At the office .

Ashley and Jessica sat in Paul's office talking about another case when Jonathan walked in holding a file, he tossed it down on Paul's desk

" Take a look at that" Jonathan said crossing his arms over his chest, Paul opened the file

" What's this?" Paul asked looking up at Jonathan

" Remember the Kasuan Wright case, well it's a pending case going on, him vs his ex lover, Adryian Brown in a domestic violence dispute, you think she might know something ?"

Ashley sat back not wanting to say too much. Paul's face turned up when he saw the pictures of Adryian and passed them to Jessica, Ashley took a peek and they were both in shock but the real shocker was not only did Adryian have scars Kasuan did too which meant she put up a fight.

Adryian had honestly forgotten she had pressed charges and planned on dropping them now that her and Kasuan were good.

" A guy beats up his ex girlfriend that bad, I think she's going to have a lot to say " Jessica said, her eyes widened when she looked a document " says here she's currently pregnant with what she claims is his child and this wasn't his first time laying hands on a female "

" Back when he was eighteen him and another ex  " Jonathan stopped, he looked through the files with a confused look on his face " that's strange, we don't have her name on file but the incident was marked "

" Guess he isn't the picture perfect guy we thought he was " Paul joked

" Then we've got him" Jessica replied excitedly

" Paul and Ashley, let's go take a trip to this girls house and see what she has to say and tell Miranda upfront that we need to check up on this mystery ex " Jonathan said closing the file

They went all the way to where Adryian stayed and knocked on the door and waited.

" Let me and Ashley do the talking " Jonathan said to Paul

Adryain's Aunt slowly walked to the door, she wasn't expecting any company. She looked through the peek hole and saw the two men and women in suits " Who is it " she yelled out

" Can you please open the door ma'am "

She opened the door slowly. " Yes, how can I help you ?"

Ashley looked over her, she was a beautiful woman. Her hair was in a naturally curly form , in a slicked back low ponytail and she wore a white tank top and grey yoga pants. " This isn't Adryian " Ashley said to Jonathan

" Hello ma'am we're looking for Adryian Brown " Johnathan asked

" May I ask why ? " Her aunt replied

" We're just here to ask her some questions about Kasuan Wright " Jonathan said

" One second " Her aunt replied before leaving to Adryian's room to wake her up and let her know who was here.

A few minutes later...

" It says here you two were dating for a while , what happened? Why did it end ?" Ashley asked sitting across from Adryian at the kitchen table. She was curious herself for her own reasons. Adryian couldn't wait to tell Kasuan what was going on, she couldn't believe she fought a cop the other night and now she was sitting in her kitchen asking her about her baby daddy.

" We had a few problems but what young couple doesn't, we good now " Adryian replied

" We recently checked your file, you two were in a fight?" Ashley asked

" Yes we were but that's in the past and we were both wrong and I plan on dropping the charges "

" Sir I'm just trying to figure out why are y'all here asking her about her relationship, What's the point ? " Her aunt said

" Did Kasuan ever give you reason to believe that he was in the drug business " Jonathan asked getting straight to the point

Adryian thought about it for a second before answering " No "

" Are you sure?" Ashley asked, Adryian's whole demeanor had changed

" I said no " she said, giving Ashley a look

"No further questions " Jonathan replied, everyone stood up. " we'll call you if we need anything else or you can give us a call if something comes up " he said giving her his business card

Adryian walked them out the house and sat back down at the kitchen table holding the small card , she contemplated calling Kasuan.

" This is about to get bad " Her aunt mumbled chewing on her nail " What the hell does Kasuan have going on "

Jonathan and Ashley walked to the car " She lied right to our faces " Jonathan said

" She loves him , and love can make a girl do some things " Ashley said shaking her head

" We'll get her to talk sooner or later " Jonathan said " I wish we would've gotten a last name for the other ex "

Adryian woke up the next day, she felt around her bed and realized she was alone. She sat up in her bed and looked around, she thought Kasuan would come over but he didn't, she hadn't told him about the police coming over her house because she wanted to do her own research first. She walked to her restroom and took a long steaming hot shower. She even washed her hair and shaved her body. She stepped out and wrapped a plush pink towel around her body. She walked into the room and was shocked to see Kasuan sitting on her bed.

" Are you okay ? " She asked , walking up to him " what happened to your hand and your face " she asked looking at him, his hand was wrapped up in bandages. Instead of hitting somebody, he blacked out and punched a random cars back window out. She looked at him, He didn't look like himself.

he said looking straight forward, his voice cracking " I- I need you right now" he said, looking up at her. His eyes were watery

" What's wrong ?" She asked sitting next to him on the bed, she looked at him

" You know the bitch you fought the other night " he said,

Adryian rolled her eyes " Yeah " she said thinking about Ashley.

