I sat on the couch watching Junior play on his new alphabet mat while I ate strawberries with a cherry cola infused whipped cream. "Have?" Junior said coming over to me with his hand out. I took a strawberry and dipped it into the cream and passed it off. "Dang is it good?" I asked my son who was slurping on the cream. He went to dip his juicy, drooled on berry back in before I could stop him. As if he knew how I felt about double dipping, he threw his head back and laughed showcasing his little teeth. Just this made me laugh.

"You're so silly. Come sit by me." I told him and patted the cushion beside me. He climbed up on the couch and placed his big head near my belly and started drifting off to sleep with his strawberry still in hand. "No." He said when I tried to take it. I just let him be and rubbed his head until he was finally in a slumber.

Minutes later Don walked in the house. "What's up?" He greeted me. "Nothing. I'm hungry." I said. "Then go eat." He said rolling his eyes. "Can you make me something?" I wasn't really trying to be standing over the stove. "You get on my nerves. What do you want?" He sighed. "Bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich. On potato bread and a slice of cheese." He eyed me for a minute and then shook his head. "You know you not supposed to be eating like that." I ignored him because he knew he wasn't telling me no. Unlike with Junior, I could eat almost anything with this baby. Nothing upset us at all.

I followed Don into the kitchen and sat at the island. "You don't have cheese." He told me. "Go get some." "I'm about to throw a raw piece of bacon at your ass." He threatened. "I dare you." I smirked already knowing that he wasn't going to. He continued cooking and five minutes later my sandwich was in front of me. "Thanks." I said before biting a huge chunk. A moan left my mouth it was so good.

"We need to talk." Don said as he took the seat in front of me. "I know." I sighed. "Okay, well, first things first I need to know why you waited so long to let me know." Hurt flashed through his eyes as I looked in them. "You said you didn't want anymore kids until we were married and then a few days after that I found out that I was expecting. I felt like you would've thought I purposely did it. I didn't want to make you mad." I admitted. "So were you ever going to tell me?" He asked. "Yeah. I was just waiting for the right time Adonis."

"Well I'm mad. I'm mad that you didn't say shit, mad that I had to hear it from someone other than you. I thought Kyra was joking but then when we had sex in Aruba I knew she wasn't." I rolled my eyes at the mentioning of Kyra's name. I still hadn't talked to her and we had been back almost a week. "You have every right to be mad but don't be mad that you didn't hear it from me first. Like I said I was going to tell you but bitches want to run to you and open their mouth. In no way should she have been comfortable enough to tell you anything about me. I don't care the reason that she did it or what about. Yeah she knew about it but she wasn't supposed to blab."

"You need to talk to her about that then." He said. "No, no I don't." I refused. It was still best for me to keep my distance from her because I would say some pretty hurtful things. "Why not? She's your best friend you two are like sisters." He pushed. "You're absolutely right but she crossed the damn line. I'm done talking about her." I said, getting up to put my plate in the sink. "Whatever. Stubborn ass." He muttered.

------------

"Get it Junior! Oh, oh snap you got the moves!" I egged my dancing son on. He was just jumping around and twirling his little body to Pharrell's Happy and I was dancing right along with him. I grabbed his hands and we started stomping our feet together. "Because I'm happy!" I sang. "Appyyyy!!!!" Junior yelled at the top of his lungs, mispronouncing the word making me smile harder than ever. Just when we were really getting into the song, it was turned off. I stopped dancing but my poor baby was still going unaware that the song wasn't playing. "Appy! Appy!" He yelled again.

"Can y'all please stop making all that noise? I'm trying to sleep." Don said with his arms folded across his chest. "No, we are having fun. This is what we do after his dinner so he can get tired before bed." I said turning the radio back on. No Flex Zone was now on, this was also our jam. I flipped my hair and started dancing again and Junior started walking back and forth to the beat. Again, Don turned it off. I turned it back on only for him to turn it off. "Don, stop playing." I said and cut it on. This went back and forth until the power button fell off leaving us in silence.

