Trin

"I should've told you this a long time ago," he shoved his hands in his front pockets.

I stood there waiting for the worst.

What's the worst thing that could come out of his mouth, in a moment like this? I thought to myself.

"Well." I crossed my arms and shifted all my weight to one leg.

"I knew your mom was alive, I was sent by her and your dad to watch and protect you." He paused. "But the more I watched, the more interested I got, I wanted to know you on a deeper level. And when I finally did, I really started diggin' you." He looked over at my mom as she scolded him. "Moms pissed cause I wasn't supposed to have contact with you, she thinks I'll slack on protecting you if I'm too caught up with you." His eyes finally met with mine and I felt a rage take over.

"I. Should. KILL YOU!" I rushed to him but Twan grabbed me, turning me around making me face the wall in his arms.

I was heated. For him to know I struggled with the passing of my parents, for so long, and he still didn't even try to squeeze in the fact that they were very well alive. How do you let someone you love, live like that?

"You two, get the fuck out! And don't come back, I don't need him watching me, and if I catch you, I'll have my brothers kill you nigga!" I spat finally getting to look at them again.

"Bab-"

"Fuck you!" I held up my middle finger and waved it around. "Get out before I start shoot-, where my gun, cause y'all think it's a game." I did a spin move on Twan getting out of his grip.

"Out." I pointed the gun to the both of them that I had in my hidden compartment in the kitchen.

My mom stepped closer to me as the gun shook in my hands. Was she testing me?

I gripped the gun tighter, sending a shot to her shoulder, on accident.

"Trinity!" Twan yelled rushing over to her body.

She hit the floor, firmly holding her hand against the fray wound. She bit her bottom lip in agony, throwing her head back.

"I'm s-sorry." I stood there shaking.
"It really wasn't my intention to shoot the gun, I was gripping it tighter, a-and-"

"We gotta get her to the hospital."

"No!" Twan pulled out his phone. "I got somebody."

After Twan finished his phone call, we got her in the back of his truck and pulled off, I didn't know where we were headed.

"Let's go." Twenty minutes later we pulled up at the trap spot, and three big niggas came running out. "She in the back, get her to Ariya and tell her to fix her up."

I rushed in behind Twan and Reem, with a nervous pit in my stomach. I really felt bad, I shouldn't have been pointing a gun at her in the first place. Now I really fucked up.

"Get me the first-aid kit from the bathroom." The girl working on my mom told another girl.

She swiftly moved from one room to another as the room filled with small grunts here and there. I stared at her the whole time, watching her movements, her facial expressions. I'm still in shock.

We caught a glimpse of each other staring, and I quickly turned my head away. I shook my head, heading out the room, not wanting to watch anymore.

"Baby com'er."

I snatched my arm away, I didn't wanna be touched by him. I didn't wanna see him, and I damn sure didn't wanna talk to him.

"You can say you're sorry a million times, you can explain to me how you didn't know how to tell me, or whatever excuse you have, but at the end of the day I really don't want to hear it. So save it." I held my hand up in his face with a look of disgust.

"Hear me out!" He yelled after me.

"What?"

"I fucked up, I know. I'm sorry, but you don't know it all."

"And what don't I know?" I snapped.

"I put my life in danger, my sister's life-" He lowered his voice and looked around as everyone stopped working to look over at us. "I had rules to follow and abide by, breaking them could've resulted in my death or my sister's. Your father's words. I had one job, and going into this I didn't think I'd fall in love with you. So I'm sorry if doing my job, and catchin' feelings was wrong. But now I don't wanna be right, it's done, I did my part and now I just want you." He pulled me into him as my eyes watered and my lips quivered. "I'm so sorry, I really am."

Khadijah

"And hold that position, for another ten seconds, you got this!" I blew out a breath after holding that squatting position.

I was at home watching videos on how to get my water to break faster, I was so ready to meet my babies. I was anxious, but Trey was on a whole other level. He talks to them all night, rubs them, and even play fights with my belly, saying, 'they're double teaming him already.'

Thinking about it just made me want to see exactly how he's gonna react to me going into labor.

Prank time.

I walked to the top of the stairs to see what he was doing, and just as I thought, he was playing the game with his headphones on.

"Baby." I called walking over to him.

He removed one of the headphones off of his ear, turning his head towards me. "Yeah baby, what's the deal?" He poked his lips out for a kiss.

I started bending down to meet his lips, and right in the middle, I faked a contraction. "Oooh." I screwed my face.

"What happened?" He looked at me with confusion written all over his face.

"I think I'm having a contraction." I rubbed my belly and took deep breaths in and out.

"You for real! Put some shoes on woman! Let's go!" He picked me up bridal style and sat me on the bed, grabbing my Nike slides out the closet and roughly forced them on my feet.

"Babe," I was laughing so hard I couldn't even get my sentence out, "why do you have that breast pump?" I continued laughing.

"Ain't this what they need to eat? My lil' niggas been in there for a long eight and a half months, they gon' be hungry, hungry." He stated with all seriousness.

"I was just kidding baby," I slid my swollen feet out of the shoes, "I'm not having contractions, it was a joke to see if you'd be ready."

He mugged me and threw the breast pump on the bed. "Man!" He sat back down to play his game, "Ight you playin' but when they actually come you gon' be crying." He started the game back up. "Treyyyyy helpppp! Oh my goodnesssss!" He tried mimicking my voice.

"I don't sound like that!" I threw a pillow at him, knocking over his Xbox.

"Khadijah!" He yelled.

I jumped up and ran out of the room going down the hall to the babies nursery room. I stood and admired it, I was so thankful to all the guys for coming over last week and putting it together.

It wasn't anything major, just something slight until we upgraded our home, which would be soon. I bent down to pick up Ced's 'Cubs' hat, feeling a sharp pain in my back.

"Shit." I sighed rubbing the area.

Ten seconds passed by, and another wave of pain came over me. This time it was like a huge force of pressure on my vaginal area, and a cramp in my abdomen area.

"Treeeeey!"

Water began trickling down my leg, and in that moment, my whole world paused, because my baby boys were about to make their presence known.

"I'm not in the mood for games D." Trey huffed as he walked in the nursery. His mouth dropped as he looked over me. "I ain't the smartest nigga, but I think you in labor."

"Duh! Don't just stand there, do something!" The pain was becoming unbearable, and these contractions were only a couple minutes apart.

"What we need?" He panicked running to the room.

"The car! My shoes! The babies' bag!" I threw suggestions at him left and right as I searched for my phone.

"Hello, yes, I'm going into labor!" I explained to Monique over the phone.

"I'm about to now, okay...bye."

"Trey! Mo and Korie are gonna come get everything we need, just get me to the h-hospital! Now!" I bent over in pain.

Lord give me strength.
