"I DON'T WANT to live anymore," Sersha grumbled beside me. I turned my face to watch her same identical mask cladded face.

"I decided that the day I was born but here I am." I sighed as Madison brushed my hair while I lay on her bed. "And now I have matured to granting someone else's life more miserable. Specifically, Mercer."

I had concocted god knows how many plans in my head. So many fantastic scenarios to humiliate Aaron. Some were rather... extra like the one where I'd choke him in the public pool but when you stoop this low there's no going back.

"I'm having a major crisis as well," Sersha announced bouncing out of bed causing the cucumber slices to fall on Madison's fluffy carpet.

"You better clean that up. That carpet was fucking expensive." Madison grumbled eyeing the pink vintage rug as her hands increased in speed tangling my hair.

"That's not the point. The point is I just heard the worst possible news in the history of disasters. I had a fifteen-minute break down in the bathroom and then another on my bed. Then I cried in my dream." Sersha grimaced.

I tapped my fingers on my stomach as I stared up at the ceiling. I enjoyed what Madison had done with her room. A sparkly disco ball was placed with confetti-like lights arraying out. It was very hobo-ish.

"What happened?" I questioned straightening up. My head felt like it was pumping a volcano.

Sersha tucked a red lock behind her hair before she sat crisscrossed on the carpet. I watched Madison in worry, but she just kept staring at the damn cucumbers. "Reuben is tutoring Olivia."

"What." I gawked. "But he called down when Mr. Harrison asked him to help Vianna on the math graph." I had witnessed the dismissal Reuben had put out. As polite as he had sounded it was a direct shot by the look on Vianna's face. The poor girl was as red as a tomato spluttering apology for no reason.

"I know." Sersha groaned rubbing the face mask from her cheeks. "But he was smiling at her. He said she was looking pretty. He never called me pretty. He never called me anything other than Sersha."

I wince at the rawness of pain in her voice. I nudge Madison from whatever reverie she was having about her carpet and pulled her down towards Sersha with me. The redhead plopped her head into my lap. "I've loved him for three years Bryce and he never looked at me any other way. It was always so formal like he didn't want anything to do with me. And yet Olivia was a jackpot for him."

I pat Sersha's back with a frown. I was on a new mission now. Operation getting Sersha and Reuben together. I know I shouldn't mingle but hell both were shy and antisocial so a force like me was supposed to reckon in this. I was Sersha's genie right now and quite possibly Reuben's future nemesis if things went wrong. I doubted they would.

"Sersh have you ever given Reuben any signals?" Madison asked picking the cucumbers and tossing them to the bin.

Sersha gave her a dead-ass look and scowled. "I told him I liked him in year eight Maddie. If that isn't direct, I don't know what is."

I gnaw my bottom lips in a thinking process. "What if I don't know by some miracle you both ended up maybe locked up in the school cafeteria or someplace and the forced proximity might help?" I said nonchalantly.

I expected Sersha to fuck me off but instead, her face lit up like the fourth of July. "Oh my god. Yes. I read forced proximity enables a lot of emotions from men and women- I – What?" She demanded watching me and Madison wide-eyed.

I glanced at Madison who held the same stare.

Our girl Sersha was a kinky motherfucker. "Nothing." I shrugged not wanting to make her uncomfortable.

"Damn Sersha. You read some batshit romance stuff." Madison shouted while I slapped my forehead. "I bet if I looked at your search history there would be how to get into different positions with handcuffs."

Sersha's cheeks turned the color that resembled a tomato.

I rolled to side the side laughing as my vision blurred while Sersha hugged her knees in horror. It was so fucking adorable. "Hey, the quiet ones are always the ones with the burning passion. Or so I've read." I told her.

Madison hollered wiping her eyes.

"Alright enough." Sersha covered her face with her hands. "Might I remind you we are here for Madison's plan to degrade her best friend?"

I sobered up not done with my jokes, but I let it slide turning my attention to Madison who untwined her braid. "It best be amazing Maddie or I'm switching to my plan. I'll give you a little preview. Me, The ground and Mercer six feet under."

