The wolves howled somberly beneath the moon, which was a blazing yellow—white with an ethereal glow of serenity, slinking between the shadows cast by the forest canopy as it loomed beyond the border of Hatsuyuki kingdom.

Lui grew frustrated with himself.

The slanting beams of moonlight illuminated his violet eyes, which were slightly distressed due to the howling wind that had blown the drapes away.

Lui has always taken pride in his ability to keep his cool under pressure, but right now he is struggling mightily to get through this specific situation.

Shu, get up.

Lui expertly manoeuvred around the large space, embracing the darkness and the peculiar silence. A part of him ached at the sight of his lover mumbling under his breath a few hours after he emerged from seclusion. A few mumbled words inadvertently escaped his lips along with a painful groan.

When all his efforts to rouse the albino proved futile, Lui extended his arm and methodically placed the hot bowl of porridge—that he had made for Shu—on the nightstand next to the bed. Lui brushed back a few strands of his silvery hair, revealing his flawless porcelain skin as his piercing gaze softened at once.

Shu was always perfect in his eyes. There was nothing Lui could think of that made him dislike the boy; he had always adored him. Even when he was completely covered in blood.

Most people are afraid of the unknown because we are afraid of what we do not understand.

Shu remained a mystery to them.

They could scream words all they wanted and call him names until he cowered down in spiteful shame, but nothing hurts more like rubbing salt into a fresh wound than when they stick to this haunting word—monster.

There was nothing left after that. Rumors have a way of finding their way into every nook and cranny, so people claimed he was the child of a demon. bloody crimson eyes, a curse of immortality coursing through his veins.

But Lui was never scared of his beauty.

"Shu,"

His voice echoes through the room, but Shu barely moves, the faint moonlight caressing his face and glistening against it.

Shu was sweating profusely, so Lui reached for the clean piece of cloth that was clinging to his forehead. The white tyrant soaked it, sealing the moisture into the fabric, then brought it back to gently press against Shu's warming skin. "Shu. Wake up."

The ticking seconds of the wall clock echoed the same monotonous ticking sounds as his fever manifested itself in the form of extreme fatigue and nausea. Shu let out a small whine at the dampening sensation of coldness seeping through his skin. His cheeks flushed in a deep hue of red as hot breath slipped past his plump lips through the slight gap.

When Lui sensed the boy's mute anguish, he knelt down by his ear and said, "Wake up, Snowflake," in a voice that was merely a whisper. When it became hopeless, Lui placed his other hand under Shu's legs and his left palm under the back of his neck, raising him off the bed and placing him on his lap. Lui was cautious when holding the albino as he dozed off in his arms, since he was worried that Shu would get wounded by his werewolf's incredible power.

Werewolves were stronger than humans; therefore, what a werewolf might perceive as a touch to a human may actually be a snap of bone. This gave him the impression that he was always holding an infant. "Wake up, puppy," Lui had to gently tell him to do.

"I can't remember the last time I did this with someone."

There have been occasions when Lui has questioned whether he merely has a soft spot for Shu. He has never been the type of person to take care of someone with grace while suppressing his alpha's vicious tendencies. The White tyrant constantly feels the need to caress Shu as if he were made of fragile glass that, if handled too roughly, may shatter.

Since when did he start acting more kindly? Oh, yes, traces of his earliest memories drifted in and out of his awareness. Lui thought back to a time when he used to occasionally sneak into the human town at obscenely early hours of the morning just to see how Shu was doing.

It was a sly attempt, but Lui was never seen by the devil's eyes. When he entered that dark room, he could still picture a small child-less than five years old, drugged down, lying in the middle of the bed with covers covering his frail body. With the threat of creating a purplish mark on his pale complexion, the cold metal cuffs are tearing at his skin as he thrashes around in them. His heartrending sobs were followed by an uncontrollable sniffle. The Alpha, who was formerly powerless, is left with no choice but to watch the small albino suffer while clinging to his pounding heart.

He was alarmed when he heard Shu crying out in solitude, which reverberated over the entire space and drowned out the ominous silence.

