Shu was wide awake.

He sat on the corner of the room, his chin braced on his drawn up knees, without blinking his eyes, he wore an emotionless expression on his face. If one thing Shu appreciated the most in this whole messed situation he was forcefully dragged into-It was the comfortable silence amidst the wavering emotions that conflicting like flames of fire erupting inside.

The door opened quietly Shu expected it to be the Alpha, his formidable aura was overwhelming. Shu was having second thoughts whether the climate outside has been changed the course of its wild coldness or the room temperature suddenly dropped a few degrees as Lui strode into the room. Nevertheless Shu kept his gaze on the plain wooden floor that was so much admirable at the moment. Lui arched an eyebrow glancing between the sophisticated bed and the albino-sat on the cold floor. "Everything in the room belongs to you now." He stated, crossing his arms over his chest.

Shu chewed the inside of his mouth, not offering any verbal response to the Alpha that abducted him into the unknown location in the forbidden forest and the murderer who ruthlessly slaughtered everyone in the hometown.

"When I'm talking to you, look at my eyes."

Lui walked over to the albino who involuntarily shuddered at the deep cold voice. He reached down for his chin tilting it upside, the way his wavering crimson eyes troubled with questions without the answers, it pained the albino to be forced into a situation like this. Whatever Lui's intentions were, whether he hold any personal grudge against his father so he decided to punish him whilst picturing it as the selfish man or he simply saved the boy unknowingly.

"I'd like to take you out for a breeze. But, only if you promise me one thing." Lui soothingly stroked a finger along the pale soft delicate skin that was now exposed to harsh cold. He rubbed his cheek erupting warmth replacing the coldness.

"Promise me, you won't run away again."

Shu bit his bottom lip, straining to look away from the firm hold Lui had on him, did he even had any choice? Lui would still caught up with him and bring him back to this heavenly prison called home. Shu nodded but kept his voice unspoken. A small smile touched the corners of the Alpha's lips, picking up the albino from the floor into his strong muscled arms he went out of the house. Shu placed his hand on the male's broad chest not knowing where else to keep them on, it made him feel like a child. The way the Alpha treating him as if he was a mere child in his eyes made Shu uncomfortable.

When Lui halted before the path that leads into the deep woods, looking around searchingly on a cautious lookout for predators, although almost half of the creatures that inhabiting in the enchanted forest must have acknowledged the Alpha's territory, however having a human would draw those creatures to Shu, he shouldn't be taking chances. Once Lui made sure it's safer to let the boy down, "Stay close." He uttered before placing Shu on the grassy field. His huge calloused hands lingered on his waist, "I'm going shift, climb on to me and hold on tight, alright?" Lui let his hands fell to the sides.

Shu blinked a couple of times but nodded. He had never seen a werewolf shifting into the wolf form before, curiously he stood aside letting the Alpha do his shifting process. The whole time Shu didn't blink his eyes once, the way Lui shifted into an enormous wolf that should at least be bigger than any other wolves he had seen in those market. His father who has a firm that sells out those wolves, they had captured, for a good sum of money in the black market. All these time Shu pitied them because he's one of the kind-he himself was a source of business to that man after all.

Lui had dark azure fur cascading down in loose strands of hair like a river of silk, slender long legs with long muzzles, bushy tail and erect pointed ears, his sharp violet orbs darted around whilst his wolf ears twitched to the four directions cautiously, his claws were dangerously sharp that could tear one's flesh in mere second. Shu involuntarily flinched when the Alpha pushed his head into Shu's chest nudging him. For a brief moment Shu felt his heart thundering, his stomach lurched in anxiety at those piercingly cold glare, his canines were pointedly poking out.

For the second time Lui nudged the albino in his chest as if inviting him to hop onto his back for a ride. But Shu was speechless, his breath hitched in his throat. Lui, this time pushed the boy to the ground placing his paw on his chest, glaring down at his crimson eyes, "What was that for?" Shu winced, feeling the weight of the Alpha on him.

