"Ana? Wake up." Rayn whispers into Anastassia's ear.

Ana rolls over and squints while holding on to the side of her still aching face. Groaning lowly she rolls her eyes before pulling the covers over her head. She didn't want to speak to anyone right now, especially not Rayn who was making it a habit of showing up at her home uninvited and unannounced lately.

"Dont be like that. Come on I wanna take you out, you've been cooped up in the house for the past three days. You and Adonis must have gotten into a fight huh?" Rayn questions while taking a seat on the bed next to where Ana was laying.

"A fight? Can you call it that when only one person is swinging?" Ana mumbles.

"I know it seems like a lot right now but this isn't the first time the two of you have gotten into it like this."

"Rayn... could you do me a favor?" Ana ask from under the covers.

"Of course! Anything."

"Could you get the fuck out and leave me alone? Thanks."

The smile falls from Rayn's face and she lets out a low sigh. Standing from the bed she grabs her purse and heads for the door. She stops in the doorway and speaks again.

"You've always been moody after it happens. You'll come around and I'll be here for you like I was before." Rayn speaks before leaving Ana alone in the large bedroom.

Ana listens for the front door to open and shut signaling that Rayn was indeed gone before sitting up in bed. She lets out a deep sigh and wipes away the tears that were beginning to fall from her eyes.

"How had I ever tolerated this?" Ana whispers to herself.

Three days had passed since Adonis had shown Ana who he really was and it was obvious that she wasn't a fan of it. Adonis had been showering her with love and gifts while acting fairly normal. Ana could appreciate his efforts but she wasn't going to forgive him.

Slowly she climbs out of bed and heads into the bathroom to shower and change clothes. Ana walks into the kitchen and is actually relieved that Adonis had been working more lately giving her the alone time she needed. She helps herself to a bowl of cereal and flips through the channels on the tv. Hearing the front door open and shut again she sighs and rolls her hazel colored eyes.

"Adonis wants me to get you out of this house. So, I am not leaving again without you." Rayn speaks from behind her.

"I don't give two shits what Adonis wants." Ana mocks.

Rayn sighs and sits down next to her on the couch. Rayn looks at the side of her bruised eye, she had always known from the start of their relationship the things Adonis would do to Ana. He had done these same things to some of his other girlfriends, eventually growing bored with them and letting them leave.

But that day never came for Anastassia, and Rayn knew the day they got married that day would never come.

"Please Ana. You know how he is... I don't wanna hear his mouth and I don't want him lashing out on you because you didn't do what he asked." Rayn pleads.

"How long?"

"How long what?"

"How long have you known he's been doing these things to me?" Ana ask not bothering to look over in her direction as she spoke.

"I've known since about six months into your relationship with him." Rayn admits.

"Why didn't you ever try to stop him or help me? You claim we were best friends but you sat by while I was getting my ass beat by my husband."

"Ana, Adonis is not someone who will listen to me. I always tried to get him to stop and see what he was doing to you was wrong. Sometimes he would agree and say he would stop but it wouldn't be long before he was hitting you again. I only tried to be that person who you could confide in because I knew you weren't telling anyone else."

Anastassia turns to face her before speaking again.

"Answer this question again... tell me the truth and I'll go with you so neither of us will have to deal with him."

"Okay..."

"Did he put me in the hospital?"

Rayn sighs and bites into her bottom lip. When everything had happened she had promised Adonis she wouldn't speak about the incident to Ana. Being his twin sister she wanted to keep her word to him.

But, she felt that Ana deserved to know the truth.

"Yes. It was Adonis."

"What did he do to me?"

"I don't know the details. He called me in a panic telling me you were unconscious in the shower bleeding out bad. He said he lost control and everything turned black while hitting you."

"Why did he do it? Could you at least answer that?"

"You were threatening to leave him because you had found out that he was sleeping with his ex occasionally. He said he knew you were really leaving this time and he couldn't have that."

Ana chuckles darkly and nods. It was clear to her now that Adonis wasn't a man she ever wanted to be with. She was going to get the fuck outta here one way or another.

"Alright. Thanks for being honest, I'll get dressed and we can head out." Ana responds.

Opening the front door to the condo with shopping bags in tow Ana sighs and places the bags down on the floor next to the shoe rack. She had been out shopping with Rayn all day and although it had made her feel a little better temporarily she wasn't over it.

