After being begged for an hour straight by her cousin and waiting in line for almost two more hours, Aaliyah walked into the packed night club in downtown Atlanta next to her cousin Jaliyah. She wore a long sleeve coffee colored deep v cut bodycon dress from fashion nova, black Christian louboutin heels, a gold Rolex and a bright pink leather clutch. Her hair was in its natural curly way in a middle part and her face was beat. She looked like money.

All eyes were on them. A few guys tried to talk to them but they ignored every try. They worked their way through the packed crowd and walked up to the bar.

" What can I get you two? " A tall darkskin guy standing behind the counter asked

" Oouuu I'll want a Bloody Mary  " Jaliyah said looking down at the drink menu

" And for you ?" The bartender asked

" Henny, on the rocks " Aaliyah replied watching the dancers in the middle of the floor dance while scanning the area

" That's a big girl drink, you sure that's what you want ?" The bartender joked

" I think I can handle it" she smirked turning her head and looking at him, he laughed to himself and walked away to fix their drinks

" What you looking at ?" Jaliyah asked coming closer to Aaliyah  

" Nothing.. " Aaliyah replied before turning back around to face the bar. ' dreams & nightmares ' by Meek mill played on the speakers.

A guy wearing all black and golds chains walked up to them " Y'all wanna' come up to my VIP ? " he asked

Jaliyah and Aaliyah made eye contact, Aaliyah didn't want to but Jaliyah flashed those puppy dog eyes and mouthed please so she gave in like always

The bartender came back with their drinks, Aaliyah took a sip and followed the guy and her cousin upstairs to VIP.

Sehkani sat in the vip section next to Shawn throwing money on the dancers that danced for them. A person he hadn't seen in a very long time caught his attention, his face went from a smile to like he had seen a ghost.

Aaliyah was actually having a good time with her cousin and the new strangers they had just met. She turned to her left and her heart dropped when her and Sehkani made eye contact. He looked different from the last time she saw him, he wasn't the little boy she remembered. He had gotten taller, and had a little muscle to him now with a few tattoos covering his arms and chest.

She quickly looked away and took a sip of her drink. This wasn't a good way to let it be known she was back after how she up and left. Sehkani was surprised to see her but that soon turned to anger, anger that he had been holding in for three years.

" Hold up, I'll be right back " Aaliyah said to her cousin, standing up

" Wait where you going ? " Jaliyah asked grabbing her arm

" Just to the restroom, I gotta' pee " Aaliyah replied before walking away to the restroom. She walked inside the empty women's restroom and walked into a stall. While she was using the restroom she heard the door open and foot steps but payed them no mind.

She walked out the stall and stopped when she saw the devil himself standing at the door. The old him would've gave her a chance to explain herself but the new him wanted to fuck her up. She did him dirty and he swore on his daughter to do the same.

Sehkani was way past the point of anger. This bitch really had the audacity to be back in the city. Aaliyah could feel the shade but said nothing, he was entitled to it. After all, not only did she leave him, she robbed him and basically said fuck him by taking everything she thought he had. She really didn't know what she was in for, She had left and now she had to stay gone.

" Why you here? " Sehkani asked her.

Aaliyah walked over to the sink and started to wash her hands " You know why I'm here. " she replied sternly. " I'm just here for the week for my moms birthday and then I'll be gone .. "

She instantly began to feel funny but she ignored it. She couldn't deny the fact that she was nervous but she wasn't scared, not of Sehkani.

She walked over to the paper towel dispensers and dried her hands, she looked up and Sehkani locked the restroom door.

" What you doing? " Aaliyah asked with a raised eyebrow.

He ignored her, taking off his black jean jacket and tossing it on the sink counter, he then took off his Rolex and sat it down on top of his jacket. " You got my money? Cause I know you ain't come here and think shit was just gone be cool. " He asked walking towards her.

"I dont-." He smacked her, not giving her a chance to even finish her sentence.

Aaliyah stumbled back a little, and leaned against the wall to balance herself. She didn't even have time to react before he was holding her by her neck.

" Bitch you cant hear now ? " Sehkani was definitely holding back. He couldn't bring himself to beat her ass like he wanted to.

" Sehkani.. come on man, she ain't worth " Shawn yelled beating on the door like he was the police. He saw Sehkani follow Aaliyah to the restroom and knew things were about to go bad

He let Aaliyah go, who gasped for air as if she forgot how to breath, she was completely shocked and now she was scared but she wasn't no bitch.

" Go back to Detroit or ima fuck ya life up. I swear on my daughter I'll fuck up everything you got going on.. and I ain't scared to make a move on the people you love ." Sehkani said angrily, he meant every word he had said.

" You still hit like a bitch " Aaliyah replied just as she began to swing on him.

Sehkani could say and do whatever, but it wouldn't stop her from doing what she wanted.

" When the food gone be done ? I'm hungry as fuck." Sehkani asked, brushing his hand over his waves.

" You always hungry, that girlfriend of yours don't feed you? Damn. " Big momma replied

" Naomi ain't my girl " Sehkani replied, laughing to himself. Him and Naomi had been messing around for a year now and his family loved it. Naomi had healed him, she made him a better person, she taught him how to be happy on his own an not rely on others for happiness, she helped him with his communication skills and taught him how to love again. She was everything that most bitches wasn't.

