"Too much icing." Ana whispers to herself as she focuses on icing the cake in front of her like the woman on her iPad.

Adonis rounds the corner and leans against the threshold of the kitchen watching her in awe.

"What you baking that big ass cake for?"

"Us. I just need something to keep my mind off this nagging pain I have in my back." Ana admits.

"You still hurting?" He ask weigh a raised brow.

Ana nod slowly. For the past few days she had been keeping the pain under wraps since the last time she was in pain like this it was a false alarm and not real labor.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you worrying and it's nothing. When I'm in real pain I'll let you know until then just relax and taste this cake for me."

Adonis sighs as Ana cuts him a slice of the chocolate cake she had just prepared. She places the fork next to his lips and he turns his head like a toddler refusing to eat.

"Really Don? Stop being childish and eat the cake."

"Nah, you might be tryna finally take a nigga out. You eat it first."

Ana lets out a loud laugh and shakes her head.

"Adonis, this is not the way I'm gonna take you out. Trust me."

Adonis's eyes widen and he licks over his bottom lip not letting his eyes leave her as she eats a piece of the cake.

"See! Now try it, I want your opinion." Ana whines.

"How you plan on taking me out?" Adonis ask while finally taking a bite of the cake.

"If I tell you, it won't be any fun." Ana shrugs.

Adonis chuckles and shakes his head. He knew Ana would never have the guts to kill him. No matter what he did to her or how bad he treated her he knew she was in love with him and wouldn't do anything to really harm him.

"Yeah right. You love me girl, you would never." Adonis whispers into her ear while placing the now empty plate down on the counter.

Ana turns around and wraps her arms around his neck while looking into his eyes.

"That's exactly what I want you to think."

They both share a laugh together and Adonis captures her soft lips with his. His tatted hands hold her waist tightly and he rocks her back and forth as they make out like horny teenagers in their kitchen.

"I love you." Adonis mumbles as he pops her bottom lip free from his.

Ana blushes and holds him close.

"I love you too."

A wide smile spreads across his face showcasing his dimples and pearly white teeth. he wouldn't say it out loud but he was excited to meet their son and be a happy family with the woman he was literally obsessed with.

"Come on lets enjoy one of our last nights of full rest." He says which causes Ana to giggle.

She grabs his hand and follows behind him into their bedroom.

Ana rolls over in bed feeling the pain radiate from her back to her abdomen. She whines lowly and sits up in bed. Taking deep breathes she rubs her belly as the pain intesisfies. A few moments pass and the pain subsides only for a wetness to fill her shorts and the sheets below.

"Oh fuck..." she mumbles to herself.

Ana pushes Adonis who was sleeping peacefully on his side. He mumbles something and turns around with his back toward her.

"Adonis! Wake up!!" She shouts feeling the pain coming back.

Adonis sits up in bed with his brows furrowed as he looked over Ana and the wet spot in their bed.

"You peed?"

"No stupid! My water broke help me!" Ana says.

Adonis nods and grabs his phone from the nightstand to call up the doctor he had been paying to help Ana throughout her pregnancy without having to take her to a hospital. Ana slides out of bed to change out of her wet bottoms but finds herself sitting on the floor of their walk in closet with a sweaty face. The pain was becoming a little too much for her handle.
Adonis comes in the closet and kneels down in front of her.

"He's on his way baby. Just keep calm." He whispers as she grips his hand in hers.

"Call my sister." She manages to speak through gritted teeth.

Adonis shakes his head not wanting to deal with Aaliyah and her smart mouth while his son was being brought into the world.

"Adonis please. Do this one thing for me, I really need her here right now." Ana speaks as tears roll down her red cheeks.

Adonis sighs ultimately giving in since he couldn't handle looking at her in so much pain. minutes tick by feeling like hours and finally her doctor enters the closet helping her off the floor and into the tub where she could relax and have a natural water birth. Taking deep breaths Ana turns on her side and looks up at Adonis who actually looked scared for the first time in his life.

"Ready?" Her doctor ask.

"I'm ready." Ana responds.

"He's so cute. Let me hold him again." Aaliyah speaks to Adonis who was holding Ayden close to his chest.

He hands the baby over to Aaliyah who rocks him back and forth and plays with his little fingers. Anastassia was able to give birth quickly and smoothly with the help of her doctor and even her husband. Adonis sits next to Ana who was sitting up in bed and kissed her forehead.

"You did so good baby. I'm proud of you." He whispers in her ear.

Ana smiles and looks up at his face.

"Thank you. It wasn't as easy as it looked."

Adonis chuckles and looks around the room actually enjoying the company of Aaliyah and Rayn along with his wife at the moment. Things were coming together and he felt it would be smooth sailing from here on out.

2 months

(Yes another time jump cause we gotta get back to the drama.)

"How's everything been going since you gave birth?" Aaliyah ask while holding the baby close to her.

"Fine. Adonis and I haven't had any issues and he's really helpful with Ayden especially at night."

Aaliyah nods not completely convinced that what her sister was telling her was the truth. She hadn't failed to notice the few bruises on her legs and her wrist that Ana would brush off as nothing. She knew that now was the time to bring up her idea.

"So... I wanna talk about you getting away from here Anastassia."

Ana looks up at Aaliyah and rolls her eyes. She was tired of having this conversation with her. As of right now she had no intention on leaving Adonis.

"Aaliyah... I don't wanna talk about this right now. Adonis will be home soon and..."

"Will he be home soon though Ana? Today they're giving him his verdict, are you sure he's not going to jail?" Aaliyah ask as she places Ayden into his swing to sleep peacefully.

"Dont be negative."

"I'm not being negative, I'm being realistic. Have you thought about what you're going to do if he doesn't come back home tonight? Where you're gonna go? How you and Ayden are gonna survive?"

Ana bites into the inside of her cheek realizing she had put so much faith into Adonis beating this case that she hadn't even considered what would happen if he were locked up.

"I-I didn't think..."

"Right Ana. You never think about the bad."

Aaliyah sits down next to Ana on the couch and grabs her small hand in hers. The two make eye contact and Aaliyah speaks again.

"Listen... mommy and I have been putting things together to get you out of here even if he does happen to come back home tonight. Our plan is simple and we can almost guarantee that Adonis will not find you this time."

"How can you guarantee that?" Ana ask in a whisper.

"A few name changes and a quick country change. The details aren't important. I just need for you to trust me, your flesh and blood as much as you trust Adonis."

Ana sighs lowly and looks away from her sister for the first time since the two of them began to talk. She knew she would never feel safe even in a different country. Aaliyah didn't know Adonis like she did he had connections everywhere. But, she did have to think about what's best for Ayden now and not just about what she wanted and felt was best for her.

"You don't have to answer right now. Take this." She says while handing Ana a small prepaid flip phone.
"Me and mommy's phone numbers are on speed dial, call me if and when you're ready and we will get you outta here."

Ana takes the phone and nods now torn between what she wanted to do.

"Promise me if he puts his hands on you again you'll call."

"I promise."
