"So... How's Kacchan and Kirishima?" Midoriya began, innocently. He stirred his hot drink with a teaspoon, tipping in a little more sugar.
"Well. Bakugou's a little on edge now we've been added on your case but he's enjoying it really. And Kirishima's been rising up the ranks pretty quickly, I'm proud that he-"
Todoroki hesitated, Midoriya was looking at him with a suspiciously warm smile. The sound of clinking crockery and muffled voices filled the second of silence.
"Sorry, Shouto. You just seem different lately. Your relationship must be going well." Midoriya waved off Todoroki's concern, grinning.

He relaxed his hands around his hot cup, cooling it a little with his quirk.
"I suppose a lot has changed." He mumbled, glancing down at the swirling liquid. It was becoming rare to be able to sit in the public without being talked to by strangers. His appearance was unfortunately very noticeable along with his rather large gains in popularity recently. Thankfully, they were tucked away in the corner of the building, hidden from the bustle of the public.

"How are you and Ochako?"
Todoroki predicted the blush that rapidly bloomed on the other's face.
"Ah- well... You see-"

Izuku and Ochako started dating just before the third year of UA. It was actually the reason Todoroki started branching off to hang out with Bakugou and Kirishima more. At the time, he barely realised how much of his life revolved around Midoriya.
The two broke up once Midoriya went to America. He thought the two of them could've handled a long distance relationship, however Izuku became so busy in America that Shouto quickly understood.

"We've been hanging out again. I think- I think we're just taking it slow for now," Izuku mumbled.
He hummed in reply, mouth twitching up at the other's nervousness. Although, it immediately fell back down again when a hint of something negative flicked across his face.
"It's just, I'm not su-"

An aggressively loud yell interrupted the moment. Both Pro-Heroes jerked their heads towards the direction of the noise.
Todoroki turned back to Midoriya. Silently they exchanged a quick confirmation, lifting out of their seats and into the direction of the commotion.

As they walked out of the cafe and into the street, they were met with three civilians.A few passers-by had stopped to watch them.

"What the fuck?! That's my boyfriend you bitch!"
"I didn't mean to! I-I don't know what came over me!"

"Hey! Everything okay?" Deku stepped in, falling into his Pro-Hero persona. Two women were just outside of the cafe entrance with a very awkward looking man next to the angrier of the two.
"This bitch just kissed my boyfriend! Right infront of me!" The woman flicked her blonde hair dramatically, red painted lips snapped downwards in disgust.
"I really didn't mean to! It just happened!" The other woman cried out, looking genuinely ashamed.
"Well-" Again, Deku tried to diffuse the situation, only to be interrupted by the blonde.
"What do you mean you didn't mean to?! That doesn't even make sense!"
Todoroki tried to control his expression into neutrality. He hated dealing with cases like this.
"I swear-"
He almost felt sorry for wailing woman who was barely keeping herself from bursting into tears.
"I don't fucking care! Stay away from my boyfriend!"

"Babe, come on let's just go..." The boyfriend finally spoke up, eyeing the two Pro-Heroes nervously.
"Ugh, fine!" The woman huffed before storming off, boyfriend anxiously trailing behind her. The other women scampered off too, obviously too embarrassed to stay any longer.

In her rush, she managed to shoulder into Izuku, who barely managed to catch her before she fell.
"Oops! You okay?" Midoriya said, ignored as the woman snapped out of his grasp and briskly stumbled away.

"Are you okay, Izuku?" Todoroki said, instinctually.
"Oh yes I-" Midoriya paused mid-sentence, abruptly turning to stare straight at him.
"Izuku?" He questioned, slightly unnerved by the unfamiliar glazed look in the other's eyes.
"I- um- yeah..." The other mumbled distracted, eyes then zoned to his lips.

Todoroki frowned.

"Do I have something on my face?" He asked, confused.
"Um, haah..." Midoriya groaned and lowered his head into his palm, beginning to look increasingly not okay. The Pro-Hero stumbled a little to the side as if he was dizzy.
"... Izuku?" Todoroki tried again, stepping closer to place his hand on the other's shoulder, shaking him lightly.
"I feel weird..." Izuku whispered airily, head tipped so that he couldn't see his expression.
Additionally, Todoroki tried to ignore the now louder bustle of the public around them, it wasn't uncommon that two Pro-Heroes together would attract a crowd.
They needed to get out of here.

"Do you need to go to the hospital?"
"No - I think I'm..." Izuku trailed off as he lifted his head, the two locking eyes. He looked a little flushed and dazed.
Were Izuku's eyes always that dark of a green or was it the lighting?
He was glaring at Todoroki's lips, again.

"What-" Shouto was quickly cut off when out of nowhere he was shoved backwards, butt painfully meeting the hard pavement. Normally he would have been able to catch himself, but he wasn't expecting Izuku of all people to handle him so roughly.

The next events passed in a distressing blur.
Out of nowhere, Izuku dropped into his lap, leaning too far into his personal space. He shoved at the other's shoulder but it powered forward.
Before he could even think - lips smashed against his own.

Izuku was kissing him.
Izuku was kissing him?
Todoroki's eyes were shockingly wide, confused and exponentially uncomfortable.

Using all of his strength, he kicked and punched into Izuku's sides and legs, trying to escape.

What was Izuku thinking?

The solid body didn't move an inch.
"Sto-mph?!" His wrists were forcefully grabbed and pinned to the ground - his body yanked back so hard his head collided against the cold concrete. Stars danced across his vision almost mockingly.
When had Izuku gotten so strong?
His blood pumped loudly in his ears. The realisation was starting to hit.

Trapped.

Restrained.

Immobile.

Increasingly nauseous.

He didn't want this!

He snapped his head to the side, breaking the kiss. Izuku barely reacted, tilting his head to follow Todoroki's movement.
"Izuku! Stop!" He shouted, even more confused and disorientated. He really didn't want to have to use his quirk. This was Izuku - his friend.
Right?

Thankfully, people had finally started to realise what was actually going on - rushing to help pull Midoriya off of him. It took a startlingly large amount of people to pry their bodies apart.

He attempted to control himself but for some reason his hands couldn't stop trembling.
