Author's POV

"Abhi can you leave your laptop for 5mins and help me out here", Meera says looking annoyed.

"2mins babe, I'm almost done", he says staring at the screen. She huffs in annoyance and turns back to her phone. This thing has been going on for the past one hour.

A couple of minutes later Abhi closes his laptop and walks over to where Meera is sitting scrolling through her phone. "Ok now tell me, what is it that you want my help with?"

"Hmm", she mutters not looking up from her phone.

"Meera, are you even listening to me?"

"Hmm", she hums absentmindedly. 

"Wait, are you ignoring me", he asks sitting next to her. She closes her phone and gets up. She's about to walk away but Abhi holds her hand and pulls such that she lands directly on his lap. Meera yelps and her hands instinctively go to his shoulders for support. Abhi puts his arm around her waist holding her in place. She squirms in her place trying to break free.

"Abhi let me go", she says glaring at him. 

"Please stop moving and no"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes, you know what? This is ridiculous", she says pushing his shoulder but Abhi doesn't budge.

"First tell me what is that you wanted my help with?"

"Does it matter, its done anyways"

"Meera"

"Abhi"

"If you don't tell me I'll...."

"You'll what?", Meera challenges crossing here hands. Abhi looks at her for a second then pokes the side of her ribs. 

Meera's eyes widen as he tickles her. "No no no no, Abhi stop. You can't do this", she squeals as he continues to tickle her. 

"Oh but I can", Abhi says as Meera looses her balance and falls on Abhi, who in turn falls on the bed. Meera tries to get up but Abhi pulls her against him. 

"Abhi...', she begins to say but trails of as she looks at his face which is mere inches apart from hers. He raises a hand tucks a strand of her hair behind her ear, staring intently into her eyes. 

"So, you have to tell me something?", he asks her.

"Hu, I-I was saying t-tha-at , what?", she stutters, clearly still in a daze. Abhi laughs at her and she can fell his body reverberating against her. She slaps his shoulder playfully and glares at him. 

"Ouch, ok ok ", Abhi raises his hands in mock surrender, letting her go. Meera gets up and sits on the edge of the bed. "Now will you tell me ?"

"I wanted your help in choosing a gift for ma and dad"

"Why?"

"Because its their 30th anniversary in two days "

"Right, and there is a party that we have to attend", Abhi groans.

"Why do you say it like its a bad thing?"

"These parties are always go overboard"

"It can't be that bad"

"You'll see. Anyways what have you decided to get them"

"I'll show you", she says while opening her phone.

The past two days went by in a blur and Both Meera and Abhi  were getting ready to go the party. 

"Meera are you done?", Abhi asks fastening his cuffs as he enters the room.

"Yeah, just a minute", she says adjusting her dress. Abhimanyu looks at her and he is completely mesmerized by the angelic beauty in front of him. He walks up to her and and places a hand on her waist to turn her towards him.

Meera shivers as his warm hand comes in contact with her bare waist. She glances up at Abhi who looks no less than a model out of a magazine.

"Sometimes I wonder how is it possible for someone to looks so beautiful all the time", Abhi whispers kissing her jaw. 

"I-I could say the same for you"

"You think I'm beautiful", Abhi asks her looking amused.

"Hmm, very", She replies cheekily and he laughs pulling her closer to him.

"Trust me when I say that even if I spend my entire life telling you how amazing you are, it will be less". "I'm going to have a really hard time tonight", he mutters the last par under his breath.

"Did you say something?"

"hu-No,lets go", Abhi says taking Meera's hand.

They arrive at the Malhotra Mansion which is decorated beautifully and the party is in full swing.  Abhi and Meera head inside and greet everyone. 

After an hour or so, Abhi pulls Meera into a corner. 

"What are you doing?", she asks him.

"We are leaving", he tells her.

"What? But why, we cant just-"

"I'm sure no one will mind come on", Ahi says pulling her with him towards the back door.

"But where are we going?"

"You'll find out soon", he replies shortly as they reach the door. The valet is waiting there with the car. Abhi holds the door open for Meera and then goes over to the drivers seat.  

"Abhi, will you at least tell me where are we going, please", Meera says batting her eyelashes. 

"It's a surprise and that look is not going to work"

Meera huffs and turns to look outside the window. Abhi takes her hand in his and holds it firmly. "We'll be there in about 10mins", he informs her.  

Abhi stops the car near a clearing . Its dark and one can barely see anything. Meera looks around and then at him questioningly. Abhi stand behind her and places his hands over her eyes. 

"Abhi, what-"

"Close your eyes. Just for a minute", Ahi says and Meera does as she's told. "Now slowly walk forward". They stop walking after a minute. Abhi leaves Meera's hand and says, "Keep them closed ok, no peeking" and she nods in response. 

"You can open you eyes now", Abhi says from behind her. Meera slowly opens her eyes and takes in her surroundings. They are in what looks like garden beautifully decorated with fairy lights and flowers

"Abhi this is wo-", she turns around to look at Abhi but she trails off as she sees him on one knee holding a ring. She cover her mouth in shock. 

"Meera", Abhi begins while taking a hold of her hand. "I know I'm doing this very late considering the fact that we are already married but anyways, we dint start of well but I soon got to know this amazing person. I fell in love you , I am in love with you. I love everything about you form the way you laugh to how you scrunch your nose when you're angry. I love they way you are with Reyansh and my family-our family. I could go on and on but basically I love you more than anything. I may not be perfect but will you spend you entire life with me?  "

Through this whole confession Meera had tears in her eyes. "Yes", she says and Abhi grins at her putting the ring on her finger.

He stands up and Meera throws her arms around him. "I love you and will love always and forever", she says and he captures her lips with his kissing her deeply. 

They break apart after a few moments. Meera examines her finger with the ring. 

"It's beautiful", she tells him.

"I'm glad you liked it", Abhi replies kissing the back of her hand. He checks the time by his watch and turns towards Meera. "We have to leave now or else we'll be late".

"Where are we going now?" she asks him.

"Don't you our honeymoon is long overdue?"

"Wait, we are going right now?"

"Yes, come on", Abhi says while walking towards the car.

"But what about-"

"You don't have to worry about anything. Luggage is already there and Reyansh is staying with ma for a week. Everything is sorted out", Abhi explains while driving to the airport.

They arrive within a few minutes and Abhi leads her towards his private jet. 

"But where are we going?", Meera asks Abhi.

"Anywhere you want to", he replies casually.

"What really?"

"Well this plane is going somewhere but from there we can go anywhere you want"

"It doesn't matter where we go as long as I'm with you", Meera says placing her head on his shoulder. He kisses her forehead, pulling her closer to him.

"I love you", Abhi says stroking her hair as the plane is about to take off.

"I love you too", Meera replies arching up to kiss his cheek. Meera looks out of the window to see the city lights shrink below them. There is no other place she'd rather be than in Abhi's arms.