Shadows crept around the corners like devils, terrified of the darkness. Shu spent the entire night sobbing because he missed his mother's warmth. Eventually, he grew weary of crying and welcomed the night to swallow him up.

No one. Nobody gives a fuck about the child's pain, not even one. Lui was repulsed by the idea of his mortal adversaries. He was aware that werewolves were at least marginally superior to these arrogant jerks who think they are a superior race. Looking back, it just served to remind him of how pitifully they handled his love, treating him as if he were a slave. Tch. His claws were aching to rip off their faces and cast them into the fiery pits of hell, as he twitched at the moment.

Shu moaned and placed his palm on the Alpha's prominent chest, attempting to break free from his train of thought as Lui turned his head briefly to look at the sleeping albino in his strong arms. Right. Shu is safe for the time being. Even if they dared to rise from the dead, the White Tyrant will soon put those worthless jerks in their place. They'd been dead for a long time. A beat later, Lui decides to focus on Shu while he makes fruitless attempts to cool his raging mind. Lui reached for the bowl of porridge, placing a large hand on the younger's side to keep him from sloppily limping down. Shu, you need to get up.

Shu moved a little, pressing his cheek against the Alpha's broad chest to feel the warmth he had been longing for. Satisfied at last, Shu huddled up against the soft knit of his shirt. Lui stared bewildered at the lovely face of his love, wondering how someone could possibly put such a dejected expression on those lovely crimson eyes hidden beneath the pale eyelids. "Take just a little sip, Snowflake, and then you can go back to bed." Lui appreciated their solitude. Free would have been a bother if he had chosen to stay with them.

Shu is the only one to witness the Alpha's sensitive side.

To rouse the feverish boy from his dreamless slumber, Lui muttered some soothing words as he rocked his body. The boy was too delirious to care about the situation. He scowled and let out a small grunt in the process. Shu's face was crushed against the white tyrant's chest.

"Fuck, he's too cute for words." The white tyrant's face begins to tinge somewhat pink.

It had been a while since then, when Lui made the decision to force down the liquid rather than attempt to wake the albino boy up. If it weren't for the ticking sounds of the wall clock, he might have become enamoured with the seductive sight of Shu in his arms. Lui divided his lips, pressed the edge of the bowl, enabling the liquid to run out into his mouth, and took a hesitant drink. Shu first made it very difficult to continue when he shook his head to the side, almost burning his mouth, but Lui was able to get him to swallow the remaining food.

Before placing the empty bowl back on the tray, Lui grabbed up the wet napkin and held it to his mouth to wipe away the stains. In a similar vein, Lui did manage to provide the medicine to him. Lui tucked a stray hair behind his ear and touched his lips to his forehead. Doze off, snowflake.

What was once a sea of beautiful dandelion fields turned into a hostile battlefield smeared with blood and thorn bushes, and the ghosts of the dead lurking in the shadows gave it the appearance of being a haunted place as time erased all the effluvium of countless deaths that wafts through every gentle zephyr. The rotten pungency that perfumed the ripped field might smother and suffocate anyone, leaving the dark side of history in the shadows, and it emanated from those corpses in a sickeningly dry, sweet metallic stink as it aged.

The earth as we know it today wasn't at all what it first appeared to be. Thousands upon thousands of mysteries lie buried beneath the ground we walk on, and there are countless numbers of reasons why these have never been solved. The two prominent races among the others that survived through the crucial period to protect their borders and gave life to their own civilizations with their own culture and set of customs to lead stand out the most in contrast to each other, giving false hope that the dawn of a better time could crack through the clouded horizon, welcoming the waves of warmth and flourishing prosperity to the world.

Humans and werewolves.

Because of their power over wisdom and information, humans were able to constantly transform the globe into a highly developed society. On the other hand, werewolves were also no laughing matter. The ability to live significantly longer than any other mortal beings with special abilities is a natural prerogative of werewolves, and they were superior in terms of both sharp intelligence and physical prowess.