Lui gestured to his back which Shu huffed, "You're even more scarier in this form." Shu pushing the wolf away from his face, gathered himself and dusting off his cloth-Lui had brought for him early in the morning, Shu stood on his feet. Then he narrowed his eyes looking up while slightly tilting head upwards. "Too tall. Come down" Shu pat the soft fur of the Alpha, immediately feeling delighted with the touch. It was like a feathery yarn as his hand lingered on his fur taking in the softness of it. Lui leans down as Shu hesitantly climbed up, when the werewolf raised up, Shu saw the world from a different perspective. Everything was smaller than it was, the cold wind nipped at his skin as the Alpha set off into a fast pace. Shu had to hold on to the fur firmly otherwise he would've swept away by the rush of wind with unbelievable speed Lui is going at.

"He's faster than I'd ever imagine," Shu thought squeezing his eyes shut, feeling the front bangs sweeping pass his face exposing his milky forehead, the gush of wind ringed in his ears, his heart pounding harder.

It didn't take them much time to reach the hill, his pace faltered to a slow halt, the wind finally stopped hitting his face and the way his bangs were moving along wildly dropped down loosely as the atmosphere gradually gets warmer, Shu breathed out a relieved sigh it turns into puffs of air, squinting at the clear patch of snowy fields of the hill-he noticed the waterfalls.

"It's beautiful." Shu breathed out in awe, piles of snow covering every inch of the land, but there was one place where a patch of fresh green grass stood with dew drops glistening against the faint sun light. Shu slowly slide down from the werewolf's back, stepping towards the waterfalls, walking on the thick layer of wasted snow bare footed wasn't actually a good idea Shu wriggled his toes feeling the numbing sensation on his feet. "Owe.."

Suddenly a pair of firm hands held either sides of his slim waist raising him off his feet, Shu let out a surprised yelp but realised it was Lui in his human form, "Should have checked your feet." Lui didn't had the time to double check whether the albino was wearing his shoes. Shu settled in his arm like an elegant doll meant to be fitted perfectly on those strong arms.

Lui walked over to the patch of grass where snow wasn't covered, he gently placed Shu down on it and took a seat beside him. The snow will melt away soon enough, Shu thought looking up at the sun shielding his crimson eyes. A hand dropped to his head, turning to meet the gaze of the white tyrant Shu arched his eyebrow quizzically.

"So you have no memory of it?" Lui questioned, stroking his silky hair with his palm. "The promise I made to you years ago."

Shu racked his mind searching for the piece of memory Lui revealed to him just now, wasn't it the first time he had seen the Alpha? Knitting his eyebrows trying to squeeze out the memory which should tell him about the story Lui was referring to, but unfortunately it was blank like a void. He barely had memories of his childhood. Lui rubbed between his eyebrows, "Don't frown you're going get wrinkles."

"Lui.." Shu whispered in his usual small voice but the latter hummed in response, it was surreal, seeing the beast that killed merciless has a soft spot in him, "Do I know you?"

There it came. It was the second time Shu has repeated the question which drawed a painful nerve, Lui turned away gazing at the waterfall layered by broken shards of ice, his mind lapsed back to the first time he met Shu as a child. The moment felt so fresh as if it happened just yesterday. "Did they inject some weird substance?" Lui inquired.

"How did you know?" Shu blinked, surprised at his statement. It's true he had seen two or three men entering his room and they would inject a yellowish foreign substance into his veins despite those cries of pleads, they wouldn't care if the albino was afraid of the needles piercing through his skin or the amount of pain it would last for. They were monster with no humanity, selfish pricks that only cared about money.

Lui plucked a twig from the grass, twirling it in his hand drawing shapes that Shu couldn't make out, when the awkward silence long lasted than Shu thought it would, he decided to speak, "Answer me, who are you? How do you know me? Do we.." Shu paused finding the courage to push those words out of his throat.

"Know each other before?"

"It doesn't matter anymore." Lui answered with half lidded eyes, "But I kept my promise." He continued with a distant look playing on his violet orbs. A gentle breeze caressed both of them with the soft touch of nature, Shu lapsed into the awkward painful silence. This wasn't the answer he was hoping for. Effortlessly his gaze fell to the grass thoughtfully.

