The lights were turned down and the stage was lit up by Lexi's beautiful presence. The play 'Our Life' had begun with a funeral and an amazing stage.

'How did she have the budget for this?' Josh asked with a chuckle

Lily just laughed slightly in return and looked back at the stage. There was no argument about Lexi's talent and how much Lily loved her sister. Lily sat there in awe as she heard the laughter coming from the audience and her mother loudly cheering her sister on. However, the mood of the play had changed really quickly and Lily was no longer in awe. She was confused.

'I think the most defining moment of my life was when both of my sisters hit puberty' Lexi said dramatically as the lights turned on to 'Hallie'.

'I feel so disgusting' Hallie cried as she was lowered by a heart from the ceiling

'Hey Hallie' Lexi replied while still looking at the stage, 'I'm kind of in the middle of something'

'This dress makes me look fat' Hallie said as she checked out herself on stage

'You see...' Lexi trailed on, 'Hallie is obsessed with boys, but Lola...she was living in a real life Twilight movie'

Suddenly, another blonde actress enters the stage with two younger boys standing beside her. The young freshman was standing between the two boys like she was making an important choice. Arguably, just like Bella Swan.

'But here was the catch' Lexi said as the actors took center stage, 'Lola was in love with one. The only boy she had ever loved. Jake'

Lexi had left the stage and it was now 'Lola' and 'Jake' looking at each other with sadness and pure love.

'Hey listen' the younger boy said, 'I love you and I wish things were different'

'Different?' Lola cried, 'Are you breaking up with me?'

'I'm sorry Lola' Jake said, 'But I have too many things going on...'

'But that was a lie' Lexi said coming back into the picture, 'He didn't have much going on. He was just an asshole and didn't deserve Lola's love'

In this moment, Lily knew that the contents of this play was way too close for comfort. She looked over to Cassie, who was also questioning what this play was about.

'So you see' Lexi went on, 'Jake had left Lola heartbroken...so devastated that she choose another guy with a girlfriend'

Lola had moved across the stage with another boy from the beginning of the play. However, Lola was met with another actress screaming at her.

'He's mine!' said the young girl, 'You stole him from me because Jake didn't love you anymore'

'This is true' commented Hallie from the background

Lily could feel the whole room beginning to close in on her. This play was about everyone! It was about her own fucking life. She wished that massive giant hole would just shallow her. Although, she wasn't the only person who had noticed this. Maddie and Kat were looking around, especially between Nate and Lily. Everyone in the room knew that Jake and Lola were not made up characters. Also, the 'screaming girl' was not made up from Lexi's imagination. It was Jessica screaming over Josh and Lily's short term thing. Now, Jessica had rushed up the stairs and slammed the concert hall doors shut.

'Excuse me' Josh whispered to Lily as he made his way outside

'What is happening?' Cassie asked quickly

'I don't know' Lily commented but she really did know, 'I think Lola is me'

'Hallie is so me' Cassie huffed as she rolled her eyes, 'I can't believe this'

The play had slowly moved on to something else. Well someone else. It was Rue's turn to be in the spotlight, but the doors of the concert hall opened up again. Maddie and Kat were the only ones to notice Jessica quickly making her way to the stage.

'What is she doing?' Kat asked as she grabbed onto Maddie's arm

'Lexi!' Jessica cries as she gets onto the stage, 'Where are you Lexi?'

Lily sat back in shock as she watched Jessica's eyes show pure madness. She took this time to quickly look around the room and noticed that Josh had left. However, Nate was still in his seat watching the play with a confused expression.

'Umm' Lexi mumbered

'What?' Jessica said with an agonizing tone, 'Did you really think I would sit there and let you embarrass me?'

'I'm not trying to embarrass you' Lexi said defensively

'Fuck' Suze whispered under her breath and quickly made her way to help Lexi

'Mum?' Lexi said with a hint of worry, 'What is she doing up here?'

'What am I doing up here?' Jessica laughed, 'Maybe because your sister is fucking bitch'

'Hey' Suze said with a stern tone, 'I think it's best if you get off the stage'

'Why?' Jessica cried, 'So she can embarrass everyone else?!'

'It's not that personal Jess' Lexi said as she wrapped her arms around her chest

'Get fucked' Jessica yelled, 'It is fucking personal...so you can talk about my life, but I can't defend myself?'

This time Jessica pointed this question to the audience. It was like she was truly trying to convince everyone that she was not on the urge of a mental breakdown.