One hundred years ago, the five major races-humans, werewolves, fairies, demons, and ultimately vampires-finally came to an agreement on how to cohabit peacefully through the adoption of a few laws and the signing of a declaration of peace alliance. A battle hasn't broken out in decades, but those who believed one was on the horizon were quickly proven wrong when competition erupted in the kingdom and deceit entered the palace of mankind.

In the meantime, everything in the Hatsuyuki kingdom has abruptly come to an end. Their ultimate advancement in the hierarchy has also come to an end, and the pack Alphas of several noble clans have become so avaricious that they have turned their attention to expanding their spheres of influence and replenishing their wealth, starting to engage in conflict with one another.

The worlds of humans and werewolves had long been fused together, but one day, in a situation that felt as though heaven and earth had been turned inside out, mankind suddenly began a scathing attack in an effort to discover the reason for werewolves' long longevity.

As a result, a conflict broke out between the nearby kingdoms. It may have occurred during the conflict between the pack leaders over territorial disputes, when mankind, taking advantage of their dire situation, went to the bother of establishing secret agreements with the evil powers; vampires.

It is a well—known fact that werewolves and vampires have not had very long histories together. Their hatred for one another was appalling; they frequently found themselves unable to resolve their differences, and there seemed to be no end in sight to their conflicts. Despite this, war wasn't as straightforward between the two races when their histories of blood feuding were present. Because of their own seductive greed and determination to remain at the very top of the hierarchy and assert their superiority, humans may have been susceptible to manipulation. After all is said and done, vampires and humans have teamed up to eliminate their mutual foe.

Even though the war lasted 35 years, some people nevertheless experienced the sombre cries of the dead soldiers, whose participation in the conflict has since faded into the realm of children's bedtime stories.

As they saw the terrifying battlecry, blood splattered everywhere as arrows flew by through the chests of armoured troops and swords clashed ferociously. Agonizing screams reverberated throughout the arena, the weight of unspeakable betrayals remained in the humid air, and finally, the desire for the countless lives sacrificed on that evil day shattered the soul of the earth.

The sky darkened into a melancholy gravel grey, swarming with large pillows of lurching clouds that coughed out great gouts of crystal pearls, cleaning the lands and renewing the sign of life once more. The evidential stains that appeared to have been the scene of a violent struggle for survival Werewolves may have lost that bloody war, but they haven't given up yet. The wounds may have healed over time, but that doesn't mean the scars inside their hearts have vanished.

"That is an absurd amount of nonsense. Werewolves weren't vanquished!" Lui, the crown prince, pushed himself away from the book that would not provide the information he was seeking and muttered under his breath in response to the voice that created an echo inside the library and broke its entire atmosphere of space and silence. The young wolf crossed his legs and slouched off to the chair in a foul mood. The same information was written throughout the books, according to Lui, who considered humans to be one of nature's weakest species and essentially a race of treacherous good for nothings and had defeated werewolves. His penetrating violet eyes moved to another book's crisped page, but they saw the same thing.

His tongue clicked. "It must have been an imbecile who wrote this terrible garbage. A fucking idiot!" The impact of Lui's close smack on the book was so strong that it nearly caused the book shelves to sway. The Alpha Prince abhorred the notion of being viewed as the victim of the tragic tale that he was expected to study for a crucial history exam.

The youngest omega in the group, Valt, was too busy enjoying his sweet treat to react when Lui startled him. Valt, who had accidentally swallowed the last piece of Hatsuyuki's famous beybread, yelled in fear and began coughing until tears began to well up in his hazelnut eyes, which glistened in the afternoon sunlight that filtered through the translucent curtains from the windows to his right.

Valt could have a simple explanation for why he came, even though it would be a lie to claim he genuinely came to study for the test. No, he simply came for the beybread, which was of the highest quality, had a delectable texture, and was advertised as a delight that would sate your hunger. "Holy smokes! Lui, you startled me! I nearly choked to death!" Valt whimpered, desperately writhing his tiny fists.

"Of course, that's what happens when you wolf down everything." With no actual desire to learn, Lui rolled his violet eyes. He tapped the table with his fingers as he evidently thought about what defence he could offer this time that wouldn't sully his reputation.

