Cameron's POV

It is finally the day of the formal. The guys are coming over later tonight before everything starts and the girls are almost here. I plug in the hair curlers and straightener in the bathroom and I run downstairs to get a charging cable.

The final formal. I honestly don't know if it'll be the formal to remember.

Every year, the girls and I have fun, but it wasn't as fun as everyone says it was. We were bored, the guys there sucked ass, and we decided to leave and go take shots back at Parker's house. This time, the boys are here and I'm hoping it'll be more fun.

I hadn't told the girls about the almost kiss situation, probably never will.

I rummage through old drawers in the living room and I hear footsteps coming down the stairs. I look up to see Blake with his duffel bag and phone in hand and he looks up at me.

"Going to Kaydon's?" I ask and he nods.

"Remember we're all spending the night there. See you tonight C," he ruffled my hair before leaving and I wave.

The guys usually get ready together and now Evan is included in their little circle. Evan kind of balances them out. I found what I was lookin for and began quickly going back upstairs, but I bump into a hard shoulder and almost fell backwards.

"In a rush, Cameron?" Harry asks amused. I roll my eyes and didn't answer. I keep on walking and he shouts.

"You need to answer me Cameron!" his voice booming through the house. Blake can't help me
now.

"No, I don't." I respond. I walk back down near him, but a safe distance away. He chuckles dryly with an evil grin and I just stare at him in disappointment.

He leans against the railing and I see his suitcase by his feet.

"Finally leaving?" I look at the suitcase and back at him.

"I'm doing this for your mother," he says and I actually laugh. I laugh and then wipes the humor off of my face.

He would never do that.

"You? You're doing this for mom?" I say in uncertainty. "Bullshit and you know it. You haven't done anything for us besides giving us fucking trauma, Harry."

He looks taken aback by my response and I see the fire blazing in his eyes. His fists are clenched and he walks slowly towards me. I walk back a step and he stops.

"You fucking know what you did and what you do every damn time you come into this house. You break us down, you call us shit, and you hurt us. Inside and out," I trail on and I can visibly see his patience fading away with me.

"Go fucking leave, for all I care. No one is going to miss you, no one is going to visit you, and you w wonder why. Do you wonder why, Harry?"

He doesn't answer but I continue anyway.

"It's because you are not worth the fucking time." I say right into his face. Before shit gets out of hand, the doorbell rings and I step far away from him, down the stairs to open the door.

Sierra and Parker are holding duffel bags and their dress bags for getting ready and heading over to Kaydon's afterwards. They were about to say something with a smile, but it fades once they see the person behind me.

"What the fuck do you want?" Parker scowls and Sierra holds on to her duffel bag a bit more tightly.

Harry rolls his eyes and moves out of the door to his car shutting it tightly. The engine roars and Sierra looks at me in confusion hut I shrug my shoulder. He then drives off.

"Did that-" Parker starts and I nod, cutting her off.

"Just get in, we have lots to do before they arrive!"

I finish lightly curling Sierra's hair and she starts on her makeup. I begin working on my own hair which I wanted to do since forever for senior year.

I already curled my hair and I'm thankful I got long thick blonde hair from my mom. I twist two front pieces and conjoined it back together. I tie it with an elastic band then put a beautiful gold hair clip in the back.

I wait to put on my dress so I sit on the bed chatting with the girls. Parker is doing her makeup, which consists of whites. Sierra is doing a neutral look with more glitter and shine. My makeup was whites and light blues. I looked at the forecast earlier today and it was supposed to rain hard later during the night. The girls didn't worry and we would just have to run to the guys' cars once we leave.

After the girls were finished, we all took turns going into our dresses. Parker went first and when she walked out, she looked like a freaking goddess. The red matches her already tanned skin tone, her dark hair cascading down her back with two small braids near the front, and her dark red lipstick she decided to put on just fits so well. Evan is just so damn lucky.

"You. Look. Hot." Sierra twirls her around and I take a photo of the two. Parker laughs and stands by the door as Sierra goes in to change. I haven't seen the dress I don't think and either way, it's going to fit just right for her.

Sierra walks out and my jaw drops, including Parker's. Her dress is white silk and at the top, there are thinner straps and the front is like a crossover. It has a slit on her right leg and it flows down so beautifully. Her curves fit the dress perfectly and I nearly cry.

"Holy fucking shit!" I squeal and she laughs, giving us a spin.

"Kaydon is going to lose his mind," Parker teases and Sierra visibly blushes. They both hand me my dress and I walk into the bathroom.

I let out a breath. This dress I'm planning to keep. This dress will make me feel good. That's my wish and hope. Every year, every dress, I throw away. Not this one.

I slip the blue dress on and the material just clings onto my body, hugging it to show off my hips and waist. I fix the straps at top and I look at myself in the mirror. If I told myself a month ago that I am confident in who I am now, I wouldn't believe it. Now look where I am.

