"I wish I had chose you when I was still confused." Jeon Jungkook whispered the moment he pulled away.

Your eyes flutter open. You can still feel his lips even when he's already inches away. You can still feel how soft it is. The warmth still lingers, your eyes dizzy but you still try to comprehend what he said.

What does he even mean by that? He was confused before? You shook your head, that can't be right. The moment you confessed to him, you didn't see any regret or hesitation in his eyes when he told you he's already with Lee Ara. But what does he want you to understand?

"What do you mean?" You asked, almost a whisper.

Sometimes, you'd look at his eyes and wonder why he looked so lost. And there's that look again. Like he wants to tell you everything but he will say nothing.

"Hey, what are you guys doing?" Jimin's voice echoed on the empty hall. You saw him standing from where Jungkook came, waiting for the two of you.

You glance at Jungkook who can't meet your gaze now, he bends and picks up the box of supplies.

"We should head back." He said.

And you knew from that moment, he won't say anything about that kiss. Why he did it and if he really intended to. You won't lie, you've dreamt of this. Jungkook kissing you, all magical and dreamy but you didn't expect your first kiss to be like that. To be unexpected and in an empty hall, but its not the settings or place that makes a kiss special, its the feeling and that person.

You walk together in silence, with your head spinning with thoughts. Jungkook never fails to invade your head and just bugs it over and over again until he's the only thing that you can think of.

Why Jungkook had come to you is a mystery. Yesterday, he couldn't believe in the words you said and now he came and just kiss you out of nowhere with teary eyes. Did he knew about it? About Lee Ara and Ji Ro? Does he believe now? And where did he find out? Did they break up?

The answers came crushing to you when you saw Lee Ara crying on a bench in the field when you were about to go home. She was sobbing hard and her hands were covering her face. Was she crying for Jungkook? Or for Ji Ro? You'll never know.

But everyone wasn't used to seeing an angel cry out of nowhere, the next day she was the topic of the talks. Its like an angel lost her wings but your table was silent about it. Like they don't care at all. Nobody knew about the kiss Jungkook gave you and you are afraid to ask anyone, even him, about it.

Jungkook was there in the cafeteria too, but alone in his table. He had his earphone on and a grim face. Like he didn't care for the world while everyone whispers about him and his relationship. Everyone had their own opinion with their break up, innocent ones think that its Jungkook's fault or Jungkook cheated, little do they know that it was Lee Ara who cheated. Some girls know about it and is fully aware, you can see them rolling their eyes from your seat.

Jungkook stood up and walked on the cafeteria like nothing big happened in his life, like he didn't cried for that girl. Your eyes followed him but a girl stood in front of him with her hands against her chest. Jungkook removed his earphones and waited for the girl to speak.

"I heard you and Lee Ara broke up already." She fished for some information.

Your brows furrowed. Why do they care so much with their relationship and what gives them the right to butt in their relationship? They aren't even friends, and you're pretty sure Jungkook doesn't even know the girl with his narrowed eyes. He sighed like he's so tired of this.

"Yes." His voice doesn't shake.

"Why did you broke up? Was it because someone's cheating?" She asked, now all ears. She thinks she's about to get some juicy information.

"My fault." Jungkook answered then he walks past her and through the door.

Honestly, he had every right to tell everyone that Lee Ara cheated but he didn't. And that was already a big thing. Most men, especially his case, they would tell their friends about it to ruin the girl because of their broken ego but he didn't. But to tell everyone that it was your fault that you two broke up is another thing. Owning up to your mistakes was a hard thing to do, what more if your owning up to other's mistakes?

Right then and there, you saw Jungkook as a man and not just a boy. You can't help but be amazed with him, while you're discovering every part of his personality bit by bit. And you wanted to know more of him, to know him completely.

That's why when you saw him reading a book in an isolated table, you didn't think twice before sitting infront of him. He glance up to you, he pulled of his earphones and put down his book, his eyes all on you now.

"You're not crying." You stated as you open the book you got from the shelves.

You were afraid to look at him in the eyes, like he'd know your every secret with just one look. He had that effect, though his eyes may look innocent most of the times, you can't keep up with his intense stare.

"Lee Ara's crying yesterday... the competition's just days away from now, will she be able to do good?" You bit your lip.

Why are you even talking about this? Clearly, he didn't want to talk about this in the cafeteria but you can't help it. After that kiss, you're trying to seek answers but you can't just ask him direct questions. You can't. So maybe with this, you'll find out something, just maybe.

But its true, the next season is just days away and what if Lee Ara's performance get affected by this? The whole team might blame her. They've come so far and to fail now is shameful.

"Why? She didn't broke up with her boyfriend." He said, staring directly at you.

"What? But you confirmed that you two already broke up?" Your brows furrowed in confusion.