Valt broke the tension by responding to the prince in argument, "You are to blame! It was you who stunned me! Oh, sweet bread of mine!" The omega hunches his shoulders and sobs big, heavy tears of depression. He had been saving the best for last, and that was it.

Free—who sat across from the white tyrant, next to Valt, who yawned sluggishly as usual, his emotionless eyes darting around the doodle artwork he had so far done on the corner of the note book, fidgeting with the pencil in his finger. "If you don't want to get reprimanded by Midnight sensei, you must study this, no matter how much you detest it."

"See if I care."

Lui responded mockingly, unfazed by the idea of their history professor raging at him. It wasn't for a day or two, but ever since the man was tasked with instructing this specific prince, he has consistently been spotted in a nasty mood, unable to handle the haughty crown prince. The teacher should expect to get a few black bags under his eyes and some grey hairs.

Free said, shrugging his shoulders and letting the strap of his tank top fall loosely over his shoulder, "There's a reason why you're nicknamed the problem child after all." Even in the severe cold, he had never bothered to spend a few extra minutes to properly dress; Free still appeared to be in wonderful health.

"I overheard the other kids talking about you, and I saw that your bravery in that particular situation involving the seniors was the year's most talked—about event on the school newspaper."

Free kept going and persisted. "They reported that I was hanging out with the troublesome kid, so I was called into the principal's office. Even though I was just being a disinterested bystander."

"Hah? I'm going to punch out their teeth and skin anyone who tries to say something bad about me." Lui spoke menacingly while his left eye twitched from the wrath coursing through him. He also released a significant amount of pheromones that have an impact on the omega while remaining silent.

"L-lui!" The strong scent of the Alpha's pheromones surprised Valt, who yelled in fear. He ought to have become accustomed to Lui's scents by now, because Valt has always accompanied the pair, even when they were just werewolf pups.

When he felt Valt shrink timidly to demonstrate his submission to the Alpha's snarl, Free stepped closer to the bluenette and placed his hand on Valt's thigh, lightly squeezing the skin. He did this after noticing Valt cower timidly in response to the Alpha's growl. Given that the omega was meant to be his, Free was well aware of how difficult it is for an omega to resist an Alpha's commands.

"Lui, stop bothering him." Free rubbed his face into Valt's while he talked, softly scenting the omega. Despite the fact that when Valt attempted to move away from his hold, he tightened his grip on his wrists. "Stay still. I'm not finished yet."

With his ears flattened and tail gently swishing, Valt purred, "Free." His sweet hazel eyes came face to face with a commanding pair of dark hues that exuded a possessive dominance. Since scenting could mean two different things, the omega wasn't afraid of the blonde Alpha's other side. In order to warn the other alphas that they have chosen their chosen omega as their mate, the first one is to claim the omega as their mate. The meaning of the second one could be to pacify the omega in a platonic affection similar to that of a close relative.

"That tickles, freee!" His deep hazel eyes sparkled, softening his smile and making it more comforting. He tapped softly on Free's shoulder to pull away while muttering a few sheepishly silent complaints. "Stop..! Man, enough already!"

Free fought the urge to groan in frustration, but when he sees the omega laughing, his stern demeanour relaxes. Before ultimately pulling away, he brushed his cheek against the bluenette's neck. "I'd do anything for you." He fluffed his wild blue hair, making Valt chuckle.

Lui clicked his tongue and said, "I have seen two jackals that have more self-control than you two." He gazed at them with contempt. Free would never get anything but Lui's contempt for his obsession with Valt.

After a brief pause, Free continued, "Excuse me, but you must have mistaken me for someone who gives a damn," in a light-hearted tone.

"Go to hell." Crossing his arms over his chest, Lui scoffed. His violet eyes were peering intently at the blonde alpha.

"I understand that you two are betrothed, so what? Do you want my congratulations?"

The social structure of the Hatsuyuki kingdom is predominantly patriarchal and strictly enforced; a person's place in the dominance hierarchy is determined by their standing in the society. They were
