"Armani" I said turning around to face him.

"Yes?"

"I cannot tell you not to be angry, but do not allow that anger to consume you. Anger is one of the hardest emotions to tame, and if you cannot control it. It will control you" I said.

"Now go watch some TV"

I braced myself on the counter, noting that I cannot begin cooking while I'm this filthy. My thoughts were going at such a fast pace I was unable to keep up.

"Are you going to tell me who this kid is, and why he is here?" I heard Michael's voice from the kitchen entrance.

"His name is Armani, he's ten and has an older brother. That's as much as I know if I'm being honest"  I ran a hand down my face in frustration, knowing full well that I could be charged with the abducting of a minor.

Michael looked at me expectantly, and I knew he wanted the entire story, so I told him how Armani helped me escape and how we ended up here.

"And this kid thinks his brother can help? And you believe him? G, every little kid thinks their sibling can save the world" he rolled his eyes.

"For Goddess' sake. Your brothers think you're the greatest being to walk this planet." He was furious at this point and I could tell.

"And I am, am I not?" I chuckled but he seemed less than amused.

"Calm down Michael, if his brother cannot help. I'll figure this out like I always do." I said patting his chest.

"Now I'm going to take a shower and get started on dinner. You know you're always free to go, this is my problem not yours" I said walking away.

"And you know I won't do that Genesis."

"DINNER" I shouted for Michael and Armani.

I still haven't gotten an opportunity to think all of this through but that shower and cooking really helped relieve some of my tension.

Feeling much lighter and freer, I allowed a small smile to grace my face despite myself. I wanted this someday, to be able to cook for my male and pups.

"If I had to wait any longer I would've died" Armani stressed, eagerly picking up his fork.

I watched him as he ate, picking around my food in the process. I didn't want to lecture him, but his seemingly trusting nature doesn't sit right with me. I've been in this pack for about a day and he has already chosen to help me instead of his pack mates that he has known for years.

And while trusting me saved my life, if I were anyone else it would have endangered his.

"What if I poisoned you?" I asked.

Both heads snapped up to meet me from where they were ravishing their meals. Men.

"What?" Michael choked.

"Not you Michael" tilting my head to the side I regarded the boy.

"Me?" He asked looking at me with curious eyes, mouth filled with vegetables. I nodded.

"Why would you do that?" He continued eating without a care.

"You don't know me Armani. You left with a stranger, to her house, eating her food. Do you have any idea how dangerous this is for you" my voice was firm, trying my best to get the intensity of the situation across without scaring him.

"Look, not everyone has good intentions. There are people that can harm you. Self preservation should be key among all else." I said and he nodded.

I hope he understood.

"On a lighter note mister" I said taking a bite of my meal.

"You curse a awful lot for a ten year old. Piss off?" I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Words are just words" he laughed.

"Kid got a point G" Michael interrupted, throwing a carrot at Armani's head.

"Mmmh. No throwing food in my kitchen thank you."

We all decided to watch a movie until Armani's brother got here, and at this very moment Armani and Michael were fighting for the remote.

"Give it to me" Armani growled in his bossy tone that I've gotten accustomed to in the few hours that I've known him.

"That tone may work on your play ground buddies pup but not on me" Michael laughed running around the coaches.

"Give it to me you inbred" Armani growled climbing over the coach trying to reach Michael.

Before I could realize what was happening my cushions started flying through the air. They were totally trashing my apartment but somehow I was content.

"Genesis! Tell this mongrel to give me the remote" Armani yelled, throwing yet another pillow at Michael as he held the remote above his head.

"At this point children, we won't even get to watch a movie" I said taking a sip of my juice.

"Ha ha, she basically called you a child" Armani laughed.

Michael stalked towards him, and I knew that look in his eyes. He's about to attack.

"No no no no" Armani screamed trying to get away.

My face fell in shock as he grabbed the boy, digging violently into his sides.

"Stop. Please stop"

I wish I could help him.

"Genesis! Help me!"

"Hel-p mmmm-eeee" he sputtered.

"Please. Please"

"STOP"

Better you than me buddy, if it's one type of torture in this world I could not take without folding, it's tickling.

While they were distracted I grabbed the remote, and turned it on to my favourite show.

"You kids can continue your little fight, or you can come and watch with me" I announced with a smirk.

"Oh no she didn't" Michael shouted.

Before I could react they were both on me, torturing me with tickles.

"Let me go" I growled through uncontrollable laughter.

We were so immersed in our joy we didn't hear the door unlock. A dangerous game.

"I thought you said she was a warrior Princess Armani" a voice boomed through the apartment causing us all to freeze.

"I could've killed you all without even catching a breath. Stand up"

The voice was strong and rough yet smooth. Molten lava. It held raw power that caused a chill down my spine.

We all seemed to snap out of it at the same time, Armani didn't seem phased by the deadly tone of the intruder's voice nor coldness in his stance.

"AMIR"

He sprung to his feet, ran and jumped on the man. And man he was, my beast purred in appreciation.

"Genesis, this is my brother. Amir"
