Alicia's POV

"Are you sure I look okay?"

"You look beautiful Brit. You always do." I replied to an anxious Brittany. Nearly a year had passed since the incident and everything finally began to look up again. We had graduated high school and Asher and my relationship was blooming better than ever. Even Chance found his mate in a nearby pack. A girl called Charlie. All I can say is that they're both extremely happy and that makes me happy. Apart from that Brittany also found her mate Ryan. He's the beta of the same pack Charlie was from. What a coincidence, right?

"Well, then let's go" Brittany linked her arm around mine as we made our way downstairs. Chance stood and the bottom of the stairs with Brittany's bags along with Charlie. Asher stood across the room with Ryan. Brittany clutched onto my arm harder and I just squeezed hers back in reassurance. As soon as Asher looked up he sent a small smile in my direction and I returned it. Constantly, I can't help but think about how lucky I am to have Asher. Not only that but I am lucky enough to see side of him that nobody else will ever see.

I let out a sigh of appreciation leading Brittany down the final step. Brittany was about to leave our Pack to join her Mate. It was a bitter sweet moment. Chance walked up to Brittany engulfing her in a hug. Letting them have their moment, I walked over to Asher who instantly wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I never really liked you anyway" he ruffled her hair. He released her turning around.

"And Mum always liked me more" he flipped his imaginary hair over his shoulder.

"I highly doubt that" she scoffed. She punched him in shoulder giving him another hug before moving onto Charlie.

"We haven't had much time together but I'm sure we'll be the best of friends" she laughed before moving onto Asher and I. She stood in front of the two of us resting her hands on her hips.

"I hope I get an invite through the post soon." I scrunched my eyebrows at her and so did Asher.

"An Invite for what?" I asked and she just laughed.

"Your wedding. Duh"

"When are you guys planning on officially getting married?" Ryan asked and I just smiled turning to him.

"Well, It's going to have to be soon. Since well, he's gonna be the father of my child" I smiled cheekily.

"Say what now?" Brittany choked.

"Are you serious?" Chance ran towards me. I held my breath and turned to Asher who just stood frozen in his position staring at me.

"I'm pregnant" I had found out a few weeks ago but didn't know how to tell Asher. All I knew is that I wanted it to be a surprise. I bit my lip waiting for his reaction.

"You have to be fucking kidding me!" my head flew to the direction of the door where Alec stood with his mouth wide open.

"Why am I finding out just now? We're supposed to have that best friend moment." he moaned marching his way over to me. He engulfed me in a hug once he got to me.

"I'm so happy for you. Congratulations" Alec had left for our old pack once I was back up again. He had to leave one day and we all knew it was going to happen. But that doesn't mean we didn't visit each other. In fact Asher and Alpha Butler had decided to join the Packs very soon, which was amazing. Everyone came up to me one by one congratulating me. Everyone except Asher. I turned to him and he was still stood in the same position. As soon as our eyes met he grabbed my wrist dragging me away from everyone. As soon as we were away from everyone's sight, Asher grabbed my other wrist pinning them against the wall attacking my lips with his own.

"Can I do it?"

"Do what?" I rested my forehead against his waiting for his reply.

"Can I be a father?" 

"Will I be able to protect them? I'm not perfect enough to be a father" He wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer resting his head in the crook of my neck. I wound my arm around his neck, resting my hand in his hair.

"There's one thing you don't understand. Fathering is not something perfect men do, but something that perfects the man. And I don't think you're going to be a father, because anyone can be a father. You're going to be a dad because it takes someone special to be a dad. And there's no one more special than you." I stood on my toes pecking his nose.

"You make me complete." He whispered looking down at me.

"You make me smile when I have no reason to. When everything in my life is going wrong, I call you and you make everything better. I love you so much and I didn't even know what love meant before I met you." He continued. I was so deeply in love with the man standing in front of me and he didn't even know half of it.

"I love you too. I am who I am because of you. You are every reason, every hope and every dream I have ever had, and no matter whatever happens to us in the future, every day we are together is the greatest day of my life. I will always be yours." I promised trying to keep myself from crying.

"As I'll always be yours" He replied capturing my lips again. I am his and he is mine. We are one. And I wouldn't have it any other way.