"Look what you did!" I cut my eyes at him. "I told your ass that I was trying to sleep. Oh well." He said. "And I told you that it wasn't going off, that this is what we do." I said. "So you're just going to disrespect me like that?" He smirked. I glanced at Junior who wasn't paying us any attention and playing with some toys. "You are aware that we are in MY house if anybody is being disrespectful then it's you. You broke my radio."

"You are aware that I give you money to pay the bills in here so I believe it's MY house. I'm the king of this castle." He smiled as if he had just won this battle. "Ha! That's where you're wrong. What you give me to pay bills is sitting right back in your bank account. I don't need your money Adonis, I have my own. I pay my own damn bills. Go to 1433 Susquehanna Court and go to sleep and throw that money shit in your own face. You are unable to do that at 17 Millstream Road, nigga this is my shit. And if you would like to own something in here then own the new radio that you're going to be buying." I snapped. "Whatever Britni." He said before walking away. I knew he was mad that I shut his ass down.

"Mama!" Junior shouted getting my attention. "Yes baby?" I asked. He came over and grabbed my hand and lead me to the kitchen and pointed at Don who was getting cookies from the cookie jar. He was basically telling on Don because I had recently told Junior that he couldn't eat anymore cookies today. "Have?" He asked me. "No." I said at the same time Don handed him one. "Too late." Don laughed. "Well you have fun putting him to bed." I laughed at his face before going into my room. Putting Junior to bed was a whole job in itself and I was glad that I no longer had to do it.

"Did you have fun putting your son to bed?" I asked Don when he finally came downstairs. "Yup. The boy is too grown for his age and he thinks he's slick, kept playing like he was sleeping when he wasn't. And why does he talk so much? I mean I don't really know what he says but I pulled some words." He shook his head. "That's them James family genes, what can I say." I laughed. "Psh, it's actually the Smith genes. We are too smart for our own damn good." He waved me off. "Is that right?" I asked and he nodded.

"Then explain cousin Jesse." I tried to hold my laugh in but it came out anyway. "Man, cousin Jesse don't count. His ass got the iq of a squirrel." He smacked his lips. "More like a doorknob. Do I need to pull up the episode of Family Feud that he was on? Steve Harvey said name a food that you use in the bedroom and this nigga said gravy! What the hell is in his room? A plate of biscuits?" I bust out laughing all over again.

"You not gonna be going in on my family. Let's not start on your cousin, Earl." Don said and I stopped laughing. "Don't come at Earl. He ain't did nothing to you." I said. "Jesse ain't did nothing to you." He pushed my head to the side. "Yes he did, he made me question if my son will use gravy in the bedroom when he gets a girlfriend." I snickered.

"You ain't funny little girl." Don laughed. "But I got you laughing though." I pumped my fist in victory. "B, you're wack. It's about time you accept it." He said. "You wack then because you love my wack ass." I told him. He raised his eyebrow at me and said, "Do I?" "I don't know do you?" I asked with my own eyebrow raised. "No. I love my other girlfriend too much to actually love you."

I took a pillow and hit him with it. "Get out." I mumbled, turning my body away from him. "C'mon really?" He asked. "Really go be with your other girlfriend since you love that bitch so much." I heard him sigh. "Are you serious right now?" "You don't love me so why does it matter!" I raised my voice and sat up with tears in my eyes. He came over to me and pulled me into his arms.

"I was just kidding. I love you so much and you know that." He said before kissing the top of my head. I didn't say anything and just kept my face in the crook of his neck. He tried to lay me back down but I tightened my hold on him. "I'm sorry, don't let me go." I mumbled. "I know it's just your pregnancy hormones that got you trippin' like this." He said softly in my ear.

"You said you didn't love me and that broke my heart. It wasn't my hormones, I was really upset." I let him know. "I'm sorry." "It's okay." I said before he tried to lay me down again. "Why do you keep trying to let me go?" I asked. "I just want to slip out of these clothes." He laughed. "Oh, okay." I climbed off his lap and waited for him to undress. As soon as he was back on the bed I was all over him. "I don't know if I like the clingy you." Was the last thing I heard him say before my eyes closed.