" Mhmmm whatever..." Big momma replied " Y'all are too damn old for the games "

Sehkani tried to grab a biscuit off the counter but before he could his great grandma stopped abruptly, roughly grabbing his face.

" Boy, what happened to you? " She examined the lump that sat on his eye that was all red in the inside and was slightly bruised on the outside. He had a few scratches on his face and some on his neck.

" I hit some bitch and she fought back." He told her like it was, he wasn't a liar. His whole family knew Sehkani had a temper just like Kasuan and she and Adryian couldn't beat his ass for it no more, it was just that type of dude he was.

" You still being a lil bitch and can't keep ya hands to yourself ? " Big momma replied " Look like she beat ya ass anyway. " she roughly let go of his face.

Sehkani sucked his teeth. " She ain't do shit. "

Aaliyah got a few good hits in and he fucked her body up. One thing he loved about her was that she wasn't no soft ass bitch

" So who was it? " Big momma asked.

" She ain't important." He replied before leaving the kitchen

Aria got her daughter dressed and put her down for a nap before taking a shower and getting dressed herself she was more than nervous

" Hurry up " Naomi said impatiently as she watched Aria do her make up. " I'm hungry " she whined

" You just wanna' see Sehkani " Aria replied adding the finishing touches to her hair

" And beat KJ and Tayveon nasty ass " Naomi said making Aria laugh

" Don't start " Aria said, she knew how Naomi was and she didn't want any drama. Naomi hated KJ just as much as she did, she felt like what he did was fucked up and you never do that to family.

Aria applied some lip gloss on to her lips and grabbed her purse and keys before leaving out the house. They got inside of Naomi's Range Rover, a gift from Sehkani and headed to Kasuan and Adryian's house. They stayed in the part of town where the upper middle class people lived. The houses were huge and the neighborhood was nice and that was only in a certain part. Cars filled the drive way so Naomi Parked on the street.

They got out the car and Aria woke Cori up before taking her out her car seat and walking with Naomi inside of the big house. Adryian greeted them at the door

" Hey baby " she smiled hugging Aria, she looked down at Cori at tickled her stomach

" Gee Gee " Cori pouted reaching out for Adryian. She loved her grandma and Adryian loved her. Adryian took the baby away from Aria and walked away

Aria closed the front door and her and Naomi walked deeper into the house. Old R&B music played low, the smell of soul food and sweet pound cake crowded the air and they could hear people talking from everywhere.

Sehkani walked up to them and Naomi smiled while walking up to him. " Hey baby " she said, he pulled her close and gave her a kiss. " Dammmmmn.. who fucked you up ? " Naomi said examining his face

His mood changed quickly and he moved her hand away " Stop fucking playing with me " Sehkani replied

" Aria " Audrey shouted coming down the stairs, she ran up to her big sister and hugged her.

" Heyyy Audrey " Aria smiled, Audrey was getting so big. She was six now and it made Aria sad that her little sister was growing up so fast. Audrey was still a spoiled brat with a bad attitude and anger problems but Aria didn't mind, she was her moms problem not hers.

" Where's Cori ? " Audrey asked

" Mommy took her somewhere I don't know " Aria shrugged. Audrey walked away and started to look for Adryian.

Naomi walked away with Sehkani and Aria walked around, she was surprised to see her dad in the kitchen holding Amour, Him and Kenisha's daughter. She was never around, only on holidays, birthdays and special occasions. She went outside to the backyard and saw KJ and Tayveon sitting at the edge of the pool with their feet in the water, smiling, talking and laughing.

Aria made a face and they both looked up, Tayveon quickly looked away and KJ gave his sister a sad look. He nervously waved at her and Aria rolled her eyes and went in the house, he just wished he and Aria could be friends again and that she would just hear him out and understand that he was in love Tayveon and she should be happy for him.

After dinner Big momma called everyone in the house to the living room. Everyone was in a good mood but the look on her face made their smiles quickly fade

" I've lived a long life.. I done seen it and I'm blessed to be able to everyone grow up and see my great great grand babies be born " Big momma, her eyes glossy " everything I do is for this family but I guess it's time for me to go.. I brought you all here to tell you that I
have cancer and I don't want you to be sad because I've lived a long life and I'm ready to go " she admitted as a tear streamed down her face, everyone stood their shocked not knowing what to say

An hour later

" I'm scared " Kasuan said honestly, sitting in his back yard next to his grandma watching the sun set. He and his grandma were close and he was hurt

" Don't be baby " Big momma replied " It's my time "

" How and when did you find out? "

" i found the lump myself last week after having really bad chest pains, I went to the doctor a day after and soon found out I had breast cancer, it scared me half to death hearing that.. I started chemo and my treatments but then a week later they told me I had brain cancer.... I don't want you to worry Kasuan, don't beat yourself up, I know how are " Big momma said looking at him, they made eye contact " I love you so much.. you've made me so proud "

" I love you " Kasaun said trying not to cry, his grandma pulled him in for a hug and they sat their in each other's arms. Kasuan was scared but he was going to stay strong for her and the family. Big momma was everyone's bestfriend and this hit everybody hard.
