Before you start reading, yes I know that this is chepter twenty one. No, I did not skip chapter twenty it was marked as private so if you didn't read it, it's clear you aren't following me and if you want to read, you know what to do. I'm not pressed about it. Also sorry it took me so long to update, I have a life outside of Wattpad guys and you telling me to update is not going to make me move any faster! Anyway enough of this, enjoy the chapter :)

I stood in the doorway of the kitchen with my arms folded across my chest and watched my baby sister stuff her face. Don had sat out an array of different things from chicken wings, sandwiches, candy, fries and more. The poor girl must have been starving the way she was in there eating. "Hey Alayna." I greeted her ruffling her hair that was all over her head. She was so busy eating, she didn't even look my way or bother to speak.

I won't lie and say that I knew what to say or do at the moment because it was never just Alayna and me. Ant always was there and everything just flowed. Plus there was the fact I wasn't good with children wether it was playing or holding conversation. I wasn't planning on having kids so I felt I didn't need to know what to do with them. Guess I have to suck it up and get this over with because after all, Alayna was still my sister so I had to help the poor baby.

"So," I started unsure of what to say. "Where is your mommy?" At saying that, she looked up at me and shrugged before going back to her food. "Did she go to the store?" Shrug. "Were you home alone?" Shrug. What was her problem that she wouldn't speak to me? "Listen Alayna, I just want you to talk to me so we can find out some things. Can you do that?" I asked her. Again, she shrugged. I didn't know what to do to get her to speak so I headed back up the stairs to Don.

"What's going on?" he asked as I sat on the bed. "She won't talk to me so I don't know. All she does is shrug her little ass shoulders and I don't have the time." I said. "What you mean you don't have time, that's your sister." "You think I don't know that? Hand me my phone, I'll just call Ant." I held my hand out. "No." Don simply said. Rolling my eyes, I stood up crossing the room to get it myself but he grabbed it before I could. "You're not calling anyone B. I suggest you take your ass down those steps and get her to talk. She told me everything, she can tell you." "Well save me the trouble and tell me everything she said." Don smiled at me, a big goofy smile. "Get down those steps Britni Lashae or you will not be getting any type of sex from me until after your birthday. That's almost four months, you will go crazy."

I weighed my options. Talk to Alayna and get all the sex I want or not talk to her and get no sex. Tough. "I hate you." I said throwing a pillow at Don's head. "You love me." "I never said that." I tell him while walking off. After almost an hour, I still didn't get her to say a word. "Why won't you talk to me? Did I do something wrong?" She just looked up at me and stared. I took the time to really look at her and noticed she looked like me as a kid. From her almond shaped eyes to her pouty lips and milk chocolate complexion. "Okay since you don't want to say a word, let's head upstairs and get you ready for bed." She stood and followed me without a word. Once I got get situated in the bed, I cut the tv on for her. "If you need me or Don, we're in the next room. Okay?" She nodded and I closed the door shaking my head.

"How did it go?" "I tried and still no words." I said in a tired voice while sitting on his lap. "Come on, move. I'm playing the game." "Nooo. Talk to me." I whined while taking the controller out of his hands and pausing whatever game he was playing. "You said my sister tells you everything? How do you even know her that well for her to do that?" "She would come to your twins store after school and we would talk. And to be honest B, the girl is afraid of you and thinks you hate her." I sat there for a second thinking. "Well where did she get that from?" I asked knowing that he knew the answer. "I really don't know the answer to that." Sighing I rolled over to the spot next to him and slid under the covers. "I don't want her to think I hate her because I don't. I guess I'm still trying to grasp on to the fact that she's my sister and you know how I am about kids. Even if we're related, it's still awkward for me." "I know. Maybe by morning she'll talk." he said moving closer to me.

"So since I tried but she still failed to speak, does that mean no sex still because your manhood on my ass is kinda turning me on..." I trailed off. Soon I was on my back, Don on top of me. As soon as he slid in, a knock on the door interrupted us. Fuck my life. "One second Alayna." Don called out. After placing boxers and shorts back on his body and me a tshirt and panties, he opened the door to a crying Alayna. "What's the matter?" he asked while picking her up. "I'm scared. Can I sleep in here with you?" she asked around her tears. I lowkey sucked my teeth and began changing the sheets as I heard Don tell her yes. Once back in the bed, Alayna got in between us and snuggled up to Don.