Remnants of his childhood memories floated in and out of his consciousness, but there was blurred scenes of ignorance. Those fragments of those days on that room he had spent on for years, time to time unknown men dressed in dark cloaks would come and inject the foreign substance into his system and then darkness will greet the boy. When he regained his consciousness there it is, his arms and thighs will be thoroughly bandaged Shu would cry silently at the pain that engulfed him after his naps. The soreness of his body from the whole process of sinking the needles into his delicate skin and drawed out his blood filling those vials

"It was hellish. The life back in that village is utterly a nightmare." Shu shook like a leaf in a thunderstorm, his crimson eyes were unfocused as the vivid images of the days flashed before his eyes. Shu would wish for the nights to arrive each day, only when he could finally be left out alone in the darkness of the room. He had long forgotten his mother's face through those years of isolation, his father who barely comes around to determine whether Shu could still hold on and be profitable to him.

Lui reached for his head and strokes a soft comforting pat, Shu blinked pass those tears that unconsciously pooled inside his pretty deep set crimson eyes, "I know. They're no longer alive. Even if they raise from dead I'll dispose them." His words were comforting, it was the first time someone had showed him reassurance, that things will be fine. Someone to remind him life goes on with ups and downs, but everything is going to be alright. Those words sink deeper than the surface can go, Shu nuzzled into the pat.

"I was planning to escape three days ago, even attempted. I was almost close enough to reach the shima town, but someone that was working under father saw me. I thought it was over for me." Shu turned his gaze to the forest overlapping into the distant fields, it happened before Lui came to his village and slaughtered everyone, "Please, take me to shima town."

"I know this sounds ridiculous to ask someone who kidnapped me, but you seems like a nice person."

Lui was about to resort something but interrupted by the albino, "I wanted nothing but freedom. A life that I was missing so much." Shu picked up a fallen leaf touching the edges of crisps as it cracked up, his front bangs fell forwards covering his eyes in some sort of shadows that hides those pretty crimson eyes which had cried the most.

Lui reached for his face, tucking a stray bang behind his ears taking in the curve of his cheek into his calloused hand, "This is the second time you asked me something." He leaned down to meet his eyes, "Tell me this, what will you do if I take you there."

Shu stared at his face thoughtfully, all these time everything Shu had on his mind was to escape. To run away from the nightmare he had lived his entire life, forgetting what would he do next. It was out of the question, when it was almost a suicide plan to escape that prison. But now things has changed. Something Shu hadn't seen coming like a cyclone. It made him wonder what he wanted to do in his life? When the kids his age went to school and played around without a care in the world, while he was trapped in that lonely room constantly getting his blood sucked out. He envied the normal life. He wanted to travel around the world and see new places, learn their culture, wanted to experience everything he had missed in his early childhood. "Make a living. Live my life the way I wanted." Shu answer, it wasn't just a mere words his mouth said, but those prolonged words his heart wanted to spoke.

"If I say," Lui continued in his hushed voice that was merely a whisper, Shu listened intently, "I can give you the life you wanted, would you stay with me?"

Shu was at a loss for words. Blinking twice, thrice yet he couldn't believe what he just heard from the white tyrant-did he just offered him what he wished for, all his life? Never had he expected the Alpha to be this kind. Rumours about the white tyrant spreads across the whole village like a wild fire but Shu has never been the person to believe in rumours. "With you?" His question inevitably aroused uncertainty. Who is this person? He know nothing beyond his name. What kind of a person Lui is? Is he trust worthy?

"Yes, I can give you all the protection you need and do anything in my power to help you." Lui concluded with a note of finality in his voice, he stared at the albino while his thumb caressed his pale cheek. "The first time you asked me to save you. This time, you're asking for freedom. As I promised, I'd do anything for you."

His words striked a small fragment of memory, but it was a bit hazy-unclear with whites and blurs, the more Shu tried to squeeze out the memory the more it brings headache, Shu sighed inwardly. "I'm not sure of what you're talking about, but then again. Why should I trust you?"

"You're capable of doing anything, with you I don't feel safe but uncertainty. You're just a stranger I happened to meet unexpectedly."

At first there was a pause which Lui didn't bother to break the silence. He was in deep thoughts. Meanwhile Shu tumbled through the awkward silence long enough to make him feel contented at the moment but then heard the voice snapping the initial silence, "Having second thoughts, I see."