Madison rolled her eyes at me which I poked my tongue to. "I do have a very thoughtful and courageous plan. But only for the brave of heart."

I perked up with a frown. "Cut the confetti and give me the real stuff."

She nodded as Sersha pressed her front to the carpet cupping her jaw. "Okay so hear me out. We play the player."

I digested the words and gave her a huh.

Madison bit her lip in amusement. "What is Aaron known for?"

"Breaking hearts." Sersha piped. I followed along wanting to see where this was going.

"Yeah. So, what if we give him a taste of his own medicine." Madison concluded excitedly as if she'd found the cure to the dull world.

I tilted my head and gushed with a bright smile. "Bless you, Madison. You'd go that far for our dear friendship. You really are a true warrior through- Ow." I rubbed the back of my head where she uphanded me.

Sersha broke into a fit of giggles to which I glared.

"No dumbass. You do the work. Aaron wants you right? So, you give him just that, but you play him. Lead him on. And then when you have him every now and then pull out an Uno reverse card and throw it on his damn face like a girlboss."

I think my jaw might just have landed in the magma chambers below us. "What the fuck? That's like seducing the seducer. Not playing the player. You got your facts wrong Maddie." I shook my head in denial. No fucking way was I giving Aaron that. What the fuck did she think me off?

"Oh, come on." Madison groaned clasping my arm. "You'd play the part so well. Plus, you want him to suffer. What's better than leaving a guy hot and bothered."

"Nuh-uh." I denied. "I'd rather think of a million and one ways better. And I'm touched that you have such faith in me, darling, but I hold no package deal that might actually demand dominance."

"You're kidding me, right?" Madison looked at Sersha who smiled. "Everything about you is perfect Bryce. You want revenge so give him his own work but with style. You're only playing with his ways. He's got to hate the game, not the player remember."

"Yeah." Sersha nodded. "There's nothing to lose."

I let out a bitter chuckle at that. "Even nothing becomes something in games." I shook my head and looked at their confused face. "He'd have a broken heart by the time I'm done with it."

Madison pouted at me. "Aww, Bryce you're so sweet."

I flipped her off with a huff. "Fine. But only to an extent. And if anything goes wrong, I'm suing you both."

They both held up their hands.

"If one of us loses we all fall," Sersha announced. "You mess with one of us you mess with the whole pack."

"Alright, alpha Sersha." I drawled lying on my back. "You know this could go both ways."

Madison hummed in agreement. "Yes. But it's a shallow game and if Aaron does have a problem with this then I think it would be safe to say he's a hypocrite."

It was tempting to see the look on Aaron's face when I would be done with him. I wouldn't give him much but that would always have him running after me. I wouldn't say I'm cocky but I'm complex as hell. I know my way around emotions like the back of my hand.

But right now, my thought was chimed by another unfortunate thought. "I have a problem too," I announced to them. "Emery has broken the limits."

"She never had them." Madison pointed out. I kicked her ankle teasingly.

"Yes, but she's got way out of hand. She let a partially naked guy sleep in my room without my consent."

Sersha pulled in a breath her eyebrows knitted together. "Who the fuck told her she could do that."

I flipped onto my stomach and exclaimed. "That's what I told her, but she was having her battles with me. I don't know what to do."

"Report her," Madison told me. I looked up wearily. I hated being the tattletale. It always put a bad look on me not the first-handed person. Every time I'd complain about the twins the backlash would be sent on me.

I sighed heavily and picked at the carpet. "I'll do it when she goes overboard."

"It already has."

I shook my head looking at them both. "No, but she'll tire out eventually. Bryce Weston has that effect on people." They both mustered a chuckle as did I. I sat up with a grin. "I have a brilliant idea."

"Oh no," Sersha whispered to Madison.

"I'm serious." I folded my legs and grinned. "I think this school had gotten a little dull don't you think?"

Madison quickly shook her head. "Nope. Nada. Uh uh. I think that incident when Principal Simone couldn't use the stapler was really hilarious. Am I right?" Sersha nodded enthusiastically while I groaned out loud.

