Meera's POV

I wake up in the morning pressed against Abhi. Just then I hear Rey cry. After struggling for a while, I finally free myself from his hold and go to Rey's room. I pick him up and after 2 mins he stops crying. I take him and head towards the living room as I don't want to disturb Abhi. 

I put Rey down on the floor and he starts crawling. He goes towards a table and tries standing up with its support. Is he trying to walk? I go and sit on the floor next to him  and help him stand up with my support. 

Just then Abhi comes down and looks at us. I gesture him to sit across from me silently. He does so. I make Rey stand facing Abhi. I slowly let him go. He wobbles a little and walk a few step towards Abhi who catches him.

"Did he just walk ?", Abhi asks in awe, clearly getting emotional. I grin and nod.

I stretch my hands out and say," come here Reyansh". Abhi help him stand up and he makes his way towards me with small step. He falls onto be squealing. I hug him and he snuggles into me.

Abhi calls Rey again but he ignore him and just hugs me.  Abhi pouts at this and I laugh.

"sometimes I feel that he like you more than me", Abhi grumbles.

"Really, I like you more to", I say and kiss Rey on the top of his head. 

"What really , I feel so left out now", he says playfully. I stretch my hands out and he comes and hugs us tightly. Reyansh is in between squealing and trying to say something. 

Abhi leans down and kisses me . Just as he does that, Reyansh lets out a cry and smacks Abhi, in the face. 

"What the hell", Abhi yells. Reyansh looks scared and starts crying while burying his face in the crook of my neck. I cant help myself so I start laughing while consoling Rey. Luckily he stops crying and Abhi still looks dumbfounded.

"Did Rey just hit me for kissing you", he looked confused and cute. 

"I guess", I say , laughing at him.

"Reyansh is really surprising me today and why are you laughing so much", Rey smiles smugly at him while I stop laughing .

I kiss his cheek and get up with Reyansh still in my arms.

"Come on , let's eat , I'm hungry", I say while heading towards the kitchen.

" Sarla aunty wont come in this week", he says.

"Okay, cool . Then lets get cooking", I say .

"I ,uh cant cook", Abhi says rubbing the back of this neck sheepishly.

I roll my eyes and say, "Well then it looks like I'm making breakfast for you. What do you want?"

"I don't mind anything as long as you are you are cooking", he replies smiling cheekily.

We go into the kitchen and I open the fridge. It's pretty much empty. I remove some eggs , veggies and bread. 

"Abhi, we need to go grocery shopping ", I say.

"We? You want us to go shopping for grocery. I have never done that. "

"She's not here so we have to go and let today will be your first"

"Don't you have to go to work today?"

"Not now but for sometime in the evening . What about you?"

"I'm the boss babe. I can go or not go whenever I want"

"Great then we all are going after breakfast", I say while chopping the capsicums. Abhi makes Reyansh's baby formula and places it in front of him. I'm breaking the eggs and stirring them in a bowl to make omelets. I feel two hands creep around my waist and a head rest in the crook of my neck. His touch literally sends shivers down my body.

"Abhi let me do my work", I say

"Go on, I'm not stopping you", he says and I can feel him smirk against my neck.

I leave the bowl and the whisk and turn around to face him. Our faces were mere centimeters apart. I bring my face closer to him , teasing him on purpose. I can see his eyes darken.

"Don't start something you cant finish", he whispers huskily .

I lean forward so that my lips just brush his jaw and his hands tense. I put my hands on his chest and push him . He stumbles back completely caught of guard. I chuckle and turn back to my work.

"Meera, you shouldn't have done that", he says and I hum in response. The next thing I know I'm being hauled up and placed on the counter. Abhi grips my waist and kisses me. I kiss him back with equal passion. My legs are wrapped around his waist . His hands go under  my shirt , his touch burning me and mine are entangled in his hair. He bites my lower lip and I moan . Suddenly a plastic spoon is thrown our way but it luckily misses us and Rey yells,"dada".

 We both freeze and slowly turn towards him.

"Are my ears ringing?", Abhi asks in disbelief.

"I don't think so", I reply.

He walks over to Rey and picks him up from his high chair.

"Reyansh say it again please, say dada", Abhi prompts and after a few minutes Reyansh says it again. Abhi looks so happy that he literally has tears in his eyes. My heart flutters looking at the duo.   I return back to making breakfast. I make omelets, toast and coffee. We sit on the table and start eating . In that moment I realize that I could see my life here with Abhi and Reyansh. Maybe this whole ordeal isn't so bad after all.

"This is good ", Abhi says.

"Why thank you, Its one of the few things I can actually make", I say. Its true I can cook but only a few items.  

We finish eating and Abhi puts the dishes in the dishwasher. After that both of go to get ready. Abhi gets Reyansh changed too. 

I take a shower and change my clothes.

I grab my mobile and wallet and head downstairs. Abhi is wearing casual denims and is looking hot if I might add.

Reyansh, whose in with Abhi notices me and and makes grabby hands in my direction asking me to hold him. I take him from Abhi and kiss his cheek. In return he places a sloppy kiss on mine and smiles proudly. Just like his father. Abhi too notices this and smirks. 

We head towards the car and I place Rey in his booster seat. Abhi starts the car and we head towards Star Mart. Abhi pulls into the almost empty parking lot. Its not surprising since its a week day and the timing is odd.

Abhi puts Rey in his stroller and we head towards the complex. Its basically deserted. I take a trolley and we head towards the food section. On the way we pass the clothes sections. Abhi wears a ridiculous pair of sunglasses and a scarf.

"How am I looking ", he asked trying to pose like a vogue model.

"Perfectly charming", I say trying to stifle my laugh. He keeps the accessories back and we head towards the food section. He picks up two apples and tries juggling them but  fails miserably. I let out a laugh looking at him struggle.

"Lets see how well you can do it", he says passing me the apples. I pretend to pull my  sleeves and take the apples from his hand. I manage to do it right three times before one apple goes flying into the pile with potatoes. Abhi bursts out laughing as a few of them fall down.

"Hey that was better than what you did", I say and he raises his hands in defense. We continue shopping. It takes us almost one hour to get everything. Mainly because we keep goofing around, luckily Rey fell asleep some time ago. We check out and head home. 

By the time we reach home it 1pm and both of us are too tired to do anything so we decide to just order pizza. Reyansh too is up now and he calling Abhi 'dada', which Abhi totally loves.

We spend the rest of the afternoon just talking. Ok, talking and kissing but mostly talking. Its 5pm now and I have to go to the hospital now. I bid Abhi and Reyansh goodbye. He insists on driving me there but I refuse. Abhi ditches going to office and decides to work from home. 

I reach the hospital, check up on my patients and finish off some appointments.

I reach home by 10. I enter the house and make my way upstairs , searching for Abhi and Rey. I find them both in Rey's room playing with some toys. They hear me enter and turn towards me. I go in and kiss Rey on the cheek which he returns. 

Abhi pulls me down to where he's sitting , hugs me and kisses my temple. After changing and putting Reyansh to sleep, I too fall asleep in Abhi's arms.
