Abhimanyu's POV

(Same time as previous chapter)

I wake up hugging a pillow. Where is Meera? I look around the room but she was not here. I dress up and go downstairs looking for her but she was no where to bee seen.

"Who are you looking for?", Nikhil suddenly comes behind me and asks.

"No one", I reply nonchalantly.

"I saw Meera a while ago heading towards the garden"

"Really, I have been looking for he-", I stop, realizing I just admitted that I was looking for her. Nikhil laughs at my expression. "Come on , I'm sure she's fine."

We were sitting in the living room when I see Meera enter with Karan , holding hands and laughing . Why the hell was he holding her hand? Then he drags her into the kitchen and I'm furious. 

The rest of the time too she ignores me and when its time to leave only Meera and I are in a car. She starts singing along with a bollywood song . I'm honestly a little surprised that she knows hindi songs. We start talking and she tells me about the movies she likes and a little about her mom to. 

I loose it when she tries quoting a dialogue. I have never laughed so much in my entire life. I even tell her that I actually like DDLJ. We have a wonderful time in the car.

I then take her to my favorite spot. I have never been here with anyone before. We sit down and I order for both of us . The waiter is constantly staring at her and that really pisses me off . The thing that astonishes me the most is how oblivious she is to all the attention she gets. 

We finish eating and are walking back to the car when she says

You don't have to stay with me. We were both forced into this. You do-", but I cut her off.

"We don't have to talk about that now", I try to change the topic

"Ok but promise me that you'll tell me if you find someone you like. I don't want to spoil your life."

"You are not spoiling anything. I wont find anyone I like. Where is this coming from", I reply. doesn't she understand. I don't want anyone else. I want her. 

"Maybe not now, but after a year or two what if you-", I'm frustrated . Without thinking about the consequences I say .

"Meera, I don't want anyone but you". I finally admit. She's shocked for a  moment but I'm literally on cloud nine when she says that she wants to give us a chance to. 

I'm so happy that I kiss her but she doesn't respond back. She was shocked or something I guess because she kisses me again. I love the feeling of her lips against mine we break the kiss and I hug her. I don't ever want to let her go. I break the hug hesitantly, almost immediately missing the feeling of her in  my arms.

We go and sit in the car. I hold her hand and start driving.

After an hour or so, we reach the Malhotra mansion and pick Reyansh up. He is sleeping on Meera's lap. I look at them after 5mins to find that Meera too has fallen asleep with her head against the window. She looks so beautiful while sleeping. 

We reach home. I take Rey from her lap carefully so that he doesn't wake up. I don't want to wake Meera up but I have no other option.

I slowly shake her, "Meera, love, wake up , we're home", I say. She slowly lifts her head while rubbing her eyes. I open the door for her and she steps out stumbling a little. I put an arm around her to steady her while she leans into me, still half asleep. 

Somehow we make it to her room and she gives me a sleepy smile and enters her room. I then put Reyansh in his cot and head towards my room. I change and lie down on the bed trying to sleep. But sleep is miles away. I already miss her and her calming scent. After tossing and turning for a few more minutes, I finally get up and make my way towards her room. 

I slowly open the door and enter into her room, its dark but I can make out her sleeping figure. I go and lie down beside her, her scent enveloping and calming me almost instantly. She stirs and cracks open an eye. 

"Abhi is that you", she asks softly

"I couldn't sleep alone so do you mind if I sleep here?"

She shakes her head and scoots closer to me. I pull her into my arms and soon fall asleep.

I wake up in the morning  holding Meera. Her head was on my shoulder and my arm was around her waist. I just lie there recalling yesterday's events. It all felt so surreal. I feel alive and at the same time peaceful with her. 

I kiss her forehead and pull her closer. Should I wake her up? Her alarm went of 15mins ago, I should but I don't want to. After 5mins I feel her stir a little. She slowly opens her eyes and I am lost in her brown orbs. 

"Good Morning", she says giving me a small smile.

"oh it certainly is a good morning if I wake up next to you", I say and he blushes a little. She picks her phone up and checks the time. 

"Its already seven? Why dint you wake me up", she says jumping out of bed. 

"Meera, its fine if you are a little late one day"

"No its not. I have to get ready ", saying this she rushes into the bathroom. Well ok. I get up and go to my room to get ready.

After getting ready , I take Reyansh and go down to the dining table. I'm drinking coffee when Meera comes in typing  furiously on her phone. She takes the jar and pours some  juice still typing. After a good 10mins she keeps her mobile down and looks up at me.

"So, finally you notice me"

"Aw, is somebody wants attention", she says and I nod. No use pretending otherwise. 

"When will you come home?", I ask.

"I'm not sure but it'll be pretty late", she says.

"Cant you come earlier"

"I don't think so, I've got a lot line up for today. I have go now,  bye", she says while getting up from her chair. She then kisses Reyansh's cheek and heads out.

"Where's my kiss", I call out and I see her shake her head. I go behind her and pull her back. She collides with me , I turn her around and kiss her. She kisses me back and I grip her waist while she entwins her hands behind my neck. We pull away after some time catching our breath. That kiss was hot. 

She then turns around and leaves. I go back to and get Reyansh changed. Sarla aunty comes in after 15mins and even I leave for work

Currently I'm sitting in a meeting with all the department heads but I can't seem to concentrate. My mind is fixed on a certain dark haired beauty. 

"Is this fine sir", someone asks me.

"I'm sorry can you repeat the idea", I say and everyone stares at me. Right did I just say sorry? Also since when do I not pay attention in meetings? Everyone is shocked while Nikhil is trying to control his laughter.

After the meeting is done, I go back to my office and start reading a file. But I can't seem to concentrate , my mind keeps going back to her. 

I don't even notice Nikhil enter my office.

"Dreaming about Meera?", he asks and i nod. I hear him laugh and that snaps me out of my dream land. 

"What do you want", I snap.

"I just wanted to see for myself that the great Abhimanyu Malhotra is in love"

"I don't love her", I protest. I definitely like her a lot but love? I don't know, its too soon for that.

"Sure you don't "

"I guess you don't have any work but I would like to complete mine in silence"

"Sure, you can go back to reading the file that you are holding upside down", he says and runs out of my office. I look at the file and indeed I have been holding it upside down. 

I soon complete all my work and head home.

I enter the house and find Reyansh sitting on the watching some cartoon on the tv with aunty. He immediately jumps into my arms when I go to pick him up. I look around for Meera but then realize that she will come late today. 

I change, eat dinner and put Rey to sleep. I decide to do some work while waiting for Meera. 

Its around 11.30 when I hear the door open. I rush down to greet Meera.

"You're still awake?", she looks shocked and tired. 

"Yeah, I couldn't sleep without you. Are you tired? Did you eat?"

"Yes, now stop worrying so much", she says . I lift her up bridal style and begin walking towards the stairs.

"Abhi what are you doing, put me down", she says wriggling against my hold.

"I though you were tired ",I say innocently.

"I can walk on my own ",she say folding are hands against her chest. I jerk slightly while walking and she puts her hands around my neck holding me tightly to prevent herself from falling. I laugh at her reaction.

"Don't worry, I wont let you fall", I say and I mean every word of it.

We reach her room and I put her down on the bed.

"Can you go out, I need to change", she says

"You can change her , I don't mind", I say while smirking. To my dismay she takes her clothes and goes into the washroom. 

She comes out 10mins later wearing shorts and a tank top. I cant help but stare at her long sexy legs. She comes and sits on the bed, but I pull her on top of me .

"What are y-", she begins to say but i cut her off. 

"Shh, lets sleep". She hugs me back and the last thing I remember is looking at her beautiful face.