" Right after you left she told me I might have a four year old and -

" You're lying " Adryin said cutting him off, he looked up at her

" I swear I didn't know " he replied putting his hand on hers ,  she snatched away from him and stood up " she literally just told me last night, I swear on my mother I didn't know " he pleaded. They had just gotten back good and he didn't want to lose her again

She slowly walked to a near by dresser and pulled out a grey bra and underwear set and a white t-shirt, she dropped her towel and put them on. She looked over at him  " We literally JUST got back good and now you sitting here telling me you might have a daughter Kasuan what the fuck "

" I'm sorry " he said , that's all he could say. He had fucked up this time, it was all his fault

" I can't believethis shit" she said, more to herself than him. She looked up at him " You know that bitch Ashley is a opp right, she came to my house yesterday with some other deactivates asking me about you and our relationship and shit "

" Wait what ? " Kasuan asked with a confused look on your face " Who came to your house ? "

" The police are looking at you Kasuan " Adryian said grabbing the business card detective Johnathan had given her off her dresser and passing it to Kasuan " Ashley was with them, What the fuck is going on "

Kasuan looked at the card. He stood up  and started to leave her room " Nothing, don't worry about it "

" Where you going ? " she asked

" I gotta' go... I'll hit yo' phone later. Don't talk to nobody else, one of them folks come to yo' house again don't answer the door. iight ?"

" Okay " Adryian replied, she was so confused. She couldn't do anything but watch him leave her house.

She walked back to her room and sat down on the edge of the bed and bit her nail , she didn't know what to do. This was just too much for her.

Two days later ..

Adryian and Kasuan walked into the clinic and sat in the waiting room. Adryian had on a cream colored Long sleeve body suit and light blue jeans and a pair of chestnut uggs on. Her baby bump stuck out through her shirt and today she wasn't really in the mood. Kasuan had on a simple grey hoodie and dark blue distressed skinny jeans and a pair of Jordan's on. He had a lot on his mind and he wanted to get all of this over with

" How she late to her own appointment " Adryian said checking the time on her phone

" Traffic probably" Kasuan shrugged

" We wouldn't even be going through this if would've just kept your dick in your pants " she said looking him up and down.

" Don't start " he said before Ashley walked into the clinic hand and hand with the little girl. Ashley had on a bright yellow sweater and grey skinny jeans and a pair of light brown low cut uggs. The little girl she had with her looked just like her. She wore a grey purple and teal sweater dress and a pair of teal tights and grey Ugg's. Her hair was in a top knot bun with a grey bow on her head.

" Hey, sorry I'm late " Ashley said walking up to them

" You're good, we're just waiting on a doctor now " Kasuan said standing up

" Adryian " Ashley nodded, Adryian rolled her eyes and kept scrolling on her phone

" Mommy, I have to potty " the little girl said tugging Ashely's hand

" I'll be right back " she replied before walking to the restroom

" It took all of me not to hit her just now " Adryian said to Kasuan

" Chill out with that shit, you not bout' to be fighting folks your whole pregnancy " he replied

" Then she got this little girl in here looking tacky and shit " Adryian mumbled before Ashley and the little girl came back

" This is junea " Ashley said introducing her daughter to Adryian and Kasuan. Kasuan gave her a small smile while Adryian didn't move at all. She just stared at the little girl trying to pick out how she resembled Kasuan, she couldn't find anything because she didn't. She didn't look like Kasuan at all.

" How you and your cousins all fucked the same nigga " Adryian said " That's dirty "

" Can we not do this here.. PLEASE " Ashley said, feeling some what embarrassed. She already felt bad for sleeping with Kasuan behind her cousin Faith's back and then she felt dirty after finding out her other cousin Milanni had messed with Kasuan.

After the doctor drew blood from Kasuan, Ashley and Junea they all left and went their separate ways.

Kasuan and Adryian rode in silence until they got to her house " So what does this mean for us?" Kasuan asked stopping Adryian before she got out the car

" We can talk about there being an us when you find out if your the father of that child or not " she replied

" You and I both know that ain't my kid so chill out "

" I don't know anything yet love " she said before opening the car door and getting out " I'll let you know when my next doctors appointment is " she closed the door and walked away and he watched her. He couldn't wait until they got back on good terms.