"Goodnight Britni. Goodnight D." she mumbled closing her eyes. So the kid does speak. I thought as I picked my phone up as it vibrated on the dresser.

Babe: We can finish what we started....

Me: No we can't. I want no more interruptions plus she's in the bed you perv....

Babe: You acting like this the only room that has a bed in this house just keep quiet and we can get it in ;)

I was done with this. "Babe, why are we texting each other right now?" I whispered. "I don't want to wake her up." he whispered back. "I can't sleep with you guys talking." came Alayna's voice. I shut my mouth, turned on my side and forced myself back to sleep.

"Good morning daddy." I spoke into the phone. "Good morning baby. What's going on?" "I have your daughter here." "Alayna? Why?" I ran down the events to my dad. "Should I bring her over or.." "I would say yes but uh, your grandfather doesn't know yet. Can you keep her for me? I'll try and get in touch with her mom." I fought the air for a minute before answering. "When does Papa leave? This is going to be awkward Daddy, she doesn't even speak to me forreal." "A week." he stated. "Seven damn days? What am I supposed to do with her for seven days?" "Watch your mouth Britni, you have an extra room in that apartment of yours, she can sleep in there. Make sure you feed her and gets to school. You can do it." So he just had all the answers. "The room has no furniture." "I'll give you the money to buy some. I have to go so kiss my baby for me and be nice to her." he said and hung up before I could answer.

I groaned walking back into the room where Don and Alayna were having a tickle fest. It was cute to say the least but I was feeling a little green that she wouldn't crack that shell when it was just the two of us. "Sorry to interrupt your fun you two but, we have things to do." I said sitting down on the chaise lounge in the corner of the room. "Come on Alayna so I can fix your hair up." She looked at Don as to get approval. "Go ahead Lay, she won't hurt you. If she does then we can beat her up." he smiled at her as she reluctantly got off of the bed and sat in the floor between my legs.

"How do you want it?" I asked fingering her wild hair. "Umm," she put her hand on her chin in thought. "Can I have it like yours?" I nodded and asked Don to bring my hair basket in. It took a long time to comb her long, thick hair and to get it into the fishtail braid. Watching as she admired her style in the mirror, I smiled before bending down to her height. "So a little birdie told me you're scared of me?" She shook her head yes. "You don't have to be, I haven't done anything for you to be afraid." I said. "Well you never do anything fun with me, only with Anthony. And you told Daddy that you didn't like that he called me baby girl." she sniffled. Oh no, please don't cry. "I'm sorry you feel that way, I am. And I'm busy at work to really spend time with you Alayna. As for the baby girl thing... I didn't like it at first because I was the baby but now that you're here, I'm not." She looked at me and a tear slid down her face and I wiped it away. "Well Anthony let's me come to his work, can I come to yours one day?" I smiled at her. "Of course. Matter of fact, you're staying at my place for a week, how would you like that?" "Sounds good." she said hugging me before walking away. "Oh yeah I forgot." she says turning back to me. "I still think you're mean." And with that, she skipped off. Brat.

"Is this my new house?" Alayna asked as we pulled into my apartment complex. "Something like that kid." I mumbled. I was tired and feeling grumpy from looking at bedroom sets and being dragged into all these girly children's stores. "You ready to set up shop?" I asked her as we opened boxes to the bedroom set. "Do you know what you're doing?" "Girl, I got this." I really didn't though and I knew Alayna could tell because twenty minutes later, Don was there coming to help. "Move, I can do this." I told him bumping into his side with my hip. "Alayna thinks otherwise." he said laughing. I needed to have a talk with her about using my phone to invite people over here even if it was my boyfriend. Forty five minutes later, the bed was up and I was getting ready to make it until the doorbell rang. I made my way to it and it was Kyra and Marcus.