Shu frowned but listened to the male, "I knew you had planned to kill me at the right time and flee away, yet I pretended to be unaware of it. You're weak, unable to protect yourself, the way you let your guard down creating many openings for me." Lui retrieved his hand back to retain in the previous position, snorting at the last part. He eyed the albino from the corner of his eyes, "Stay a little longer and see if I'm trustworthy." He moved his hands in a surrender pose, "I must say this, you're awfully hopeless when it comes to fighting. Besides it's your first time outside, you probably have no idea how cruel this world is."

Shu narrowed his eyes at his statement, "I wasn't taught of anything in my entire life, but to be a slave to their business." He resorted shifting his glance to the waterfalls, clutching his palm firmly. This is it, he missed so much of his life in the course of these fifteen years.

"Well I can teach some self protecting techniques, if you want." Lui offered with a grim expression.

"You can?" Shu repeated uncertainly, has the werewolf race ever been the good teachers? They're ferocious and would rip a person's head off in a mere second effortlessly. Shu beamed an expression that clearly suggests curiousity. Lui nodded gracefully, finally he could learn something new.

Lui pushed himself off from the ground and offered a hand for the albino. Shu stared at his hand then back at Lui - there it was, his first time accepting the werewolf's offer. "You still had the dagger with you, don't you, sneaky pup."

"You sure are a good observer after all." Shu reached the back of his robe and pulled out the dagger from inside the sleeves he securely pressed against his skin.

"Pull a stunt that comes to mind. We can start from one step at once." Lui stood aside with a crossed arms. Shu stared down at the dagger in his arm, the hardcore metal of it chasing the tinge of warmth from his palm as he clutched it firmly, "Step out your right leg, tilt your body to the side and lower down as steady as possible. Imagine something and strike at it with full force."

Shu did as he was instructed, he lowered his body down keeping a strong hold on the ground as his toes grasped the grass underneath his feet, he tried to imagine the said something but came with nothing but thin air, "I can't imagine anything?" He wonder aloud.

Lui merely threw a glare at the boy, "Imagine it as your father. Don't you want to kill him?"

"But he's already dead though."

"Pup, don't be too naive, just do as I say." Lui gestured him to concentrate on what he was doing. Shu juts out his bottom lip not noticing the sarcasm, he naively stared at the open space before. His crimson eyes wandered on the space, trying hard to imagine a picture, however it was not working the way it should have. Shu really didn't want to kill his father, in fact, he simply wanted to escape from him, but never thought of killing that man. The driving force wasn't enough to make the boy continue his first attempt of training, "Quit staring, your eyes are going to pop out." Lui gave a triumphant smirk teasing Shu.

"Now I'm going to use you as the target." Shu resorts with a scowl.

Lui stretched his arms, rolling his shoulders backwards to relieve the muscle as he came closer and stopped a few feets away from the albino, "Come at me, pup. Let me groom you into a hybrid dog." He smirked tilting his head to the right.

Shu ignored his statement and focused on making a plan to attack the Alpha. Staring at the male in front him having his calm demeanor quickly made Shu have second thoughts, was this even possible to go all out on him? Shu cleared the thoughts off with a shook and concentrated once again. His eyes were fixed on anything but Lui. In a tensed silence, Shu charged at the white tyrant to strike a blow but within a blink of an eye, Lui skipped a beat faster and caught him off guard into tight headlock. "Excuse me can you stop using your werewolf privileges?" Shu twitched in strong his hold.

Lui released the albino, "Welp you're too slow and easily predictable."

"Well, my teacher is too bad at teaching." Shu resorts with a deadpanned face, he picked up the dagger and went on with everything but again the contact was never made. Lui was too fast on his reflexes and he could easily caught the boy off guard. This continued for what seems like hopeless hours of wasting time, Shu ended up losing at each attempt. Plopping down laying on the bed of grass, Shu wheezed out.

"Now you're giving up that easily." Lui hunkered beside the albino, playfully rubbing his swollen lips that coloured in a scarlet red, Shu must be tensed up that he subconsciously went too hard on himself, He thought. "You know what, when I'm facing someone, I wouldn't think them as the almighty. A fellow that
