"Lui...?"

His Crimson eyes shone and twinkled and his usually pale face was flustered and animated. Lui hovered him down against the trunk of the tree. His blood burned into flickering flames sending a deep crimson colour to his face, brightly. The soft radiance of the incandescent lights of the fireflies caught the bubbles that flashed in an eerie shade of light yellowish green and passed before them. "Pup, don't turn on the Alpha when you're defenceless, cause once I start there's no guarantee of stopping anytime soon." His husky voice growled into his ear, dominantly.

Shu pressed his lips together trying to leap out of the death trap-submissive effect Lui had on him. His mind lapsed into hundred miles away running wild, where he couldn't think straight. Lui's hot breath trailed on his soft skin erupting heat on them, he was only a breath away, Shu squeezed his eyes shut turning away. He shouldn't have said that. Now the Alpha is hovering over him, it was like walking into the lion's den at his lunch time. Shu find it impossible to gather his voice that refused to come out of his throat, bubbling inside. Lui noticed it again. Shu has trouble saying his thoughts, opinions, whatever so. The albino wasn't certain with his choices, neither has the courage. Lui wasn't surprised even to the slightest. Shu was held inside that lonely room since he was a toddler. He had his early memories accompained with despair, sorrows. Shu wasn't given any choice but to accept the darkest depths of cruelty in such a young age.

Lui tucked a stray bang behind his ear, reaching for the curve of his cheek, letting his thumb gracefully stroking a few rubs on them. "You can't keep your guard down. It just creates openings for anyone to take advantage of you." He stated rather in a monotonous tone. Pressing a firm hold on his waist raising his chest high, Lui swept his feet off catching Shu in a prone position, Shu panicked, his heart was thundering. Batting his hands that was free out of the Alpha's hold, wriggling to set himself free, "First of all, stop panicking and think. Spot a vital spot on the person and strike it."

"I'm not." Shu commented, but listened to the advice. He calmed his raging mind focusing his eyes on the Alpha before him. His gaze shifted around the weak parts trying to spot any. Lui watched his very actions observing the albino, while still keeping him in a tight hold. The chin. Shu brought his unoccupied hand striking it up-when Lui noted the incoming attack, he effortlessly blocked it, but giving Shu the opportunity to leap out. "I missed him again" Shu murmured, frowning. His crimson eyes darted pass the white tyrant in dismay.

"I'm strong simple as that." Lui shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly leaning down to flick his forehead earning a yell from the albino, but he ignored it completely and spoke, "Starting now, attack me whenever you want to. If you manage to land one strike, I'll let you go right after the bat."

"You won't follow me after that?" Shu arched an eyebrow, glancing at the white tyrant in disbelief. Lui wouldn't stick to his own words when it comes to the freedom of leaving from his shadows.

Lui nods in affirmation, a smirk stretched into his lips, "Only if you succeed in the task. It's still a win win for me after all. Either way you will learn to protect yourself and to push you over the comfort zones I had to." Lui reached for his hair and ruffled it. "Now stand up. You still have lot to learn."

Shu let himself get pulled up from the ground, His gaze shifted to Lui's hand that laced with his fingers. This person standing right here pushes him over the comfort zones Shu had build on the past few years, his insecurities has grown even more prompting him from taking a new step forward acting as a barrier limiting his freedom of choice. Shu saw the white tyrant walking to the meadow, "Where are you going?" He said it. Without hesitation bubbling in his throat.

Lui twisted his gaze back to the albino, "Just things. You can just laze around when I'm not around. Don't worry I've marked this area with my scent, wild animals will not dare to step in here." He confirmed before shifting into his massive werewolf form. Shu gazed timidly, Lui was indeed intimidating in this form, there's no mistaking it. He quietly thought unable to take his eyes off the wolf. The azure furred wolf sprinted into the woods at an unbelievable speed it was only a matter of time the Alpha disappeared out of his sight, Shu sighed.

The afternoon sky inked in an eerie shade of blue with the sun overhead beaming it's warm rays casting shadows of the crooked tree boughs on the ground, Shu plopped on the boulder near the riverside watching the clear steam with his foot dipped into the calm water. It's been a while since the Alpha left him in this unknown place. His crimson eyes stared at the wavering reflection of himself in the water surface, "This feelings of emptiness within.."