I look good, I tell myself. I actually believe it.

Opening the door, I walk out. Parker and Sierra's expression turns into huge grins and they walk over to me, holding my hand. My beautiful fucking best friends.

"You look amazing, Cam." Sierra says softly. Parker twirls me around and I laugh, since we're barefoot. I grab my heels and slip them on.

They were with straps that tie up and up in a cross style and were pretty tall. I'm already talk and these would make me almost Ty's height but just below his chin, I imagine. Sierra has gold heels at the same height as mine and Parker has black. We all sat around talking and laughing before the guys texted the group chat letting us know they're here.

Like on time, I hear the door to the living room open and hear the commotion of guys waiting downstairs. I take a deep breath and I can tell Sierra and Parker are waiting for me to leave.

"I really hope Evan chose a good suit, I sweat to god." Parker mutters and we all chuckle. Sierra puts a hand on her shoulder reassuringly.

"He did, don't you worry." she says and Parker smiles at her thankfully.

I open my bedroom door and we all walk down in a single file down the steps. I can see Evan's face turn into pure shock and his cheeks turn a tinge of red as he stands there baffled over Parker. Kaydon's face is in awe and admiration of Sierra and I can see him almost tear up at the sight of her. Blake at the end looks at me in pride and I can see him steal a glance at Parker for a second with an expression I can't explain.

For the guy I almost kissed, his face is pure shocked. His jaw dropped, eyes wide, and hands frozen in motion. Ty is fitting well a white collar long sleeve under his black tux vest, a coat on his shoulders, and black dress pants doing wonders for his long legs. Everything is fitted so well to his body.

"You did good picking this," I compliment, patting his shoulder and he still looks starstruck. I go over to Blake, hugging him. He picked a grey coat and grey dress pants with a black button up underneath, two buttons open at the top.

"You, my brother, I am impressed by your choice." I tease and he flips me off. He grabs my hand to spin me and he smiles happily.

"You look beautiful, my sister."

I hug him again and he does as well. I pull away to look at the other boys' outfits. Evan is wearing a normal suit like every other guy would, but everything is hugging his body, showing off muscle for days. Kaydon is of course in an all black theme. Black dress pants, black coat, and a black button up with three un buttoned at the top. Sierra and him are talking and he just looks in awe of her.

"Shall we head to the cars?" Ty announces and we all agree, heading out. There are two cars, Evan's and Ty's.

"How about me, Parker, Kaydon, and Sierra and then Ty can have Cam and Blake," Evan suggests and we all headed to our respected cars.

Blake hops in the back seat and I walk to the passenger. I slide in and the car smells like Ty's cologne. Ty turns on his car and starts driving all the way to school.

It wasn't awkward, just silent and he and Blake mostly chatted about football and the game. I stare out my window, looking at the night sky with clouds and the houses with lights on still, string lights on the roofs. It's peaceful. I don't know how to feel with Ty, after he looked at me in shock. I swore something flashed in his eyes when I walked into view.

"You okay there?" Blake rubs my shoulder and I nod with a grin.

"Just thinking," I reply and I see Ty looking at me from the corner of his eye before turning his gaze back to driving. Blake and I get into discussion about Harry and I tell him what happened after Blake left our house.

I go into detail with what I said, what he said, everything. Blake looks pretty pissed and Ty's hands were holding onto the wheel so tightly, I thought he would lose feeling in his hands.

"You fucking punched him right?" Blake asks and I shake my head.

"No, why would-"

"If I'm not there and he gets close to you again, punch his fucking face off," Blake says roughly. His voice was stern and I slowly nod.

Blake is always protective whenever I'm alone at home and Harry does shit. If anything happens to me, he'll feel guilt which I don't want him to. He's a great brother, he really is.

Ty turns off the engine and Blake and I look out to see the school. People were walking in, talking, and looking excited. We all get out of the car and Ty and I just wait behind our group.

"C," I hear him say and I turn to him. We're closer than usual but not like yesterday. I turn my head in question and his eyes just gaze over me visibly.

I have never felt this much on me. He clears his throat and looks back up to my eyes again. His dark brown eyes full of something I can't explain.

"You look phenomenal," he says breathlessly. My cheeks flush red and I smile at him genuinely.

"You don't look bad yourself," I reply back and he chuckles. I do mean it though, he looks really, really good. Everything just fits him well. Maybe too well.

Parker comes running up to me, grabbing my hand yanking me forward.

"C, Taylor is playing, come on!" she yanks me in and I turn around to see Ty talk to one of his teammates on the team.

He turns while talking to look at me and smiles. I wave and his teammate shoves him with a playful grin at us and Ty flips him off laughing.

When we walk in, I just see tons of people, so much more than every other year. I don't feel insecure how I did before. Back then, I would be so scared of looking at other girls who had prettier dresses than me. Now?

I feel really good about myself. I compliment a few girls and others did the same. This formal will be a one to remember. Nothing can top this.
