a shock of rare pleasure to ripple through her spine, dripping lecherously down each individual vertebrae. The tomb would be opened soon, and Damon's heart would be crushed. Angel didn't feel guilty about the upcoming events, no, she didn't care.

"Angel," Elena muttered, while standing outside of the blonde's door, "family meeting downstairs. Hurry up, you've been in there for an hour, we're waiting."

Angel's brows furrowed, as she heard the brunette glide away. They never had a family meeting before.

"Oh," she mumbled, nodding her head in understanding. They had found out about her assisting the older Salvatore. With a huff, she stepped out of the shower and dried off, before throwing on some clothes and lazily strolling to her awaiting intervention.

"I though this was a family meeting," the blonde drew, with a smirk. Four sets of eyes snapped in her direction, all holding different emotions.

"They are our family." Elena looked at Angel in disapproval, while Bonnie frowned, seemingly stung by the blunt remark.

"You mean your family," Jeremy corrected, shrugging as Elena glared at him. "What," he asked, grinning as he heard a low laugh bubble out of Angel's mouth. "We're not even friends with Stefan and Bonnie. Oh, no offense."

"None taken," Bonnie spat sarcastically. He simply shrugged, once again, in response.

"Why are you helping Damon," Stefan demanded, his eyes gazing directly into her bored ones.

"Because I feel like it."

"You're supposed to be on our side," Bonnie boldly stated.

"Says who," Angel laughed. "The only reason you give a shit about the tomb opening is because Elena does, and the only reason Elena gives a shit about it is because Stefan does. Damn, I knew sissy dearest here was a follower, but I never thought I'd see the day a Bennett became one. Pity."

"Excuse you," Bonnie huffed, "what do you know about my family."

Angel smiled sweetly at the fuming girl, then shot her a wink.

"Please, Angel, stop with the mind games. Why are you helping him? What could you do? He's probably just going to use you as a blood bag!"

Angel ignored the feelings of concern that were tumbling out of Elena's pores. "Well," she hummed, "I am able to use magic, and maybe I'm helping him out of boredom, you know how I just adore chaos."

Her brow raised as Elena and Jeremy gaped.

"Wait..what! You..yo..y-you never told any of us," Elena stuttered.

"Didn't think it mattered."

"Of course, it does!"

"Then I just didn't care enough to mention it."

Elena narrowed her eyes. "That's impossible," she denied, "you can't have magic."

"Actually," Bonnie cut in sheepishly, "she does. I've felt it."

Elena's eyes widened.

"I thought I was wrong! I'm still getting used to the whole magic thing," the witch defended.

Elena's stare turned to Stefan. "Why aren't you suprised?"

He glanced at the uncaring blonde, before facing his girlfriend. "Because I already knew about it."

"How," she demanded, clearly upset with being out of the loop.

"Yeah, Stefan, how'd you know," Angel dramatically asked.

"They don't know," Stefan questioned the mocking blonde.

"Know what," Elena groaned.

"Nope," the blonde admitted.

"About," the Salvatore continued.

"About what?"

"No," Angel repeated dully.

"Can you stop ignoring us and explain what we're missing," Elena gritted out.

"Technically, we were just ignoring you," Angel asserted coolly, but her infamous fake smile stayed on her lips.

"I've known Angel for a long time," Stefan began.

"What's that supposed to mean," the doe-eyed girl sighed.

"Well.." Everyone went quiet, as well as the frustrated vampire who didn't know what to say. He turned to the girl that was waiting patiently for his explaination. "Why do I have to tell your sister your business?"

Angel shrugged. "I thought it was worth a shot. I didn't really feel like wasting my breath, but I suppose I have to now. I was, or am, the twin sister to all the doppelgängers."

The two other females in the room blinked, but Jeremy bounced out of his chair, shaking his head.

"Nope," he muttered, "too soon. This is crazy. Bye."

"Jeremy," Elena called after him.

"GOODBYE!"

"Wow," Angel whistled, "that was dramatic."

Elena's attention snapped back to the yawning blonde. "Now, that is impossible."

Angel scoffed. "Let me get this straight, vampires, witches, and doppelgängers can exist, but reincarnation can't? Yeah, that makes perfect fucking sense."

"Okay," Bonnie interrupted, while holding her hands up. "One supernatural issue at a time, let's get back to the tomb. Angel, you can't help Damon."

"And why is that?"

"Because he's the bad guy," Stefan spat.

"Then I guess I am too," Angel grinned, but her smile wasn't bright, it was hollow and cold, and that, combined with her declaration, made the three others in the room freeze with shock. "How about you all go to the boarding house and start planning your master scheme that will surely fail."

They looked at her in surprise.

"We all know that's what you guys are going to do."

"When are you going to open it," her sister questioned quietly.

Angel shrugged, "I can do it whenever, I guess."

"You're seriously going to go against your family for Damon." Bonnie looked at the indifferent girl in disbelief.

"Woah, woah, woah," Angel chuckled, with a shake of her head, "I'm not doing shit for anyone. You should be grateful, though, Bennett. If I wasn't opening the damn thing, then Damon would get you and your granny to."

"So?"

Angel rolled her eyes. "Yeah, your family is powerful, but you're not that powerful. You would have to get a stupid little power source to help increase your strength, and then one of you would die from the over-use of magic. You're welcome."

Bonnie stared at her in horror.

"We should go," Elena mumbled, rubbing her hand in soothing circles over her friend's back.

"Yeah," Stefan agreed, while leading the girls out of the house. Angel waved goodbye and waited until they were out the front door. She released a sigh as she clenched her tingling fists, and rushed to her hidden chess board. After setting up the pieces, she groaned when her hands unconsciously moved the three golden-eyed kings towards the queen. "Watch out, Mystic Falls," she muttered, "it seems that the Mikaelsons are coming to town."
