I'm not happy that I can't go with Pria to her doctor's appointment and there is no way to get out of it.

I was finishing up some contracts when my phone rang and well Angie must be making favors up in heaven because court was just canceled for tomorrow. The judge is sick.

I walked to Pria's desk and was smiling.

"Whats up Cheshire Cat?" She laughed.

"Court just got canceled for tomorrow because the judge is sick."

"Oh wow I'm so excited now you can go with me." She smiled.

"I sure can! Also, mom called and she's cooking tonight and wants us to come by. She's missing Kayden too." I said.

"Sounds good to me. I'm starving and now I'm eating for two." She whispered.

"I'm going to go gather up my things and I will be ready to go," I said.

"I'm going to go tell dad goodbye and I'll be ready as well." She said.

Once in the truck, we headed to the preschool to get Kayden. I walked in and got him and he was so talkative about what happened in class.

"Kayden we are going over to see grandma and grandpa," Pria said.

"Yay! Uncle Aaron too?" He asked.

"I'm not sure buddy but I hope so. Are you wanting to play ball with him?" I asked.

"Yup daddy." He smiled.

We pulled up and I got him out and he ran to the front door trying to open it and mom was staying there to wrap him in her arms.

"Come in guys! I have missed all of you! How's it going?"

"We are starving what did you make?" I laughed.

"My meatloaf that you love Dane with all the sides." Mom said.

"Oh, Kay it smells so good in here," Pria said taking her shoes off.

"You guys come on in. Aaron is on his way and so are Sofia and Holden." Mom said.

Dad was already sitting at the table ready to go. "Hungry dad?"

"I'm starving and this smell has killed me." He said picking up Kayden and kissing his face.

We sit down to eat and I noticed Pria was eating slow and it was probably because she was nauseous and if she gets up and runs to the bathroom they will all know.

Once dinner was over everyone headed to the living room for a while but Pria went to the bathroom.

"How's work going son?"

"Oh, dad about the same. People fighting over crazy stuff really." I laughed.

Kayden came running into the room with a sippy cup of juice and Aaron chasing him.

When Pria came out of the bathroom she didn't look too good and I knew we needed to get home.

"Well, we should get going," I said.

"No!" Kayden said.

"You don't want to go home with mommy and daddy?" Pria asked.

Kayden shook his head, yes and we all laughed.

"I think he's confused. I have court tomorrow and Pria will be busy as well so can you guys pick Kayden up tomorrow by 3?"

"We would love to Dane." Mom said.

"We appreciate it. You just walk inside and get him. We have all of you guys on the list to pick him up." I said.

"Don't worry son we will pick him up." Mom said handing over a plate of leftovers.

"Thanks, guys!" Pria said hugging my mom.

"See you all tomorrow!" I said as I picked up Kayden and took him to the truck.

On the way home I looked over at Pria. "Are you ok?"

"I am so sick just the smell of the food was killing me but I was trying not to puke because I didn't want them to know." She laughed.

"I will take care of Kayden and get him ready for bed and you go ahead and lay down if you need to," I said.

"I need to take some anti-nausea meds and see if that helps." She said.

Once home I got Kayden and went inside. "Let's go get you a bath champ and get ready for bed."

"Book daddy?"

"Of course I'll read you a book." I kissed the top of his head.

I got the water ready and put him in the bath and he played with his dinosaurs while I washed him.

Kayden is such a good little boy and I really hope he does ok with a sibling.

I got him out and dried him off and carried him to his bedroom and got him dressed for bed.

Pria walked in. "I just wanted my kisses goodnight Kayden."

Kayden hopped off the bed and ran over to Pria hugging her legs. She bent down and kissed his face and he placed his little arms around her neck squeezing her tight.

"I love you Kayden! Goodnight." She said.

"Nite mommy loves you." He said before jumping on the bed beside me.

"I'll be in after I read to him, love."

"Ok, I'll be in bed." She smiled walking out of the room.

Kayden picked his favorite book the very hungry caterpillar.

I got halfway through it and looked down and he was asleep. I got off the bed and covered him up and placed his Angie deer beside him.

I kissed his head and cut the light off with his night light shining bright and pulled his door up halfway.

I walked down to our room and Pria was in the bed looking at her phone curled up on her side.

"How are you feeling love?"

"A little better. I guess those meds have helped. I can't wait to get meds from Dr. Jessup tomorrow."

I slipped my clothes off and got in bed beside her and wrapped my arm around her as she laid her head on my chest.

"I hope he can give you something to help. As I was reading to Kayden I couldn't help but wonder how he will do with a sibling."

"I think he will be just fine." She said smiling up at me.

I leaned down and kissed her lips.