"I'm not her boyfriend now but Son Ji Ro is. We broke up but she's still in a relationship with someone and that's not me." He said, raising a brow.

"You're not going to chase her?" You asked because he always did, he can't change just like that.

"No. How can I chase someone who lied to me?" Hurt flash in his eyes but quickly disappeared that you doubt you even saw it.

"Aren't you hurt?" You probe some more.

"If it was a normal break up, I'd hurt but to hurt for a betrayal is something I will never do. You will never see me cry because of that, Y/n..." he trailed off.

To lose someone you love is painful, Jeon Jungkook lost his someone before, that's why he cried but now he doesn't address her as his someone but a betrayal. Their relationship got tainted, and yes, you'd hurt for him too if he's hurting but you can see now that it doesn't affect him much.

If everyone thinks that Jeon Jungkook is lucky to have Lee Ara, Jeon Jungkook is a big lost to Lee Ara now that they broke up. Anyone would be lucky if they become Jeon Jungkook's girlfriend. He's honorable, passionate and he knows how to treat a girl. He must know that a lot of girls like him and he must think that Lee Ara's not a big lost.

Maybe that's why his ego isn't completely crushed. Maybe that's why he's not affected that much.

But he's not happy about it either. He just simply doesn't care. And you'll wait for him to smile again, to flash that boyish smile again at you. To see his eyes twinkling again, to see the sides of it wrinkly.

But thinking about how he feels keep you up at night. Somehow that made you realize that Jeon Jungkook is such a mystery to you. You don't know his feelings and you don't know what's going on with his life. He rarely explain his side too. It's like he's not an open book with his secrets kept in a locked chest, not like most boys.

And you'd dream about him opening up to you. Telling every piece of his mind to you. You believe that you should get every piece of his mind before the every piece of his heart. That's why when he messaged you that night, you can't help but inhale deeply.

You bit your lip. You thought you'll never get an apology from him.

I knew you wouldn't believe me because I came to you without any proof.

His reaction was understandable. He didn't want their relationship to be ruined and destroyed but now, his eyes are wide open and I'm proud of him for not staying in a relationship that abuses him and his kindness.

You bit your lip as you remember that one time, where you ate outside for dinner. It was such a sweet memory, one that you will carry in your heart.

So the next day, you were looking forward for lunch that even Wendy noticed it. She commented how bright you are that day and how you seemed so energetic and the only thing you could give her was a wide smile.

"It's nothing." You said.

It was like you were set on fire the moment the bell rang for the lunch break, you come running out of your room and goes to the locker room where he waited. You saw him leaning against a locker, playing with his phone.

You took a deep breath and when he glance up to you its like seeing him for the first time again. Like brand new and immaculately handsome. There's that same eyes that you fell in love with. How it lost you in it and how you found yourself again through it.

"You're fast." He said as he stood straight.

"I was afraid you'd wait too long for me." You said softly.

Its like the curtains of blank eyes has been swept with your words as you see his eyes soften. Like a light of emotion flash through after the darker days. Jeon Jungkook softened. You smiled and you saw how his lips got tugged into a soft smile.

He fished for something in the pocket of his jeans and when he pulled out his hand from it, a key dangled on his finger.

"You ready?" He smirked.

"You got a car?" You asked slowly as you remember the days he'd walk to the bus stop with you.

"It's a gift from Mom." He said as you both walk out of your building.

But you didn't expect to see Lee Ara on one of the benches you have to pass by to get to the parking lot. Her eyes were swollen and bloodshot, she looked miserable. Like Jungkook was the one who cheated on their relationship.

You grab Jungkook's arm. He halted and looked at you on his side. "Lee Ara's there." You said as you watch the girl sitting alone.

"And?" He raised his brow at you.

"And I think she's waiting for you. Maybe...you should go talk to her." You bit your lip. Is this right? Is sending him away right? If this is your chance now, are you just wasting everything?

But what if this is the only way to finally end it? To end everything between them. To find closure.

"And what about you? I already set this day for you so I'd rather not talk to her or about her." Your lips agape when your felt his hand held yours. "Please, let's not talk about this."

And once again, you just wanted to gamble in his game. To see if this time, you're going to win. If this time you'll succeed. If this time is finally yours. So you nodded and continued to walk with him.

You were about to pass by Lee Ara but she stood up and blocked Jungkook's way. "Can we talk?" Her voice was about to crack.

You felt Jungkook's hand tighten on yours. You shouldn't feel any pity on Lee Ara because she's the true villain here but seeing her like this, swollen eyes and weak, you can't help but let Jungkook's hand go.

You saw how his eyes widen and how fast he looked at you. His hand were searching for yours but you hid it in your pocket. She's already there, he just have to face it.

"Go talk to her." Your voice was almost a whisper as you look down on your feet.

You heard his heavy breath, like he's finally accepting defeat. "Talk." His voice was stern and he doesn't look at Lee Ara.