---------

I had just finished making an omelette when Don had stopped by. He usually never came over this early in the morning so I knew he wanted something. "Good morning." We said together. I smiled as he sat down. "You made any for me?" He asked. I shook my head, "No because I didn't know that you were coming." I told him. "I want to talk to you about something." He grabbed my glass of apple juice and chugged it before slamming it down. I mugged him so hard. "I was thirsty." He shrugged. "That doesn't mean you drink all my shit." I smacked my lips. He laughed and got up to get me some more.

"So what do you have planned for today?" He asked once he sat back down. "Well, I already took Junior to daycare so I'm just going to relax." I said. "You know what you really need to do?" He leaned forward and placed his elbows on the table. "What?" I asked. "Go down to that damn dance studio and talk to Kyra." He said. "No. I told you that I need to do that when I'm-" "She misses you! She doesn't even know why you're not talking to her, Britni. She thinks I haven't told you that I know you're pregnant again. Just go and say what you have to say and be done. You better not try and fight her either."

"She shouldn't have to think that, she let the fucking cat out of the bag! I don't care if she misses me or not, she broke a code by coming to you and telling my business. I'm not making any promises." I snapped pushing my plate away because I no longer had an appetite. We sat back and I began thinking and I had to voice these thoughts. "How do you know she misses me and doesn't know?" I squinted my eyes and sat back for an answer. "Uh, she stopped by last night and we talked. She said she's been stopping by since we came back and you never answer the door or phone calls." I held my hand up. "Say no more." I stood up and made my way to my bedroom.

I was heated all over again but I was trying not to let myself snap the way that I really wanted to. Kyra's ass was getting a little too comfortable with talking to Don while I wasn't around. I don't give a damn if we are speaking or not. I slipped a pair of shoes on and grabbed my keys. "So now that you know she came to me again you want to talk to her?" Don asked when I walked past him and to the door. "Yes and no. I need to check on my business anyway. I can't neglect what's precious to me because I'm not trying to talk to Kyra. I'll come by your house later and don't worry about getting Junior later either because my parents are keeping him overnight." I said before walking back to him and kissing his lips. "Lock the door on your way out!" I called. "Go easy on her." Don yelled.

I parked my car in front of the studio and took a little breather before I got out. After a little pep talk about keeping calm, I headed inside. "You finally came in." Tati said. She was sitting at the front desk looking bored. "Yeah, I had to. You have anything for me?" I said. "Yeah but it's all on your desk in your office. And some guy named Jay called, he wants to use the studio for a music video, here's his number and yesterday someone else called about you choreographing but they didn't leave any information so they'll probably call back. I would've told you at home but you were sleeping when I came in." She said. "Okay, I'll be in the back." I left her at the desk and entered my office. I could tell it hadn't been touched in a while besides what the cleaning crew had done.

I sat down and decided to go through a stack of files that sat on the corner of my desk. It was full of applicants for new dance instructors for this studio and the one that would be opening within the next two months. I was too busy to teach anymore plus since I'm pregnant I don't really have time to do so especially after I have the baby. A new baby plus Junior along with three businesses and Don and taking care of myself was a lot.

A knock sounded at the door. "Come in." I said. "Hey." Kyra spoke making me look up from the files. "Hello." I mumbled before looking back down. "I haven't heard from you in a while." She said. "Uh huh." I said. Yes, I was being just a little bit petty. An awkward silence filled the room before she decided to open her mouth again. "I stopped by your house a few times." "Did you knock?" I asked. "Yes but you never answered."

"I probably wasn't home." I said while shrugging my shoulders, knowing good and well that I was. "Your car was there." She informed me. "Oh." I continued going through the files. "Okay well I'll let you get back to what you're doing." She sighed. "That would be great. I'm just saying it doesn't look like you've done too much here."

I wasn't lying, as far as her having ownership in this studio there were plenty things undone. Just because I hadn't been in didn't mean all she had to do was come in and teach her classes and go. Hell, Tati was doing more than her and she was just a receptionist. Kyra opened her mouth and then closed it before turning around to leave. Just when she was almost out the door she turned back around and faced me.

