"You have to wear that dress tonight" Brittany said from the bed. Brit, Alec and I were all huddled in my room, planning our outfits for tonight. What is tonight you may ask. Well, tonight is the Alpha's twenty second birthday. It's amazing how close our birthdays are. Today is the Alpha's, in a weeks time it's Alec's and a few weeks after, it is mine.

"I'm not sure." I asked consciously. Alec grunts before walking over to me gripping onto my shoulders.

"Ali. You're hot. Show it off" Was all he said before stalking back to his seat. I didn't want to look too classy or too tacky. I wanted to impress the Alpha.

"I agree. Go for it" Brittany agreed. Sighing I picked up the outfit heading into the shower. After showering I quickly blow dried my hair before changing into my outfit. It was a navy cocktail dress, sequenced around the breasts. The entire back was made out of mesh along with parts of the front.

Walking out, I noticed only Brittany was left in my room. She was all dressed and was applying her make-up.

"You look beautiful." I complimented her once she turned around to face me. She grinned, thanking me, before dragging my arse to sit in the chair in front of the mirror.

"Lets blow the Alpha away." She exclaimed starting my make-up. I got as comfortable as I possible could because I knew that this would last a while. I'm not someone who is against make-up. I love make-up, because it makes me comfortable and if I'm comfortable I'm happy. What I don't like is, being confined in a chair for hours straight. Now that's what I call torture.

Brittany yanked at my hair one more time before moving back, squealing. "Okay, look." I look towards the mirror and can't help but appreciate the art on my face. Neither did it look like a colouring book and neither did it look like I hadn't slept for a week. It was perfect.

"Thank you" I stood up hugging Brittany. She laughed wrapping her arms back around me.

"You're welcome. Now go wear your shoes, we're already late." She shoved the heels in my direction, sitting down to wear her own. Standing up Brittany waited for me to finish before linking her arm with mine, walking us both to the party.

As we descended from the stairs and headed towards the ball room. The Alpha always had a formal ball where he invited many Alphas from nearby lands. As we approached the already open door, we were greeted by soft music and nothing else. Everyone was awkwardly stood in their places, looking towards the crowd not making a sound.

"I think the Alphas already here" Brittany whispered. I nodded my head finally understanding the reason behind the silence.

"Why are you all so silent? You are all allowed to speak" Chance's voice booms across the hall. Quiet muttering could be heard before they converted into loud shouts.

"You look beautiful" Chance says as we approach him.

"Thank you" Brittany replied

"Not you. You still look like a monkey" Chance responds making a face making me laugh. Brittany glared at him before rolling her eyes and walking away.

"You looking for the Alpha?" Chance teased. I blushed looking down.

"No" I mumbled. He laughed pointing at the bar. There stood the Alpha in all his glory. His suit hugged him in all the right places. His muscles bulging out making it hard for me not to stare.

"You've got a little something there" Chance spoke up pointing to my chin. I instantly raised my hand to wipe the drool only to realise he was kidding. I slapped his shoulder playfully in reply.

The next hour, I spent with Alec as he introduced me to some pack members he had made friends with along with Alphas from other packs. I was in the middle of a conversation with Alec when I saw a familiar figure.

"Dad" I yelled jumping in his arm, he just laughed.

"How are you?" I asked stepping back grinning. He wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"I'm good. How have you been. Everyone treating you okay?" He asked worried.

"Everything's perfect" I smiled. That's when I spotted Alpha Butler. I wrapped my arm around my Dads leading us to him.

"Alpha" I addressed respectfully. He turned around smiling, softly wrapping an arm around me in a side hug.

"Alicia. It's so nice to finally see you again"

"I could say the same thing to you." Alec came to stand at my side.

"Did you know?" I asked him. He nodded grinning a goofy smile.

"Why didn't you tell me" I jabbed his ribs. He just shrugged before sarcastically mouthing 'didn't wanna'. Before I could reply I was yanked by the arm.

"Sorry." Brittany apologised to Alec before turning back to me. "Chance thinks it's a good time to get out the cake. I think you should do the honours" She explained.

"I don't know, wha-"

"Nothing's going to happen. Chance knows. Now go" Brittany pushed me towards the door. I nodded walking out of the door completely and to the kitchen. I opened the fridge removing the cake, placing it on the table. I adjusted my dress so that I wouldn't trip on it, before lifting the cake once again.

This will be the first time tonight, I'll be facing the Alpha. Swallowing my nerves I walk through the ball room doors once again. The lights were now dimmed and the spot light was focusing on me.

Even though the room was dark, I could still the one person who made my heart skip a beat. He stood there, his hands tucked in his pockets, staring at me. His eyes moved down before moving back up. When I got into a ten feet radius, everything became more defined. He was beautiful. I was so entranced by the Alphas beauty I didn't the notice the foot in front of me.

Within a second I tripped over the foot, causing the cake to fly right out of my hands. I managed to keep my balance, but I couldn't ignore the gasps from around the room, and the inhuman growl from in front of me.

Hesitantly looking up, a shocked gasp left my mouth. The Alphas venomous gaze was fixed on me. He growled once more making me jump back two steps.

"I'm. . .I didn't mean t-" the Alpha cut me off with another growl. He looked around at everyone letting out a deadly growl making everything and everyone shoot out of the room. He looked back at me stepping forward.

"Alpha, let's talk th-"

"Alpha Butler. This is something Alpha Asher will sort out. It is best if you leave along with your Beta" Chance cuts Alpha Butler off pointing towards the door. Alpha Asher looked murderous at this point. His eyes glowed red. Alpha Butler hesitated before grabbing my Dads arm dragging him out of the room. Alpha Asher took another step forward ready to grab me. Before he could touch me though another figure stood in front of me.

"I will not allow you to touch her" Alec snarled. Alpha growled looking towards the Chance. Chance was instantly between Alpha and Alec.

"Alec, I think it's best you leave. I promise he won't hurt her." Chance promised. Alec looked unsure before blushing slightly heading towards the door. Chance followed after him, closing the door behind him. Too focused on the door, I was shocked when the Alpha pushed me against the wall, pinning my hands above my head. His face was still covered with cake but he's bloodshot eyes could be seen from a mile away.

"Happy Birthday Alpha" I muttered sheepishly.
