His words sank in, and I could feel the seductive rush of blood coursing through my veins. At the same time, my chest tightened, and the weight of my body suddenly switched from one leg to the other as a result of an unintentional shift in my feet's weight. My bloodshot eyes focused on the white tyrant who was standing in front of me, his razor-sharp violet eyes scanning through my weak features—looking injured and petrified like a prey as they narrowed down along the road covered in wasted snow. If I said that I wasn't bothered by Alpha's gaze, I'd be lying, because I was.

The sound of silence ringing in my ears was accompanied by the sensation of his nerve-wracking glare searing through my skin and a gust of wind whipping my silvery hair into a scraggly mop besmirched with blood. A faint fog slowly rolled over, draping the forest with a surrendering scent of moist dew that cascaded all around the atmosphere of the forest reaching to touch every bit of life thriving there. The daunting, passive forest stretched into acres of white fields that one could see as far as the eyes could see.

My stomach was churning from the awful recollections that were still gnawing at my head and sending waves of nausea through my nostrils from the smell of perspiration and blood.

"Say something, snowflake. Damn, You're as quiet as ever."

I stepped back while hesitatingly pondering whether the white tyrant's smile indicates that he has previously known me. His response dispelled the uncertainties and put any doubts to rest. I moved inexplicably, which caused the Alpha to alertly growl. "Do you know me?"

"Have you stopped thinking about me?" The blood on my arms, which were racked with cuts and wounds, had dried up due to the nippy cold. He slid his eyes over them. I instinctively took a step backward to maintain a distance as the violet-eyed man was already strolling in my direction. The lingering silence outside of us was broken by his voice. "You were just a small child when I last saw you, crawling in my arms in the most adorable way. Your maturity is commendable considering how quickly humans age."

My gut lurched as I fell backwards, and my breathing grew shallow. I was aware that my parents have never expressed any affection toward me, much less the kinds of attention any child craves. However, I had no idea that my parents were capable of anything more heinous than giving their kid to the enemy of humanity. He ravaged the communities in less than a minute, having only needed a few hours to eradicate any signs of life that had been present in my hometown. "Such a lovely young lady ought to have been mine."

"I'm a guy."

A woman.

That offends me because I frequently get mistaken for a girl because I appear more graceful than those "Men" in my village do, who are strong. My mother's lovely looks are what I have in common.

"Still ideal for becoming my Luna. And bear my puppies."

If ever there was a moment to find a reason to want to kick someone in the nuts so badly, this was it. I had never anticipated finding a reason to do so.

In either case, I waited for him to finish talking before speaking up because I needed to formulate an escape strategy right away. Plan A: Execute a shift blow and flee. No, that would be too difficult; I could hardly move my lower body, and if I ever tried it, it would be so foolish of me to believe I could still make a quick getaway. He was able to locate and catch up with me fairly quickly. Plan B: attack while he is preoccupied. I wish someone had taught me how to defend myself with a dagger. Oh, dear.

"I'm sure you'd be a great mom to my puppies." He smirked and cocked his head slightly to the side, as if deciding from which angle I seemed more attractive. "You got the curves." He grinned triumphantly as he winked his eye.

"It was really audacious of you to assume that I would accept you."

"At the snap of a finger, hundreds of omegas and betas will appear in front of me beseeching. Take advantage of the fact that I knew you were the one for me the moment I laid eyes on you; consider yourself lucky."

I won't ever say that out loud, despite the fact that he's pretty attractive. Never. He commits homicide. Even though I despise them, he murdered my parents and the other villagers. That could be the reason I'm feeling nothing right now. I merely hoped that they wouldn't awake alive again because it was completely blank. Especially my father, I detest him. He is too vicious to go to such lengths to uphold his reputation. My older sister, who was still eight months old unborn, should be aborted, he advised. Because? Due to the fact that my father is the village leader, he desired a son to succeed him. And for that reason, I was born.

The neglected kid, that was me. A purely commercial means.

I exorcised the ideas and returned to my surroundings, but when I noticed that the Alpha was no longer in my line of sight, my pulse rate went into overdrive. I turned around to look for the tall man but couldn't spot him since I was too preoccupied with the recollections.

