I swear if I don't get more than ten comments on this chapter, I will stop updating.

"Did you do this on purpose?" I asked Sorin as we walked out of the college, his arm wrapped around my waist.

"No. I was offered this a few days ago but I forgot about it and only remembered it this morning when you mentioned about the special class."

"Oh."

He didn't let me attend any other class and brought me home instead where he cooked us lunch while I sat and watched him cook elegantly.

As we ate our lunch, I said to him, "Sorin?"

"Yes?"

"Can we...go to my... father's grave...?" I requested gloomily.

He stopped eating and placed his fork down. "We can..."

"Can we go...after lunch?"

He sighed. "There's someone you should talk to before we go there."

"Talk to? Who?"

He pursed his lips. "Adrian."

"A-adrian? What does...he have to...do with all this?"

He rubbed his temples. "You must have his number, right? Can you dial it for me? I want to talk to him."

He wanted to talk to him. His old friend with whom he is angry. Maybe he wants to better things between them.

I picked up my phone which was right beside me on the table and dialling Adrian's number, I handed the phone to him.

Sorin's jaw was clenched as he pressed the phone to his ear, taking a deep breath.

I could hear it ringing and a moment later it stopped. "Adrian." Sorin's tone was cold and hard.

I couldn't hear what Adrian must have said.

Sorin gritted his teeth. "All I want to say is if you don't come here within the next twenty minutes, I am going to hunt you down. You have a lot of fucking explanations to do."

Sorin looked at me and said a moment later, "Yes. She does."

"You have twenty minutes." He threatened and hung up the call.

"S-sorin? What does...Adrian...has to explain?" I was scared. Does Adrian has to do anything with my father? I don't think so.

His features softened. "It's going to be alright, Drea. Don't worry. Finish your lunch first."

Not wanting to disobey him, I finished my lunch even though I didn't feel like eating anymore.

I noticed Sorin was keeping a strict watch on the time. Did he seriously mean what he said to Adrian? I mean he can take more than twenty minutes, what if he gets stuck in traffic?

I don't know how he managed it but as soon as those twenty minutes were over, the doorbell rang.

I got up and went to open the door because I don't want them both to fight as soon as they see each other.

Sorin was quick to open the door before I could. Adrian stood on the other side, breathing heavily as if he ran a marathon.

He ignored Sorin and looked over his shoulder at me. "Drea."

"Um...hi...Adrian..."

He made an attempt to step inside but Sorin stood in his way.

"Come on, Sorin." There's wasn't a hint of amusement or sarcasm in his tone, he looked guilty and sad. "Let me talk to her."

"If you leave her ever again, you will die at my hands." Sorin warned, glaring at him.

"Let. Me. Talk. To. Her."

Giving one last glare, Sorin stepped aside and Adrian walked to me. "Drea, can we go talk in your bedroom?"

And he cut a look at Sorin who was watching us and Sorin, slowly nodded.

Adrian grabbed my hand and took me upstairs to the bedroom and made me sit on the edge of the bed while he...

He knelt down infront of me and took both my hands in his. "First of all, I am sorry for all the mistakes I made."

"Adrian. Please tell me what's going on? What mistakes? What explanations?"

"Sorin told me you got to know about your father. Your real father."

I nodded sadly. "I did."

"Then you must also know that I...I am your brother, Drea."

What?

Immediately pulled away my hands from him. "Have you gone mad?"

"No. I am serious. I am your brother. Your half brother technically."

"H-how?"

"We had the same father. Our mothers were different."

An ache started to form in the middle of my forehead. "I...I... don't understand..."

"My father had a girlfriend who got pregnant with me however she died during giving birth. Dad was devastated but he raised me anyway. When I turned ten, he got married. To your mother but she didn't like me nor did I like her so even before they could get married, she had me sent away to a boarding school." He explained and my mind started to process each and every information.

"I just met your mother once and then I left. I was angry at dad but I didn't object cause I wanted him to be happy. Soon, she got pregnant with you. Dad wrote a few letters to me when you were born and even attached your picture to it, telling me about my baby sister. Due to some reasons, I couldn't come and meet you. And dad's health started to deteriorate and just a month after you were born, he died."

