Two months later

" Kasuan why the fuck you always buying him these expensive ass shoes knowing he scuff em' up every time " Adryian complained sitting in Sehkani's room looking for him something to wear. He had started walking and if he wasn't spilling juice or food on his shoes, he was scuffing them up.

" I'll just buy some new ones " Kasuan replied nonchalantly. He was sitting on the floor feeding Sehkani Cheetos who was making a mess.

" That's not the point " Adryian mumbled, she turned around and saw the Cheeto stains covering Sehkani's face, chest and hands. " Kasuan I just gave him a bath why would you feed him those " she yelled

" I'll give him another " Kasuan replied

" And now we're going to be late " she said rolling her eyes. They were supposed to be going to Kasuan's grandmother's house for Sunday dinner and she didn't want to make a bad first impression.

Kasuan stood up and picked Sehkani up " Wassup' with you ? " he asked. Adryian had been real moody and snappy lately, and not like her normal self.

" Can you just go give him a bath and hurry up please " She mumbled rubbing a hand through her hair. He walked away to the bathroom to give Sehkani a bath. Adryian didn't want to tell him that she thought she was pregnant.

She was acting and feeling the same way she acted and felt when she was first pregnant with Sehkani. Her mood was always changing, she was getting really bad cramps, bad headaches and she was always tired now.

The one thing she didn't want to happen was that what she thought was really true. Sehkani wasn't even one yet, Kasuan was still with Stephanie, and she didn't want any more kids, Sehkani was already a handful enough.

She found him an outfit and brought it back to her room before getting dressed herself. She wore a white spaghetti strapped body suit and a pair of charcoal colored distressed boyfriend jeans and pink rubber GG GUCCI slides that showed her freshly white painted toes. She didn't wear any make up, only lashes and lipgloss and put her hair in a straight middle part style

She laughed to herself when she heard Kasuan struggle to get Sehkani to stop splashing water every where. He got him cleaned up and dressed before they headed out to his Grandmothers house. This would be her first time meeting Adryian and Sehkani.

She stayed almost an hour away from Adryian's house in the country. When they arrived Sehkani was in a deep sleep. Kasuan got him out the car and his sister Teyanna greeted them at the door

" Uncle Kasuan  " her son, Josiah yelled running up to Kasuan and hugging his legs.

" Wassup' lil man " Kasuan smiled rubbing his head

Josiah moved away " Stop uncle Kasuan you messing up my waves " he said brushing his hair down with his hand

" Boy gone back in the house " Teyanna said moving Josiah away. She wrapped her arms around Kasuan and gave him a hug " So glad you could make it "

" It was time to bring them out here " Kasuan said

" Waaayyyy past time " Teyanna replied. She moved over and hugged Adryian. " hey girl "

" Heyyy " Adryian smiled giving her a hug.

They walked inside the house and the smell of fresh hot sunday cooking hit them both in the face, it had been so long since they both had a home cooked meal. Kasuan genes were so strong it was scary, everybody looked alike in some way in the house. Adryian never met anyone in Kasuan's family other than his mom and sister and that's only because he didn't mess with them like that but after his mom died he decided to give them a chance. They walked into the kitchen

" Well y'all came just in time we were about to eat with out y'all " Kasuan's grandmother said pulling out a pan from the oven. She put it on the oven top and took her oven gloves off

" Hey big momma " Kasuan said giving her a hug

" Hey baby " she smiled, she pulled away and looked at Sehkani who had just woken up and was rubbing the sleep from his eyes. " He's so Handsome "

" Can you say thank you " Adryian said to Sehkani moving his free arm

" And his mother is beautiful.. hey baby " Kasuan's grandma smiled, she pulled Adryian in for a hug " it's soooo nice to meet you " she added

" Nice to finally meet you too Mrs.Wright " Adryian replied

" Oh baby you can call me Ruby " his grandma said " Y'all head on down to the dinning room, we can finally eat now that y'all here "

They walked to the dinning room where some of Kasuan's cousin's and Aunts and Uncles were sitting down

" Hey Kasuan " His cousin Octavia said, she knew he didn't mess with her but she tried her best to get into his good graces again. Octavia needed a place to stay one year and Kasuan let her until he found out she had been stealing from him, Kasuan was disappointed cause all she had to do was ask and she lied about it so he cut her off.

He gave her a simple head nod and walked to the table to pull Adryain's chair out before she sat down. He sat Sehkani down in a chair in between them and sat down next to him.

