"Christmas break starts tomorrow" Hunter said as he sat down next to Zyria in honors government. Zyria smiled and nodded as she shrugged.

"It will be good to finally sleep in again" Zyria commented and Hunter nodded in agreement.

"Amen to that" Jada said sitting on the table as she ate some chips. Zyria put her hand out for one and Jada poured some chips in her hand.

"Hey" Everyone looked up to see Kaia standing in front of them looking tired as ever. Zyria smiled at her and Jada offered her some chips.

"No thanks" she mumbled before walking to her table sitting down laying her head down on the table.

"So has Dakota told Kaia yet" Jada asked Zyria who shook her head no.

"She seriously needs to tell her I mean Kaia thinks that she is losing her girlfriend over something she did when that isn't even the case" Hunter mumbled and Jada sighed.

"I want to tell her so bad but I know it isn't my place to tell Dakota's business" Zyria sighed and looked at Kaia who was now just staring at her table with a glare plastered on her face.

"Dakota doesn't even want to talk to us she isn't going to tell her Zyria" Jada said looking at Zyria who was still staring at Kaia.

"It still isn't our place to tell her Jada" Hunter said looking at his girlfriend who sighed.

"I know I know I just want to tell her so that she knew that it wasn't her fault" Jada mumbled before jumping off the table walking to her table that she shared with Hunter.

"I'm going to sit with her today" Zyria mumbled grabbing her bag and walking next to Kaia sitting down.

"Hey babes" she said softly to her best friend who didn't respond only looked at her.

"You haven't done anything Kaia I promise" Zyria added before hugging her best friend.

"It's been a week since Dakota threw a book at my face kicking me out of her house. I'm pretty sure it is my fault Zyria" Kaia mumbled and Zyria sighed biting her lip.

"Kaia please trust me when I say that it wasn't your fault" Zyria said and Kaia frowned looking at Zyria.

"So you know what's happening then?" Kaia asked and Zyria looked away toward Hunter and Jada who were already looking at Zyria.

"All of you know what's happening?" Kaia asked looking between the couple and Zyria. They didn't say anything and Kaia let out a not funny laugh. She stood up and grabbed her a bag shaking her head.

"Wait Ka-"

"Stop" She said cutting Jada off before leaving the classroom quickly. Zyria sighed laying her head on the table frustrated and tired.

"Dakota open this fucking door now!" Kaia screamed banging on Dakota's front door hard and loudly. She raised her fists again but was quickly stopped by Dakota opening the door glaring at her.

"What Kai damn!" Dakota yelled and Kaia rolled her eyes before pushing past her to enter the house.

"I'm going to stand here and wait for you to tell me what the fuck is going on. I'm leaving until you tell me Dakota so get to fucking talking" Kaia said crossing her arms over her chest as she stared at her girlfriend.

"Oh my god Kaia get out" Dakota groaned as she rubbed her temples feeling a migraine approaching.

"No Dakota tell me what's going on with you" Kaia insisted and Dakota rolled her eyes walking pass Kaia and into the kitchen.

"Kaia leave it alone" Dakota mumbled sitting down at one of the kitchen chairs.

"Dakota I'm your fucking girlfriend or at least I thought I was last time I checked. I deserve the right to know why the fuck my girlfriend is ignoring me and ditching off school. Or why my girlfriend is-"

"MY SON DIED" Dakota yelled cutting Kaia's rant off. Kaia frowned and took a step back in shock as Dakota's word repeated in her head continuously.

"Your what?"

"My son okay? I got pregnant and was a mother for fucking two years then he died in my fucking arms in a hospital bed." Dakota said as she sighed standing up from the table.

"Wait- what?" Kai said as she tried to wrap her head around what she just said. Dakota sighed and bit her lip as she tried to stop the tears from springing into her eyes.

"My two year old son Ares had stage four cancer." Dakota said slowly turning to Kaia.

"I got pregnant when I was fifteen and my baby boy Ares spent half of his life in hospitals being treated and having so much chemo to stop a cancer that ended up being his death." Dakota added as she stared into Kaia's eyes.

"Da-"

"No please. You wanted to know what's going on so let me tell you." Dakota said interrupting Kaia. She nodded and moved to sit down at the kitchen table as she stared at Dakota. Dakota cleared her throat before biting her lips thinking of what to say.