"And your mother, she got married just a few months later. I grew up and got trained as a bodyguard and somehow managed to get myself posted at your house because I wanted to see you and protect you. And there you were, my baby sister all grown up yet so sad and lonely in that fucking house. I wanted to take you away from there, Drea. I wanted to tell you the truth but I just couldn't."

Tears fell in succession from my eyes and Adrian was crying softly too. "I am so sorry, Drea. I'm so sorry for leaving you there. For not coming for you earlier."

I wiped away my tears from the back of my palm. "You and Sorin...you both...are family friends?"

"Our father and Sorin's father were best friends and at the same time, my mother and Sorin's mother were cousins which made me and Sorin cousins too. We grew up together, we were very close but then I went to the boarding school and after dad died, uncle wanted to adopt me but I refused and I ran back to the boarding school, cutting away everyone from my life. I was just angry at everyone especially myself."

Sorin and him are cousins. And if Adrian is my brother does that mean--

"No." Adrian stated firmly as if he read my thoughts. "Only me and Sorin are related cause our mothers were related. You and I had different mothers so that doesn't make you related to Sorin in any way other than your relation as husband and wife."

"Oh."

"Please." He once again took my hands in his and gave it a light squeeze. "Say something. Shout at me, be angry at me. I left you all alone there."

"It's okay, Adrian. You had your reasons for doing that."

He gaped at me. "You can't be serious. You are not angry with me?"

"No. I am not but please, stay with me now. Don't leave anywhere."

"I won't, Drea. I won't. I promise." And getting up, he hugged me tightly.

And I hugged him back, softly crying. Everything had been overwhelming for me these past days.

When I walked back downstairs with Adrian, I saw Sorin pacing back and forth in the living room, worried like hell.

His head snapped to us when we climbed down the stairs, his eyes scrutinizing my face.

My eyes were red from crying and Sorin marched up to Adrian and shoved him. "You made her cry."

"I told her everything and she forgave me. I didn't make her cry though." Adrian said calmly.

"It's okay, Sorin. I am okay." I assured him.

And glaring at Adrian, he pulled me closer to him and their staring competition went on for sometime.

"Please...why don't you both try forgiving each other..." I pleaded.

Sorin scoffed loudly. "Tell him to say sorry first. He left me, I was just a kid. I was so confused what I did wrong to make him leave."

Though Adrian looked guilty, he rolled his eyes and bidding me goodbye, he left.

They both need to let go of their egos.

.
.

It was evening when we came back from my father's grave. Sorin took me there and coincidentally, Adrian was present there when we reached.

The tension was there between Sorin and him but none of them said anything while knelt down next to his grave and let the tears flow.

Standing in the middle of his bedroom, Sorin hugged me tightly even though the tears were dried.

I inhaled his cologne which was quite calming and soothing. He smelled like home.

He was my home. After all these years of searching and grieving, I was finally home. In his arms. At peace.

I snuggled closer to him savouring the feeling. And without thinking much, I kissed the middle of his chest where my face was buried.

I lifted my head to find him already looking at me in confusion. Before he could say anything, I said, "Thank you."

"For what?"

Everything flashed through my mind, every depressing thought, every suicidal thought, every time I wanted to give up. When there wasn't any hope, he was there. "For existing."

He kissed the tip of my nose. "Hmm...any specific reason though?"

Reason? I had a lots of reason. "There are...many."

"And you don't plan on telling me those?"

"Maybe...someday..."

He rubbed the tip of his nose with mine. "I'll be looking forward to that day. The day you will open up completely to me. I'll be waiting, Drea. I will always be there for you."

When tears started to form in my eyes, I quickly blinked them away. "You are... making me cry."

He wiped away the tear from the corner of my eyes with his thumb. "It will be alright. Everything will be alright in the end. Don't worry."

I know now everything is going to be alright. I have him now.

Sliding my arms around his neck slowly, I got on my tip toes and and feeling confident, brought my mouth to his, letting my emotions and feelings known through the kiss.