A few minutes later everyone headed towards the kitchen to make their plates before sitting back down in their seats

" Is everybody ready to eat ? " Kasuan's uncle Desmond asked with a smile, everyone said something that really meant yes. " Let us bow our heads and pray " Desmond said , everyone held hands and bowed their heads " Dear Heavenly Father, we thank thee for the food that has been provided and the hands that have prepared the food. We ask thee to bless it that it may nourish and strengthen our bodies. Heavenly Father we thank thee for all you have done this year even though it has been a rough year for some of us and better for some, you have given us the strength to over come everything. Heavenly Father I thank you for bringing all of the family here together today.. new additions as well " he said talking about Adryian and Sehkani " for what we are about to receive may the Lord make us truly grateful and thankful, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. "

" Amen " everyone said

" Now let's eat" Desmond yelled making everyone laugh as they began to eat. Everyone made small talk while they ate.

Half an hour later

Kasuan's grandma stood up and made her way to Adryian, she placed a hand on her shoulder " Come with me " she whispered into Adryain's ear.

Adryian removed the napkin from her lap and slowly got up. She followed his grandma to the backyard that was beautiful, full of colorful flowers. She led her down a trail to a small lake and they sat down on a wooden porch swing that was hanging from a big oak tree that looked over the lake. The sun was setting and it made the scenery beautiful.

" I've always wanted to talk to you but you know me and Kasuan's relationship hasn't always been... perfect " his grandma said " But from what I know.. and what I've heard, you've been the best thing to ever happen to that boy .. the Kasuan I remember was so lost " she said, her voice cracking " But you, you brought life and happiness back into some one I thought was sooo far gone and I am forever thankful for that "

" Thank you .. " Adryian said " but I'm not a hero or a savior and things aren't perfect.. me and Kasuan, have a .. weird relationship but honestly, I can't imagine my world without him "

" Things aren't going to be perfect, trust me I know.. you're young and stupid in love. Take it from me, I've been married for almost fifty years.. and in the end, it's all worth it " his grandma replied " Kasuan is a .. lost soul, he has problems, he never had a father figure so he had to become a man and learn things on his own but he's become a better person since he's been with you and I know you two aren't together right now but I know you'll be back together soon "

" I hope so " Adryian admitted, she never told anyone but she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Kasuan.

" Everything will fall into place eventually, don't worry " His grandma said, placing her hand on top of Adryain's

Later on that night

Kasuan walked Adryian and Sehkani into the house. He laid Sehkani down in his bed and waited until he was all the way asleep before leaving and walking to Adryain's room

" Adryian " he called out noticing she wasn't in the room

" In here " she said from the bathroom. He walked to her bathroom and she sat on the closed toilet holding a pregnancy test box. Kasuan's stopped at the doorway and his eyes widened. She looked up at him and chuckled.

" You pregnant? " he asked

" I think "

" Why you think ? .. I thought you was on birth control " Kasuan replied

She looked back at the pregnancy test box and moved it around in her hands " I've been having the same symptoms I had when I was first pregnant with Sehkani "  she admitted " and I been stopped taking my birth control "

Kasuan sat down in front her leaning against a wall and sighed. This was the last thing he'd expect to happen. " Damn " was all he could say.

They sat there in silence for a few minutes letting their thoughts run wild before she started to opened the box. Kasuan left out the bathroom to give her some privacy and she took two test.

Ten minutes later Adryian came out the bathroom holding two test. She let out a sigh of relief when they both read negative. She sat down on the bed next to Kasuan who looked stressed out and showed him the test. He also let out a sigh of relief. They sat there in silence again for a few minutes

" What if the test would've came out positive? " she asked

" I don't know, you think we ready for another kid ? Sehkani not even one yet "

" I don't know " Adryian replied " I mean I'm happy I'm not pregnant but part of me wanted to be ... " she admitted

" And how was I supposed to explain to my girl friend that I got my baby momma pregnant ? " he asked looking at Adryian.

" Oh so it's okay for you to fuck me as long as your little girlfriend don't find out ? " She asked

" You ain't have no problem with doing it before so what's the issue now " Kasuan said

" The issue is YOU Kasuan... I'm not about to come second to no bitch that's not even on my level.. you get me and me by myself or you don't get me at all "

" So what I'm supposed to leave my girl for you now ? I ain't never ask you to leave that dyke bitch you was fucking with " Kasuan replied , attitude laced in his voice

" You know what you can leave? My damn house.. now " Adryian said standing up " the fuck you keep coming around for if you so in love with this bitch "

" I don't even know. " Kasuan said, he grabbed his jacket and walked out her room

" So what you just gone leave ? Really Kasuan " Adryian yelled following behind him

" Man can you shut the fuck up, you bout' to wake Sehkani " He said turning around and facing her

" You wanted to be with me, what changed ? " she asked

" You think I'm supposed to just wait on you ? " he asked " yeah I wanted to be with you and maybe one day we will get back together but I'm not about to leave for my girl for somebody who don't even know what they want "

" We are never getting back together " She said trying to get under his skin and he wasn't about to give her the satisfaction

" iight " Kasuan said, he turned around and left from her apartment and she let him.

I'm so done with him she thought to herself knowing she really wasn't.