Shu involuntarily flinched when Lui announced his arrival with a deep howl, "Here you are." Shu watched as the Alpha-in his wolf form, stretching his long fore legs and rubbed his muzzles before plopping down on the bed of grass, the ice have melted away long ago.

Shu stared at the massive wolf trying to swat a fruit fly, a light chuckle slipped pass his lips. It was adorable, seeing him taking in his wolf instincts rolling on the grassy field as if letting the sunlight soak its warmth in to his fur. His fur was soft-Shu remembered the softness of the fur underneath his palm, effortlessly the albino stood on his feet and walked over to the werewolf-who was in his own world trying to swallow the sunlight like it was the divine honey floating in thin air. The initial shyness and fear of the white tyrant left Shu, although he knew this Alpha is no threat to him yet he kept his guard on.

A gentle breeze ruffled his clothes while caressing his skin with the mild warmth, Shu sat on his knees curiously staring at the wolf. Lui was busy kneading the carpet of grass to find the bug that slipped away for his dear life. Biting the bottom lip timidly wondering whether he was allowed to pet the wolf's head, Shu reached his slender hand forward but abruptly stopped when Lui noticed the outstretched hand. "Sorry." Shu mumbled, but it seems like Lui doesn't mind the boy petting him, as the wolf leaned into his palm nuzzling.

A blush spreads across his pale cheeks in delight, his crimson eyes gleaming like the starry night sky, his fur was soft as the cloud, "Oh. You want me to scratch you?" Shu arched an eyebrow glancing at the wolf rolling to his back showing his stomach with his long tongue sticking out, "Atta boy." Shu find himself enjoying with the Alpha.

"You're adorable." Shu points out as Lui jumped on him with his huge paws on his shoulders, dragging the albino to sit in between his hind legs, "Uwah." Shu yelped in surprise, his heart raced against his chest from the sudden pull, 'Maybe I made him angry that he's going to rip my head off?' Shu thought regretting for calling him adorable.

Lui didn't chomp on his head but he licked his cheek as if showing affection to the albino boy whilst Shu blinked in surprise. His long tongue dripping with saliva was hot on his skin, "Hey stop licking me!" Shu tried to push the massive alpha away from his face but it tickled against his skin, feeling like a popsicle at the moment.

After a beat second Lui released the albino and continued stretching his hind legs as his sharp pointed claws grasping the carpet of grass, Shu would sat beside him quietly, watching. "He's calmed down." He thought, with a small smile. Shu paused to look at the Alpha, caught in a surreal sense that the Alpha behaving like a domestic pet dog and but then again he had killed those humans in a mere second.

Was Shu wrong about everything, What really happened back then, how did he meet Lui? What's the promise he's talking about? Those unanswered questions lingering inside his mind unable to let them flow out into words. Shu stood on his feet walking over to the tree shade as the coolness nipped his skin. He sat down, leaning his back against the trunk and tucked his knees to his chest wrapping his arms around them. Lui did agreed to take him to the town and somehow he seems like a nice person. Maybe he can just stop worrying about nothing and let his unfocused mind take some rest. The gentle wind brushed against his pale skin and the sound of it sang out like a siren in the sea, teasing him with the promise of blissful and numbing sleep. Lui stared at the albino dozing off under the tree shade.

---

Shu stirred in his sleep groggily rubbing his eyes to clear his hazy vision as the blinding sunlight that poked through the little holes on the boughs, the sensation of something soft and fluffy poking made his skin crawl. He jolted up abruptly making the Alpha alerted beside him. Shu blinks twice-surprised, not remembering when he slept with the Alpha, "You scared me" He stated with a blank stare. Shu realised his current position however was quite comfortable, Lui's long fluffy tail was flung over his slender body while his head rested on the body of the wolf, his warmth was soothing to his nerves.

Lui nuzzles into his face as if conveying his apology, Shu sighed inwardly extending his hand to ruffle his tangled silky bangs. Lui must have came to me so I wouldn't feel cold. He peeked a glimpse at the wolf yawning. "Can you like um shift back to human or something?"

The werewolf licked his cheek and stood on his four paws, ruffling himself before stretching lazily, it had been a while since Lui lazed around. Closing his eyes to focus on shifting back, Shu watched in awestruck, the wolf shifting back into a tall handsome human. His heart raced faster when Lui spared a glance at his way, grinning to himself. Maybe grinning was one of his personality traits, Shu thought he had seen the white tyrant grinning quite a lot, which Shu couldn't relate at all, he has his poker face that barely suggests of his mood.