"So, fucking hilarious. But I think it's about time that a show was put on over here. Especially with Ms. Lennon. She could use some surprise in her life."

Sersha blew out her mouth. "She could get a heart attack."

I feigned shock placing my hand on my forehead. "Do you think of me so vain?"

"Nope." Madison popped her lips. "But we care for you not to get expelled."

I scoffed, "Puh-lease. This is a school for troubled kids. Trouble is practically in its profile. Plus, it's harmless. A little graffiti never hurt anyone."

I eyed them wickedly knowing all too well about the spray cans in art. No one used them so a little shitty design couldn't hurt anyone. Ms. Lennon was already on my nerves sending me glares and shouting at me to lower my skirt and be a decent human. Emery had her skirt up to her fucking ass but noo all eyes had to be on me.

And it wasn't anything new really. I was just goddamn bored. And if mother dearest had given up on me and ignored my calls then I certainly would like to think she'd enjoy this early Christmas present.

"I don't know Bryce." Sersha picked at her wrist. "It could go wrong."

Madison contemplated the thought while I waited patiently. "I'm in."

I arched my eyebrows at Sersha encouragingly. "Fine." She sighed in defeat.

This was going to be a little fraction of me.

...

"Fuck. This self-portrait turned into looking like balls." Madison whispered. I chuckled doing my own fuck off signs.

I pulled at my green mask that Sersha had nicked from the art room and lent it to us. I shook my can harder letting out the last of the pain as I went around the classroom drawing colorful images.

I frowned at the image. It could use a little more dick.

I glanced at Sersha who was drawing flowers and trees. Leave it to her to brighten up the world.

I bit my lip as an idea popped in mind. Taking the black spray can I decided to do a doodle of Shakespeare and spice him up a bit by putting pot and marijuana around him. I decided to add Ms. Lennon fanning herself next to him. A little too much but it had my style all over it.

Plus, I gave her a nun-length skirt.

"We should get going guys," Sersha whispered cautiously checking the room. "I think a guard's coming."

"Shit." I cursed bagging all the spray paints. Madison hauled open the window and helped Sersha over and waited for me. I froze at the sight of the flashlight coming closer to the room. I roped the bag around me as both of us clambered over the window. I double-checked back as a guard came in.

Sersha ducked my head down and indicated us to crawl. I did so towards the courtyard where we'd go through the cafeteria and towards our dorms. My knees were hissing at the ground as we followed practically banging our heads against each other's asses.

I stopped against Sersha's and scowled as she froze. "What happened?" I hissed.

"I think there's someone in the cafeteria." She whispered her words wobbling.

Madison came upfront and shook her head. "I don't think so. We should run now. The guard won't be long."

I nodded and dusted my knees as we crouched and ran like hyenas on crack through the courtyard and towards the cafeteria. We crashed into the doors trying to pry it open for dear life.

Madison clawed the handle hard and pushed us through where we slammed it shut and fell on the floor out of breath. "That was the shadiest shit I've ever done." Madison breathed onto my calf.

"I once fucking accidentally gave marijuana to my chicken," Sersha whispered on my back. "And then I cried because I thought it was misfunctioning."

My lungs ached against the cold floor. "I went into somebody else's house and fell asleep there only to be found by the police and my mother. I had no fucking idea what even happened but apparently, I had risked an eighty-six-year-old grandmother to a heart attack."

We all let out a breathy laugh as we fell in silence.

Rustling echoed in front of us and in mere seconds I was up and peeking at the intruders. Their voices were muffled but I made the words out.

"...No way..."

"We're fucking done for."

"I left my socks there..."

I edged behind the long arrays of tables and peeked through one of the benches. There were three guys wearing masks as well and stalked towards the vending machine shaking out drinks and whatnot.

I looked wide-eyed at Madison and Sersha who paled behind me.

"Well, if it isn't everybody's favorite. Bryce fucking Weston." I froze at the all too familiar sound behind me. I slowly turned around my eyes connected with the one person I loathed the most.

Aaron Mercer.

I was done for.
