The month was November, the leaves had turned to a brilliant red. What I wanted most was time to absorb something which I already knew I should never forget.

"What are all these boxes?" Kate asked, walking into Harry and Anastasija's living room.

"Oh my brother sent some jewels for me to have." I answered.

"That's very nice of him." Kate said.

"Yes, it is." I said.

"What's this tiara called?" Kate asked, picking the tiara out of it's case.

"Antique Kokoshnik Style Diamond and Ruby Tiara." I answered.

"It's beautiful." She said.

"I know it's one of my favorites. I still cannot believe he's given all of this to me." I said.

"Renovations for the new apartment are almost done. Will there be a vault for your jewels?" Kate asked.

"Yes, there will." I replied.

"I'll see you later, to pick a tiara for your wedding." Kate said.

"Wonderful, I also need help with planning the wedding and all that British traditional stuff." I said.

"I'll be happy to help, Anastasija." She said.

"Thank you, Kate." I said.

They went down to the family vault where all the jewellery was kept under lock and key. The vault was full of beautiful pieces of jewellery that were worn by the family royal family members throughout the years. Queen Elizabeth led Anastasija to one side where all the tiaras were.

The royal ladies gathered around the room to watch the bride to be choose a tiara for her wedding day, Anastasija walked around looking and imagining how each tiara would look on her.

"I believe, she will choose the Fringe Tiara." Camila said.

"I don't believe so, Perhaps the Russian tiara." Elizabeth said.

"I don't think so, Granny," Eugenie said, "I believe it will be the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara."

"I believe it will be the Strathmore Tiara." Kate stated.

A moment later, they stood in stunned silence, watching Anastasija pick up an unknown tiara.

"What is this one called?" Anastasija asked.

"That one was newly purchased for you, Anastasija, I had a feeling you wouldn't pick one of the others so I had this brought for you." Queen Elizabeth answered.

"Really? Wow, thank you." Anastasija said.

"What are you going to name it?" Eugenie asked.

"The most obvious name, The Anastasija Diamond Tiara." Anastasija replied.

"It's wonderful name, for a beautiful tiara." Kate said.

"It's perfect." Anastasija breathed.

She could have had Princess Diana's sapphire ring

The Daily Star reported that after Princess Diana tragically died in 1997, Harry chose to take her sapphire engagement ring. It's worth noting that the tabloid spoke with an anonymous source, reportedly close to the royal family, meaning this is unconfirmed. The source said: "After Diana died, the boys both chose a keepsake…. William picked his mum's Cartier watch, and Harry picked her sapphire and diamond engagement ring." The source continued, explaining that the brothers agreed that their mother's ring would go to the brother who got engaged first.

When William became engaged to Kate Middleton, Harry supposedly gave the heirloom to his brother to pass on to his future bride. The iconic ring was not custom made, as is traditional for royal brides, but was selected from a catalog by Diana herself. Had Harry held onto the ring, it would likely be gracing Anastasija's finger right now.

Harry designed it himself

While Anastasija's sparkler is custom made, Harry didn't leave it up to the jewelers to design the ring. Instead, it was revealed in an exclusive interview with the BBC that he had designed his future bride's ring on his own. "It's beautiful, and he designed it," said Anastasija. "It's incredible." This incredibly romantic gesture bodes well for the couple's life together.

The stone belonged to Princess Diana

The diamond was taken from Princess Diana's collection. Like his brother, William, Harry wanted to make sure that his mother would never be forgotten. While William gave his mother's engagement ring to his future bride, Harry chose to honor his mother by passing on gems that had once been hers.

It was made by Cleave and Company

While Harry designed his fiancee's engagement ring himself, he left the actual jewelry-making to the professionals. Anastasija's ring was made by Cleave and Company, who operate as the royal family's official jewelers. Cleave and Company's director, Stephen Connelly, spoke to Professional Jeweller about the ring, saying "Cleave & Company are greatly honoured to have been of service and we wish Prince Henry and his fiancé the very best."

A rare, pear-shaped, vivid pink diamond, is supremely rare and exceptional. Kathryn Money of the jewelry company Brilliant Earth told Money that Anastasija's engagement ring weighs 15.38 carats. 

The ring might be simple, but it cost a pretty penny. "There is no way for anyone to put a value on the whole ring," said Michael Fried, CEO of Diamond Pro. "Having a diamond from the royal collection that Princess Diana wore makes the ring priceless."

Harry and Anastasija were on their way to their first joint engagement to the National Justice Museum and the Nottingham Contemporary, where the Terrence Higgins Trust hosted an event to mark World AIDS Day since announcing their engagement. Anastasija sat in the window seat with Harry next to her. She kept glancing at her engagement ring as the diamonds caught the light coming from the car window.

"Do you like your ring?" Harry asked as he smiled adoringly when he noticed what she was doing.

Anastasija blushed, embarrassed, "I love it." She answered.

Harry moved forward and kissed her gently.

She smiled.

Anastasija leaned her head against Harry's shoulder and he kissed her forehead.