"Do you have a problem or something going on? You're a little shut off with me right now." She said. I sat back in my chair and looked at her standing there with her hand on her hip and her weight on her left leg. "Yes Kyra, it's you." I told her. "Me?" She pointed at herself with a look of disbelief on her face. "Yes you. Maybe you didn't get it or pick up on it but I can't fuck with your ass right now. You broke the code by going to Don and telling him that I was pregnant after we had discussed several times that I was going to tell him." I said. She just stood there so I continued speaking since she was quiet.

"I don't know what you got from doing that or why you even thought it was fine for you to even go to him and tell him my business but you're wrong. I had every thought to curse your ass out but I won't give you the satisfaction. Just know one thing, if I ever catch wind of you talking to my man privately..." I stopped talking and let the little unfinished threat linger in the air. "He needed to know Britni. I was just-" "You were just trying to stir some shit up!" I yelled cutting her off.

"Oh cut the shit Britni. You always get mad over itty bitty shit, so what I told Don that you were pregnant. You were probably waiting until you gave birth to let him know. Somebody had to do it because you sure as hell weren't." She spat. "It wasn't your place to tell Kyra! How would you feel if I went to Marcus and told him that you've been cheating on him with Terron, who you got pregnant by and aborted it? You'd feel the same way that I do. I'm finished with this conversation."

I picked the remaining files up from my desk and placed them in my bag. I didn't even need to be here, raising my blood pressure and I don't need it any higher than it's already been. "You're really that mad huh? You swore you would never say anything about that." She said with a scared look on her face.

"So what if I said it, I should tell Marcus he's a sweet guy and you continue to say your world revolves around him when your sleeping with one of his friends. I hope he finds out because I'm tired of holding all your dirty secrets when you couldn't even hold my little one. I'm really not mad anymore Ky, I'm disappointed that you'd do that but shit happens." I shrugged before walking past her and bumping into Marcus.

I didn't even know that he was here so I hope he didn't hear what was said but then again, not my problem if he did. I reached the front desk and heard a bunch of yelling coming from the back. "Bye Tati, I'm gone. I don't think Kyra will be in for too long so you can call or email everyone and let them know classes are cancelled for today. I'm staying at Don's tonight also so I won't be home." I told her. "I'm on it. See you tomorrow." She waved.

-------

I let myself in Don's house after spending the rest of my day with Ant. We didn't do much except for my favorite thing in the world which was eating. I kicked my shoes off and unbuttoned my jeans before pulling them off right there in the living room. "Whoo." I breathed out. They were starting to get a little right especially around my stomach which I rubbed to ease the new found freedom. I was wondering why he hadn't came out from wherever he was to greet me so I decided to find him on my own.

After searching the whole downstairs and coming up short I decided to take a break before going upstairs. I was tired and out of breath. I waited about five minutes before walking up the steps, why were there so many in the first place? It was times like this where my lazy ass wished that this was a rancher. I found Don laying in bed flipping through tv channels. "Didn't you hear me calling you?" I asked. "Yeah." He nodded. "Well why didn't you answer me?" "I said I was up here. Did you see Kyra?"

"I did but I don't want to talk about that. We talked though and I didn't really go off so that's good." I told him before getting up on the bed and cuddling up to him. "I don't want to talk about it either I was just making sure you did what I said." He said. "I don't always have to do what you say." I rolled my eyes. He swore that he was always my boss. "Yes you do." He squeezed my thigh lightly. I ignored him and focused on the tv.

"Why do you watch this show?" I asked taking notice that Sex Sent Me To The ER was on. "Because it's funny. Who would've thought that people actually do harm that's so severe to themselves or their partner and they end up in the hospital?" He burst out into a fit of laughter after he asked that. My head bobbed up and down with his laughs since I was laying on his chest. "It's not that funny and stop laughing so I can relax." I told him.

"But it is funny." He said after calming down. I shook my head. "These people should be embarrassed. You won't catch me on this show." "Of course not. We don't do things like these people. Well there was that one time I thought I'd have to take you but we won't talk about that." He smirked before kissing my forehead. "Yeah, let's not." I mumbled knowing exactly what he was talking about. I didn't want to relive that night.

"So, how's your head doing?" He was trying so hard not to laugh and failed. "Move." I said pushing him away. "I'm not going anywhere. This is my bed." He