She heads into the kitchen where Adonis was drinking out of a water bottle and scrolling through his phone. He looks up at her and smiles, she gives him a fake half smile in return.

"Had a good day?" He ask as he locks his phone.

"Sure." Ana responds blandly.

"What's wrong? You still tripping about what happened the other night?" Adonis chuckles. "Might as well get use to it Ana, this is how shit is between us."

"Why are things like this Adonis? This isn't normal."

Adonis shrugs and finishes off his water not giving Ana any kind of real response to her question.

"Maybe it's because you're crazy." Ana mumbles.

"Maybe. But it's too late for you to try and leave."

"I'm going to get away from you. Things aren't going to be how they were before."

Adonis lets out a loud laugh while clapping his hands together like she had just told him the funniest thing he had heard all year. Ana stands with a glare on her face, growing angry at him for not taking her seriously.

"Go ahead and go then Ana. I'll even let you get a head start, but I want you to know this..." he speaks as he steps closer to her backing her into the corner in the kitchen. "When I find you and I WILL find you, you're going to regret it."

With a smile on his face Adonis pecks her lips and takes a step back. Ana can feel a lone tear fall from her eye as he continues to look at her.

"Go change clothes. We're going to dinner."

Without giving her a chance to respond he leaves her standing alone in the kitchen. Ana shakes her head slowly and heads into the bedroom to do as he asked. As much as she hated him right now, she had to do what he asked until she could find a way to get away from him for good.

Ana sits at the dinner table at the upscale restaurant Adonis had dragged her to. The car ride had been mostly silent and so had the start of dinner. She was annoyed with his persistent Adonis was. No matter how much she ignored him, he would only talk more trying to get her to respond to anything he would say. Sparking up some small talk again as they wait for their food to arrive, Ana finally gives in and engages with him. He talked about the many times they had come here and how close he was with the owner, not failing to leave out this was her favorite place to come.

"You know I proposed to you here." Adonis speaks while sipping on his alcoholic drink.

"Really now? I wish I could go back to that night."

"Word? Why?" Adonis ask with a raised brow now fully engaged in their little conversation.

"So I could say no." Ana gives him a fake smile before sipping her drink.

"This little attitude you got... Keep on I'll do worse that I did the other night. Because I think we both know by now I can do way worse."

Ana scoffs and rolls her eyes as the waiter returns with their meals.

"Can I get you anything else Mr. and Mrs. Brown?"

"We're good." Adonis speaks before Ana can say anything.

Halfway through their meal Adonis excuses himself to use the bathroom leaving Ana alone.

How cocky was he to leave her alone in public after what he had done to her?

She bites into her bottom lip debating on making a quick exit while she had the chance to get away. Ana stands from her seat and heads for the exit quickly, before she can reach the front door she feels a strong hand touch her shoulder. Anastassia pauses in her steps and slowly turns around to see Hood looking down at her.

"Where you heading in such a hurry Ana?"

"I-I left something in my car."

"Oh yeah? Maybe you should take a seat back at the table before Adonis comes back and we have to tell him what you were about to do. I would hate that for you." Hood whispers.

Ana sighs and decides it be best to do what he asked since her spontaneous plan had been soiled rather quickly.

"Go ahead and sit back down. Don't worry I won't tell him about this."

Ana doesn't respond and heads back to her seat. She begins to eat the remainder of her meal right as Adonis returns from the bathroom. Ana looks around the restaurant for any sign of Hood but he was nowhere to be found.

"Had he left?" She thinks to herself.

How could a man as big as he is be so invisible? She couldn't remember seeing him when they had walked inside.

Why did everyone know about how Adonis was but no one bothered to really help her?

The more she found out the weirder things got.

After dinner they head back home and against her better judgement she agrees to shower with Adonis. She wasn't sure if it was the few glasses of champagne she had during dinner or just the fact that although he was crazy as hell, he was still fine as hell and she wanted a piece of him right now.

"Feel good?" Adonis mumbles while gripping her curls tighter in his fist.

"Ye-yes." Ana manages to moan.

Adonis picks up the pace of his hips. Light smacking noises fill their dark bedroom as Ana's moans continue to grow louder and louder the deeper her pushes inside of her.

Hours had passed and he still wasn't done making love to her. The way he handled her body had her mind clear of all negative thoughts of him. She felt deep down she really was in love with him.

As he stroked in and out of her at a steady pace every idea she had of leaving had officially left the building.
