As most of you must have read my previous post, you all know what has happened or still happening.

I have informed Wattpad of this issue and I was waiting for their response to make any decision.

They informed me that this site is not copying any content from Wattpad, but viewing Wattpad through different web pages. These sites are mirror sites, they look at Wattpad through a lens that shows their logo, etc. These sites are not safe as they carry malware.

By clicking the sites link you are risk of malware attack, so please run a full safety scan of your device if you have clicked any such link. I am sorry I was not aware of this earlier otherwise I would not have shared the website link on my post. But, now I have removed the link from my every post.

They have asked me to paste this message in the description of the stories that I post online for my safety and my readers' safety so that they will be aware of such sites. I am pasting that message down below and also in the comments section for all my readers who write as well. So that you don't need to type it down again and you can simply copy this message and paste in your description too.

"If you are reading this story on any other platform other than Wattpad you are very likely to be at risk of a malware attack. If you wish to read this story in it's original, safe, form, please go to (Wattpad User Link or the link of your profile on which you post other than Wattpad). Thank you."

Wattpad is aware of these websites and working to take them down. However, most of these sites are located in countries where copyright law is not taken seriously or are least concerned about such laws, so it will take a very long time to get such sites removed.

After their response, I raised my concern about the safety of my work. I asked them should I continue publishing my stories on this platform without worrying about it getting copied or stolen. Because we are trusting Wattpad with our work to ensure its safety.

They told me if I don't want my work on these mirror websites then the only way might be is not to publish. Even if I get my work protected then also there are chances someone will steal or copy it. Just like social media sites, even in Wattpad, there are chances people might steal my work even if it is copyrighted. The books which are licensed and in paperback there are also being copied and being published on different online websites.

All my work or any other writer's work whose work is copied or stolen need a DMCA to take down the work.

Honestly, this thing is really disheartening but we can't do anything much about it. So, for now, what I have decided is that I will not continue to publish my new stories on Wattpad which I have started publishing as they are new and don't have many reads because most of the readers haven't started reading them. I will continue publishing these stories on Inkitt and make announcements regarding chapters in case anyone who is interested in these stories can read them on my Inkitt profile.

I will not take down It's Complicated because it is really special for me and there are many readers who love reading it on this platform so I can't do this to them. I will also continue publishing Always Together as we are too far in the story and if I will suddenly stop publishing, it will be unfair to the readers who love Always Together and eagerly wait for the updates. The same goes for It's Complicated 2, even though I have just started publishing it, but many readers were waiting for it for almost a year for this sequel that's why I will continue publishing it on Wattpad.

But apart from these three stories, I will continue writing the rest of my stories on Inkitt. I am sorry if you think I am letting my readers down in any way because it is not my intention, I just don't want all of my work on these shitty mirror sites.

All these people who own such sites or steal someone else's work are a fucking piece of shit. (pardon my language). They don't know the meaning of hard work and look for ways to earn money without doing anything. People like them deserve a standing ovation of the middle finger. There many colorful words in my vocabulary with which I want to address them, but I should just keep them to myself.

However, feel free to honor these shitty people with any choice of words you like. (But please do this in your mind 😜.)

Lastly, I always try to focus on good if anything bad happens, this time also I would like to do the same. If this thing would not have happened I would not have known, how many people are there who love me and are ready to stand with me. Now I know in my heart these people... my readers, even if they don't know me personally, are with me no matter what the situation is. I am overwhelmed with your support and truly thankful to everyone for their kind and encouraging words.