Did he left? That seems suspicious.

My attention was suddenly drawn to a snap of twigs, and as I swiftly glared in the direction of the left, I noticed him seated on one of the tall boughs, peering down at me with his legs crossed. He continued to give me strange looks while pinching the edge of a stray twig that he may have picked up from the bush. Okay, fighting him is already a fruitless plan, and to make matters worse, because he was perched on those tall boughs, there was no way I could ever get to him. Not that I would try to scale the structure to strike a blow. Who am I kidding?

Should I just leave at this point? This time I won't get caught by him. To balance my weight on the slick surface, I clenched my toes in an effort to gain a firm grip on the snow field. If only my body would comply, I could flee as far as I can. On normal days, I could run for miles without tiring, but when I had to sprint away to save my life, which was on the verge of passing away, I could hardly move. More fortunate than zero, in fact.

"Bunny, you can't escape from me." In a strange way, his smirks unsettled me. He uses sarcasm, and I don't even need to look at that stupid face to notice it. By doing this, he is implying that I am a wounded rabbit that he may use to his advantage.

My tongue clicked, "I've never claimed I can. Please close that enormous mouth of yours. I'm attempting to limp, if that makes sense."

His intimidating eyes skimmed down on me when I turned to look up at him and shot him a glare. This caused a chill to run down my spine and a cold sweat to break out on my cheek. I'm not going to allow him to come anywhere closer to me.

I overheard his sadistic laughter. "It's beneficial. Taking care of you by eliminating that gang of moron. You are my prized possession, after all." Wiping his fingernails on a piece of cloth, he stained it with the disgusting bloody brown colour.

In actuality, despite the fact that I should despise him for it, I don't. Not at all, not even close. If I may add, those people in my village are assholes. That horror made me want to flee. What they did to me. Never will I forget that.

"One that you owe me, Shu." He managed to leap off the branch and land on his feet precisely, which is something I could never hope to accomplish. Even if I tried such daring feats, I'd almost certainly end up with a few broken limbs.

As he walked closer to me, his broad shoulders rolled back as if to loosen up his muscles; I actually feel too small in front of him. "Aren't you supposed to thank me for sparing you from that nightmare?" His violet pupils, which were piercing in the rings of his eyes because of how pale his face was, loomed over to reach my level. He had wildly eyebrows, and his hair was dancing like a fire. "A thank you would be fine," He slipped his calloused hand into mine, lacing our fingers as he brought it to his mouth and brushed his lips softly against it.

"Prior to that, please know that I didn't request your assistance. Second, I won't forget that they are a member of my race, even if I still despise them. It was wrong what you did." Making no eye contact with the alpha, I turned my head away.

"With all due respect, my queen, please pardon me for saving you. I suppose my queen should have come with me in a golden chariot."

In an apparent attempt to pull my head back so that I could look squarely into his eyes, he lifted his left hand and grabbed hold of my chin. I sensed the overt irony in his words.

Our bodies brushed against each other as a hand was placed on my waist, luring me in and making my chest heated. My warm skin felt his frigid fingers pierce it as his hand moved up to the nape of my neck. I snuck my hand behind and yanked the knife I was safely concealing out.

"You are as gorgeous as a rose."

He buried his face into the crook of my neck and immediately sniffed it in search of the aroma of wild strawberries I usually wore, but his nostrils caught the smell of blood and perspiration as well as the scent of strangers who I attempted to save but who passed away before I could even aid them.

He grunted in a jealous manner, grasping a handful of my hair with great force, and baring his teeth. My throat seized up in a stifled whimper at the abrupt force applied to the back of my head, but he made no attempt to let me wriggle out of his firm grasps. "Mine." I unconsciously flinched as a result of his frightening roar.

I had a brief realisation at that point, but I'd prefer not say it again. I pulled away from the Alpha, which was nearly impossible given my weakness.

