"Ok..." Jake sighed, sitting down next to Y/n in front of the window "Two days left, and the steakout is over... finally..."

Y/n, completely ignoring him, continued looking at the apartment in front of her, taking pictures of the perps.

"Oh, come on! Still mad at me?!" he exclaimed "I said I'm sorry! How long are you going on with this silence treatment?"

"As long as we're here"

"Gotcha! You talked!"

She rolled her eyes, as he chuckled like a kid, and took her phone, looking at it for a moment.

"Listen... I know you had plans for the weekend, and it's just my fault that you're here too, but we can't do anything about it! We're already here, so... why don't we just try to enjoy this last couple of days?" He said, softly.

"...Yeah, I guess you're right..." she sighed, leaning back on her chair.

In fact, they were there just because of Jake, just as he said.

He had lost the perp while chasing him, disobbeying Holt's orders to wait for more evidence, and the captain had decided to punish him, and had sent him on this steakout, choosing y/n as his partner.

So yeah, she was pretty angry.

"...I'm sorry I got mad at you, I'm just very stressed lately..." she apologized.

"No, no, you're right to be! You have been working really hard, you deserved those days off..."

They softly smiled at each other, and y/n blushed, looking away

"You can have a couple more days the next time, if you want... I can give you mine..."

"What? No, no... I can't..."

"Why not?! I mean, you're here because of me, that's the least I can do to pay you back!"

"Yeah, but you deserve a break too! You've been on this case for almost two months, you need to relax! I can't..."

"Ok" he shrugged "It was just an idea"

A weird silence fell on the room.
The two detectives, not knowing what else to say, went back at looking at the perps in the apartment in front of them.

Then Jake made the first step.

"Ehy, so... listen..." he said, scratching his neck "...I was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date, as this is over..."

"A-a date?" she said, shocked.

"...I mean, if you want to..."

"Oh... Y-yeah, sure!... it would be really nice..." she smiled, making him blush hard.

"O-ok, great! Ehm..."

He really wasn't expecting that kind of answer, and it left him really embarrassed, because he now had nothing else to say, and didn't know how to change the subject.

He didn't want to say anything that could've made her change her mind, and he was very sure he would've soon.

Suddently, the alarm on his phone rang, saving the both of them from that ankward situation.

"Oh, it's my turn... well, see you in eight hours!" he added, quickly getting up from the chair and lying down on the king sized bed in the middle of the room.

Luckily, he fell asleep almost immediately.

She giggled a little, seeing how flustered he was, and stared at him for a moment, smiling softly, as she watched him sleep.

He looked so cute.

The alarm rang, waking her up from her trance.

Jake's eight hours had ended, meaning it was her time to sleep now.
She wasn't feeling very sleepy, tho.

She gazed at him, admiring his beautiful body, as he got up from the bed, and quickly looked away, hoping he hadn't seen her.

"What time is it?" he said, still half-asleep, rubbing his eyes, as he sat down on his chair.

"Midnight"

"...Aren't you going to sleep?" he asked, seeing she wasn't getting up.

"No, I'll stay... the more we are, the better..."

"Well, they're leaving the apartment right now, just as planned, there's no need of you sacrificing your shift... I mean, not that I don't want you to keep me company" he stuttered, embarassed "...It's just that you can sleep, if you want..."

"I don't think I will anyway, I'm not really good at it..." she sighed "so..."

They stayed in silence for a bit.
Then, Jake smirked.

"What is it?"

"What?" he said, waking up from his trance.

"Why are you smiling?"

"Oh... well, I was thinking about how you were staring at me"

"Staring at you?"

"Yeah, when I was waking up. I saw you" he said, with a cheeky grin on his face.

Y/n blushed hard, and looked away.

"Can I ask you something?" Jake continued.

"Y-yeah..."

"...Do you like me?"

She froze.
What kind of question was that?
Of course she liked him! It was obvious! Everybody at the nine nine knew that!
Excpet for him, I guess...

She took a deep breath, and nodded, closing her eyes. Why was he so intrested in that, all of a sudden?

"Yeah, I do... but I'd understand, if you didn't, I-I mean..."

He widely smiled, and slowly got closer, resting his lips on hers, as he caressed her cheek with his hand.

She melted under his touch, feeling butterflies fly inside her stomach.
She had never felt so alive.

They pulled away, and Jake softly chuckled, seeing her eyes still shut.

As she opened them, she blushed again, finding him staring at her with his deep caramel ones.

"...I like you too, y/n... a lot..." he softly said.

They got closer again, and kissed once more. She giggled, feeling a smile appear on his soft, minty lips.

Their breaths got in sync, and the world around them seemed to disappear, dimming in the soft lights of the room.

Suddently, it turned into something more.

He put his other hand on her hip, and gently pulled her towards him, making her get up from her chair and sit down in his lap.

She smirked, and wrapped her arms around his neck, starting to play with his hair.

As she did so, Jake bit her lower lip, making her gasp, and slid his tongue into her mouth, carefully exploring every corner of her palate.

She tightened the grip, erasing the little space between them, and softly moaned, as she felt his hands move down and squeeze her ass.

She quickly unzipped his hoodie, and took it off of him, making it fall beside them on the floor.

He slightly blushed, as her hands roamed on his chest, and felt his desire grow, especially down there.

"Sorry, I can't control it" he panted, embarrassed.

"Don't worry, I really don't mind" she smirked.

He slid his fingers under her shirt, and slowly lifted it, making her shiver, as his cold skin caressed hers.

She helped him, taking it off, and smashed her lips on his again, as she threw it across the room.

He put his hands on her hips again, and grinned, as she stood up and pulled him towards her, grabbing him by the shirt.

Without interrupting the kiss, they walked across the room, arriving to the bed, and Jake gently pushed her, making her sit down.

He strongly held the back of her neck, lifting her head to keep their lips together, since he was still on his feet, and felt her grin, as she quickly started unbottoning his shirt.

He took it off, and y/n lied down, smirking, as she admired his bare body, biting her lower lip.

He quickly followed her, getting on the bed and on top of her, and kissed her again.

She softly moaned, as he tightened the grip around her hips, and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him even closer than before.

He moved from her lips, and started pecking and sucking her neck, making her roll her head back in bliss.

She closed her eyes, shivering, as she felt his warmth on her skin, and gasped, feeling his teeth grab it for a second.

"...Are you sure we're not messing up the case?" she panted.

"Fuck the case, I don't care" he whispered, gently moving up and licking her earlobe.

"Jake, we-

"Shhh" he said, sucking her neck harder "...Don't worry about it"

He put his hand on her lower back, and lifted her up, making her moan, as their hips brushed against each other's, pleasuring the both of them.

Her legs felt impatient, even though it was probably a bad idea.

They were working, and might be messing things up, but that night, neither of them were worried about it.

The only thing they cared about, was that they were finally together.

"Jake..." she softly moaned, as her nails sank in his shoulders "...we shouldn't be doing this..."

"Do you want me to stop?" He panted, looking worried in her eyes.

She thought about it for a moment, breathing heavily. Then she smirked, staring into his eyes.

"No"