"You sure are cuddly when you sleep."

"Excuse me? It's your fault for sleeping with me without my permission." Shu awkwardly shifted his gaze to the other side staring at the meadow while his cheeks were warming up in a crimson pink that he's experiencing the second hand embarrassment.

"Dang it. Next time when I shift don't treat me like a dog." Lui flickered his forehead, drawing a pout from the albino who mumbled something incoherently under his breath, still trying hard to hide his flustered cheeks. "Did you say something now?" Lui raised an eyebrow skeptically, his eyes scanned the albino.

Shu shifted his weight between one leg to another and shook his head to the sides, Lui didn't seem to believe him as he waited for the answer he was hoping for but met with Shu's silence, their eyes fixed on eachother in an awkward pause, suddenly his stomach grumbled. "If you're hungry you should tell me, you know." Lui grinned staring down at the boy. Shu wasn't planning to see another day. Instead he was going to dig a hole on the ground, bury himself inside and stay there for an eternity. "Alright, what you do want to eat for lunch?"

"Anything eligible to eat."

"I see. You aren't a picky eater unlike me." Lui commented standing on his feet, offering a hand for the albino to get lifted up. Shu didn't hesitate this time, placing his small hand into that huge calloused hand felt like placing his hand into a bun, Shu gets pulled up to his feet. "I'm craving for a rabbit now."

"A what?" Shu did a double take unconsciously taking a few steps away from the white tyrant, Lui didn't refer him as the rabbit and planning to cook him for lunch right? Although Lui have been calling him with names and one of it was the word-Bunny.

Lui bursts into a fit of laughing he can see through what's going inside Shu's mind, Shu pressed his lips together with his cheeks dusted faint red tints, shortly after Lui wiped the tear from the corner of his eye, "Of course dummy. I'm not going to eat you. Humans stinks."

"I'm offended." Shu furrowed his eyebrows and threw his fist into the air in an attempt to hit Lui-but tripping over a stone and he fell into his strong arms that caught him in pure reflex. Shit.

Lui patted his back in a comforting manner, nodding his head, "I know baby, but I gotta go now and get us something for lunch." He smirked knowing Shu is squirming under his hold. Damn he's enjoying himself.

With great effort Shu slipped out of his grasps and stood in a safe distance, calming his pounding heart that refuses to stop beating faster. Lui ruffled his white locks, "Stay put." He said turning on his heel now facing the start of the woods that laid before them.

Shu pressed his lips tightly clenching his fists-wishing to stop the Alpha. He gathered all his courage and reached for his shirt sleeve grabbing a handful of his light sky blue shirt, making the White tyrant halt. His silky hair breezed through the air sending a soft pink tone to his cheeks as Lui tossed a glance back down at the albino, "I,"

The sound of the breeze along with his thumping heart was enough to make Shu inevitably timid, he had never been given a chance to learn anything, but Lui was showing interest in teaching him stuffs, besides he was the only person that sees Shu as a person, for others he was a mere life source. "I want to go with you." Shu squeezed his eyes lowering his head down, Lui wouldn't listen to him, would he? His crimson eyes snapped open, feeling a hand ruffling his hair softly, "Huh?" Shu peered a glimpse at the Alpha smiling at him.

"That's my pup. Let's go for hunting shall we?"

His pulse beat a hundred to the minute and the blood throbbed at his heart while his stomach lurched those indescribable feeling, finally he was accepted? Shu nodded his head walking closer to the white tyrant and took his offered hand. "Thank you." Shu murmured.

"Oi don't just thank me yet." Lui nudged him playfully, stroking his thumb on Shu's hand caressingly. Pulling the albino closing the gap between them as their shoulders brushed against each other slightly, Lui didn't mind it. Shu noted. His presence didn't bother the Alpha. Back in the village, there was a custom-Some people claimed those rumours about Shu being cursed, he was isolated in that room in order to bring peace among the people. His father used the opportunity for his own benefit as well. When those men dressed in dark cloaks came to his room, Shu noticed their hesitation. Not because they pitied him but because they're afraid of their own life. "Quit puppy stares." Lui commented feeling the pair of crimson eyes lingering on him for a while now.