He put his calloused hands on either side of my waist and, with grace as if I were nothing, lifted me up and threw me over his shoulder. I put on some weight since my mother was excessively concerned about my health because I used to be underweight and dreadfully tiny. However, I don't enjoy eating much. If you lock me in a room, I can go three days without eating.

He said, "Gotta clean you up, Bunny," and I tucked my blade back into my pocket for fear he may notice it. If only I knew how to swing a dagger, that would be the only form of defence I could use to save my life.

It wasn't a good idea for me to try to fight the Alpha back; my injured shoulder was burning against the frayed robes like someone had just poured acid on a broken skin, ripping the flesh off alive. The pain was excruciating, and I briefly believed that I might pass out from the blood rushing through my head.

As he raced through the dense forest toward a fate I wasn't entirely sure how to handle yet, his walk changed to a trot and then a run. He felt alive as he did so. Even as he was carrying me, his shift movements were faster and more consistent; they resembled the bullet trains travelling at breakneck speeds.

He is considerably taller than the ordinary human being, even in his human shape. He made long jumps from trees, which gave the impression that he was soaring through the darkness. My hair, which is completely white as snow, was caressed by the air surge.

As I gazed in admiration at the brilliant stars in the pitch-black sky, I arched my brows in astonishment. A hand was extended toward the sky as if to grasp the brightest star I could discover among the billions of dispersed stars. This was the highest I had ever been in the sky.

"The sky looks lovely." The Alpha snorted behind me as I habitually muttered a faint whisper. I disregarded his snide grin.

After briefly soaring through the ominous skies on a chilly winter night, he finally came to rest in front of a cabinet in the woods, which the majority of people probably were unaware even existed. My father used to tell me never to enter these mystical forests because if you do, death will be at your feet. But I'm here. the monster who killed my parents snatched me. If I may add, I gave him a fairly powerful elbow to the back.

"Put me down, you idiot." He didn't appear worried by the fact that I struck him so hard, so it must have seemed like a minor brush to him. Seriously, what kind of stuff—Iron or something—are werewolves made of? I made a valiant effort to concede defeat. He will, however, have to pay eventually.

"Stop wriggling around like some lost puppy," He said.

"Hah? Excuse me, You took me hostage. It is unlawful." I could have struck a powerful hit on the back of his head to jolt some sense into that thick skull if I could have rotated my upper body. Now, I detest being helpless.

"Correction saved my princess from the high tower," He shrugged.

I cracked a dry chuckle at his jest. Who does he believe he is?

I was still clinging to his shoulder as he climbed the stairs, squirming under his mercy as the stairs creaked with each step. After making a left turn, he opened a door that I immediately recognised as the bathroom. I was placed on top next to the sink counter top and the door was then locked. "Don't." I didn't want him to undress me, so I clenched my thighs together and balled up. I'd rather die.

"Move." His assertive alpha instincts caused him to remove my hands, which were securely preventing him from stealing the bloody, torn-up robes. This humiliation is too much for me, so I droop my head as low as I can, squeeze my eyes shut, and wish I were dead. I was now exposed to the chilly air, leaving my chest bare and I could feel it kissing it. Does he intend to... I'm not prepared for anything like that, so no. I do not desire it.

He came with a first aid kit and set it beside me as I risked a glimpse up at the Alpha with my crimson eyes focused on his every activities. I pointed at the antiseptic and said almost whispering softly, "That one. I can do it myself," since he looked like he was having trouble deciding which one to use.

He hummed but prevented me from doing it on my own. Instead, he started cleaning my shoulder's bloody wound. The pain is excruciating, and I had to choke back the screams that unintentionally managed to leave my throat. He was aware of it and attempted to calm me by running his icy fingers over my hair. Although it was helpful, this is now too unpleasant. Now that he has mercilessly murdered those people without showing any remorse, this man is treating me with the utmost courtesy. Even so, is this the same person?

"Ow.." When he put the antiseptic on the wound, I cringed since it was burning much more. He muttered a brief apology and awaited my command to resume working. It took me all of ten seconds to nod before he continued. He cleaned up the wounds before getting ready for the bath.

