"Is Cavalli going to stay while the party's going on?" Taylor asked.

"Why wouldn't she?" I finished putting out the pink roses.

"I don't know, I'm just asking since there won't be any kids but it is her mother's birthday party."

I nodded my head, getting off of the counter.

Since it was Onika's birthday and she was woking, I decided to surprise her. I made her believe that I hadn't known of her birthday, that I forgot and I knew she was both angry and sad at the same time.

I had gotten all of her 'new' friends, the ones that I did not know about. I didn't want to be rude to them because of my love for Onika.

Her friends consisted of Saiyr, Meagan, Gabrielle, Kelly, and Jada. all five of them had spouses, both men and women. Saiyr's wife, Kayla was a cute little thing. Meagan's husband pissed me off just by the name, Brandon. Gabrielle's man, Dwight was more in love with her than ever. Kelly's girl, Alex was standoffish to everyone besides Kelly. Jada and Will had a real deep, old soul love.

Taylor and Joseph were the only ones that I brought. Ming came as well and although she had done nothing, I was still watching out for her.

"Is that bitch ever gonna get off of work?" Gabrielle chuckled. I knew she was joking but I wanted to tell her to watch her damn mouth.

When I heard the door opening, I swooped Cavalli up and went behind the bannister. I didn't want her to see us, she could see whoever else was in the house. I just needed her to think we weren't here nd that I forgot when I didn't.

She stepped in the house and smiled extra wide but she started looking around as well.

"Where's my daughter and Bey?" She asked.

Cavalli was about to run to her but I pulled her back. Oh my God, this little girl.

"Mommy!" She yelled.

"Oh my God." I walked out and she ran to hug me. "Did you do this?"

"Yeah, I did." I hugged her back. Cavalli was hugging both of her legs.

"How do you know all of my friends?" She asked.

"I've been planning this since MY birthday. I was at your job and Saiyr came and I knew she was your friend so I asked her who the rest of your friends were. I made sure they would all be able to come too."

"Oh wow." She picked up Cavalli then went to hug her friends.

Meagan hugged me. "So you're the one that broke my girl's heart?"

"No girl, I'm not Kaylin."

"I know exactly who you are."

"How?"

"She's my girl, obviously we talk about everything. You're Cavalli's other mom. You let Cavalli and her down sometimes but she loves you and she forgives you for some reason."

I needed to actually talk to Onika's friends 'cause for no reason in particular, they knew more about my girl's emotions than I did. All of that could wait until after the party though.

"Bey do you still not drink?" Nika asked. She had her eyebrows furrowed and a knocked out Cavalli on her hip. How the hell does that little girl fall asleep so fast?

"I don't drink and you shouldn't either but it's your birthday so you get a pass. I'll put her to sleep." I grabbed Cavalli from her and put her in her bed upstairs. I stayed there, making sure she was actually asleep.

She didn't take her medicine so her waking up was inevitable. Onika said she'd do that when her medicine wasn't in her system. She'll either be sad or angry. I didn't want to wake her up, fearing she'd be like me when Nana found out I was bipolar. I tore everything apart for no reason. I didn't know how I was feeling and I just went back to sleep after it.

Jesus I wanted to say sorry to Nana for everything right now. I hope she forgives me for it.

When Cavalli woe up, she was crying her eyes out. Sad it is. I'd already had her medicine on her nightstand. She reached out for me and I hugged her. I gave her the medicine and laid with her until she fell asleep again.

As soon as I opened the door, Onika was standing there smiling. She was about to open the door until she saw me. I could see in her eyes she was buzzed.

"What's up?"

"Is Cavalli asleep?"

"Yes she is, come on."

I closed the door behind us. Even though Onika wasn't fully drunk, she also wasn't all the way in her right mind. I didn't want Cavalli to see that.

She just looked up at me and bursted out in tears. What the hell? Is her ass bipolar too?

"Why yoy crying? It's your birthday."

"I don't want nobody but you Bey. I don't nobody that acts just like you or none of that, I want YOU."

"You got me, why you crying about that? I'mma always be here."

"Yeah but I mean, together. You always gonna be here but I don't wanna be your friend, your homie. I wanna be yours. I don't like what we doing now."

"Us together is gonna take time baby." I wiped her cheek. "It's not gonna work right now."

"I know. I know you have to get your shit together and I do too and you gotta get out. It's just a lot to deal with."

I hugged her, letting her cry.

I'mma always be Onika's, no matter what anyone says. She's the only woman that made me fall in love with her soul before giving me her body. Nobody else could do that so I held her to a higher standard.

"Come on, those niggas probably down there stealing yo shit." I joked.

She wrapped one arm around my waist. "You know that was my way of letting you in? Ms. Boe said I should at least try. That's me trying."

"I got it baby, I know."

"What you doing tomorrow?"

"Me and Valli are going to the dentist. She's getting her teeth filled in, remember?"

"I didn't know it was tomorrow."

"Why?"

"I wanted to go for lunch but you're busy and I am too."

"I could just come over tomorrow night."

"Cavalli will wanna stay up since you're here."

"Oh I get it, you wanna have sex."

"Basically."

"Sucks for you. You don't know how to be quiet. Cavalli will wake up."

She sucked her teeth. "I'm a different bitch now. I know how to be quiet."

"Yeah okay."

When we got downstairs, Will and Jada wanted to be all cuddled up and shit. Nika pretended to gag.

"That's how Cavalli got here bitch!" Meagan yelled from the other side of the room.

I chuckled. All of her friends acted just like her. Well, her friends were all different aspects of her personality. Jada was more reserved, like business Nika. Meagan was crazy, like Roman. Saiyr was fun and bubbly, like when you have Onika whatever she wanted. Gabrielle had a real tough exterior like mama bear Nika, and Kelly was just full of love. I felt like Kelly acted like me more though. I think Kelly reminded Nika of me which is she befriended her. They were all fine though.

"It's really not!"

"Part of it."

"You're loud and wrong. I don't do those such things."

Now she was lying. I don't know how but she was great at sucking dick. She was just good at it. Her mouth was like her pussy. Warm and amazing. Every part of that woman felt damn good. I won't tell these muthafuckas that though. They already know too much.

Somebody knocked on the door and I told Pretty Boy to get it. He sucked his teeth and turned to me.