"Can we...go somewhere private?" Lee Ara said as look at you.

She's right, you shouldn't be here since they need to talk about their relationship. You step away from them ready to leave.

"No, say it in front of her. Tell me what you have to say in front of her." You froze on your spot as you see Jungkook's glare.

The anger that's been hiding has been unleashed in his eyes. But why are you doing this, Jeon Jungkook? Why do you want me to hear everything she'll say?

Lee Ara looked so defeated but you can see irritation rising in her eyes. "What are you doing, Jungkook? I'm trying to fix us. I know I did you wrong-" her voice was rising but Jungkook immediately cut her off.

"You can't fix something that has been broken the moment you tricked me!" Jeon Jungkook's voice was like thunder. "I...I chased after you like an idiot."

He suddenly sounds so weak.

"I know. I'm sorry...I'm sorry." Tears flowed down her cheeks as her voice became weak too. "Please, I'll fix us. Let's get back together, hmm?" She reached for his hand and held it on her face.

Jungkook shook his head the same time he pulled his hand from her grip. "I'll take all the blame, just... just be happy." He said as he took your wrist and pulled you away from Lee Ara who was left alone, shoulder shaking from crying.

He stopped beside on a black trailblazer, he opened the shotgun seat and waited for you to go inside. You looked at him, you wanted to praise his car but everything just became so heavy the moment Lee Ara stood in front of him.

His eyes were blank again. He saw you looking at him then he smiled lightly. "Go in. I'm fine, Y/n. You don't have to worry." He said as he rub your hair.

You swallowed as you sit on the shotgun. "Are you sure you want to continue this? We can just eat inside the school." You suggested.

"And hear people whisper everything over and over again?" He smirked as he held the door and his other hand on the headrest of your seat.

"I still get sick of everything too, you know." He chuckled.

You gaze at him with worried eyes. You feel like he's just masking his true feelings and you don't want that, as much as possible you want him to be real to you. To show you what he really feels.

"Then take me somewhere far, somewhere you never brought her to." You smiled.

That was the only way you could think of you to ease everything he's feeling.

"You sure?" He asked as he tilted your chin up.

Your smile became bigger. "Yes."

"Okay then, Miss." He smiled then he closed your door, jogging to the other side and getting in, ready for the drive.

He brought you to a five star hotel and ate in their restaurant. You sat just beside the glass wall, you can see the tall buildings from here and the sophisticated people passing by. Everyone here looked so professional.

"You'll be senior soon, do you have a university in mind?" He asked as he glance outside.

You smiled then shook your head, "but I've been eyeing on a university abroad, its just that I don't see a reason to leave."

"You want to pursue your dreams somewhere else?" He raised his brow.

"Maybe. But I still have time to find myself a good university I could enter here." You grinned.

"If ever you'll go abroad for your career, you'd still come back here right?" You saw how serious he was while you tilted your head.

"Of course, Jeon Jungkook, I'd always come back here, this is my home after all."

"I'm about to graduate at the end of the school year, I'll be in college. We won't see each other much when that time comes." He said.

You nodded. You swallowed hard, he was right that's why you wanted so badly to ask him where he'll study so you can maybe visit him some time.

"When do you want to get married?" He asked so abruptly that you found yourself blinking.

You blush as you laugh awkwardly, "I'm still young to think about that, Jeon Jungkook."

"That's good. But you'll be here when you're ready enough?" He asked.

You think for a second before nodding, "Yeah, I'd like to marry here. By then, I'd like to marry an honorable and passionate man."

He nodded. "I'll be living here since the university's just near here." He said, cracking a small smile. "I just brought a condominium just around this area. Can you come with me this weekend to see it?" He smiled.

For a moment, it feels like Lee Ara didn't happen. Like he didn't get in to a relationship and ended it just days ago. Like he's still the man you liked, never once linked to a girl.

"Sure. I'll save my weekend for you, then." You smiled back.

The thing about Jeon Jungkook is, he doesn't have to use flowery words or extravagant things nor cliche things to make your heart flutter, its just simple smiles and glances that make everything feel so magical.

You found his eyes wanting to ask a question but its like he's afraid or doubting something so you ask him, "What is it?"

You saw how his eyes light up, like he finally found a light in the dark. "Do you... still feel the same for me?" He asked.

You swallowed hard as you avoid his gaze. His question was so suddenly that you felt so awkward. Does he really have to ask you that? Can't he see how you look at him?

"Why? Does it matter now?" You smiled to act cool even though you're waiting for him to actually say yes.

"Yes. Because I don't want you to think that I'm abusing your feelings for me." He said.

And for the first time, you felt unafraid of everything. Like you're ready to face everything he has to say.

"Well, are you?" You raised your brows.

He smirked. "No but I believe that you go when you're ready enough to go." He said like he means something more.