'Okay I think it's best you go' Suze said protectively, 'I'm not going to let you ruin this for my daughter. Now get off'

'How about we talk about Lola?' Jessica smirked over to Lily and clearly ignoring Suze, 'I mean isn't that why we are here'

'Get off the stage!' an audience member yelled

'I mean where can I start to talk about fucking Lola' Jessica cried, 'First, she takes my boyfriend to this fucking play...just to make Jake jealous'

'Show us your tits' another audience member yelled

'Well let's not forget that you guys broke up' Maddie chimed in, 'It's fair game'

'It's really not' Jessica argued back, 'She's clearly having a breakdown over getting fucked over by Nate'

Lily felt the dark hole finally closing up. There was no way she could escape Jessica's anger and the burning look that she knew Nate was giving her right now.

'Shut the fuck up' Maddie cries back

'You shut up' Jessica screamed as her cheeks turned bright red, 'You're such a cunt'

'You're the fucking cunt bitch' Maddie screamed back to Jessica

'Girls please' Suze begged slightly, 'Let's just forget this'

Lily turned back to Lexi and made eye contact with her. She was scared and Lily wanted nothing more than to hug her sister. But she also knew that Lexi had put herself in this position. It was the double edge sword of writing a realistic play... The room was suddenly filled with laughter as everyone watched the actors trying to play along.

'Josh' Jessica screamed out with hot tears streaming down her face, 'Are you seriously going to let her do this to me?'

Lily thought Josh had left, but there he was standing at the top of the stairs. Josh was standing there truly dumbfounded and confused. Lily turned back to Cassie and knew that she needed to leave. She quickly moved from her seat and made her way out of the concert hall. Cassie jerked up and tried to follow her sister, but she noticed Nate already moving toward the back doors. Cassie knew it wasn't her problem to fix.

'This bitch needs to be put down' Maddie said as she pointed toward Jessica

'Maddie no' Kat yelled after her

'Beat her ass Maddie!' BB encouraged

All three girls had made their way to the stage and Maddie quickly got into Jessica. Cassie sat back in shock and watched her friends fight Jessica, like a pack of wild dogs at feeding time.

Lily rushed out the door and felt the cold air of the empty halls. She felt her heart racing in her chest and she could hear a slight ringing in her ears. She was about to have a panic attack. However, she was quickly snapped back into reality when Nate ran after her.

'Lily' Nate said breathlessly

'What Nate?' Lily said frantically, 'Do you want more money from me?'

'It's not what it looks like' Nate explained as he looked at the ground slightly

'Then what the fuck is it?' Lily cried as she tried to make direct eye contact with him

'It wasn't about you' Nate said while looking her in the eye, 'I know it looks bad, but I used that money to find out information about the tape and who had it'

'What the fuck are you on?' Lily cried out, 'You made a bet with Mckay to fuck me...for your fucking dad's protection?'

'No' Nate said sternly, 'At the carnival, I made a bet with Mckay for money and yes...to get with you, but it turned into something bigger'

'Bigger?' Lily asked

'I fall in love with you Lily' Nate said pathetically, 'At the time, I was being selfish and I wanted to protect my family, but now I don't'

Lily stood back in shock as she noticed Cassie coming around the corner. Nate hadn't noticed Cassie and kept talking.

'I'm so fucking sorry' Nate cried

Lily noticed a tear stream down Nate's cheek as he quickly wiped it away. It was the first time she had ever seen Nate truly venerable, besides the first time they had sex. 

'Look Lily I'm not expecting you to forgive me' Nate pleaded, 'But just so you know...it was never fake. I truly love you, even if you don't love me anymore'

There was nothing coming out of Lily's mouth, even though she had so much to say. Although, for some reason, she was having trouble coming up with the right thing to say. But, she also didn't know what to say to him.

'Cassie's here' Lily whispered as she held back sudden tears 

Nate looked over to Cassie as she stood there awkwardly. In this moment, Nate wanted to slap himself in the head as he knew Cassie heard their conversation.

'Alright' Nate said pathetically and breathed in harder 

Lily turned herself towards where Cassie was standing. She gave Cassie a look of 'please take me home so I can cry eyes out'. On the other side, Nate felt exactly the same way but it was hitting him worse now. He was now really living in hell and wondered if that last 'Alright' was the last thing he will ever say. He didn't want to let her go, but he also knew that he needed to.
