Later that day, Lexi walked to her sister's last class and waited for Lily to finish. She knew that she may be a while as Lily tended to speak to Kat for a while before they left. She decided to pass the time by skimming through her Instagram. Although she absolutely hated it and only followed a couple of people from school, she still wanted to keep up with Selena Gomez, who she absolutely loved. This was the thing about Lexi. She hated a lot of people at school and didn't really talk to many people except the girls that Cassie was friends with.

'Hey Lexi' Josh Davis cried out, 'What are you doing?'

Josh Davis was a fucking nerd. Everyone knew him as the guy who would help if you needed the answers to the next Biology test. Or he was usually seen trying to sell the football team the latest form of molly. Lexi didn't really like him that much and she much preferred his friend Ethan. Ethan was much nicer and in Lexi's opinion, he was more attractive.

'Nothing I'm just waiting for Lily' Lexi said as Lily and Kat walked out of their classroom.

Josh nodded like she had told him something important, 'I'm hoping that I see you guys at my party tonight'

One thing about Josh Davis besides being the leader of the Biology team, but he did know how to throw a party. Kat once said, 'Josh Davis reminds me of the movie project X but he's probably not hooking up with girls in the end'.

Before Lexi can say anything back to him, Kat and Lily were walking towards her. They arrived next to her and Josh had asked them the same question.

'Yes possibly' Kat responded

Josh looked over to Lily with a warm smile. She felt her heart jump a little. The thing about Josh Davis to Lily was that she thought he was attractive, compared to his friend Ethan. Even though she knew Josh was really into the drug scene, but she couldn't help but think he was mysterious.

'Alright I'll see you guys there' Josh smirked over at Lily as he allowed his eyes to look over her outfit or tried to imagine what was underneath.

'Ew Lily' Lexi said simply as they all started walking towards Kat's car, 'He's so gross'

'What?' Lily said defensively, 'I think he's cute'

Kat looked at both of them with an amused expression, 'Do you guys really fight over shit like this?'

Lily nodded simply but Lexi refused to let her sister control this conversation and explained that they don't always fight over this, but Josh Davis was just too weird to be with Lily.

'He's not that weird Lexi' Lily said, 'He's nice'

'Yeah he's nice to you because he wants to get in your pants' Lexi responded sharply

Both of the girls were dropped off by Kat later that day and they walked into their home together. Suze Howard was sitting in her normal spot in front of the TV with her signature glass of wine. In unison, Lily and Lexi said hello to their mother and went straight to their room. Immediately, they noticed that Cassie wasn't home yet. They knew where she was and they both didn't bother questioning it.

Josh Davis' house was full of students from all over town and the music was surprisingly louder than a festival. Lily and Lexi tended to match with their clothes at times. Sometimes it was noticeable and there were times where it wasn't. This time it was noticeable. They both chose to wear a pair of blue washed jeans with a floral blouse.

Walking into the house they both immediately were offended by the strong smell of weed and vomit, which belonged to Hannah from first period English. Lily stood there and watched Hannah puke all over the floor. She wondered where her friend Jess was, but this question was answered when she saw her trying to grab Nate Jacob's attention. Lily decided to watch this circus now, but she could tell that Nate was not interested in her acrobat show.

'Lily' she heard a voice scream from behind her.

She turned around to see her friend Jules with a smile on her face. Jules was undoubtedly beautiful and Lily imagined her friend being a model one day. Behind Jules stood her childhood friend, Rue. She decided to give Rue a warm smile but she knew that Rue was on drugs.

To Lily, Rue was an amazing friend and person in general. She always watched Rue's movements from a distance. This meant that Lily didn't want to involve herself in Rue's new life or the people she was hanging around with. Although, Lily did like Fez.

'Where's Lexi?' Rue asked as she wraps her arm around Lily's shoulder, 'I need to talk to her about something from class'

This was the thing about Rue. Lily never knew what her intentions were anymore or what she was thinking. Did she actually want to talk to Lexi about class? Or was it a code name for something else? Before the passing of her dad, Rue, Lily and Lexi were quite close. They would hang out with each other every single day after school. Rue would always come over to their house and all the girls would do their makeup or play truth or dare. Even though it was childish, Lily really missed the 'old Rue' and she struggled to understand why she would chose to put herself through hell with drugs.

'I'm not sure I think she went to get a drink' Lily said, 'Did you want me to call her?'

Rue shook her head furiously, 'Nah I'm good'

Lily noticed that Rue was not looking at her but somewhat through her. This made Lily's skin crawl and she felt her stomach fall. She knew that Rue was really struggling, but she decided to turn to Jules for some comfort or change of conversation. Jules didn't pick up on this social cue.

'I'm going to go to the bathroom' Lily said as she decided to take matters into her own hands, 'I'll be back'

Lily quickly walked towards the bathroom which she could see straight away. It wasn't like she knew her way around Josh's house, but somehow no one was using the bathroom, instead like Hannah it was a vomit party near the pool. Lily shook the knob to the bathroom door and realized that it was locked. She huffed but she was too nervous to ask if someone was in there. However, Nate Jacobs was not too shy to ask if someone was in there. He moved past Lily and tried to open the door, which followed with a loud knock.