Shu averted his gaze to the ground watching his every step, stealing a glimpse at Lui's huge hand-His fingers intertwined with his own. His well defined bisceps and his rock hard chest better showing off those enviable pecks, Lui was strong. Shu admittedly glanced at the white tyrant again. Someone he can rely on. Though the darkness of uncertainty lingering in the corner of his mind, there's sparks of a tiny flames of hope. Lui isn't everything those rumours claimed him to be. Yes, Lui killed people but only for the albino's sake.

They reached the Alpha's usual hunting spot-located deep into the woods where you couldn't make a way out of the huge maze unless you're too familiar with the place or had the sense of direction radar. The skies were covered by thick boughs above their heads, Shu almost tumbled through the darkness his surroundings have enveloped. Lui halted from his steady pace, the smell of his prey lingered in the air which Shu had no clue of it, he just took in Lui's action and followed him. "Hide yourself somewhere and watch me." Lui whispered into his ear, gesturing Shu hid to behind the thick berry bushes.

Shu blindly managed to reach the bushes, hunkering down to a lower position while squinting his eyes to catch the glimpse of the Alpha in the sheer darkness. Shu wondered how this place would be in nights when in the daylight it's darkened this much. His crimson eyes searchingly ran through the darkness trying to spot Lui who-somehow mingled into it expertly. The rustling noise erupted from the other side of the thick bushes betraying the deafening silence that over took the atmosphere. That's when Shu noticed it, something white hopped off and tumbled through another bush for its life. Lui-stood on his feet waving his hand in the air to caught Shu's attention. "Come over here." Lui called out.

That was fast, Shu blinked his eyes dusting the back of his pant, jogged up to the bush Lui was standing beside, Shu curiously peered at the sight behind Lui, his eyes stretched to a slit in surprise, throwing a glance up at the Alpha, he gasped. "It's.."

"Yes. It seems they're probably one week older now." Lui answered, placing a hand on his hip, his gaze scanned around the area to spot the mother rabbit. The one Shu saw hopping away, Lui missed it when he took notice of the one week old bunnies.

Shu crouched down hugging his legs while he adoringly stared at the white babies crawling around trying to find their mother's warmth. "Aw you little poor thing." He reached for the ashy grey furred bunny crawling towards him, picking the young one into his hand softly Shu guided it back to the burrow safely.

"Don't get attached with them, you won't be able to eat afterwards." Lui scoffed. The mother rabbit escaped, the other option left in hand was to seize these fresh young ones.

Realizing his words Shu snapped a glare at the Alpha, his crimson eyes wavered hesitantly, "You're not planning to kill them now, do you?" Shu wouldn't let that happen to these little one who haven't even opened their eyes to the world yet, there would be no humanity left in him if he ever stand aside and watch them die to fill his stomach. He would rather starve. Lui arched his eye brow, "Please, don't. I'm not hungry or anything. Maybe let's just go and walk around the river bank? Or watch the waterfalls." Shu tried to make an excuse.

Lui crossed his arms, "You can't be serious, they will eventually get killed by the predators anyway."

Shu lowered his gaze down at the crawling bunnies whining quite loudly, this world-cruelty was so prevalent. But then again it was how things works, the food chain, the circle of life, everything depends on one another. Maybe He was new to the world that everything seems way too cruel to him. Unable to comprehend the purpose of life. His gaze shifted to the ground the emotions were too strong. He can't bear seeing these sort of things. His heart was too soft. It could effortlessly break. Lui scoffed, reaching for his head, patting him softly, "Shu, you're just worrying over nothing. You need to look after yourself if you want to survive here, besides you will get used it in no time."

Shu turned away refusing to meet his eyes, upset over the reassurance Lui gave him. In fact, it wasn't close enough to touch the boundaries of comfort. Lui sighed inwardly, "Jeez. I can't believe I'm saying this." Lui thought, clearing his throat. "Fine, how about fishes? You alright with them or still no-no." Shu beamed up at him. It's worthwhile to see him happy, Lui thought helping Shu to get on his feet.

Shu smiled softly, "Thanks."

"Anything for you." Lui murmured ruffling his hair before walking away nonchalantly with his hand rubbing the nape of his neck. It was the first time Lui ever holds back from his prey. It had happened a few times back then, he had killed many animals feed on their blood and flesh. But this boy changed his nature. Lui threw a glance