The only thing I could think of. Blood rushes into my cheeks, and the heat settles on them as my heart beats at a hundred miles per second. "I,"

"I can wash myself off."

That was a pitiful attempt because he doesn't seem to be paying any attention to me.

That moron.

As hot streams soon engulfed the restroom, he checked the temperature. I sensed hands removing the remaining item of clothing that was sticking to my flesh, leaving me feeling more exposed.

Is there a hole here that I can fit into perfectly?

His calloused hands once more picked me up and made me sit on the tiled floor. The warm water strangely relaxed me as it ran through every fibre of my body.

If he had allowed me the luxury of having a bath on my own, I would have cherished this long-awaited experience. Every second is too uncomfortable; all I want to do is vanish. He stopped running the shower and shampooed my hair. The hands that now massage my head are the same ones that tore off the skin from hundreds of people's necks and were stained with blood.

"Turn around." I grudgingly followed his instructions in his domineering voice since if I disobeyed he would compel me to do it, which would give him the opportunity to touch my bare body. He cleaned my exhausted body for what felt like an eternity, and all I can do is beg the gods to help me forget this moment so I won't overthink it and get a headache.

I refused to dare look up to meet the Alpha's nerve-wracking glare, keeping my eyes glued to the tile floor the entire time. "Take as much time as you need, Shu. I'll get you some clothing and bring it back." The tenderness of his demanding tone remained. However, it sounds odd when he calls me by my first name. I've become accustomed to hearing names other than my given name most of the time.

A door closing sound caused me to sigh softly as relief swept over me from head to toe. I remained in the shower, leaning against the wall with my hands, allowing the water to trickle down the back of my neck. Before things get out of hand, I needed to quickly devise an escape strategy.

Either murder him or flee immediately.

But first, I need to acquire the responses to my inquiries from him. I almost fell asleep as the soothing hot water streamed down on me. Leave it all alone; I need to get some rest first.

As I opened the bathroom door, there was a knock. The Alpha returned carrying a fresh white towel and a big white shirt. "Wear this for the evening; I'll bring you some decent clothes tomorrow." Based on the size, I assume he owns the shirt. I hesitantly took the towel and wrapped it over myself as he handed me his shirt, but anything is always better than nothing. I haven't been looking up at him the entire time.

It feels lovely to take a warm shower and change into a clean robe afterward; it's as if my life has come back to me. I don't necessary need to feel like a lost dog, but rather like a human being once more.

My hand slipped down the smooth wooden railings as I descended the staircase. This location was incredibly orderly and roomy. He called my name and said, "Come over here." I complied and moved toward the kitchen. I'll be honest—I never imagined a werewolf to be as orderly as this one. Ah, I see—they're just like humans. "Sit down." Once more, I did what he said, behaving like a pupil obeying the teacher. I was given a bowl of noodles to eat.

"Are werewolves even capable of eating human food?" I inwardly berated myself for speaking out loud when he was standing right in front of me.

He arched an eyebrow "Why not? we don't always consume raw meat. Honestly, I detest the flavour of it." After the numerous inquiries I've made in this brief period, he finally responded to me. He took the seat across from mine and started to eat his own food like any other person would. "Quit staring at me like an inquisitive puppy." His eyes were closed as he said.

When he called me a puppy, I rolled my eyes. I'm a human, really. If he persists, there's a good risk I'll even lose track of who I am as a being. I already feel like a stray dog, and he already treats me like one. The fact that I can talk, use my hands, and walk on two legs makes a difference.

"Do you know who I am?"

"I don't believe people would want to know the name of their abductor." I'm not going to let him get away with kidnapping me. But he attended to my injuries, fed me, and provided a home for me to stay.

"Lui," After pausing, he responded. "My name's Lui."

Lui. Huh? He can be a model; to say he is attractive would be an understatement. I won't, however, say that out loud. Never.

"How." I went on with half-closed eyelids "How do you know who I am. And why did you bring me here rather than murder me. Why?"

To that, he made no response. This is something that I am aware of. Not at all. "Are you seeking me out because of my blood?" More so than before, my voice was barely audible as a whisper.