"What brings you two by?" I asked hugging them both. "Just was in the neighborhood." Marcus said shrugging before dapping Don up. "So where's the kid?" Kyra asked looking around. "Back there in the guest room." I told her eyeing the bag that was in her hand. "What's in the bag?" "Your side boo." Kyra smiled looking over at Don. "Britni don't need no side boo Kyra, stop playing. Ignoring him I grabbed the brown paper bag. "Is it Walter?" I headed to the kitchen to sit the bottles in the freezer for a little. "Who is Walter?" I jumped because I didn't know Don had followed me in here. "Is that jealousy I hear?" I cupped my hand around my ear. He just stood there mugging. "Walter is wine babe, relax."

I walked back into the living room. "How you gonna drink with a kid in the house?" "She goes to sleep." I said taking a seat in his lap. "So I came to tell you some good news." Kyra said jumping up and down in her seat. "What? And don't be bouncing on my brand new couch." It was silent for a minute until Marcus broke it. "Kyra if you don't tell her. I ain't drive over here for nothing." he snapped. "Alright, alright. Damn." she said playing with her hands and that's when I noticed the big rock on her finger. "So niggas is engaged?" I questioned. "Ahh yes!!" Kyra yelled wiggling her hand at me while Marcus shook his head as we squealed together. "You outdid yourself there Marcus, congrats." I told him. "Yeah anything for my baby." he said causing Kyra to blush.

"I been waiting on this moment since high school the way y'all were." I said shaking my head. "You next sis." Marcus laughed pointing at me. "Uh no, I'm not." I said sitting back on Dons lap. "You don't plan on marrying me one day?" Don asked from behind me. I didn't say anything. "Okay sooo we're about to go. Nice seeing y'all." Marcus and Kyra excused themselves out. I got up to lock the door behind them. "So you plan on answering me?" "Not right now." I said pulling out shrimp and chicken breast, washing and cleaning them before placing them in a frying pan. Grabbing a big pot I boiled some water and got out cream, garlic and milk and began making alfredo sauce.

"Britni." I turned to see Alayna standing in the door of the kitchen. "What's up?" "I'm thirsty. Do you have apple juice?" I shook my head. "I'm all out. Can you tell Don to come here please?" She nodded and ran out in search of Don. They both came back. "Can you run to the store please? Apple juice, nestle tollhouse chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream. Whatever she wants too." I said fishing out money from my purse. They soon left and I went on to finish dinner. I decided on a glass of wine before they came back because I knew once my sister was in bed, Don was bringing the marriage thing up. I didn't want him to because that wasn't me. And we just got in this relationship, we shouldn't be thinking of marriage or kids yet.

Dinner was quiet with the exception of Alayna and Don talking about who knows what. If I didn't know any better, after watching my six year old sister, she had a crush on my boyfriend. "Can I have my cookies now?" Alayna asked. Looking at her plate, her broccoli was untouched. "After you eat your broccoli." I told her. "But I don't like it." "I didn't ask you that. No broccoli, no cookies." I said standing clearing the table. Don came in and grabbed two cookies and started back into the dining room. "You give her those and it's me and you." I warned only to get no response. Following him I saw my sisters plate clear of the vegetables, her munching the cookies and Don chewing what I assumed to be the broccoli. "You two aren't slick." I said digging into my bowl of ice cream. "The nasty food is gone though sissy." Sissy? Where did that come from? I wondered.

After getting Alayna showered and ready for bed, I made my way to my bedroom where I knew Don was waiting. "So." he said once I entered. "Don't beat around the bush. Say what you have to say." "You don't want to marry me one day?" I looked at him for a while. "Honestly I don't see myself being married... Ever! It's just not for me and don't get me wrong I want to be with you for a long time but this whole engaged and married thing, no. It's too soon to think about and I don't know. I mean we just got together. Why can't we just be together like we are now?" I said plopping down on the bed. "Did you hear what you just said? You want to be with me for a long time but you don't want to be married what type of bullshit is that? I'm twenty six years old and I want marriage before I turn thirty. You make no sense B and I don't even want to speak on it anymore." he said before standing up.

"I already know that you will be my wife one day. I knew since I first laid eyes on you, as cliche as that may sound. And It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that since day one I wanted to marry you. If I could've skipped the whole chase with you, you would already have my last name. Hell, I lov-" he stopped talking shaking his head.