'Is anyone in there?' Nate yelled out over the music but he did not get an answer.

Nate turned around with his arms crossed and looked over to Lily who was now leading against the wall. He looked down at her in a way that seemed like he was studying her. Lily immediately didn't like it and decided to break this weird eye contact.

'I don't know who's in there' she said, 'I think it's maybe locked with no one in there'

'Why would Josh lock the bathroom?' Nate asked, 'Does he want us to piss ourselves?'

Lily laughed softly, 'Maybe...'

'So I didn't think you liked parties' Nate commented, 'Didn't catch you as the type of girl who would like to come out'

Lily immediately felt like he was trying to get under her skin. Nate Jacobs tended to somewhat troll people or try to make people mad.

'How would you know that?' Lily clapped back, 'I've never even spoken to you before'

Nate nodded, 'True true'

'But I do know your sister' Nate chuckled, 'You guys are just very different'

She knew that he was talking about Cassie and he wasn't wrong. Her and Cassie were quite different. There were things Lily knew Cassie had done with boys at school. She didn't know what Nate meant by 'different' but she is assuming that he knows about Cassie's nudes. It made her blood boil that all of the football team had seen it.

'Are you trying to make a point?' Lily asked

'No just trying to make conversation' Nate added simply, 'Cassie is a nice girl I've heard..'

Before she could respond, the bathroom door busted open and scared them both from their conversation. Lily looked into the bathroom to find Mckay and her sister walking out the door.

'Oh for fuck sake' Lily thought

'Hey Lily' Cassie said

She smiled at her sister and cringed at her boyfriend zipping up his jeans. This time Nate was looking down at Cassie, which she noticed.

'Hi Nate' Cassie said softly as her eyes darted back between him and her sister.

'I didn't know you guys knew each other' Mckay commented

'We don't' Lily said as she watched Nate shut his mouth.

She knew he was going to comment something nasty, so she wanted to shut him down first. Lily knew that Nate Jacobs would shut down a lot of people, even if Maddy found him 'boring' or 'vanilla'.

Lily made her way back to Jules and Rue, but she was greeted by Lexi, Fez and Jules. She wondered immediately where Rue was, but she was also too scared to ask. She walked over to her sister sitting next to Fez on the coach.

'Lily Howard' Fez chuckled, 'Where have you been?'

Lily noticed that her sister was staring at Fez with puppy eyes. Lexi liked him and Lily could see right through her.

'I was waiting to go to the bathroom' Lily answered, 'But I didn't even have the chance to get in there'

Jules looked at her confused and asked, 'Why?'

'Cassie and Mckay possessed it with a sex demon' Lily joked, 'I rather burst my own bladder'

'That would suck for real' Fez commented ignoring the sex comment

Lily laughed softly and took a seat next to Fez with a drink in hand.

It was 3am and Lily was about to pass out on the coach. The party was getting to the point where everyone had either gone home or people were passed out in random places. She was still sitting next to Fez and Lexi, but there conversation was fading out. All Lily wanted to do was go home and Lexi was her only way home.

'Lexi' Lily managed to spit out, 'Can we head home now?'

Lexi looked over to her sister in slight annoyance. The truth was Lexi was really enjoying her time talking to Fez and she had a feeling that he felt the same. Although she didn't want to keep her sister waiting forever, she could speak to Fez forever.

Lexi and Lily finally made it home at 4am after Mckay had dropped all of the Howard sisters. They all took off their makeup and did their skincare routines in silence. It wasn't like they wanted to sit in silence, however they were all exhausted.

'Night everyone' Lily said breaking the tired silence

'Night' Cassie responded as she turned off her lamp on the bedside table

Lily opened her phone after seeing that Maddy had texted her a photo of Jules passed out on the floor. This made her smile and giggle quietly. She was worried that she would wake up her sisters but she was safe when she heard Cassie snoring loudly.

Maddy: Did you guys end up going home?

Lily: Yeahh....Mckay dropped us off..

Maddy: wow that's nice of him lmao

Lily laughed and wondered if Maddy liked Cassie and Mckay. She believed that Mckay was not popular between her friends, but they didn't want to hurt Cassie's feelings. The thought of messaging Maddy about her new boyfriend ended up coming but she remembered what Maddy had told her. The dating app talk came right back into her mind.

'You can't read about the love you wish to have' Maddy's words haunted her thoughts and the sad thing was she knew Maddy was right. This made her feel like she should try it.

She quickly downloaded the app and was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of questions she had to ask.

'No that's shit' Lily thought as she typed out 30 different names until she came up with, 'MsHoward26'

'Sounds decent' Lily said to her out loud as she starts to scroll through all the different guys and names.

Most of them were clearly anonymous guys from her school and she noticed that some had 'bi' or 'bi-curious' in their bios. She wondered if any of them were openly gay or hiding their sexuality. She found herself scrolling for a while and trying to guess who may be behind the profiles. Then suddenly, she received a message from 'Tyler'.

Tyler: Which Howard sister do I have the pleasure of speaking to?
