I sighed as I laid down on the bed of leaves, ready for the second night on the island. My body was exhausted from the eventful day. We had been busy on the beach today, creating the S.O.S. sign, then searched for food and walked a lot, so, it was satisfying tiredness that I felt.

Max fell down beside me and repeated my deep sigh. "Let's hope for rescue tomorrow," he then said. "New day, new chance."

"Yeah..."

No help had come again and if I was honest, I became more anxious with each passing hour. Thoughts slipped into my mind; what if nobody was going to find us ever? What would my family do? Oh, God, they must be worried to bits! What if I was going to suffer from a toothache? Or what if Max would break his leg? Or what if we would get a fever? There was no doctor here to help us and we had no medication either except for one strip of painkillers that we found in the rescue bag. We had explored a large part of the island today and it seemed to be super tiny so I doubted that people lived here. Shit, what if--

"Cassie?" Max's soft voice broke my worried mind.

I rolled to my side to face him and found him looking at me already. "Hm?"

"Are you worried?"

"Yeah, a little," I admitted.

"I could just hear the gears turning in your head," he tenderly smiled.

"Aren't you worried?" I asked.

"I try to keep it cool," he replied.

"I was just thinking, what if nobody comes for us? I mean, I know you told me that I shouldn't worry too much but..." I bit my lip.

"If you want to talk about it, we can. If you want to cry about it, you can too." He sweetly patted my shoulder. He was so nice.

"What if we will get into more trouble then we already are?" I asked. "We could get sick, get abducted by islanders, get struck by lightning, or killed by pirates!"

He started chuckling. He looked so handsome. "Pirates?" he asked with a raised brow.

"Yeah, I mean modern ones, of course, like smugglers. Not Captain Hook with his iron hand." I slapped his chest, teasingly.

"I know, but still...this isn't a movie." His eyes twinkled in the light of the dancing fire as he looked at me.

"What do you think would happen to us if we were in one?" I asked.

"A movie?" he asked, propping on an elbow. "I dunno, I hardly watch movies."

I guess we weren't gonna sleep just yet and even though I was really really tired, I didn't wanna sleep either. Besides that, I was on a fucking deserted island, I could sleep all day tomorrow if I wanted to! Right now, I wanted to keep talking to Max as if we hadn't been doing that all day already.

"You don't?" I asked.

"No," he answered. "I'm always busy with sports or hanging out with friends, being outside, school, work. You tell me what'll happen then. Will we get a happy ending?"

"Oh, of course," I said with determination even though I wasn't so sure about our rescue in real life. "We will absolutely get rescued. But first, we will get into this huge fight--"

"Hey, I don't want to fight with you!"

"Oh, but we'll make up later. During our fight, I will do something incredibly dumb, like exploring the island all alone during a thunderstorm because I need to prove that I am just as worthy as you are. Then I'll trip and sprain my ankle but, of course, you will come to rescue me and carry me on your shoulder back to the cave."

"So basically your whole adventurous trip would be for nothing?"

"Uhm yeah, you still had to save me. But I'll still be as worthy as you because I'll stand by your side when you become sick with fever a little later."

"Actually, I think we have already gone through the first half of that yesterday." He laughed. "And then what? What happens after I recover from my illness?"

"Well, then we'll face things together again. And we have grown closer. And then, we will...kiss," I answered while wiggling my eyebrows once. I was obviously joking around but my heart suddenly skipped a beat.

"We...will?" he whispered before I saw him swallow.

"If it was a movie, then, yeah..."

We were quiet for a few seconds, looking into each other's eyes before Max's eyes traced lower until he looked at my lips while licking over his bottom lip. Damn, that was sexy. It was a magical moment for real until a loud bang of thunder broke it and I shrieked like a schoolgirl!

"Fuck, that was loud," I cursed after I was recovered from the shock and we both started laughing.

"It's raining too," Max said as he laid on his back.

I just realized that we talked about so many things today, yet, I didn't really know what he did for work. He told me he was studying to become a vet, which was so cool to me. And I had shared all about my little company. I sold handmade chandeliers. Sounds pretty lame, doesn't it? Max had said it didn't sound lame at all, but that it was cool. I didn't know if he was honest, but I loved my job.

"You haven't told me what you do for a living."

"I haven't?"

"Nope," I answered as I rolled on my back as well.

"Oh, it's no secret. It's only a part-time job of course. I work at a bar."

"A bartender?" He nodded. "Oh, I bet you're popular with the ladies then, huh?"

"Haha, I suppose I can't really complain."

"Of course, you can't. You're a hot guy, Max."

Obviously, he was a popular guy. Just look at him! He was ripped, tattooed, got a gorgeous face, and a beautiful smile. Even his hair was amazing. I bet he made all the girls slide from their barstools.

I remembered when I was nineteen--I mean, twenty-eight isn't that old, but the first signs of deterioration were already there. But I was semi-hot at nineteen, at least hotter than I was now. I wish he could have met me back then. Now my hair was starting to get flat and dry, I got a few wrinkles here and there and, ugh...just ugh.

"You're a beautiful woman yourself."

"Pfff." I scoffed.

"I mean it... You're very attractive, Cassie. I bet you have loads of men courting you."

"Courting?" I laughed. "When were you born? In the Victorian era, or what?"

Max laughed too. "Haha, my mom watches a lot of period dramas. I sometimes happen to see a few scenes of it."

"Well, I wish they would, but no... And if one does court me, it turns out to be a huge asshole."

"Oh. Bad ex?" he asked.

"Yeah..." I answered. My ex, Henry, really scarred me for life, the bastard. "Him and I, we were even living together. Then one night I came home early. I was away with a group of friends but I started puking, so I returned home at ten instead of my usual two at night. Found him in bed with our neighbor!"

"Oh my fucking lord! He did not?"

"Oh, they did already, in my bed!"

"Fuck..." he shook his head.

Fuck. Oh, it's been a while since I fucked someone. And I missed it.

I glanced to my side and salivated at the sight of Max's bare torso before my eyes trailed lower, zooming in on the bulge that was there. He surely was packed. He had to be with that bump.

If there was one thing my ex liked, though, it was my capability of performing an excellent blowjob. Sadly they didn't seem to stop him from cheating but I know he really enjoyed them. No shit, he had nothing to complain about. I sucked him off a few times a week, for five years straight. I have done a lot of sucking cock in my life. I bet I would blow Max away with my skills... figuratively, I mean...

I quickly looked at the cave's ceiling when my belly was starting to feel tingly. And when I said belly, I meant pussy.

"Let's sleep," I said, feeling my cheeks getting warmer and warmer. Yeah, I should sleep.

"Ok, if you're getting cold, just...crawl against me...ok?"

"Hmm-hmm...."