Was he about to say what I think? I kind of started having a silent panic attack. He wasn't about to say that he loves me was he? He couldn't. "I'm heading home so I'll see you around. Don't forget to get Lay to school on time." I nodded my head as he pulled me up to my feet and into a hug. "This is my first night not sleeping by you in a while." I mumbled into his chest. "I know, I done got too used to sleeping beside you." Looking up at him. "Well stay." I poked my bottom lip out making him lean down and suck into his mouth. "No, as bad as I want to, we need this space and time apart." "Bye Adonis." I said pulling away.

A week later, I was sitting across from my parents at Olive Garden discussing this Alayna issue. "I've been trying to contact her mother since you called me and now it's disconnected and the house is empty." my dad sighed as our waiter came to fill our glasses with water. "I don't know where she could be." he shook his head. "Well listen Daddy, I don't mean to sound rude but it's been a week. Your precious Alayna is working my nerves. You need to do something. In other words, come get her. I need to get my groove on and it never happens with a kid around always interrupting." Both of them started laughing at me. "I'm serious." I said stabbing my salad. I had not seen Don all week but I was craving him.

"I'm not happy about this Derek, but I have no problem with your daughter staying with us. Might take some getting used to but it's alright." my mom finally spoke up. "Good luck you two. I almost had to pull my belt out on her yesterday for walking around in my brand new Babel Clou's." I said while shaking my head. "Not the Loubies!" my mom all but yelled. I nodded in confirmation. "She has a major crush on Adonis and tries to get cute up if she thinks he is coming by which he hasn't, it's funny. When we got her the first night I was a little jealous because she was all cuddled up to him." "Derek, have your belt ready and on demand. She ain't gonna be no fast one." "Why? We never beat Britni." "And look how she turned out." They went on to call me spoiled and rotten; all things that were not true as if I wasn't there. After our lunch, I went to pick my sister up from school.

"How was school?" I questioned once she was settled into the back seat. "Boring. Can we go see A-Money or Dee?" I laughed and shook my head. My twin really has her calling him "A-Money" as if he's somebody for real. "Not today. I have class to teach and you have homework to do." "I thought sisters were supposed to be fun." she pouted. "Who told you that?" Silence. The entire ride I was given the silent treatment. I didn't have time to be ignored by a little six year old kid. She was too bratty and smart mouthed for me.

"Why are we at Daddy's house?" "This is where you're staying now. Let's go because I have things to do." I told her while stepping out of the car. "B-but I wanna stay with you, not Daddy." "He wants you here." I said. "Did I do something wrong? If I did I'm sorry! I wanna live with you!" The tears started coming down and I was feeling bad. Bending down to her level, I wiped her tears with the pads of my thumbs. "Tell you what. How about you stay with Daddy and my mom during the week and you can stay with me on weekends." I looked at her. "Every weekend?" "Uhh, some weekends." "Pinky promise?" She asked holding her pinky. I just looked at it for a minute before latching my pinky onto hers. "Pinky promise. Now come on." I said leading her into the house. "Hey Mommy, here's Alayna. I can't stay I have to go." I rushed out in one breath while turning and rushing back out the door.

"Hey Brian, Ky and you are?" I asked the boy standing at the desk beside Kyra. "This is the kid I was telling you about." "TJ." he responded holding out his hand for me to take. "Britni. You look pretty young, how old are you?" He laughed at my question but didn't answer it. "Well?" "Don't listen to Miss Kyra over here, I'm 24. I'm far from a kid." he smiled a toothy smile. "Well TJ, I need to see what you're working with as far as dance skill. You ran my bestie for her money, I gotta see if you're worth taking mine." I grinned walking off to an open studio, the three following behind me.

"How much we talking?" he wondered. "How much you got?" I shot at him. "Shoot I got three beans on you Brit. What you putting up K?" Brian said. "I don't know Brian, I think I'm putting it on TJ here." Kyra said quietly. "So everybody putting three hundred in?" I asked making sure it was clear. They all nodded in agreement. "Get ready to have your money taken sweetheart." TJ said a little too cocky for my liking. "You talk too much man, dance." I said while turning on Love More by Chris Brown.

Watching TJ's moves I was a little intimidated at my go
