Efsun/Angie's POV:

A few days later as the prince promised I got a separated room and he kept visiting to me everyday, even though the sultan gave me 2 servants too to help me and a woman, called Nigar Karfa taught me some Turkish too so I can understand everyone in the palace.

Everything's good, but I still don't remember anything about myself and it makes me want to cry, but I have to hold it back while I'm around people... Not like if too many people would come to see me anyway. It's only that few servants, prince Mustafa and Nigar Karfa.

Atleast until one afternoon when the prince came to see me as he always does.

- Nigar... Can you leave us alone, please? - he asked her kindly and she nodded.

- Yes, Sir - she bowed then left the room.

- Efsun... I know it's still scary for you and everything... But the valide wants to meet you - the prince said, looking directly into my eyes - You can say no, but if you come don't be afraid of her, either of any of those who'll be there beside us.

- I-I see... - I muttered - Then I guess I'm better go... Nigar Karfa told me about the valide and the others...

She did. The valide is Süleyman's mother and the leader of his harem. She knows everything that happens in the harem so she probably knows about me being here too.

Nigar told me about the prince's mother, called Mahidevran sultana. She maybe seems cold and heartless, but only because she wants to protect his son from everything bad which is understandable since he'll be the next sultan so... yeah.

She also told me about sultan Süleyman's wife, called Haseki Hürrem. She's a very determined woman who knows what she wants and if there's anyone who doesn't follow her lead... well... it's better not knowing what would she do.

She's also the mother of the sultan's 5 children too.

And then there comes the sultan's sister, Hatice sultana who's married to his best friend and his closest soldier Ibrahim pasha.

Hatice is a kind woman who lives for her husband and her kids. They were born not so long ago and she spends almost all of her time with them. She already lost one of her child in the past and she now does her best to protect them and keep them healthy.

- Well then... - Mustafa walked up to me and held his hand out - Shall we go then?

- Yeah... - I nodded as I took his hand and we headed to the valide's room, but as soon as we were at the door I froze.

- I'll be with you... Don't worry... - said Mustafa, trying to calm me down which worked once again and he opened the door and went in. I didn't say or ask anything, just followed him inside the large, fancy room.

Everything was twice as big as in my room, but I didn't have time to look around because Mustafa lead me in right in front of four women that were sitting in the room. As soon as they noticed us they all smiled probably because of the prince except one woman with light-red hair. She didn't seem too happy to see him. If I need to guess I'd guess that's Hürrem Sultana.

- Ah, my son! - suddenly one of the women with brow hair jumped up. I'm guessing that's his mother Mahidevran sultana.

- Hello, mom - said Mustafa, smiling.

- Well, who is this young lady? - asked Hürrem, kinda cheekily as she's trying to change the subject.

- She's the one I've found in our way back to the palace - he replied - Her memories still didn't come back so until then call her Efsun.

- Nice choice... - smiled probably the oldest woman from all of them so that should be the valide - Then welcome to the palace, Lady Efsun.

- Thank you, Milady - I bowed deeply.

- My name is Ayse Hafsa, the mother of the sultan - the valide continued - Here on my right is my beautiful daughter Hatice, on my left is my grandson's Mustafa's mother Mahidevran and on the last one's Hürrem... my son's wife.

On the last part she sounded quite disgusted for some reason.

Before I could say anything suddenly a guard came in and said:

- Salute! Our lord Sultan Süleyman's coming! - he shouted and everyone stood up in that instant and a moment later the sultan came in and we all bowed deeply.

- Good day - he smiled then walked up to his mother and kissed her hand - Mother...

- Hello, son - she smiled.

After he greeted everyone he came up to me and the prince.

- How are you doing, my dear? - he asked me.

- Better than the first day... thank you, sir - I replied, still looking down since this is also the part of showing respect towards him.

- How about you memories?

- I don't really remember anything... I'm sorry...

- Don't say sorry... It's not your fault. I just hope we can help you get back your memory, but until then you're welcomed in here - he said then held his hand out to me.

- Thank you - I said as I kissed his hand.

I could feel Hürrem sultana's cold stare on me the whole time with the sultan was talking to me.

Later when Mustafa lead me back to my room all I could do was sigh deeply.

- It wasn't that bad, was it? - he said, smiling.

- No, indeed not... - I replied.

- And my dad seems to like you as well so you have nothing to worry about.

- I wouldn't be so sure about that - I said jokingly.

- But I'm sure about that - he said as he touched my cheek and smiled at me - But I just remembered something that I wanted to ask from you...

- W-What is it?

- Since you came here you have that ring... - he said as he took my hand, examining my ring that I indeed had for some time now - It's probably an item from your life...

- Yeah... Maybe... - I mumbled.

- Don't you remember if you got this from someone or... ?

- No... I don't...

- Maybe you need to think about this first... That could help you remember...

- I guess... - I sighed.

- Now I have to go, but I'll see you later... - he smiled then kissed my forehead and left the room and me with my confused thoughts.
